Last week, I felt like the energizer bunny… Especially before Thursday, I could hardly sleep, I was so wound up. To ground myself, I played “mediation” music, got a Reiki healing, and even an acupuncture treatment. My mind was ultra-focused on all things Astrological — Eclipses season, my upcoming workshop and retreat... I was connecting to other Astrologers on the phone and at a conference…This was definitely all connected to last week’s Mars/Uranus and Jupiter/Uranus aspects.
This week's headline items: the seventh and final Uranus/Pluto square becomes exact on Monday evening and Venus changes signs from Aries to Taurus on Tuesday morning. Friday is a big day: the Solar Eclipse, the Spring Equinox and the end of Saturn’s station!
There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for 2 hours), Tuesday afternoon (for 16.5 hours), Friday early morning (for 1 hour) and Saturday evening (for almost 12 hours).
Monday: The day starts with a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC), from 4:02am until 6:14am EDT. If you’re awake at this time, you may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: A need for mature, diligent accomplisment and your love of rapid progress toward your goals. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments (and find creative solutions) when it comes to these desires. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow ;-)
Monday early morning, a challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect will become exact at 5:41am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Saturday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. This aspect asks us to stretch a little, to grow and mature. Watch out for misunderstandings or feelings of restriction, when it comes to interacting with others.
On the one hand, Mercury in Pisces wants us to communicate from the heart, with love and compassion, and to have faith in our connection to the Universe/Source. On the other hand, Saturn in Sagittarius reminds us that before we can think about what we want to create or bring forth, we need to look at the larger picture and get to the core of what we believe life is truly about.
As best as you can, find creative ways to connect to your heart and intuition, while remaining committed to the exploration of your true beliefs. What is life really about? What is your life about?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-8 degrees of Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Monday at 6:14am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.
And most importantly, also on Monday, late evening, the seventh and last Uranus/Pluto squareat 15 degrees of Aries and Capricorn becomes exact at 10:54pm EDT. Each of these squares has been an invitation for us all to make a giant step forward as individuals and collectively — we are ready for major changes in our own lives and on a global level. Reflect back to the previous six Uranus/Pluto squares: June 24th, 2012; Sept. 19th, 2012; May 20th, 2013; Nov. 1st, 2013, April 21st, 2014, and Dec. 15th, 2014.
These outer planets move more slowly through the sky and their influence is very powerful. We already started to feel the approach towards the first square way back in Spring of 2011, and even though this is the last exact square between these two powerful outer planets, we will be feeling their influence until mid May 2015 —and then starting back up again towards the end of the year, lasting until January 2016 (no exact aspect but within 3 degrees of each other).
As these two planets move through this sequence, the energy rises and falls like a slow-moving, powerful tide that reaches a high point as the square becomes exact, then slowly subsides. All seven of these squares are connected to our personal and collective evolution towards greater freedom and authenticity -- and also our ability to create something that serves ourselves and others over the long-term. This particular wave has been building since mid October; and we will feel it all the way through mid May 2015.
Each time Uranus and Pluto connect, the stakes get higher, especially if we haven't yet stepped up to the plate. It's about progressive change: each of us stepping up, stretching ourselves, making a difference, one by one. Are you still watching from the sidelines? Where could you play a bigger game?
We feel a deep inner need to create personal and global change. We see and sense shifts in the world at large. Authenticity and individual self-expression are paramount. The meaning of "Leadership" is changing: We all need to lead now, in our own lives and in the world, for the good of all. We are being ask to follow our passions and empower ourselves and others as much as possible. Again: Each one of us is being asked to stretch ourselves, to step up and play a bigger game. Where are you being called to step up?
If you are scared to let go of the "old you" or the "old way of life", you are going to feel the intensity of these squares triple-fold. We are being invited to stretch ourselves and create a more authentic and empowered society -- one that honors the unique, individual contribution of everyone -- one capable of owning its fears and less attractive characteristics. Flexibility, Courage, Self-Empowerment: these are the watchwords! Remember: what you do for you, you do for everyone… and what you do for everyone, you do for you!
During this time of change, self-care is once again worth our attention: We may have a lot of energy right now, but we could also burn the candle at both ends…make sure you get plenty of rest, affection, water and healthy nutritious foods ;-)
Those of us who have their Ascendent (or personal planets) in 10-18 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn will feel the impact of this aspect more than others. Also: Pluto and Uranus were aligned in Virgo during the 1960s. If you were born during the '60s, you are being called to take a more active part in creating these shifts and changes -- at both the personal and collective levels. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio or Aquarius (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).
Tuesday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Monday morning for details).
The Balsamic Moon phase starts Tuesdayearly morning; this lasts until Friday morning, when the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Pisces becomes exact (…more on that later this week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition.
For some of us, this might be a stretch, especially since we are in Eclipse season. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us.
What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
Also on Tuesday morning, at 6:15am EDT: Venus moves from fast-paced, enthusiastic, active Aries into steady, sensual Taurus, where she will journey until April 11th. For the next 3.5 weeks, we love receiving physical pleasures and comforts. Our relationships are centered around delicious foods, wine and sensuality.
"Simple and natural" is key. Our financial issues and dealings are being carefully and lovingly considered, we are not easily persuaded to take risks, we'd rather spend our money on a massage or a good meal.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel even more attracted to physical pleasures and comfort for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want loyalty and consistency. Connecting to nature or anything simple and organic is going to feels especially comforting.
Tuesday at 2:18pm EDT, we enter a 16.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC); this lasts until 6:58am EDT (Wednesday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to people that might support your projects and sentiments and bring a new perspective to what you do. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your afternoon ahead of time or stick to routine things. If nothing else… simply go with the flow.
Wednesday starts witha Mercury/Neptune alignment in 7 degrees of Pisces — exact at 4:49am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Friday. This alignment will take our connection to our intuition even deeper. Spiritual and creative endeavors are highly recommended during this time -- especially those involving music or creative writing. This is definitely a highly imaginative time. As best as you can, go with the flow and -- just for now -- let go of wanting to figure it all out.
The highest vibration of this aspect is idealistic, highly intuitive and romantic; on a lower level vibration, we might not see reality clearly and we might easily feel overwhelmed. We might get confused or disappointed; things might seem a little foggy, especially when it comes to communication, public transportation or daily traffic.
Check in with others before signing any documents or making long-term decisions this week: get reality checks! As best as you can, let go and let flow ;-) On the other hand, trust the divine timing of things and have faith that everything will turn out exactly as it needs to.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-10 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Wednesday at 6:15am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Friday early morning. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns. Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us.
As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-) This also begins the build up toward Friday's New Moon/Solar Eclipse, more on that on Friday…
Thursday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Wednesday morning for details).
Thursday is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: Eclipses are times of uncertainty, Uranian in nature... So anything could happen between now and April 18th.
As best as you can, stay grounded and don't jump the gun: If you feel compelled to do something, do your best to simply observe the urge (unless something happens organically). In particular, if you are ambivalent about an action, wait until Eclipse Season ends on April 18th to go for it.
Eclipses bring major endings and beginnings. As best you can, trust that whatever is leaving is making space for something better -- the more willing we are to change, the easier it will be. That said, projects and interactions that got underway prior to Eclipse season (i.e. before March 10th) are another matter -- don’t stop your life just because it is Eclipse season ;-)
As best as you can, get quiet today, go within or observe what comes up… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self. Use this day (and tomorrow) for meditation, walks in nature, creative or spiritual endeavors — anything that supports you in going within and tapping into your inner divinity.
Thursday night: Though still retrograde, Saturn resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. We now have time to go over recently built structures to see if they are aligned with our inner truth.
We are now ready to contemplate solutions for whatever was in our face from March 7th until now -- solutions that work well with our inner truth. For the next 5 months, we have the opportunity to restructure our realities, according to what works well and is the most mature.
Friday is a humungous day!
On Friday at 5:36am EDT, theMoon aligns with the Sun in 29 degrees of Pisces, marking the beginning of both a new Moon cycle and another Eclipse cycle. (Eclipses take place approximately every six months).
Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that bring a consciousness upgrade and a shift; in this case, that will unfold over the next year. Feel free to also watch my video on the subject ;-) Those of us who have Natal planets within 5 degrees of the Eclipse will experience more dramatic changes than others (more on that later…)
When it comes to Eclipses, the Sun and Moon are always connected to one of the Moon Nodes — in this particular case, it's the South Node. South Node Eclipses can help us release energies or attachments that no longer serve our Soul’s evolution.
Solar Eclipses always end one 19-year cycle and begin another. They reveal pathways to the next level.
This is the first Eclipse in Pisces since the mid-to-late ‘90s. There will be a series of them in the next couple of years -- the next one is on March 9th, 2016. The last time there was a Solar Eclipse in that same degree of Pisces was March 19th, 1996.
We are likely to experience a resonance between now and that period — not identical, but resonant — so think back to that time: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important? If there were a call this time to take those priorities to the next level… Where would that next level take you?
If you're looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest a look at your Natal Chart: The House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life you're most ready to take to a new level of consciousness. watch my 30-minute class on: "How to Read My Birth Chart"
This New Moon/Solar Eclipse forms in the wake of the last Uranus/Pluto square, which marks a pivotal point. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, it connects us to our spiritual journey, a reunion with Source/God/the Universe. Pisces at its highest vibration unifies all dualities. It is completely aware of the oneness between all things.
Everything is energy, everything is connected and everything is in a continuous flow/movement. Each of us is like a drop of water, appearing to be individual, yet also a part of the big ocean of life. We are the sum of all parts: physical, spiritual, emotional, mental… That which exists is part of the whole.
Neptune, Mercury and Chiron are also in Pisces at the time of the Eclipse, amplifying the message to shift from right- to left-brain, from the rational to the intuitive ;-)
Another facet of this New Moon being in the last degree of its sign: We are yet again at the threshold of a new energy, almost like being between two worlds. One hour after the Eclipse takes place, the Moon moves into Aries; 12 hours later, the Sun does the same, marking the first Equinox of the year.
This is a time for clarifying and affirming our highest path. We will experience a release as well as a recalibration: “Old” codes will get deleted and new programming downloaded.
As best as you can, allow yourself to be in a quiet, receptive state. Use the day before (and the day of) the Eclipse for meditation, walking in nature, for creative or spiritual endeavors — anything that supports you in going within and tapping into your inner divinity.
We are also invited to look at our disconnection from the spiritual: Where might the healthy balance with the energetic world be over the next year?
Between now and April 18th, allow for the new templates to download; stay centered and do your best to ground from within. Flexibility helps, as does moving to the “observer position” when it comes to our emotional and mental body. Remember also: This won't last forever -- in four weeks, the downloads are complete ;-)
In Sunday's entry, I’ll be talking about setting some powerful intentions for the next six months -- and I'll give you the very best times for doing so (with a Solar Eclipse, it's best to wait 48 hours before setting intentions).
For now though, here are some questions you can ask yourself: What am I stuck to that stops me from connecting to my inner divinity? What if I trusted the perfection of life? What if I let go of my attachment to just one outcome? Or one preferred piece of “timing"? ;-)
Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in one of the following placements: 25-29 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius or 0-4 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you may feel the effects of this extra-powerful New Moon more strongly for the next 6 months. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Right after the Eclipse becomes exact we enter a very brief Moon void of course (VoC), from 5:36am until 6:28am EDT. If you are already awake, use this intuitive time to go within and meditate or pray/give thanks/converse with your higher Self. If you are still sleeping at that time, see if you can remember your dreams and write them down.
Friday at 6:28am EDT,the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Sunday morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
Last but not least, also on Friday, at 6:45pm EDT, the second big item of the day: the Spring Equinox: the Sun changes signs from dreamy Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic Aries, where it will journeyuntil April 20th.
This signifies the beginning of Spring in the northern hemisphere of this planet, the energetic turning point from one season to the next. Equinoxes are super potent times for setting intentions. They are energetic gateways, where we experience the inter-relationship between light an dark, inner and outer, spirit and matter.
With the Sun entering Aries for the next four weeks, we tend to act first and think later. We are more aware of our personal goals and we feel a strong urge to move forward, get things done, move closer to our goals. We are quite aware of our own gut instincts and where we are heading. It's a great time both for leading others and for carving out our own path.
All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aries, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo you will feel energized and physically strong at this time.
Saturday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Friday morning for more details).
Saturday morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 7:39am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until Sunday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
It's hard to see what we are actually responsible for in relationships, so we sometimes take on unnecessary responsibilities, to ensure the relationships continue. We may ask ourselves: "Do people like me for myself, or for what I do for them?" If you're confused on this point (or any point): as best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative, adjusting as necessary.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-5 degrees of Taurus or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Also on Saturday morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 7:54am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until Sunday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
This aspect is a fork in the road: Do we commit fully to our long-term goals? Or to increasing our ability to come from the heart, follow our bliss, and take some risks? Awareness is key with this aspect: What demands to be done? What would a broader view show us -- and how could we serve what we then see?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 12-14 degrees of Pisces or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).
Saturday at 6:51pm EDT, we enter an almost 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC), this lasts until 6:40am EDT (Sunday morning). Use this intuitive time to do what you feel most passionate about -- and whatever will fast-track your projects. Take care of your body -- and if you find that you have any excess anergy, go exercise! As always during VoC, go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new. Routine tasks work very well during this time -- and if at all possible, plan your evening/night ahead of time…
Sunday at 6:40am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Tuesday morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.
Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)
Sunday morning, is also the best time to set our powerful New Moon Intentions. Like I already mentioned on Friday, with a Solar Eclipse it is best to wait 48 hours after the Eclipse has been exact before setting any intentions. As always, we also want to avoid any Moon void of course phases. So, this time around, the best time for setting intentions is today (Sunday March 22nd) from 6:40am EDT until Monday (March 23rd) at at 10:25am EDT.
Make them powerful: They cover the next five-and-a-half months. If possible, align them with the Pisces energy that I spoke about in my Solar Eclipse video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the Solar Eclipse ;-)
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), feel free to join my facebook Fanpage or follow me on twitter. I will be posting reminders on Sunday and Monday, to let you know when it is time to set your intentions ;-)
Sunday afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 4:27pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until Monday evening. This aspect is an opportunity to bring compassion and creativity to areas of our lives that need restructuring or rebuilding.
It's also an opportunity to soften our obsessive focus on manifesting something real. Remember: opportunities aren't on "automatic"... we have to realize them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or personal planets (the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) in 13-17 degrees of Pisces, Capricorn, Scorpio or Taurus? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Sunday morning for more details). If you didn’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, this is your last chance before the 23-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that runs from 10:25am EDT until 9:23am EDT, Tuesday.
We can use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to our feelings and bodies. We may want to slow down a little and allow ourselves either to be creative... or simply enjoy life. As with all Moon VoCs, do not start anything brand-new. If at all possible, plan your day ahead of time, stick to routine things, or go with the flow... 'cos the flow knows where to go ;-)
Have a fantastic week!
