Compelled To Take Action? -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Jan. 26th - Sun., Feb. 1st, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week went really well: I was able to balance work with relaxation -- socializing and taking care of my body. It's amazing how much better I feel when I am able to do that. I set some beautiful New Moon intentions on Wednesday evening. It definitely helped last week, knowing that Mercury was stationing and going retrograde, I was able to relax more about little technology hiccups, miscommunications and typos… Made me think: If I brought this much understanding and love to myself all year long, it might just make my life even more beautiful than it already is ;-)

This week's headline items: the first Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Monday, late in the evening; Venus changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces on Tuesday late morning; and there are four Moon VoC phases this week — three of them run pretty long: Monday morning (the shortest, at 2 hours), Tuesday evening (20 hours), Friday early morning (almost 22 hours), and Sunday morning (28 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 11:37am EST. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Monday at 9:23am EST, we enter a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 11:37am EST. During this intuitive time, bring passion and charm to any connections with like-minded souls. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time.

Monday at 11:37am ESTthe Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Wednesday late afternoon. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-) This Moon placement also begins the build-up to the first Quarter Moon

Also on Monday, at 11:48pm EST, the first Quarter Moon in Taurus will become exact (we started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Taurus earlier in the day). The Moon, in steady, peaceful, comfort-oriented Taurus, makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in freedom-loving, forward-thinking, rebellious Aquarius.

We feel compelled to take action. The New Moon took place last Tuesday (Jan. 20th); any projects or initiatives begun around then are probably off the ground by now -- and facing their first obstacles. This aspect provides a time to stretch, grow, and thereby build some momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy: As best as you can, take it one breath at a time. Allow for change, stay flexible, and find creative solutions in your day-to-day dealings with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 5-9 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Tuesday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Monday late morning for details).

Tuesday at 10am ESTVenus changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius to creative, sensitive Pisces, where she will journey until Feb. 20th. For the next three and a half weeks, we have a chance to connect to other people from our compassionate heart. We may also idealize our relationships a little — we’re feeling quite romantic, and hopeful that our dreams will be fulfilled.

With Venus in Pisces, our love is very accepting -- it comes as close to "unconditional" as humans can get. One way this shows up: We root for the underdog. We prefer feeling things out to planning.

As you can imagine, we may spend our money on things that don’t make “sense” -- but if we heed intuition and allow for money to flow freely, we may discover that the Universe is always taking care of us ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces? If so, beauty and love will enhance your life for the next three-and-a-half weeks. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? You may feel a strong need for romance or unconditional love -- or dream of the ideal relationship. Your finances and values may undergo the spiritual process of releasing control and trusting more to intuition and the flow of life.

Tuesday at 9:18pm ESTwe enter another Moon void of course (VoC), this time for 20 hours — it ends at 5:36pm EST (Wednesday afternoon). This is an intuitive time; use it to make some adjustments in your life. Do your best to find creative solutions for the seemingly unsolvable. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time, as does planning your day before the VoC begins.

You may well feel two seemingly conflicting urges at this time: a desire to slow down and enjoy comfort and beauty — and an attraction to risk and fun. As best as you can, make space for both…

Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, an opportune Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:02am EST. We started to feel this aspect on Monday, early morning, it will stay strong until Friday morning. Given that Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius, this is actually the second of three such alignments that will occur within a six week period; each provides an opportunity to connect our thinking and communication to a brighter, more collaborative vision for the future.

It also brings an opportunity for insight, novelty and some really unusual conversations. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to realize it. The Mercury retrograde means we may experience this more internally (a really unusual conversation with ourselves, perhaps ;-)

This aspect also brings an opportunity to view things from a different perspective, or put a new spin on "old" thinking. We like to connect in unusual ways; any group activities or brainstorming with like-minded people could generate amazing insights -- this might be a busy day. As best as you can, or want to... stay open to other dimensions ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-15 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Virgo and Gemini; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Wednesday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus and VoC until 5:36pm EST (see Monday late morning and Tuesday evening for details). At this point, the Moon moves on into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it journeys until very early morning Saturday. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy, interacting online, via phone, or face-to-face.

With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and engage with life: If we’re not bored, we're good. As with some other aspects this week, the Mercury retrograde means we may experience this Gemini Moon phase internally, or reengage people and issues from the past three weeks…

Thursday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Wednesday afternoon for details).

Thursday, between 5:10am EST and 6:15pm EST: This is a great time for brainstorming with others, especially on things begun prior to Mercury going retrograde.

Thursday evening will require adjustments on our part, and a little stretching and growing, when it comes to inner or emotional experiences. As best as you can, be gentle with yourself and others... Seek to understand, then be understood. Trust divine timing.

Friday is quite a day -- lots going on!

Friday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Wednesday for details).

Very early on Friday morning (3:23am EST)a challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact; we started to feel this on Tuesday and will feel it strongly until Sunday. It asks us to stretch and grow beyond how we've known ourselves in our relationships up to this point -- a process of maturing that requires we adjust and stay flexible.

On the one hand, we want to make spiritual and/or romantic connections, while going with the flow, feeling our way through. On the other hand, we feel a sharp need to explore “the truth” about ourselves and others — to determine what beliefs align with our own direct experience. Do your best to make space for both of these urges.

We tend to be more cautious when it comes to relationships and finances now -- and in fact, this is not the best time to start a brand-new romantic relationship. Financially though, this aspect can be eye-opening; if we can find creative ways to deal with money, we will grow from it. The key is to approach things in both realms with intuition and maturity. Pushing doesn't always get us what we want: Sometimes, it’s better to go one step at a time; that way, we can come back later with a stronger approach and more mature expectations.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-6 degrees of Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo,? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

On Friday at 4:24am EST, we enter an almost 22-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that lasts until 2:09am EST (very early morning Saturday ). This intuitive time brings an opportunity to connect with others and have some fun. As always during VoC, take it easy. If possible, plan your day ahead of time, or stick to routine things — if not, just go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Friday morning: an opportune Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 8:40am EST. We’ve been feeling this aspect since Tuesday evening and it will feel it strongly until Monday of next week. It provides an opportunity to connect our personal passions to our Soul's passions. We can dream up creative solutions to problems and imaginative, unusual approaches to getting the job done. We favor subtle or peaceful solutions over conflict and confrontation.

Right now, it’s especially satisfying to do work that helps others — perhaps in support of a cause that transcends our own narrow, personal interests. We have the opportunity to be more than usually passionate, and are generally confident about our own talents; also to pursue our goals strategically, saving time and energy. Remember: Opportunities are not handed to us on a plate; we have to pursue and realize them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-16 degrees of Pisces, Capricorn, Scorpio or Taurus? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Mars's movements and aspects; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio, so they likewise feel Pluto's movements and aspects more strongly)

Also, Friday morninga Sun/Mercury alignment in 10 degrees of Aquarius  becomes exact at 8:45am EST. We started feeling this aspect build from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Sunday. When the Sun and Mercury come together, we are especially sharp, communicative, and open. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life.

Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next. What we say or write now has impact, so as best as you can, choose your words wisely. If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not "heard" -- if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that's ok.

We may be particularly stubborn during this time; it may not always be of service to us to dig our heels in: Choose your battles wisely. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde: Communicate from intuition. It could also be that an issue from a couple of weeks back needs to be re-communicated…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-12 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio or Leo ? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Saturday at 2am EST, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancerwhere it will journey until next week Monday. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.

Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

Saturday afternoona Mars/Chiron alignment in 15 degrees of Pisces becomes exact at 3:23pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. This connection brings emotional healing to our bodies. Seeking out energy healing or any other alternative forms of healing is going to be very beneficial, both to our emotional "bodies" and physical bodies. We may also find that music aids in our healing process, whether on a physical or emotional level.

This is also a great time to accept the validity of our own desires and feelings of anger; that way, when we do express them, we express them naturally and with confidence. Something may come along, related to a childhood wound, that we take personally; we may get triggered by this. Rather than suppressing your anger, as best as you can, allow yourself to feel it consciously; bring love and understanding to its origin.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars is the ruler of Aries, so those of us with these placements will always be affected more strongly by Mars's movements and aspects than others).

Sunday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Saturday very early morning for more details).

Sunday at 8:37am EST, we enter a 28-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that lasts until 12:41pm EST (Monday early afternoon). Use this intuitive time to allow for feelings to surface. This is also a good time for connecting to loved ones/family and for helping others with releasing any blockages or fears through spiritual endeavors or energy healing. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Sunday early afternoona Venus/Neptune alignment in 6 degrees of Pisces becomes exact at 12:36pm EST. We started to feel this aspect on Thursday, it will be strong until next week Tuesday. It asks us to dissolve anything that keeps us from opening our hearts more fully. This connection makes us dream of Soul connections with others.

We are highly romantic and may turn a blind eye to "what is", in pursuit of a fantasy that we want or need to have fulfilled. Be aware of anything that sounds too good to be true -- whether that's in connection with people or money -- 'cos it might just be exactly that: "too good to be true" ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-9 degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer and VoC until 12:41pm EST (see Saturday very early morning and Sunday morning for more details).

In the morningan opportune Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 7:30am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday morning on, it will be strong until Tuesday night.  We have the opportunity to become aware of an original or unique approach to life. Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store -- certainly unexpected ones ;-)

What is your uniqueness? How could you express that proudly and authentically? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us: We have to "realize" it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-15 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

At 12:41pm ESTthe Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leowhere it will journey until Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning. We have a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible, they will be deeply appreciated :-)

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you squeak just thinking about it? This also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon, exact Tuesday evening (Feb. 3rd) …more on that next week…

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Live Outside the Box -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Jan. 19th - Sun., Jan. 25th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was very busy. I made a long list of things that had to get done... and was able to accomplish most of them! I could feel this wanting-to-speed-things-up energy inside; I had to remind myself to take it one step at a time, get plenty of rest, and practice good self-care. The last Quarter Moon energy felt very much connected to all of this.

This week's headline items: On Tuesday, the Sun changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius and the New Moon in Aquarius becomes exact; Mercury comes to a halt on Wednesday (beginning a 3-week retrograde) and its station ends on Sunday.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 26 hours), Wednesday evening (for 11 hours), and Friday morning (for 26.5 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all dayIt will journey there until Tuesday morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.

We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do"  ;-)

Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Monday starts with a strong focus on accomplishing things and getting down to business. As best as you can, refrain from getting too obsessed with anything... Take some breaks ;-)

At 5:51am EST, we enter a 26-hour Moon void of course (VoC) which ends at 7:57am EST (Tuesday morning). This is an intuitive time, use it to nurture what you are building long-term and what you feel most passionate about. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time. It also helps planning your day ahead of time.

A Venus/Jupiter opposition will be exact at 8:44am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will be strong until Wednesday evening of next week. This is asking us to find an inner and outer balance between two apparently conflicting pulls: Our connection to future visions (i.e. making the world a better place for all of us), and our need for fun activities and creative self-expression.

We have a tendency to overestimate our personal capabilities right now: We want to do (and be) more than is actually possible right now. In the same spirit, we might also have a tendency to live beyond our means.

As you can see, we need to watch out for feeling overly-optimistic or -enthusiastic. Moderation is the keyword, with regard to both finances and our affections: Check your bank account... and keep it real ;-) As best as you can, find a balance between your head and your heart.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-23 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

A Mars/Neptune alignment in Pisces will be exact at 7:08pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will be strong until Friday of next week. This might contribute to feeling either a lack of physical energy, or a need to connect to spiritual or creative endeavors. As best as you can, be patient with your energy levels for this coming week; go with the flow whenever you can, and, just for now, see what is would feel like to let go of wanting to be "the first and the best".

This is definitely a highly imaginative time. The highest vibration of this aspect is idealistic, highly intuitive and romantic; on a lower level vibration, it's about not seeing reality clearly or wanting to avoid it, as it may be to painful to accept as it is. We might get confused or disappointed; things might seem a little foggy. Check in with others when creating new goals for yourself during this transit: get reality checks!

Remember: the more we fight against any energy pattern, the more we will experience its lowest vibration. As best as you can, let go and let flow ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-9 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Mars's movements and aspects; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, so Pisces people feel Neptune's movements and aspects more strongly than most)

As Monday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

Tuesday at 4:43am EST, the Sun changes signs from practical, cautious, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-loving, forward-thinking and objective Aquarius, where it will journey until Feb. 18th. For the next four weeks, we have advancement and progress in our hearts.

We want to get off the beaten path, leaving behind old and outdated ways of thinking and doing, throwing off personal and social conditioning – those restrictions, limitations and inhibitions that may once have felt safe, but now feel constraining.

Our idealism runs strong, but we can have some fixed ideas about how we want to accomplish these ideals – although we are open to new ideas in theory, in practice we may actually be quite stubborn.

Finally, we are also definitely more aware of the impact each individual has on the whole of society. All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Aquarius Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aquarius, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more objective than usual…working towards a vision for the future might be just the thing for you to do.

Tuesday at 7:59am ESTthe Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Thursday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Tuesday at 8:14am EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 0 degrees of Aquarius, This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. With the New Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, we have our eye on the future. We are seeing a clear vision for our life and are ready to make huge improvements. We strive for equality, collaboration and progress. Where are you called to make a difference?

On Tuesday at 8:14am EST, the Moon will align with the Sun in 0 degrees of Aquarius; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. With the New Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, we have our eye on the future. We are seeing a clear vision for our life and are ready to make huge improvements. We strive for equality, collaboration and progress. Where are you called to make a difference?

Just like the last New Moon (4 weeks ago), this one is also in the very beginning of a sign (0 degrees). This heightens the Aquarian energy and asks of us that we open up to “The New" — especially in the area of life that corresponds to wherever the New Moon falls in our birth chart. The effect is also accentuated by Mercury and Venus connecting in Aquarius.

The Aquarian energy is connected to our inner visionary, humanitarian, and agent of change who’s all about creating a better future for all. Aquarius deals with the power of ideals, technology, and inventions. We are interested in the collective and are focused on changing group consciousness. What can the individual do for humanity? What about groups? How can group consciousness shift the course of humanity?

Each one of us has a special gift, a spark unique to us; when we access this inner genius and share it with the world, we are capable of quantum leaps of insight and remarkable collaborations with others. How does your inner genius communicate?

Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius) aligns with the South Node in Aries and makes a tight square to Pluto in Capricorn; this is asking us to redefine personal and collective freedom. We are invited to release old patterns, especially around gender, so we can each fulfill our unique role at this critical juncture on Earth. Our individual capacity to effect change is greater by far than we realize. Aim for wholeness: Your light will shine all the brighter when all of you is visible :-)

We are being invited to not only think outside the box, but to live there too — to make adjustments and find creative solutions as we go — flexibility is called for, as is allowing ourselves to break out of our “normal” routines. We are all agents of change (this is even truer for those of us with Uranus, Aquarius or 11th house planets strongly emphasized in our birth chart).

This New Moon also squares the degree that the Solar Eclipse occurred in, back on Oct. 23rd, 2014, so this is a turning point in our Soul’s Journey: We are invited to move to the next level. Flexibility and an open mind will support us with that movement. What important changes were happening for you three months ago? What are you ready to tackle now?

Mercury goes retrograde the day after the New Moon becomes exact. As best you can, take time for reflection, attune to insights from your higher Self. Ask yourself: Where do I need to re-align myself with my vision for the future? What needs to be repaired or released? What is holding me back from expressing and sharing my inner genius?

I found a wonderful quote about vision: “A vision is not just a picture of what could be, it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more”. Sounds like this person might have Mercury in Aquarius :-) Feel free to watch my New Moon video -- will be posted by Sunday the latest ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 0-2 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus,Scorpio, or 28/29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions (most potent) would be any time between 8:15am EST Tuesday morning and 8:45pm EST Wednesday evening or 7:45am until 8:14am EST Thursday morning.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday at 10:54am EST, Mercury comes to a halt in 17 degrees of Aquarius (starting its 3-week retrograde phase), slowing things down tremendously today and tomorrow. Give yourself extra time to go to work this morning or to get things done. If you are traveling today, just simply go with the flow… you'll get there... eventually ;-) The same is true when it comes to all our technological devices…

This retrograde phase will last until Feb. 11th. People worry about Mercury retrogrades, but it’s important not to stop one's life during these times. As mentioned above, certain things may take longer -- but a retrograde gives us a chance to resolve things that have been keeping us from living our vision -- especially things that came up within the past three weeks. Take time to investigate your own thought processes: What feels progressive to you? What if you aligned yourself with that vision?

For the next three weeks, we get a chance to explore our inner genius -- to connect from within to what’s unique about us. It's also a chance to readdress group experiences, humanitarian causes or technology. This is an internal process -- a chance to honor and communicate our vision, working from the inside to the outside. If you knew you actually could make a difference, what difference would you make?

As always: with Mercury retrograde, always read the small print -- and re-read a contract before signing (if you have to sign something) -- or ask another person for a second opinion... Basically, during these periods, it's best to be aware of any details that we might have overlooked... and check in with our intuition... and stay open to the possibility of renegotiation or adjustments, down the line!

In general, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reevaluating and reorganizing. This is especially true for our thought patterns and decisions (particularly those made in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the retrograde) -- but it's true of our lives in general: we can reach a clearer understanding as to what works, and what doesn’t, and what needs to change. Reconnecting with old friends, family members and clients is also favored at this time, especially if more than 3 people are involved…

Mercury also represents our day-to-day mind; this too is experienced more internally at this time. When it comes to communication, make sure that what you say, write and hear is the same as the intended meaning -- and use the spell-checker ;-)

Another thing to take into consideration: how does each Mercury retrograde phase affect your personal birth chart. Do you have any personal planets that Mercury will align with during its retrograde journey? The houses of your chart each represent different areas of your life -- which of the houses in your chart is affected by this retrograde?

As with any retrograde, some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. That will be true if any of the following apply to you: Gemini or Virgo as your Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- or your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-18 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio.

Wednesday at 8:45pm ESTwe enter an 11-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 7:48am EST (Thursday morning). Use this intuitive time to reconnect with like-minded people and share your vision with them. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Thursday at 7:48am EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Saturday morning. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns. Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us.

As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Thursday around midday: We may need to adjust as we go. Check your energy levels; as best as you can, don’t rush things. Towards the evening, we feel creative, inspired -- and need to be engaged in selfless service.

Friday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Thursday morning for details).

Thursday night/Friday very early morningan opportune Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 12:23am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Sunday. This aspect provides an opportunity to stick to a specific task and make progress.

We have common sense at our disposal; we are willing to look reality in the eye and take responsibility for our lives. It is also an opportunity to focus on being grounded, authentic and stable. Again, remember: opportunities are openings, they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 1-5 degrees of Aquarius, Sagittarius, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Friday at 6:13am EST, we enter a 26.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 8:31am EST (Saturday morning). Whether through dreams, or wakefully, use this as an opportunity to intuitively connect to your higher Self. If you’ve been obsessing over long-term plans, try cultivating a sense of faith and flow. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time. If possible, plan your day ahead of time.

Saturday at 8:31am EST, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Monday late morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Did you set intentions on Tuesday or Wednesday (after the New Moon was exact)? If so, Saturday (and thereafter) would be a great time to start acting on them. If you wrote your intentions down, go back: Take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions call out to be done?

Sunday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Saturday morning for more details). This might be a very busy day; early on, we have lots of energy and seek improvement, when it comes to our personal goals.

Later in the day, we may feel pulled into two different directions; this will require flexibility and adaptability. On the one hand, we want to create something unique -- something aligned with who we are now -- on the other, we feel obligated to serve our long-term commitments. We might even get hyper-focused on building something long-term. As best as you can though, stretch yourself: Make space for both. Talking about your process might help.

Later in the day, we feel optimistic, even deeply joyful. Allow yourself to see the bigger picture. With so much energy available to us, we may overextend ourselves… As best as you can, check in with your body, don’t burn the candle at both ends ;-)

Also on SundayMercury ends its station and gets back to its normal pace through the sky -- but moving backward through the sky as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to). We have a chance to do some internal work on any thinking and/or communication issues that came up over the last week.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 11:37am EST (see Saturday morning for more details). At 9:23am EST, we will enter a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 11:37am EST. During this intuitive time, bring passion and charm to any connections with like-minded souls. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time.

At 11:37am ESTthe Moon will move into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Wednesday late afternoon. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-) This Moon placement also begins the build-up to the first Quarter Moonthis will be exact later in the evening…

At 11:48pm EST, the first Quarter Moon in Taurus will become exact (we started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Taurus earlier in the day).

This aspect provides a time to stretch, grow, and thereby create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy: As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible, and find creative solutions in your day-to-day dealings with others.

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Catch Your Breath -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Jan.12th - Sun., Jan. 18th, 2015.

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was a mixture of recovering from the week before, and relaxing, taking it easy -- surely connected to the Full Moon in Cancer that was exact on Jan.4th/5th (depending on what timezone you live in). Towards the end of the week, things started to speed up again and I felt very focused on business and future goals. The Virgo Moon (in connection with the Capricorn energy at the end of the week) helped clarify a lot of things…

This week's headline items: On Monday morning, Mars changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces; the last Quarter Moon in Libra becomes exact on Tuesday early morning; Friday late evening starts the Balsamic Moon phase; Mercury starts to slow down (station) on Saturday; and there will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday early morning (for 14 hours), Thursday evening (for 8 hours), and Saturday afternoon (for 16.5 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all dayIt will journey here until Tuesday evening. The energy of the Libra Moon wants to maintain equal relationships: we thus tend to spend more time on diplomacy -- making compromises, negotiating, practicing graciousness, balancing, etc.

We can better set aside our emotions, to achieve the peace we desire; the shadow side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides -- and may also fear loss of approval -- so we can't decide. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this... and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Tuesday morning)

Monday at 5:20am EST, Mars changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius to creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Feb. 19th. Our physical energy may slow down at this time. Creative and spiritual endeavors are highly favored for the next 5.5 weeks -- this especially goes for music. Our passions will be more of a romantic nature, imagination will play a big role when connecting physically with others.

Gentleness is key. The shadow side of this, is that our own aggression may be expressed less directly. Any form of assertiveness is likely to feel selfish or "wrong" on some level. Avoid victim-behavior by connecting to spirit. We feel a deep energetic and spiritual connection to others; charity work and altruism will be favored. Best to go with the flow for the next 5.5 weeks, paying attention to your energy levels.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces? If so, you will feel energized by this placement. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries? If so, you may feel the change of pace more strongly. Your physical energy may not be what it usually is. As best as you can, make the necessary adjustments.

Monday may require some adjustments on our part; as best as you can, stay open and flexible ;-)

Tuesday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 6:44pm EST (see Monday morning for details). At 4:46am EST, the last Quarter Moon becomes exactin 23 degrees of Libra. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Libra onSunday

The Moon in relationship-oriented, harmony-loving Libra makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn. This may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon (Jan. 20th).

With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us take a look at what was started around the time of the last New Moon -- in this case, around Dec. 21st. We now have about a week to wrap those projects up. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since Dec. 21st? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up, whether internally or with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you are more affected by this month's last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Right after the last Quarter Moon becomes exact (4:46am EST), we enter a 14-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 6:44pm EST. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. Make space both for collaborating with others, and taking care of business/long-term goals. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Tuesday afternoon, an opportune Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:12pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday early morning on; it will be strong until Thursday morning. This gives us the opportunity to experiment with how we relate to others -- to do something different or unusual -- freedom plays a big part in this aspect.

Of course, others are experimenting too, so you might experience some unusual or unexpected interactions during this time -- it's a favorable time for social meetings and events.. As best as you can, stay open and flexible: fresh air is blowing through your relationships.

We're also ready to experiment with our financial undertakings. Energetic matches with this aspect would be: all things "tech" (electronics, technology, internet); metaphysics; the arts; group activities. This is not the best time to make long-term financial investments, unless you had an intuitive flash ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-15 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, Uranus rules Aquarius).

Tuesday evening at 6:12pm EST, the Moon moves intopassionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time. As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to.

Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free. Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday early morning, an opportune Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 5:25am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on, it will be strong until Friday evening. This brings an opportunity for insight and novelty. We might experience some really unusual conversations. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to realize it.

This aspect also brings an opportunity to see things from a different perspective, or to put a new spin on our "old" thinking structure. We like to connect in unusual ways and any group activities or brainstorming with like-minded people could generate amazing insights -- this might be a busy day. As best as you can -- and as much as you want to -- stay open to other dimensions ;-)

Thursday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Thursday very early morning, a challenging Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 1:10am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This is a "stretch" aspect -- characterized by an inner conflict -- as well as a maturity process that requires adjustments and flexibility on our part.

On the one hand, we want to start spiritual/creative projects and go with the flow, feeling our way through life. On the other, we have a strong focus on exploring “the truth” about life -- on reaching an understanding of what beliefs are truthful and align with our own experiences. As best as you can, make space for both of these.

We also tend to be more cautious now. We may experience a temporary loss of enthusiasm -- or setbacks that make us doubt our ability to win in life. We are learning to live life in moderation; this might be frustrating at first. Pushing too hard (or too fast) doesn't always get us the results we want: It might be time to slow down a little and catch our breath. That way, we can come back later, with a stronger, more mature set of expectations and approaches.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or 29 degrees of Aquarius, Scorpio, Taurus or Leo? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars rules Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Thursday at 6:52pm EST, we enter an 8-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 3:01am EST (Friday early morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to do some research and bring awareness to what you are manifesting long-term. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time.

Friday at 3:01am EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Sunday morning. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.

Friday: The first half of the day requires that we slow down a little and make some adjustments. Our head and our “intuitive body” may fight each other a little today: As best as you can, stay flexible and make room for both (mental exploration and intuitive sensing).

Friday late evening, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Tuesday of next week, when the New Moon in Aquarius becomes exact (…more on that next week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Saturday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Friday very early morning for details).

Also on Saturday: Mercury starts to slow down (“stationing”). It’s getting ready to come to a halt next week Wednesday, Jan.21st (more on that next week). For the next 8 days (until Jan.25th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready or travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here: http://vsta.pr/102aFxh )

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 15-18 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, and Taurus.

Saturday at 2:25pm EST, we enter a 16.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 7:04am EST (Sunday morning). Use this intuitive time to have some fun with others and explore your inner child. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work well during this time.

Sunday at 7:04am EST, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Tuesday morning.

Sunday gives us an opportunity to connect our long-term goals with projects that are in alignment with our higher Selves. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us, we have to "take" it.

A preview of next Monday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Sunday morning for details). At 5:51am EST, we will enter a 26-hour Moon void of course (VoC) which ends at 7:57am EST (Tuesday morning). This is an intuitive time, use it to nurture what you are building long-term and what you feel most passionate about.

We have a strong focus on accomplishing things and getting down to business. As best as you can, refrain from getting too obsessed with anything... Take some breaks ;-) As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Sometimes Things Line Up — Astrology Forecast for Mon., Jan.5th - Sun., Jan. 11th, 2015.

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week did not really go as planned (witness the fact that, for only the second time ever, this blog is posting a day late). I felt very low physically and had to make some major adjustments during the holidays -- I think the Uranus station finally started to catch up to me. I was so energized the week before that I didn’t really sleep enough. I guess “expect the unexpected” turned out to be good advice for me too :-) At any rate, I’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year -- may it be filled with magic and joy ;-)

This week's headline items: Mercury enters its two-week shadow phase on Monday (prior to going retrograde). There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday all day and all night, Thursday very early afternoon (for 6 hours), and Saturday late morning (for a little over 20 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer and VoC all day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning.

This Moon placement also started the build-up towards the Full Moon, which was exact yesterday (Sunday late evening). Watch my Full Moon video, if you didn't get a chance to see it yet

Mercury enters a 2-week shadow phase today (Monday), as it reaches 1 degree of Aquarius. This precedes the retrograde phase, which will begin on Jan. 21st. If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items -- especially connected to transportation (cars, airline tickets, etc.) or communication devices (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) -- be aware of the shadow periods as well as the retrograde phases.

If possible, get these things done before Mercury enters it's shadow or wait until after the shadow phases are over (in this case: March 3rd). Of course, if there is something that must get done during these phases, don't put your whole life on hold, just because Mercury is retrograde or in it's shadow. Sometimes things line up exactly at the “right” time. As best as you can, trust your intuition ;-)

Monday afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 5:21pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday morning on; it will be strong until this Tuesday evening. This is an opportunity to take responsibility for our thinking structures and be really honest with ourselves.

How can we get the most from this opportunity? It’s simple: Look for the larger truth. If we can go beyond what we have always known, we could get a helpful dose of reality — and an ability to focus on long-term issues. Remember, though: Opportunities are “openings”; they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-3 degrees of Aquarius, Sagittarius, Aries, Libra, or29 degrees of Capricorn, Scorpio, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Tuesday at 6:03am EST, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Thursday early evening.

Tuesday starts with a focus on exploring our beliefs and questioning what we are committed to in life. Throughout the day we need to find a balance between what we want to create for ourselves and what the “bigger’ issues are in the world. How can we bring our own unique self-expression to a larger cause or share ourselves with like-minded people that dream the same dream we have about our future as humans.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday starts out enthusiastic and optimistic -- we feel strong and full of energy -- but by the late morning, we begin to feel uneasy. We need to develop inner awareness around our sensitivities and bring compassion to them. We are also being asked to bring some awareness to whatever we feel most passionate about; as before, we feel an internal unease.

Are we after laughter and joy? Or is it the intensity and authenticity of our emotions that captures our attention? As best as you can, make adjustments as needed, without judging yourself.

Towards the evening, we are asked to bring some awareness to what we feel most committed to; as before, this brings a sense of internal dissonance or unease: Fun or Business? Follow your bliss or build on long-term goals? Again, as best as you can: make adjustments as needed, without judging yourself.

Thursday: the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 5:58pm EST (see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday at 12:05pm EST, we enter a 6-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 5:58pm EST. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between your head and heart — and between intellectual stimulation/improving your future and doing things that bring you joy. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Thursday at 5:58pm EST, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Sunday morning. This turns our focus toward practical activities. Solving problems, making order out of confusion, helping others: all bring emotional satisfaction. Health might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.), align with our long-term goals.

Friday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Thursday early evening for details).

Friday after 5:20am EST, we are able to tackle anything that requires attention to detail and maybe even implement health routines that support our long-term goals.

Saturday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Thursday early evening for details).

Saturday at 10:46am EST, we enter a 20-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 6:57am EST (Sunday morning). Use this intuitive time to get organized, improve daily routines, and for becoming aware of how this all fits in with your long-term goals. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Sunday early morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:05am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

Our energy tends to be directed towards big things right now. Our sense of self may change as we learn that we are being overly enthusiastic. Due to our high optimism, we may take on more than we can physically handle -- if we feel drained or frustrated at this time, it might be helpful to look at our overall direction in life: Are we being realistic about what can be achieved?

It’s also worthwhile to look at how our own beliefs about life are being received by others: Can we involve them in our heart’s desire? As best as you can, slow down: "If a thing is worth having, it's worth waiting for."

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-22 degrees of Capricorn or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules of Leo; Jupiter rules Sagittarius)

Sunday at 6:57am EST, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Tuesday evening.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Sunday morning for details). At 5:20am EST,Mars changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces. Mars moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Feb.

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja
