Life-Perspectives -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Jan. 11th - Sun., Jan. 17th, 2016

Last week started out chaotic and crazy... not really all that surprising, considering the simultaneous Uranus, Mercury and Jupiter stations.

My spirits were not at an all-time high, due to some physical stuff that came up; I had to remind myself that the New Year truly begins after the New Moon in Capricorn becomes exact (and in fact, things did start to look better to me after that). There was definitely a great need for balance between self-care & nurturing the body/mind, and taking care of business.

If you'd like to better align yourself with this year's astrological aspects, click here to check out my 2016 planetary overview

This week's headline items: the Jupiter station ends on Wednesday; the first Quarter Moon in Aries becomes exact on Saturday evening; andthere will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for almost 23 hours), Thursday late morning (for almost 10.5 hours), and Saturday evening (for almost 6.5 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day.It will journey there until Tuesday evening. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) is transiting through Aries right now. This is therefore a great time to focus on our personal vision for life and humanity; we also get clearer on how sharing our unique ideas (and fighting for our individual goals or rights), might make a difference for others.

Monday evening: If you didn’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, this is your last chance before we enter an almost 23-hour Moon void of course (VoC) (it runs from 8:09pm until 6:53pm EST, Tuesday evening. Use this intuitive time to connect to your vision (for yourself and humanity). Networking or group causes might be of particular interest.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday evening and Tuesday Day ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius and VoC until 6:53pm EST(see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 6:53pm EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Thursday late evening. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Tuesday evening, a harmonious Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 7:11pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect helps us to embrace all that is new and unusual in romance and finance. We are ready to experiment -- but not to commit. We have an offbeat, pleasant attitude and people are more willing to socialize.

This is an especially good time for financial undertakings involving any of the following: technology and the internet; metaphysics; the arts; group activities. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, this could be a good couple of days for the stock market indexes…or at the very least, an unpredictable one :-)

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 13-20 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

If you set intentions on Saturday evening, Sunday or Monday (after the New Moon became exact), from Tuesday on, after 6:53pm EST until Thursday at 11:31am EST,will be the best time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Wednesday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday late afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:49pm EST; it will be strong all week. It’s an opportunity to see things from a different perspective. What will lead us to this new vantage point? Optimism, an open mind, an open heart: Follow your enthusiasm as if it were a wilderness guide — and let yourself be creative and free.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-26 degrees of Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus? If so, you will be more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Wednesday evening, a challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 7:26pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Saturday. This aspect asks us to stretch past injuries and insecurities in our relationships, self-worth and finances. If we can bring compassion and a different point of view to these issues, we will reach a new understanding of ourselves and our life journey.

We have the opportunity to learn from one another; ironically though, social insecurities can be magnified at this time. Whenever Chiron is involved, we are being asked to do some healing work. As best as you can, use this time to learn about your sore spots. Nobody is perfect: we all have our flaws and idiosyncrasies. It's ok.

If you get triggered by someone, as best as you can, take it as an opportunity to see where this trigger originated -- probably in your childhood. Bring love and compassion to yourself as you are, and as you were. Allow any feelings this may stir up in you. A feeling is just energy that wants to be experienced; it wants to move through us and out.

The more we resist our feelings, the more we keep them spinning in place. As best as you can, move from the head to the heart. What might change, if you had 5% more compassion with yourself and others? What if you just decided to have faith in the healing process?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 15-21 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Last but not least for Wednesday, Jupiter ends its station and resumes its normal pace through the sky. We have a chance to do some internal work on whatever came up around beliefs, attitudes and life-perspectives in the last two weeks.

Thursday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 9:48pm EST (see Tuesday evening for details).

Thursday morning, a Sun/Mercury alignment in24 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 9:05am EST. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Friday. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical, down to earth approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.

In general, we have a strong need to take an active role in communications -- it is very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now has impact, so as best as you can, choose your words wisely. If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not "heard" -- if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that's ok.

We may also be particularly stubborn during this time… it may not always be of service to us to dig our heals in: choose your battles wisely. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde; so, use your intuition when communicating with others. Maybe something needs to be re-communicated from a couple of weeks ago…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Thursday at 11:31am EST, we enter an almost 10.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 9:48pm EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to do things that help you get connected to your higher Self. It’s also a great time for bringing a sense of flow and faith to your long-term plans.

If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your day ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your day ahead of time ;-)

Thursday evening, a harmonious Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 3:19pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Sunday

Due to Mercury’s retrograde phase, this is actually the second time we have experienced this aspect within the last two-and-a-half weeks;given that both planets involved in this aspect are now moving retrograde, we are invited to look back to the the week around Dec.25th, to see what thoughts and ideas developed at that time.

What did we communicate to others? To ourselves? About life and our state of well-being?

Internally, we are more optimistic and realistic, which is good, since we see the bigger picture, communicate more positively and readily inspire others. We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-26 degrees of Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus? If so, you will feel most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Thursday at 9:48pm EST, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Saturday night/Sunday very early morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity. This also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Saturday).

Friday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Thursday evening for more details). The energy towards the first Quarter Moon is building (exact on Saturday)....

On Friday morning, we may feel a little restless or impatient; as best as you can, remain flexible and make adjustments as needed. As the day moves on, it becomes a great time for physical activities, and for actively going after our personal goals and committing to new adventures or ways of thinking about life. We feel ready to get things done (especially true in the second half of the day).

Saturday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Thursday evening for more details).

Saturday at 6:26pm EST, the first Quarter Moon in 26 degrees of Aries becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Aries on Thursday. The Moon in pioneering, enthusiastic, fast-paced Aries makes a challenging aspect to the Sun practical, cautious, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn.

We feel compelled to take action. Last Saturday (Jan. 9th) saw the New Moon; "seeds" planted then are probably "sprouting" by now -- and making first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy. As best as you can, take it one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible and find creative solutions in your day-to-day dealings with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 24-28 degrees of Aries, Capricorn, Libra or Cancer? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer)

Saturday at 6:26pm EST, we enter an almost 6.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 12:48am EST (Saturday night/Sunday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments -- or even find creative solutions to the seemingly insoluble. Make space for rapid progress on personal desires, and also for responsible choices that support your values over the long term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening ahead of time ;-)

Saturday night/Sunday very early morning at 12:48am EST, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Tuesday morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

Sunday early afternoon (until the evening): We feel calm and supported; we can slow down and trust our inner process. The more we go with the flow and have faith that all is well, the more we can get done, all while enjoying the day's calm and steady pace. As best as you can, work on projects that began before Jan. 1st ;-)

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Sunday very early morning for details). In the wee morning hours, a challenging Venus/Jupiter aspectbecomes exact at 12:10am EST.We started to feel this aspect from Friday on, it will be strong until Wednesday of next week. In the morning, a harmonious Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 6:01am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until Friday of next week... More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
