What is True Right Now? — Astrology Forecast for Mon., Aug.3rd - Sun., Aug. 9th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was not so easy for me personally: The Saturn/Venus & Uranus station brought a sobering dimension to things. I had to slow down tremendously, even though there was a ton of things to take care of. Towards the weekend, things started to feel a little lighter, probably because Venus moved back into Leo… Hurray!

This week's headline items: the Venus station ends on Wednesday; the last Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Thursday evening;Mercury changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Friday afternoon; Mars changes signs from Cancer to Leo on Saturday evening... Andthere will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday afternoon (for 3 hours), Wednesday evening (for 2 hours), and Friday night/Saturday very early morning (for almost 1 hour).

Monday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 7:24pm EDT. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

On Monday morning, a long-lasting, challenging Jupiter/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 6:36am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from July 18th on; it will be strong until Aug. 18th. Jupiter represents philosophy, expansion, faith, personal growth; Saturn symbolizes responsibility, discipline, and pragmatism. Some re-structuring of our lives and business goals might be in order. We may be looking for new challenges -- sometimes because we are forced to look, as things are not going exactly to plan.

We have a desire to grow and expand, but this attitude is tempered with caution and a sense of restriction. It is best to breathe new life into old plans, rather than striking out with an altogether new one. Take steps to grow, but don't overextend, or you’re bound to grow frustrated. We're also encouraged to do things by the book -- but may not want to -- this is not the time to take shortcuts (they won't work...)

This aspect also reveals where our beliefs may be out of sync with reality. What was true before may not be now -- may never have never been true in the first place. What was impossible before may be doable now. As best as you can, take a look at what’s holding you back: Are there “old” fears or beliefs that are no longer keeping you on your intended course? Imagine for a moment that you wake up tomorrow morning and all fear has mysteriously vanished... What would be possible?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or 0-1 degrees of Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect; this is also true for those of us with the Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Capricorn (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Monday at 4:35pm EDT, we enter a 3-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 7:24pm EDT. This is an intuitive time that presents an opportunity to multi-task and get lots done. Focus on what works best for you. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new (if at all possible, plan your evening ahead of time).

Monday at 7:24pm EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Tuesday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Monday evening for more details).

Tuesday late afternoon, a Venus/Jupiter alignment in 28.5 degrees of Leo becomes exact at 5:47pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week Wednesday on, it will be strong until this Saturday. This connection brings a certain optimism to our social and personal relationships at this time, with the ability to come from the heart.

Humor and romance are currently playing a big role in our interactions with others -- the same goes for tolerance, generosity and playfulness. Venus turned retrograde on July 25, initiating an important review of our "bottom lines" for love and life; this is meant to remind us of the importance of creativity, love, and joy in our life.

Finances: We may want to look again at investments we already had an eye on in the past. Best investment areas: Stock market, entertainment industry, anything to do with children, fun, games.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Venus's movements and aspects)

Wednesday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 9:29pm EDT (see Monday evening for more details).

Wednesday late morning, a long-lasting, challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 11:08am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from July 7th on — because of Venus’s station & retrograde phase, and we will feel it until next week Monday (Aug. 10th). Thisasks us to stretch ourselves and grow beyond who we know ourselves to be in our relationships. We need to face our fears and step up our game.

Responsibilities and commitments to intimate partners could be questioned. As best as you can, find creative ways to be admired by others, without violating any commitments that you made. This is not the best time to start a brand-new, romantic relationship.

In regards to our finances, this aspect brings an eye-opening experience -- as long as we can find brave ways to deal with our money issues, we will grow from this experience. The key: approach things with your heart and maturity.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Scorpio, Taurus or Aquarius, or 0-1 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Wednesday at 7:29pm EDT, we enter a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 9:29pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to have some fun and explore something new. As always during a VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Wednesday at 9:29pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Saturday very early morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

Last but not least, also on Wednesday: Venus ends its station and gets back to its normal pace through the sky -- but moving backward through the sky as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to). For the next 4.5 weeks, we have a chance to do some internal work on creativity, love, and joy. Ask yourself: What does you inner child long for?

Thursday is a is day! The Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday evening for more details).

Thursday early morning, a harmonious Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 4:29am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This aspect brings more self-discipline, maturity, focus, purpose and self-motivation. We tend to be more practical than usual; our progress in most projects may be slow, but it will always be steady.

As you can imagine, this can be a very productive period. We are able to take responsibility for our feelings and what we feel passionate about; we can bring that passion to the world, sharing it with heart. This is an especially favorable aspect for anyone working in real-estate or at home. It's also favorable for moms, caretakers/nurturers, and those whose work revolves around the home or family in some way.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of  Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces or0-1 degrees of Aries, Sagittarius or Leo? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Thursday late morning, a Mercury/Venus alignment in 28 degrees of Leo becomes exact at 10:25am EDT. We started to feel this alignment from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Friday. This is an excellent time to start sharing about romance, children (or anything creative) and any teaching endeavors in those fields.

This alignment indicates an ability to communicate from the heart -- and in fact, connecting to people we have an affinity with, is essential. We want to feel able to connect in harmonious, peaceful manner and communicate on an equal footing. We tend to have a strong sense of fairness at this time, and want to be in touch with people who meet us half-way.

In general, we are very agreeable and enjoy socializing; we also thoroughly enjoy the written and spoken word -- literature, wordplay, puns, moving conversations -- especially if connected to having fun and entertainment.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio or 0-1 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini or Taurus  (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)

Thursday afternoon, a challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 4:19pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Saturday. This aspect asks us to stretch a little, to grow and mature. Watch out for misunderstandings or feelings of restriction, when it comes to interacting with others.

On the one hand, Mercury in Leo wants to communicate from the heart, with full self-expression (and have some fun doing it). On the other, Saturn in Scorpio reminds us that before we can think about what we want to create or bring forth, we need to first dig deeper into our own inner experience and get to the bottom of what we feel truly connected to.

As best as you can, find creative ways to let your inner light shine more brightly -- to be admired and have some fun -- while remaining committed to deep, passionate exploration of your personal inner truth.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, or 0-1 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Thursday at 10:03pm EDT, the last Quarter Moonin 14 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Taurus on Wednesday evening. The Moon in Taurus makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in Leo. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or transformation. This Moon phase brings us closer to Aug. 14th’s New Moon.

During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be July 15th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-16 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Friday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday evening for more details).

Friday very early morning, a Mercury/Jupiter alignment in 29 degrees of Leo becomes exact at 3:08am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on, it will be strong until Saturday night. This alignment brings optimism and a tendency to talk and think quite a bit. This connection also favors love-poems, romance novels, creative writing, children’s education, submitting applications and forms, and test taking.

We more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and are more open to learning how to incorporate more love and joy in our lives. This alignment also gives us a sense of mental expansion. We are getting a chance to see our world as a place of constant adventure and personal growth. We are optimistic, which can help us attract positive circumstances.

This is a good time to submit ideas, applications, and so forth: It's all about grand-scale thinking and long-range planning. How can we expand our ideas about ourselves, so we can be consistent in our lives and manifest what we want?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 0-2 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Friday at 3:15pm EDT, Mercury change signs fromprideful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Aug. 27th. Mercury in Virgo sharpens our thinking: We see clearly and are more inclined to direct our energy towards day-to-day, practical matters. This will be even truer after Friday of next week (given the Mercury/Neptune opposition that will be exact next week Wednesday).

After next week Friday, creating order in our daily lives, knowing what's coming next, organizing, planning on a short-term scale, doing errands: All this will come easier. This stands in contrast to our ability to go with the flow, be present, have faith that things will turn out well, no matter what: not so easy :-)

We may feel that we do things better than others right now and thereby deny them a chance to improve their skills or show us a different method. As best as you can, be of service to others -- and remember that perfection is lovely when we treat it as a journey and a tyrant when we set it as a goal. What if you aimed at continuous, never-ending improvement, rather than at a frozen "perfect"?

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel the need for organization and improvements more strongly in the next 3 weeks.

On Friday night/Saturday very early morning at 12:46am EDT, we enter an almost 1-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase (it lasts until 1:40am EDT). If you are awake at this time, take a break and do something nurturing for yourself, or someone you love. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Saturday at 1:40am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Monday morning. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.

Saturday evening at 7:32pm EDT, Mars changes signs from protective, emotional, safety-oriented Cancer to fun-loving, risk-taking Leo, where it will journey until Sept. 24th. For these next six and a half weeks we will feel a strong need to create in some way. This is a particularly vital position for Mars. Passions tends to run high, as does desire; we tend to be more strong willed and enthusiastic at this time.

We enjoy taking risks for these next 6.5 weeks. Our ego is tied up with our actions; anything we do becomes a source of great pride -- and a temptation to "prideful" positioning. If we are able to use this time to move forward on our personal goals -- especially if they are in alignment with our heart -- we could become inspirational leaders.

If you have an Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to feel more fun-loving and competitive; it likely will be a more active time in your life. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 6.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project with your children (or your inner child) might be advisable.

Sunday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Saturday early morning for details).

Sunday morning starts out with an opportunity to connect and have some fun. Towards the afternoon, we get a chance to go after our goals, and communicate them clearly to others. Remember: opportunities are openings, they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini until 8:08am EDT (see Saturday early morning for details). At 7:45am EDT, we enter a 20 minute Moon void of course (VoC) and at 8:08am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday late afternoon…more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja
