Last week started out wobbly: Lots of feelings had to be released and my connectedness to Source felt questionable. Things shifted in a big way on Wednesday evening and I had a lot of energy after that. I have been learning a lot about myself these past couple of weeks… So much purging/healing/understanding… Self-discovery never stops: It’s a journey, not a destination ;-)
This week's headline items: Mercury enters its shadow phase on Monday; Venus changes signs from Gemini to Cancer on Thursday evening; and Mercury slows down on Sunday, starting its station. There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for 9.5 hours), Thursday afternoon (for 25 minutes), and Saturday afternoon (for almost 3 hours).
Monday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day. It will journey here until Tuesday morning. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time.
As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free.
Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.
Mercury enters a 2-week shadow phase today (Monday), as it reaches 4.5 degree of Gemini. This precedes the retrograde phase, which will begin on May 18th. If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items -- especially connected to transportation (cars, airline tickets, etc.) or communication devices (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) -- be aware of the shadow periods as well as the retrograde phases.
If possible, get these things done before Mercury enters it's shadow or wait until after the shadow phases are over (in this case: June 27th). Of course, if there is something that must get done during these phases, don't put your whole life on hold, just because Mercury is retrograde or in it's shadow. Sometimes things line up exactly at the “right” time. As best as you can, trust your intuition ;-)
Monday early morning, the Sun/Jupiter square — I talked about in my Full Moon video — becomes exact at 5:02am EDT. We started tofeel this aspect from last Thursday on, it will be strong until this Wednesday. This aspect says “stretch and grow!”. There is a feeling of enthusiasm and excitement in the air; it almost seems as if we could move mountains.
Awareness is key: Be alert for undue optimism, that could lead to overextending or -promising: As best as you can, stay connected to what's real — avoid exaggerations, especially when it comes to what you value most. This is a time when we can accomplish quite a bit -- if we don't let ourselves get too overwhelmed by all the desires that are flooding our consciousness.
As best as you can, take it one moment at a time, staying grounded in reality!
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will be more aware of this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Monday at 9:49pm EDT, we enter a 9.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which last until 7:13am EDT (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time to find a balance between your need for deep emotional connections, versus projects/personal goals you have that ensure your material safety — as best as you can, allow for both.
If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your evening/morning ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow.
Tuesday at 7:13am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Thursday afternoon. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.
We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.
On Tuesday (in the early afternoon), we need to get more serious about self-care, and slow down a little. We are being invited to focus on the bigger picture. In the evening, we need to find a balance between wanting to explore outside of our regular day-to-day exchanges with others, versus wanting to connect/communicate with people in familiar environments.
We have a 24-hour Special today (Tuesday) that starts at 5pm EDT. It’s going to be an irresistible offer, only available for the first 3 people who jump on it! Look out for my video about this Special Sale. It will be posted today via Facebook, twitter & my newsletter!
Wednesday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Tuesday morning for details).
Wednesday very early morning, a harmonious Sun/Pluto aspectbecomes exact at 3:11am EDT. We started tofeel this aspect from last Saturday on, it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect brings a sense of focus and empowerment to our long-term goals. We have the ability to look at everything in a very down-to-earth manner right now; through our understanding of "what is and what is not", we can make more powerful choices. We can also deepen our understanding of our own motivations and look closely at where we are heading.
This aspect also brings an intensity and a depth to our conscious awareness; therefore this is also a great time to transform our lives, stripping away anything -- even people -- that no longer connect with who we are. Ask yourself: How can I live more authentically? Is there anything holding me back? What could I release now that is no longer serving my evolution? Would I be willing to let that go — to honor myself?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun being the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Thursday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 2:16pm EDT (see Tuesday morning for details).
Thursday at 1:51pm EDT, we enter a brief Moon void of course (VoC) phase that lasts until 2:16pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to communicate what’s of value to you and for nurturing your adventurous spirit. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid planning anything brand-new. Take a break from “doing” and simply enjoy “being”, even if it’s just for 25 minutes ;-)
Thursday at 2:16pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Saturday evening. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.
We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-) This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Saturday late evening)…more on that tomorrow…
Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?
Thursday at 2:16pm EDT, Venus changes signs from versatile, chatty & curious Gemini to protective, home & family-oriented Cancer. It will journey here until June 5th; for the next 3.5 weeks, we value the following: family, loved ones, our home, emotional safety and real-estate dealings.
We prefer to be around safe, familiar people and places. We'd rather stay home than socialize; if we do go out, we much prefer dinner parties at someone's home to dining out. When it comes to love, be gentle with each other -- and make sure to talk about your feelings.
With regards to our finances, it's best to stick to what feels safest and most secure. It's a favorable time for real-estate and interior design, or anything that makes the home more comfortable and livable.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more shy for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to family and loved ones. If you are a Cancer Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life, for as long as Venus is in your sign ;-)
Friday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Thursday afternoon for details).
Friday starts out as an opportunity for being in the flow and trusting our progress. Towards the later afternoon, we have a strong focus on accomplishing things and getting down to business. As best as you can, refrain from getting too obsessed with anything... Take some breaks ;-)
Toward the end of the day (Friday), we’ll also need to adjust and innovate when working with others, which might not be as easy as it sounds, as our drive to move forward is very strong -- we don’t want to be slowed down by anything or anyone.
Today (Friday) is also your last chance to register for our "Life of the Soul" Retreat in Sedona on Memorial Day weekend. Click here to register.
Saturday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 7:22pm EDT (see Thursday afternoon for details).
Saturday around noon, a challenging Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:08pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will remain strong until June 4th (due to its retrograde phase). This aspect asks us to stretch ourselves and grow. We may experience a lack of clarity and objectivity. We all have assumptions and preconceived notions about others, the world and life; we are asked to stretch a little around these assumptions.
We might find it hard to follow directions and instructions at this time. Difficulties concentrating on hard, cold facts are likely; in fact, we may question facts altogether, or avoid getting pinned down on answers. As you can imagine, this is not the best time for signing any contracts. Perceptions can be confused, unrealistic, or too idealistic to carry weight in the real world; conversations may be vague.
As best as you can, during these 4 weeks, follow your heart -- and let yourself be guided by your artistic or spiritual side. If you can, put off hard decisions until early June… and be compassionate with yourself and others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-13 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Saturday at 4:35pm EDT, we enter an almost 3-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which lasts until 7:22pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to take practical steps forward on existing projects. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your afternoon/evening ahead of time. If you can't… simply go with the flow.
Saturday at 7:22pm EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Monday late evening. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.
Sunday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Saturday evening for details).
Mercury is preparing for its retrograde phase, which lasts from May 18th until June 11th; the first step is for its passage through the skytoslow and come to a halt -- the "station" phase. The slowing process begins today (Sunday), the complete halt will happen on May 18th, in 13 degrees of Gemini.
We will experience the effects of this station until May 23rd; during that week, anything connected to Mercury's energy will come into our awareness quite strongly. Mercury is connected to all forms of communication, sharing, teaching, learning, listening, speaking, selling, buying, transportation, shipping, and signing contracts.
During the station period we might experiences delays or misunderstandings. Things tend to feel "off" or stagnant, especially when dealing with any of the above-mentioned areas… As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now -- you may need to address those issues, during the Mercury retrograde phase. (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here: http://vsta.pr/102aFxh )
Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets in 11-15 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces.
Sunday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Saturn aspect, becomes exact at 3:01am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday night on; it will be strong until Sunday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
It's hard to see what we are actually responsible for in relationships, so we sometimes take on unnecessary responsibilities, to ensure the relationships continue. We may ask ourselves: "Do people like me for myself, or for what I do for them?" If you're confused on this point (or any point): as best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative, adjusting as necessary.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-4 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Saturday evening for details). At 6:36am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 20 degrees of Aquarius will becomes exact and we will enter an almost 16.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase.
In the afternoon,an opportune Sun/Chiron aspectwill be exact at 1:44pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday night on; it will be strong until Wednesday night of next week.
At 10:40pm EDT, Mars changes sign form Taurus to Gemini, and minutes later, the Moon enters Pisces at 10:53pm EDT… more about all that in next week’s forecast ;-)
Have a fantastic week!
