Healthy Interdependence -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Dec. 7th - Sun., Dec. 13th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week, I was talking to a client about trust vs. blind faith, and I realized that trust is connected to the "now-moment". Very often we have a hard time accepting what is so, and trusting that it is for the best and highest good in terms of our evolution. Learning to trust is connected to the evolutionary process we are in right now

On the other hand, we very often have blind faith when it comes to our future or our vision for life. We say things like: "Oh, it's going to be ok..." or "I will be able to manage it... it will all turn out beautifully..." However, if we are not trusting the "moment of now" and the process that will guide us towards our future, how can our future and our visions turn out ok?

This week's headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase becomes exact on Monday afternoon; Mercury changes signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn on Wednesday evening; the New Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Friday morning; and on Sunday, Uranus starts to slow down — beginning its station before turning direct again (after being retrograde for 5 months).

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday until 6:26am EST, Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (for almost 16 hours), Friday late morning (for a little over 14.5 hours), and Sunday evening (for 14 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 6:26am EST.

Monday at 6:26am EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time.

As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free.

Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.

Monday early afternoon, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase, this lasts until Friday early morning, when the New Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact (…more on that later..). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Tuesday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Monday morning for details).

Tuesday evening, a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:38pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Saturday. An original, unique approach to life is in order with this aspect. Flexibility is the key to success at this time, and pleasant changes are in store.

We may make some creative changes and discoveries, experiment with new possibilities, or invent a new way of doing things. This is a dynamic and exciting period, when taking advantage of unusual or unconventional opportunities may reap rewards. How could you surprise yourself? What would "just crazy enough" look like? Watch out for messages from the Universe :-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 14-20 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will feel more blessed by this planetary connection than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aquarius (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Wednesday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 5:25pm EST (see Monday morning for details).

Tuesday night/ Wednesday very early morning at 1:39am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts almost 16 hours, until 5:25pm EST. Use this intuitive time for deep, authentic emotional connection with others. See if you can bring a new level of optimism to your daily routine. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Wednesday Day ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday morning, a challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:04am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Saturday. This asks us to stretch ourselves and expand from within. We might feel less confident about who we are, and have a hard time projecting a social "front". Our conditioned mind and wounded feelings may be out of harmony with each other.

As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or "less than". It is perfectly ok to have feelings and feel insecure once in a while; as best as you can, bring compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 14-20 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Virgo or Gemini? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).

Wednesday at 5:25pm EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Friday night/Saturday very early morning. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- meaning the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is the key: we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.

Wednesday at 9:34pm EST, Mercury changes signs from optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius to practical, accomplishment-oriented, status-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Jan. 1st. This is a time when our minds like to make concrete plans for the future. A systematic, practical approach to reaching our goals is now favored; we are good at focusing on practical matters and getting down to the essentials.

We do not waste any words at this time -- what we say is truthful and to the point. We see reality very clearly now -- and it might not look as rosy as we thought. As best as you can, use this time to get in touch with what's real in your life -- without going down the "rabbit hole" of pessimistic inadequacy ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be more serious and possible more eager to accomplish concrete goals. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Capricorn? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty for the next 3 weeks.

Thursday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday for details).

Thursday evening, a Mars/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 8:31pm EST. We started to feel this opposition from last Saturday on; it will be strong until Tuesday of next week (Dec.15th). This aspect is part of a T-square that I mentioned in my New Moon video (if you haven't seen it yet, feel free to click here :-)

Unexpected behaviors and urges to be independent could have us ignoring our instincts and much of what has motivated us up until now; this could take us off in a different direction. Our unusual behavior could provoke others, potentially causing emotional confrontations or sudden conflicts.

Find a balance as best as you can, between courageously (or even heedlessly) charging forward, versus doing things to gain other’s approval. Remember: We need other people if we are to achieve our goals and make necessary changes. That said, it’s crucial to leave any  codependent tendencies behind and move towards interdependency. What does healthy interdependency look like to you?

Do your best to channel the extra energy in a productive way: physical exercise is great, as is consciously breaking away from relationships or situations that have limited you. We may experience sudden insights in connection to other people or a situation in our lives. As best as you can, stay grounded and keep breathing regularly :-)

Think back to mid March of 2015, when Mars aligned with Uranus: What got started around then? With Mars opposing Uranus now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then. In other words: What has emerged since mid March of 2015?

Do you have your Ascendant or personal planets in 13-20 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will feel the effects of this opposition more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Friday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday for details).

Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 1:13am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Sunday evening. This supports us with the flow of feelings, especially in connection to our relationships and whatever we most value. Bringing compassion to our deepest feelings (including fears) and how we relate to others is going to feel easier at this time.

Our intuition and instincts are strongly supported here too. It becomes easier to trust others and open up to them; we give ourselves permission to receive love and emotional support. As best as you can, let all feelings flow.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-10 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Friday at 5:29am EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 19 degrees of Sagittarius. With the New Moon in this optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking sign, we will be seeking to expand our day-to-day knowledge and looking for a larger truth. This is a great time to begin any new projects that require traveling, exploring new territory and the ability to see the bigger picture. How can we open up to new adventures, new perspectives? What might we see if we zoomed out?

The New Moon in Sagittarius is the focal point of a T-Square with Jupiter (in Virgo) and Chiron (in Pisces). This brings a focus to our beliefs and perspectives about life. Our upbringing, society, gender, race, religious beliefs, cultural background and other sources of "conventional wisdom" teach us to view things from a particular perspective. In order to do things differently, we must first see things differently -- and what we see depends on where we stand.

Questions you can ask yourself: Where else could I stand? How would that change my everyday life? What kind of future am I working towards? Why?

This T-square invites us to take two 90-degree turns; by doing so, we not only gain a new perspective, we also explore different avenues that lead to different outcomes.

The first turn is to distinguish fact from belief. Where have you been operating from outdated or inaccurate information? Could you set aside judgement in favor of vision?

The second turn is to bring a compassionate embrace of our own humanity into our day-to-day experiences. We'll need to stay flexible, make adjustments, and find creative solutions when it comes to these very different desires and focuses.

Chiron (the "Wounded Healer") asks us to take a close look at any old wounds and memories of shame or separation. If we get triggered, we can look to see where in the past the trigger originated; then, as best as we can, bring compassion and understanding to that wounded/shamed/abandoned part of ourselves. As humans, we experience pain/shame/separation, but can heal through the unconditional love and self-acceptance of the spirit-human alliance.

With all of this, communication and self-care take a very special place for the next 2 weeks... it's very important to share your philosophies, beliefs, assumptions and expectations with others, as this will help you see if you are on the right track. The most valuable resource for "new truths" that move us past preconceived ideas is feedback.

The Self-care part has to do with Pluto in Capricorn being the focal point of a T-Square with Mars (in Libra) and Uranus (in Aries). We are being pulled in many different directions; without self-care, we will not be able to maintain the pace and meet the demands on us right now.

As best as you can, have the courage to think differently and explore new directions. Flexibility is key! Roll with the punches, stand in your power and empower others whenever possible. That takes rest, eating right, drinking plenty of water -- and letting in affection from friends, family, or pets. As best as you can, listen to what your body and heart needs ;-)

Neptune in Pisces is still in a square with Saturn in Sagittarius. We're invited to stretch and grow: On the one hand, we are being asked to flow with divine timing. This is Neptune in Pisces, asking us to have faith in the infinite support we receive every day, every moment, from the Universe and our intuition.

On the other hand, Saturn in Sagittarius asks us to take responsibility for our own perceptions and attitudes towards life; to expand our horizons and think in new ways -- but with maturity & realism. Perhaps the greatest perspective shift of all is to see through the illusion of separation from the divine.

If this New Moon had a core message, it would be: Be open to shifting your perceptions. What might change if we went from blame- and guilt-thinking to compassion and self-acceptance-thinking? Where have you made assumptions? What beliefs call out for reassessment? What do you believe -- and what do you simply “know”? What does "spiritual maturity" mean to you?

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 17 - 21 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be between 5:30am and 11:06am EST on Friday, or between 1:46am on Saturday and 5:30am EST Sunday morning.

Friday at 11:06am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 14.5-hour until 1:46am EST (Saturday very early morning). On the one hand, you may feel a need for adventure and exploration; on the other, you may be driven to expand something in your daily routines or health regimen. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions in terms of these two different energies.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan most of Friday ahead of time ;-)

Friday night/Saturday very early morning at 1:46am EST, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Monday morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.

We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Sunday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Saturday very early morning for details).

Sunday at 6:07pm EST, we enter a 14-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 7:59am EST (Monday morning). Use this intuitive time to accomplish things already on your to-do-list -- or tap into your intuitive side and visualize the next steps toward long-term goals.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening/night and Monday early morning ahead of time ;-)

Also on Sunday: Uranus begins to slow down -- it will come to a complete halt on Dec. 25th, prior to starting its direct motion again after its 5-month retrograde phase. We will feel this station until Jan. 5th; until then, anything connected to Uranus's energy will come into our awareness quite strongly; we are faced with this planet’s message.

Uranus is all about breaking away from traditional structures, moving towards a new future, a future that serves others as well as ourselves. Keyword: Freedom. We might have flashes of insight or new ideas about what needs to change in our lives. Definitely expect the unexpected.

Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet, so don't be surprised if you experience some interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are also ruled by Uranus, so these will also be more at the forefront of our awareness. As best as you can, stay open and flexible, go with the flow -- and pay attention to those messages from the Universe ;-)

As best as you can, take a closer look at whatever is "in your face" for the next 3 weeks. Our intuitions will be very strong during this time and we have access to sudden insights and ideas. This gives us the opportunity to take a look to see how free we actually feel.

Are we expressing our individuality to the fullest? Are we connecting to a larger vision? Is anything holding us back? What did you discover about visions and freedoms these past 5 months?

Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Aquarius? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-19 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you are more affected by this station.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn and VoC until 7:59am EST (see Saturday very early morning and Sunday evening for details). At that time, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday of next week. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount. In the late morning, a challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 2:40pm EST. In the mid afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 2:40pm EST. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
