Usually, a Neptune station brings our focus to the spiritual — but last week, it also demanded that I take care of daily routines, look at facts and figures and the “real” — the T-square between Neptune and the Full Moon had a lot to do with this. Writing everything down and taking care of things one at a time helped me feel less overwhelmed and scattered. This past week definitely directed my awareness to the delicate balancing act needed on a daily basis to not spin out into the abyss... Trusting and going with the flow, yet looking at the details and making improvements as we go... Connecting with others and sharing what we have learned, yet being open to explore what lies beyond the known…
This week's headline items: the last Quarter Moon in Pisces becomes exact on Tuesday afternoon; Mercury comes to a halt on Thursday evening;Neptune comes to a halt on Friday early morning; Chiron begins its station that day as well; finally, Saturn moves back into Scorpio on Sunday evening for 3 more months.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday afternoon (for 17 hours), Thursday evening (for 14.5 hours), and Saturday evening (for almost 20 hours).
Monday at 4:12am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.
Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-) This also starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Tuesday late morning)
Monday early evening, an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:56pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on; it will be strong until this Wednesday. We might want to take advantage of the opportunities this aspect provides: it's an excellent time for making plans for the future, resolving conflicts with others, and boosting our self-confidence.
We may be feeling particularly vital and confident, and this inner optimism can bring its rewards. Humor can be a big part of this aspect as well. We are able to see the irony in our own thinking and other people's self-expression. This is an opportunity to bring our new perspectives on self-expression/creativity/fun to bear on our one-on-one relationships.
If you had a special “joy and playfulness” lens, what would your life look like, when you gazed through it?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Gemini, Leo, Libra or Aries? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Tuesday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday early morning for details).
Tuesday very early morning starts with an opportune Mars/Uranus aspect. This becomes exact at 3:30am EDT. We started to feel this from last Friday on; it will be strong until this Friday. We have the opportunity to create some forward movement in our lives, especially in connection to our daily communications with others. We may want to work on projects with like-minded people right now. Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store -- certainly unexpected ones ;-)
What is one of your unique goals? How could you go after what you want, while still keeping other people's benefit in mind? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us: We have to "realize" it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-21 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)
Tuesday at 2:08pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 18.5 degrees of Pisces becomes exact. The Moon in creative, sensitive Pisces makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in versatile, fast-thinking Gemini. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon (June 16th).
During the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to review anything started around the last New Moon. In this case, that would be May 18th: we now have about a week to wrap up any projects that we got into around that time. What needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since May 18th? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up between yourself and others -- and for any internal conflicts.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the flowing: 16-20 degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Right after the last Quarter Moon becomes exact, at 2:08pm EDT, we enter a 17-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that lasts until 7:14am EDT (Wednesday morning). We are pulled in two quite different directions: A desire for silence, emotional oneness, and creativity flowing through us — versus a desire for “busyness” generated by sharing and communicating.
Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. As always during VoC, take it easy -- just go with the flow, rather than starting anything brand-new.
Wednesday at 7:14am EDT, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Friday late morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
Wednesday morning, an opportune Mercury/Venus aspect becomes exact at 8:52am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect gives us the opportunity for more direct and caring connections to others.
Through enhanced communication, we have a chance to clear up any misunderstandings or discomfort from the past. Promises and clarifications may grow from this, particularly in love relationships. It is also an opportune time to make new social contacts. Remember: this is an "opportunity" -- those aren't necessarily handed to us, we have to "take" them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or any personal planets) in 2-7 degrees of Gemini, Leo, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, Libra or Taurus (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)
Wednesday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 5:30pm EDT. We started to feel this from Monday on; itwill be strong until Friday. We have the opportunity to become aware of an original or unique approach to life. Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store -- certainly unexpected ones ;-)
What is your uniqueness? How could you express that proudly and authentically? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us: We have to "realize" it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-22 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)
One last thing for Wednesday, as you go through the day, do your best to bear in mind that Mercury will come to a halt tomorrow evening (Thursday); this may bring some frustrations and stagnations for the next three days around things connected to the Mercury energy (travel, transportation, communication and its devices, mail, etc.)
Thursday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday morning for details).
As already mentioned on Wednesday, Mercury comes to a halt in 4.5 degrees of Gemini today (Thursday) at 6:33pm EDT, and slowly starts its direct motion, after its 3-week retrograde phase. As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now -- you may need to address those issues again, when Mercury moves through its shadow phase…more on that later.
We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective. What did you learn about your inner dialog over the past 3 weeks? How can you share your newly found inner vision in a healthy way with the world? What needs to be addressed, with regards to the future, collaborations and communications?
When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by June 18th), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.
Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 2-7 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces
As you may recall, I mentioned Mercury shadow phases in this update a few weeks back: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it's best to avoid the periods shortly before and after Mercury goes retrograde. This is especially true if the items are connected to transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) This particular shadow phase ends on June 27th. Click here to read my blog on the subject.
Thursday at 7:43pm EDT, we enter a 14.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 10:16am EDT (Friday morning). This is an intuitive time that presents an opportunity to multi-task and get lots done. Focus on what works best for you. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new (if at all possible, plan your evening ahead of time).
Also on Thursday evening, a challenging Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 8:35pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This aspects ask us to stretch (grow) in the following two areas: our anger/assertiveness and our desires. The main challenge with this aspect is to learn to accept our own desires and feelings of anger as valid.
That way, when we do express them, we do so naturally, rather than feeling ashamed of them.
Right now, it's important to recognize that we could (perhaps) communicate our frustrations without guilt and assert what we know with others. However, we need to be gentle and kind to ourselves: As best as you can, be compassionate and forgive yourself if you are not doing it perfectly.
We may experience situations that call on us to demonstrate our initiative and independence of spirit -- but we may not feel confident that we can rise to the challenge, or follow through if we did. As best as you can, take some action on this challenge; feel the excitement that comes with stepping out of the familiar. Ask yourself: If I were the hero of this movie, what would I do next?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-25 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inAries(Mars rules Aries).
Friday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 10:16am EDT and VoC (see Wednesday morning and Thursday evening for details).
Friday at 5:09am EDT, Neptune comes to halt at almost 10 degrees of Pisces, beginning its retrograde phase.
Until this 5-month retrograde ends on Nov.18th, we are invited to access Neptunian energy from within; as such, our intuition will be very strong during this time. We can also see how connected we are to our Higher Self/The Universe/Source and, even better, dissolve any barriers between “us” and our Soul's guidance.
How wide can you open to your Soul's desire for love and oneness? To intuition? Where does the flow of life want to take you?
Some of us will feel this aspect more strongly than others -- those with personal planets in 7-11 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius -- and those with Pisces as their Sun- or Rising-Sign. If any of these hold for you, this will be a particularly great time to reevaluate your connection to Source and the flow of life.
Friday at 10:16am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Sunday afternoon. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.
Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)
Friday afternoon, a challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:54pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Monday of next week. This asks us to stretch ourselves and expand from within. We might feel less confident about who we are, and have a hard time projecting a social "front". Our conditioned mind and wounded feelings may be out of harmony with each other.
As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or "less than". It is perfectly ok to have feelings and feel insecure once in a while; as best as you can, bring compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 18-25 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).
Last but not least, also on Friday,Chiron starts its station, slowing down as it gets ready for its 5-month retrograde phase. The retrograde begins on June 24th; we will feel effects of the station until July 5th.Chiron's energies are more exalted during this period.
Chiron is the wounded healer; in Pisces, our attention is guided towards our emotional and spiritual wounds. Chiron represents our inner insecurities, those self-conscious and wounded places. Chiron also represents the inner wound of abandonment and our need to "make it on our own".
We are invited to approach these wounds on a holistic level, to heal them such that others are healed thereby. This is accomplished very simply and naturally when we work with the true beauty and strength of this energy: Compassion. Having compassion for our own wounds heals them and allows healing compassion for the wounds we now see in others.
What emotional or spiritual sore spots could you acknowledge? What needs to heal? At a different level, this time might also see an increased emphasis on water as a global and environmental issue.
Those of us with personal planets and points (Asc. or MC) in 20-23 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces will feel this station more strongly.
Saturday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Friday late morning for details).
Saturday at 6:06pm EDT, we enter an almost 20-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 1:51pm EDT (Sunday afternoon). Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions to the seeming conflict between your needs around practical matters/finances, versus a need for fun and feeling self-expressed.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)
Sunday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 1:51pm EDT and VoC (see Friday late morning and Saturday evening for details).
Sunday late morning, a Sun/Mars alignment in 22 degrees of Gemini becomes exact at 11:56am EDT. We started feeling this connection from June 4th on; it will be strong until June 21st — next Sunday. This alignment brings a lot of energy to our projects/goals and our personal self-expression. We feel more confident and capable to accomplish anything brand-new; we are also more excited to tackling something challenging.
Being active and taking action comes quite easily and naturally with this combo. One thing to watch out for: we have the tendency now to be burning the candle on both ends; which could lead to exhaustion and physical burn-out. This is a great time to start new projects that are connected to our physical bodies, our creativity, children, or our passion; anything that requires leadership and sharing is a perfect match for this alignment as well.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 13-29 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this alignment more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars rules Aries).
Sunday at 1:51pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Tuesday evening. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.
Sunday at 8:36pm EDT, Saturn moves back into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpiountil Sept. 17th. The next three months brings a chance to let go of all that is toxic in our lives, heal old wounds and master our fears. What fears and unconscious patterns still have a grip on you? What drains, deadens and disempowers you? What would it feel like to have mastery over your fears? Who could you become if you let go of all that is toxic in your life?
We are also being asked to be emotionally authentic and connect to the power of the love within. We can transform the stale and toxic by bringing love and conscious awareness to it. Embracing and owning our projections, fears, and issues around power (control) is part of that too.
This is a journey into our unconscious -- and it may lead to great riches. With Saturn in play, it serves us well to clarify what healthy boundaries and bottom lines are -- and who our shadow-selves are. The more we identify with one thing, the more we tend to project its opposite onto others. Who (or what) do you idolize? Demonize? Where do the same patterns or struggles with authority figures show up over and over again?
In other words: What energies are you projecting onto others? What are you unwilling to embrace about yourself? Remember: We don't have to go to the other extreme; this is about finding the healthy expression of any energy.
Those of us with personal planets and points (Asc. or MC) in 27-29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo and Aquarius will feel Saturn moving through Scorpio for the next three months more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn (Saturn rules Capricorn).
A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Sunday afternoon for details).….more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
Have a fantastic week!
