Last week was wonderful: Lots of things started to move forward when Mars passed through the degree of Sept. 13th's Solar Eclipse. I could also feel the Sun/Neptune trine -- I was compassionate with myself and more fully in the flow of life, taking it one day at a time.
This week's headline items: Mercury changes signs from Libra to Scorpio (very early on Monday); the last Quarter Moon in Leo becomes exact on Tuesday morning; Neptune starts to slow down (station) on Friday; the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Saturday evening and Venus changes signs from Virgo to Libra, Sunday late morning.
There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (until 10:48am EST), Tuesday evening (for 24.5 hours), Saturday morning (for 2.5 hours), and Sunday late evening (for almost 25.5 hours).
Monday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer and VoC until 10:48am EST. It will journey there until Monday late morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others.
Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary. Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.
Monday at 2:06am EST, Mercury moves from idealistic, relationship-oriented Libra into passionate, intense Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 20th During those two and a half weeks, we have the ability to focus on what's most important to us on a deep emotional level.
We can get to the very heart of any matter at this time, especially when it comes to conversations we have. We are certainly more passionate about giving real advice or supporting others. We are not satisfied with any superficial connections right now, it's all or nothing.
For that reason, our mental processes could get a little obsessive. We may also be more suspicious, expecting bad intentions from others. It's a time that favors reading or writing about intrigue, mystery, and hidden motives. Mercury in Scorpio loves anything that challenges the brain and therefore we are often interested in what makes people tick during this time.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for investigating deeper emotional issues or motives. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Scorpio? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty and mentally alert for the next 2.5 weeks
Monday at 10:48am EST, the Moon moves into fun-loving, attention-seeking Leo, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. We have a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible, they will be deeply appreciated :-)
Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you squeak just thinking about it?
Monday evening, a Venus/Mars alignment in 24 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 9:10pm EST. We started feeling this alignment from last Monday(Oct. 26th) on; and it will stay strong until this Sunday(Nov.8th). This is a very passionate combination: action and receptivity, assertiveness and allowing.
There are feminine energies (receiving/allowing/enjoying) and masculine energies (active/doing/asserting) within and around us. This Venus/Mars connection brings a new beginning between these energies: a marriage of courage and collaboration -- a new beginning of a courageous feminine energy being protected and reinforced by the masculine.
Given that this combo is taking place in Virgo, we prefer to take a realistic approach to things, aiming all our passion and love toward excellence, enjoyment of the details and being of Service.
This transit also generates a passionate, warm, expressive, lively, and sexy energy. We are now able to take the initiative to achieve harmony and sexual fulfillment. Our creativity and desire to make something beautiful is stimulated now. We are more able to combine warmth with energy. We may also feel compelled to do something creative or artistic.
In general, we now have a chance to express our needs, passions, and desires in effective ways. Venus is diplomatic, gentle, romantic, and sensitive, while Mars is more forceful, sexual, and assertive. Venus can act to soften Mars' aggressiveness, or Mars can make Venus' romantic impulses more forceful and pressing.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries)
Tuesday: the Moon remains in fun-loving, attention-seeking Leo all day (see Monday late morning for details).
Tuesday at 7:24am EST, the last Quarter Moon in almost 11 degrees of Leo becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Leo, from Monday late morning on. The Moon in fun and attention-loving Leo makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in private, all-or-nothing Scorpio. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change. This Moon phase brings us closer to Nov. 11th’s New Moon in Scorpio.
During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be Oct. 12th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-13 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Tuesday afternoon, a long-term Jupiter/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 4:56pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Oct. 24th on; it will be strong until Nov.15th. We may be pulled in two different directions: On the one hand, we have a positive outlook and a desire to be of service in a larger way; on the other, we are called to embrace our insecurities concerning our intuition and faith in the flow of life. This aspect is about finding a balance between these two pulls.
We could also feel hungry for meaning and understanding, but have trouble fully aligning our inner core with a personal philosophy or belief system -- and a crisis of faith may result. We may become aware of this challenge to our core beliefs through a relationship or someone else's perspective.
We may also feel alone in our opinions, visions, or plans for the future -- as if no-one gets it -- and past choices may no longer seem wise. It is important to look within, and come to a greater understanding of what we truly need or believe, rather than blindly following something that actually doesn't serve us.
As best as you can, be kind to yourself with this process; remember that true healing comes from understanding, embracing and even loving who we are deep down: A spirit who lives in human form. What would happen if you embraced your own humanity an extra 5%?
Tuesday at 8:46pm EST, we enter a 24.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 9:22pm EST (Wednesday evening). Use this intuitive time to socialize with friends or like-minded people and express your unique spark. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and all of Wednesday ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday: the Moon remains in fun-loving, attention-seeking Leo and VoC until 9:22pm EST (see Monday late morning and Tuesday evening for details). As always with a Moon VoC, take it easy; as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan this period ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday at 9:22pm EST, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Saturday late morning. This turns our focus toward practical activities. Solving problems, making order out of confusion, helping others: all bring emotional satisfaction.
Health might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.), align with our long-term goals.
Thursday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Wednesday evening for details).
Thursday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Jupiter/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 5:01pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on; it will be strong until Tuesday of next week. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward -- and we need to make a choice… It therefore serves us to develop an inner awareness.
It might be difficult to find common ground with others right now. We will very likely experience serious restlessness -- we need to make changes, but may not know what or when to change. If we don't get in touch with these urges, they will break out as bursts of rebelliousness.
We may want to avoid making dramatic changes until we're clearer about what we want. By remaining flexible and making inner adjustments, we can bring clarity (rather than judgment) to both of those energies, and thereby explore them without getting impulsive or anxious.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-19 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius)
Thursday late evening, an opportune Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:01pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Saturday. This is an opportunity to bring a deeper, more authentic, emotional connection to whatever needs restructuring or rebuilding.
It’s also an opportunity to notice how obsessed we’ve become about manifesting something real -- and to let go of fears connected to our long-term goals. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to make something of it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-16 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)
Friday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Wednesday evening for details).
Friday morning, a harmonious Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:39am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Sunday. This aspect supports imaginative thinking and the ability to connect our day-to-day mind with our intuition.
We can easily sense the thoughts and feelings of others, and we are adaptable in our communications, as we pay attention to how our words are received. We have the ability to express ourself with sensitivity at this time. We have an appreciation for photography, the arts, poetry, fiction and spirituality now. We are also more open to metaphysical or spiritual concepts.
Do you have any of your personal planets or Ascendent in 4-10 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Also on Friday: Neptune starts to slow down (and will appear to move more slowly through the sky until Nov. 29th). It is getting ready to go direct again on Nov.18th, when the 5-month retrograde phase that started on June 12th comes to an end. A planet's energies are more exalted during it's "station period"; this has even more weight for an outer planet, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign.
Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.
This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.
Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 5-9 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.
Saturday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 10:14am EST (see Wednesday evening for details).
Saturday at 7:47am EST, we enter a 2.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:14am EST. Use this intuitive time to socialize and be of service to others. As always with a Moon VoC, take it easy; as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Saturday at 10:14am EST, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Monday late evening. The energy of the Libra Moon wants to maintain equal relationships: we thus tend to spend more time on diplomacy -- making compromises, negotiating, practicing graciousness, balancing, etc.
We can better set aside our emotions, to achieve the peace we desire; the shadow side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides -- and may also fear loss of approval -- so we can't decide. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this... and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm.
Saturday evening, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Wednesday early afternoon of next week, when the New Moon in Scorpio becomes exact (…more on that next week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.
Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
Sunday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Saturday late morning for details).
Sunday at 10:31am EST, Venus changes signs from detail-oriented, practical Virgo to harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Dec. 4th. With this placement, we prefer to show kindness, evenhandedness, and a willingness to make our relationships work.
We love to communicate about our relationships at this time and we prefer entering into equal partnerships. During this time, we can develop an idealized view of what a relationship "should" look like. We do our best to treat others fairly for the next three and a half weeks, seeking the middle ground. We are more likely to appreciate the arts, dance, beauty, entertainment and romance.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you will feel more connected to your inner harmony for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to others in an equal setting. If you are a Libra Sun- or Rising-sign you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.
Sunday at 9:42pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts almost 25.5-hours, until 11:02pm EST (Monday evening). Use this intuitive time to find a balance between harmony and balance, versus breaking free and being completely yourself. As always with a Moon VoC, take it easy; as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday ahead of time ;-)
A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 11:02pm EST. As always with a Moon VoC, take it easy; as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow (or plan out the whole day ahead of time ;-)
The Neptune station intensifies (see Friday for details); a harmonious Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:12pm EST; a somewhat challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:16pm EST; and at 11:02pm EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Thursday late morning... More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
Have a fantastic week!
