Last week was busy, but at the same time I felt able, conscious and optimistic. I am certainly feeling that Jupiter/Chiron opposition right now -- it's an optimistic, yet self-compassionate energy, with healing still very important. The Saturn/Neptune square is approaching, and even though it's not exact yet, I can already feel it: a need for accomplishment, while needing to trust the divine timing. There is definitely also a restlessness in the air. Conscious breathing and grounding seems to help.
This week's headline items: the Neptune station intensifies on Monday; the New Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Wednesday early afternoon; the Moon Nodes change signs from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo on Wednesday evening; and Mars changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Thursday afternoon.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases: all day Monday (until 11:02pm EST), Thursday late morning (for 20 minutes), and Friday late evening (21 hours).
Monday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 11:02pm EST. As always with a Moon VoC, take it easy; as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow (or plan out the whole day ahead of time ;-)
The Neptune station intensifies today (Monday); Neptune will appear to move more slowly through the sky until Nov. 29th. It is getting ready to go direct again on Nov.18th, when the 5-month retrograde phase that started on June 12th comes to an end. A planet's energies are more exalted during it's "station period"; this has even more weight for an outer planet, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign.
Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.
This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.
Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 5-9 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.
Monday afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:12pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday on; it will be strong until this Thursday. It creates a supportive environment for healing our insecurities. We can bring greater awareness to feelings of shame and self-deprecating thoughts. We have the chance to shine, largely because we are projecting ourselves with self-respect and modesty, at the same time.
We have a sense of purpose or "mission”; this brings confidence. The desire to learn and grow through experiences (and through others) is strong. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths. Where is this true for you?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (as the Sun rules Leo)
Monday late evening, a somewhat challenging Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 10:16pm EST. We started feeling this aspect build from last Sunday on; and it will be strong until this Tuesday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
Surprises could make us feel out of control or off our path. Disrupted plans or schedules, unexpected events, changes of plan: All are very possible right now. How flexible could you be? What could you shift internally, so you can stay open and aligned with your unique, divine Self?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 19-21 degrees of Scorpio or Aries? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)
Monday at 11:02pm EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Thursday late morning. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black-or-white experience -- and perhaps also an intimate and passionate one. As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings.
Decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself... and you shall be set free. Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within, whereas Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.
Tuesday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Mondaylate evening for details).
Tuesday morning, an opportune Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 7:14am EST; We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday night on; it will be strong until this Wednesday night. This aspect is an opportunity to bring depth of feeling and authenticity to areas of our lives that need restructuring or rebuilding.
It's also an opportunity to deepen our passions when it comes to manifesting something real. Remember: opportunities aren't on automatic, we have to realize them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or personal planets (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) in 11-16 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Tuesday evening, an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 9:17pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last week Sunday on; it will be strong until this Thursday. We might want to take advantage of the opportunities this aspect provides: it's an excellent time for making plans for the future, resolving conflicts with others, and boosting our self-confidence.
We may be feeling particularly vital and confident, and this inner optimism can bring its rewards. Humor can be a big part of this aspect as well. We are able to see the irony in our own thinking and other people's Self-expression. As with the New Moon, this is an opportunity to bring our new perspectives on self-nurturing to bear on our daily routines. What do your daily routines look like, viewed through a lens of self-nurturing?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-20 degrees of Scorpio, Virgo, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Wednesday at 12:47pm EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 19 degrees of Scorpio, beginning a new Moon cycle. This New Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio brings our focus to our intimate relationships and deepest desires. If you'd like to learn more about this aspect, check out my video on the subject :-)
The spiritual task of Scorpio is to learn to let go of whatever is dead or toxic in our lives -- and to realize that letting go is not about loss but about transformation, since every ending is also a new beginning.
With the Sun, Moon and Mercury in Scorpio, we are powerfully reminded that our thinking must transform: We are invited to face our fears, embrace our shadow, and reclaim our inner power.
The "Shadow" is all the suppressed, denied or undeveloped qualities of self. When not properly integrated, we are disempowered, made vulnerable to manipulation or domination. Also, what we reject in ourselves, we project onto others. That which we disown, owns us. Whatever we resist, persists. What qualities have you disowned, suppressed, rejected about yourself? What if you accepted that all of it was part of you?
This New Moon presents an opportunity to release old patterns -- particularly patterns of thought -- shifting our attention from the head to the heart. Our mind has the ability to move between three levels of consciousness: higher consciousness (ideas/insights/intuition), consciousness (choices made in the here and now, in full awareness) and unconsciousness (conditioned or auto-pilot thinking).
We are getting a message: In each moment we have a choice between ways of interacting. We can either take a conscious, aware approach to others from a place of love and empowerment, or allow auto-pilot to take over and have our conditioning lead the way. Remember: Conditioning always deals with what was, not what is!
Scorpio is all about transformation; it invites us to create a deeper, more passionate connection with ourselves -- and if we embrace all of who we are, we become more authentic and empowered.
All this happens through taking a conscious approach to our intimate relationships and authentic connection. Trust plays a central role in healthy, intimate relationships. Trust is something that develops over time -- and for those of us who experienced trauma in the past, it takes longer (this applies to developing trust with ourselves, as much as with others). For more details, check out my last Full Moon video again...
In the past, Mars was considered to be the ruler of Scorpio, but with its discovery in the 1930's, Pluto took over this role (and is thus known as the "modern" ruler of Scorpio). Pluto is now journeying through Capricorn, where it sextiles Mercury in Scorpio.
This is a very favorable combination for long-term goals and feeling empowered -- we can transform what no longer serves, and build healthy foundations for those long-term goals.
Pluto is also in a wide square to Uranus in Aries, and a trine to Jupiter in Virgo, at the time of this New Moon. This is inviting us to move forward: we are ready for a shift in our lives, ready to make changes that support our evolutionary process. Flexibility is key, as is becoming the observer of our emotional and mental body.
Mars (the traditional ruler of Scorpio) is moving through the last degree of Virgo and aligning with the North Node and Venus in Libra. This is another evolutionary message; this time it's concerned with finding a healthy balance between the masculine and feminine energies -- allowing the masculine to server the process of transformation, allowing courage to guide us.
What roles have you played (or embodied) in regards to feminine and masculine energies? How can you let go of anything that no longer serves that balance?
To sum it all up: Let yourself integrate all of who you are -- even those parts that are connected to past trauma and pain. As best as you can, allow those parts to feel safe and loved. There is nothing to defend or protect. You are powerful in your own right. Be courageous and kind to yourself!
Here are some questions you can ask yourself: What if I let compassion and courage think and speak on my behalf? What if my thoughts and words were really instruments of revelation and empowerment?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-21 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus,Leo or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeo or Cancer(the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between12:47pm Wednesday early afternoon, and 9:54am Thursday morning (EST); and then again from 10:14am (Thursday late morning) until 12:45pm EST Friday early afternoon.
Wednesday at 8:02pm EST, the Moon Nodes switch signs from the from Aries/Libra to the Pisces/Virgo polarity. They will journey through the Pisces/Virgo polarity until May 8th, 2017. The Moon Nodes are connected to our Soul's Journey. Let's look at them in order, starting with the South Node:
The South Node represents what we want to release and redefine -- and where we want to create a sense of flow and awareness, rather than obsession. We usually have expectations in the area of our South Node. It is a place of familiarity and ease, but it comes with blind spots, and to avoid becoming drained (or even exhausted) by its lower vibrations, we must bring conscious awareness to it.
With South Node in Pisces, we are being asked to release our “victim” mentality, along with any delusions, unquestioning beliefs and preoccupations with escaping reality (drugs, alcohol, work, TV, etc.) We are also invited to redefine our relationship to intuition and the creative flow of life.
The North Node, on the other hand, represents where we are invited to focus our energies, what we want to pay attention to and what we want to work towards embracing more fully. Embracing the North Node supports our Soul's Journey -- both on a personal and collective level.
As we move towards the North Node in Virgo, we are alleviating chaos -- and chaos, of course, can create worries and anxieties. As the chaos quietens down, we can feel the positive effects of the Pisces energy: compassion, understanding, trusting the flow of life, allowing for a creative flow of energy and intuitive knowingness to come through.
We also wish to embrace being of Service and having a healthy relationship to our work and our daily routines -- we are invited to deal with the practicalities of everyday life. This often takes the form of healthy and practical routines and schedules, along with paying attention to life-enriching deadlines, details, and rules. These things can all help us achieve our dreams.
The final goal of the Moon Nodes is to create a healthy balance between both polarities, in this case, a balance between the head and the heart (reason vs. intuition) -- you could also think of this as improving/perfecting (Virgo) and allowing/being/forgiving (Pisces). Click here to watch my video on the subject (will be posted by Tuesday evening).
If you have your natal Moon Nodes in Virgo and Pisces, you will either have a Nodal Return or a Nodal Reversal. A Nodal Return connects you more fully to your Soul's Journey, bringing people into your life that will guide you towards the next step in your evolution. With a Nodal Reversal, you will experience ease when finding that balance between both polarities.
In general, the transiting Moon Nodes will affect you more fully if you have any personal planets or points (Ascendant/Career Point) in Pisces or Virgo. If you're not sure, or have other questions, I recommend you book a Mini Reading -- that way, I can support you with all the challenges and gifts of this transit ;-) Go to www.AstrologerCoach.com and click on Services.
Thursday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 10:14am EST (see Monday late evening for details).
Thursday at 9:54am EST, we enter a 20-minute Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:14am EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to take actions that support our deepest desires/passions. Allow courage to guide you. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Thursday at 10:14am EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Saturday evening. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.
We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- meaning the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.
Thursday late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 11:47am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will be strong until Saturday morning. This aspect is a wonderful possibility for deep emotional healing in regards to our conditioning and day to day thinking structures.
We can bring compassion, for ourselves and others, to emotionally "difficult" communications. We are able to allow more for the flow of feelings as we share ourselves; forgiveness and understanding towards ourselves and others comes more easily now in general.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Thursday afternoon, at 4:41pm EST, Mars changes signs from detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo to relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking, justice and equality-oriented Libra. Mars will journey through Libra until Jan. 3rd, 2016. When Mars is in Libra, we are more inclined to put our energy into projects that involve equal partnerships, cooperation and justice.
We are also looking to achieve physical balance. Passions may run high during this time; sexual tension and competitiveness with others is also possible. It can be a stimulating, creative, passionate and invigorating time.
That said, we might seek more independence in our relationships — and patience with others is most likely not going to be our strong suit. As best as you can, use this energy to initiate new relationships and to find harmonious solutions for relationship issues. Give your body time to connect to that place of inner balance.
If you have an Aries Sun- or Rising-sign, you are going to be quite a bit more focused on relationship issues and justice. If you are a Libra Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 7.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.
Friday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Thursday late morning for details).
Friday afternoon, an opportune Venus/Saturnaspect becomes exact at 12:12pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will be strong until Saturday night. This aspect gives us the opportunity to bring a sense of realism to our relationships, values and financial affairs: We are more able to get to the bottom of what needs to be dealt with in those areas and take responsibility for how we are handling things.
On a financial level, we have an opportunity to see more clearly when and how we might make long-term investments in other people's resources. There's no need to rush anything; think it through carefully and responsibly -- do the "due diligence". Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us, we have to "take" it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-7 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Also on Friday afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Jupiteraspect becomes exact at 1:18pm EST. We started feeling this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until Sunday. This aspect is an opportunity for expanding our thinking and expressing ourselves in a confident and optimistic way; we share what's important to us from a place of open-mindedness and excitement.
This connection also creates a possibility for expansion by stepping into uncharted territory. Humor can be a great way to tap into this energetic combo. This planetary connection also favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, and making observations. We more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and are more open to learning.
Again, with any opportunity... we have to take it: It requires taking actions on our part. What can you do that will instill confidence in your exploration of the mind? Is there a new mental process that is asking to be explored?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-21 degrees of Scorpio,Virgo, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Friday at 10:19pm EST, we enter a 21-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 7:21pm EST (Saturday evening). We may feel drawn to exploring practical details in our daily routines, but also to stepping outside of day-to-day thinking, to look for the larger truth. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions around this tension.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening (and Saturday daytime) in advance ;-)
Saturday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius and VoC until 7:21pm EST (see Thursday late morning and Friday late evening for details).
Saturday at 7:21pm EST, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Tuesday very early morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.
We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)
Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?
Also on Saturday evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:33pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Friday night on; it will be strong until Sunday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
We may have an unrealistic sense of our ability to relate right now and be attracted to inaccurate perceptions of others. This is based on incorrect appraisals of who we are and where we are going. We might also get confused when we aren't able to complete our various projects. As we show genuine self-acceptance (including toward our limitations) our range of love expression increases.
It is also worthwhile to look at how our ideas are being received by others: Can we involve them in our dreams? As best as you can, slow down: "If a thing is worth having, it's worth waiting for." Just for right now, could you simply have faith that everything will align eventually?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-8 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Sunday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Saturday evening for details).
Sunday starts with high hopes, and an opportunity to bring a good dose of faith and intuition to our quest for success. However, we also need to adjust and innovate, when working with others. Flexibility is key ;-)
Towards the evening, we most likely will strongly focus on accomplishing things and getting down to business. As best as you can, refrain from getting too obsessed with anything: Take some breaks ;-) We feel quite in-sync with our conscious and unconscious drives — things most likely flow and we can see concrete results.
A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Saturday evening for details) It is time to actions on our New Moon intentions from earlier this week, and at 3:53pm EST, we enter a 10.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 2:24am EST (Tuesday very early morning).... More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
