For me personally, last week was full of amazing discoveries -- about myself, my past Self and my journey. I got completely taken out by a really intense head cold at the end of the week and it helped me release some really "old" beliefs that have been with me since childhood... one of them being that "I am all alone and not even 'God' loves me".
I also realized that this belief has been behind my need to keep busy, constantly stay in action, or find other ways to distract myself from the silence around and within me.
I also got a wonderful new affirmation from one of my human "guides": "I trust my intuition, therefore I trust the unknown". I feel such powerful releases on an emotional and spiritual level that it almost feels like a rebirthing experience ;-) This Eclipse's energy is truly powerful!
This week's headline items: A powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse and SuperMoon become exact on Tuesday evening. We can start setting our "Intentions" for this Eclipse cycle on Thursday evening and finally, Venus changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces on Saturday morning.
There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very early morning (for almost 10.5 hours), Tuesday evening (for almost 18 hours), Friday afternoon (for almost 1.5 hours), and Sunday morning (for a little over 11 hours).
Monday (March 7th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 2:08pm EST. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.
Monday at 3:46am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 10.5-hours, until 2:08pm EST. Use this intuitive time to share your innovative ideas and unique worldviews with others... without apologies. Collaborate with like-minded others on a better future for humanity.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Monday ahead of time ;-)
Monday at 2:08pm EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.
Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)
Monday is also the last day before the Solar Eclipse becomes exact. Some potent energy has been coming our way; it would be wise to let ourselves to be transformed by it — to allow our consciousness upgrade to be installed.
This is a good time to slow things down and go within. For many of us, this will be a stretch, as we want to do just the opposite: jump the gun, get started with something new, act impulsively, etc. This is quite common right before a Solar Eclipse. As best as you can, stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions and connect to your inner wisdom.
It comes down to this: just for now and just as best as you can... could you simply allow what is... to be? Could you simply be the “observer” until the upgrade is complete?
Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing things. Think back to late March 2015 and Sept. 2015 -- the time of the last Solar Eclipse in Pisces and the last Solar Eclipse in Virgo. What did you start around then? How could you complete it?
Tuesday (March 8th) is a powerful day! The Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day(see Monday afternoon for details).
Tuesday morning, a Sun/Jupiter opposition becomes exact at 5:57am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on; it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect can bring an opportunity to open up our consciousness through other people. As best as you can, expand your perspectives about life and enjoy the optimism.
The urge to grow and expand is strong, but we might overreach; hasty actions might backfire. As best as you can, don’t push the decision-making process... just trust to the divine timing of things. Projects or ambitions may reach a culmination point or see a surprising changes. Ask yourself: What insights am I receiving? What if just I trusted this process?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or any personal planets in 15-22 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
On Tuesday at 8:54pm EST, theMoon aligns with the Sun in almost 19 degrees of Pisces, marking the beginning of both a new Moon cycle and a new Eclipse cycle. (Eclipses take place approximately every 6 months).
Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that bring a consciousness shifts; in this case, this will unfold over the next 6 months. Feel free to also watch my video on the subject ;-) Those of us who have Natal planets within 5 degrees of the Eclipse will experience more dramatic shifts than others (more on that later…)
During Eclipses, the Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes — in this case, the South Node -- and South Node Eclipses can help us release energies or attachments that no longer serve our Soul’s evolution.
Solar Eclipses always end one 19-year cycle and begin another. They reveal pathways to the next level of our evolution -- you can think of them as consciousness upgrades. The last time there was a Solar Eclipse in that same degree of Pisces was back on March 8th, 1997.
We are likely to experience a resonance between now and that period — "resonant", rather than identical — so think back to that time: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important back then? If there were a call this time to take those priorities to the next level… Where would that next level find you?
If you're looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest a look at your Natal Chart: The House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life you're most ready to take to a new level of consciousness. If that idea appeals, I suggest a look at my 30-minute class, "How to Read My Birth Chart"
This New Moon/Solar Eclipse is also a SuperMoon; these generate greater gravitational and electromagnetic pulls on our physical and emotional bodies — and pull more powerfully on our psyches too.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. It connects us to our spiritual journey -- a reunion with Source/God/the Universe. Pisces at its highest vibration, unifies all dualities -- it is completely aware of the oneness/interconnectedness between all things.
Everything is energy, everything is connected and everything is in a continuous flow/movement. Each of us is like a drop of water, appearing to be individual, yet also a part of the big ocean of life. We are the sum of all parts: physical, spiritual, emotional, mental… That which exists is part of the whole.
Neptune, Mercury and Chiron are also in Pisces at the time of the Eclipse, amplifying the message to shift from right- to left-brain, from the rational to the intuitive ;-) We are being invited to forgive our own "humanness" individually and collectively -- and to open our hearts (Chiron on the South Node) I also talked about this in more detail in my last video: Full Moon in Virgo. Feel free to watch it again
Eclipses are a time for clarifying and affirming our highest path. With the Moon Nodes in Virgo and Pisces, we are invited to simplify whenever possible, bringing love to everything we do and experience -- to all that we are.
We are bound to experience a release -- and a recalibration: “Old” codes will get deleted and new programming downloaded -- especially in connection with emotional and intuitive intelligence. Suppressing or denying our feelings and intuitive gifts is no longer recommended.
We are learning that our "feeling body" is just as valuable as our "physical and mental body". There is no shame in feeling things, in being sensitive, in being imaginative and kind -- not just with the people we love but publicly as well. We need to shift our perspective about "feelings" and "being sensitive", from perceiving it as a weakness, to allowing it to be our strength.
We need to embrace all of who we are (including our emotional body), if we are to fully function in this world -- and if we are to create a world that supports all living things equally.
If we can shift our perspective from "failure and blame" to "growth and learning", we have an opportunity here to take a quantum leap forward in our individual and collective evolution. Remember: a transformation of 5% of the members would trigger a lasting shift for the collective.
Are you going to be one of the 5%ers? What might shift if you allowed yourself to float with the stream rather than struggle against it? What might be possible if you gave your body and mind the opportunity to slow down and get completely quiet at least 5 minutes every day?
As best as you can, allow yourself to be in a quiet, receptive state on the day of the Eclipse. If you can, also take the days immediately before and after for meditation, walks in nature, creative or spiritual endeavors — anything that supports going within and tapping into your inner divinity. If you have other obligations, as best as you can, take 5 minute breaks here and there to get quiet and be with yourself (your intuitive/feeling Self).
We are also invited to look at any disconnection from spirit for the next 6 months. Ask yourself: What might a healthy connection with the energetic world feel like? Could I "allow what shows up" in my life without questioning it?
Having an open heart does not mean "not taking actions" or "being a door mat", it simply means that I am coming from a place of love towards myself and others. When we walk our path with an open heart, we take actions that are aligned with intuition -- and we communicate our boundaries and perhaps even remove ourselves from situations when it is the loving thing to do.
In other words: moving with love rather than fear. This is something we need to relearn; we are so conditioned to move with fear, to closing off and protecting ourselves. An open heart used to be a luxury... now it will become a necessity!
Between now and April 7th, allow for the new templates to download; stay centered and do your best to ground from within -- try using conscious breathing, flexibility -- and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional and mental body... This won't last forever -- in four weeks, the downloads are complete ;-)
With a Solar Eclipse we want to wait 48 hours before setting our intentions. In Thursday's entry, I’ll be talking about setting some powerful intentions for the next 6 months -- and I'll give you the very best times for doing so.
For now though, here are some questions you can ask yourself: What stops me from connecting to my inner divinity? What if I opened myself up to the perfection of life? What if I trusted the universal timing of all things, everything that occurs?
Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in one of the following placements: 14-24 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this extra-powerful New Moon more strongly for the next 6 months. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Right after the Eclipse becomes exact, we enter an almost 18-hour Moon void of course (VoC) from 8:54pm, until 2:40pm EST (Wednesday afternoon). Use this intuitive time to go within and meditate or pray, give thanks or simply converse with your Higher Self. Also, see if you can remember your dreams and write them down.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and the first half of Wednesday ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday (March 9th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 2:40pm EST (see Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening for details).
If you can, take today (Wednesday) for meditation, walks in nature, creative or spiritual endeavors — anything that supports going within, resting and tapping into your inner divinity. If you have other obligations, as best as you can, take 5 minute breaks here and there to get completely quiet and be with yourself (your intuitive/feeling Self).
As best as you can, allow for your consciousness upgrade to be installed. Just for now and just as best as you can... could you simply allow what is... to be? Could you simply be the “observer” until the upgrade is complete?
Wednesday at 2:40pm EST, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Friday afternoon. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
Thursday (March 10th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday afternoon for details).
As mentioned in Tuesday's entry, the two best and most potent times to set intentions for the next 6 months are:
1) Between 8:54pm EST Thursday and 1:24pm EST, Friday
2) Between 2:44pm Friday and 8:54pm EST on Saturday.
Thursday late evening, a Sun/Chiron alignment in almost 21 degrees of Pisces becomes exact at 11:27pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday night (March 7th) on; it will be strong until Sunday night (March 13th). It gives us an opportunity to heal insecurities or shame through conscious awareness.
Becoming aware of old wounds or limitations is the first step toward healing them. Bringing compassion, self-acceptance and love to it is the second. Together, steps one and two make for a beautiful healing experience.
It will help to stay grounded — connected to the Earth and your body. If waves of feeling come up, let them -- simply observe the waves. Are you the wave or the ocean (for whom the wave is just a small part of the whole)? Allow the waves to wash ashore then return to the ocean.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo)
Friday (March 11th):the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 2:44pm EST (see Wednesday afternoon for details).
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a Mercury/Neptune alignment in almost 10 degrees of Pisces becomes exact at 1:01am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Saturday evening. This alignment will take our connection to our intuition even deeper.
Spiritual and creative endeavors are highly recommended during this time -- especially those involving music or creative writing. This is definitely a highly imaginative time. As best as you can, go with the flow and -- just for now -- let go of wanting to figure it all out.
The highest vibration of this aspect is idealistic, highly intuitive and romantic; on a lower level vibration, we might not see reality clearly and we might easily feel overwhelmed. We might get confused or disappointed; things might seem a little foggy, especially when it comes to communication, public transportation or daily traffic.
Check in with others before signing any documents or making long-term decisions this week: get reality checks! As best as you can, let go and let flow ;-) On the other hand, trust the divine timing of things and have faith that everything will turn out exactly as it needs to.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Friday early afternoon, at 1:24pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 1.5 hours until 2:44pm EST. During this intuitive time, bring passion and charm to any connections with like-minded souls. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)
Friday mid afternoon, at 2:44pm EST, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Sunday afternoon. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.
Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)
The second and last "most potent" time to set intentions for the next 6 months runs from today (Friday) until 8:54pm EST on Saturday. So go ahead: plant some seeds! Before writing your intentions down, I recommend watching my my Solar Eclipse video, to align yourself with the Eclipse's energies.
Saturday (March 12th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Friday afternoon for details).
Saturday morning, at 5:24am EST, Venus changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius to creative, sensitive Pisces, where she will journey until April 5th. For the next three and a half weeks, we have a chance to connect to other people from our compassionate heart. We may also idealize our relationships a little — we’re feeling quite romantic, and hopeful that our dreams will be fulfilled.
With Venus in Pisces, our love is very accepting -- it comes as close to "unconditional" as humans can get. One way this shows up: We root for the underdog. We prefer feeling things out to planning.
As you can imagine, we may spend our money on things that don’t make “sense” -- but if we heed intuition and allow for money to flow freely, we may discover that the Universe is always taking care of us ;-)
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces? If so, beauty and love will enhance your life for the next three-and-a-half weeks. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? You may feel a strong need for romance or unconditional love -- or dream of the ideal relationship. Your finances and values may undergo the spiritual process of releasing control and trusting more to intuition and the flow of life.
Sunday (March 13th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:03pm EDT (see Friday afternoon for details).
Daylight Savings Time moves US clocks an hour ahead very early this morning -- and you may have to adjust how you interpret the times I give for aspects. For example, England will now be 4 hours ahead of the times I list, rather than the current 5 hours. Please check your timezone converter online, if you are not sure ;-)
Sunday morning, at 5:46am EDT we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 11 hours, until 5:03pm EDT. We can use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to our feelings and bodies. We may want to slow down a little and allow ourselves either to be creative... or simply enjoy life.
As with all Moon VoCs, do not start anything brand-new. If at all possible, plan your day ahead of time, stick to routine things, or go with the flow... 'cos the flow knows where to go ;-)
Sunday afternoon, at 5:03pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Tuesday evening. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.
A head's up for next Monday (March 14th): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Sunday late afternoon for details). In the afternoon a challenging Mercury/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 3:26pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will be strong until Thursday morning. This is followed by a challenging Venus/Mars aspect which becomes exact at 4:48pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will be strong until Wednesday morning. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
