Last week was a little calmer than prior weeks... or at least, I was feeling calmer from within :-) I had another wonderful week of healing -- a lot of releasing the past and lower-vibrational thoughts / feelings. I could really feel lots of shifts taking place :-)
This week's headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Monday afternoon; the Mars station intensifies on Tuesday; Venus and Mercury change signs on Tuesday; the Pluto station intensifies on Wednesday; and the New Moon in Aries becomes exact on Thursday morning (ending Eclipse season).
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday morning (for a little over 20 hours), Thursday late morning (for a little over 15 hours), and Saturday morning (for a little over 20 hours).
Monday (April 4th) at 1:45am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday very early morning. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.
Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)
Monday afternoon, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Thursday morning, when the New Moon in Aries becomes exact (more on that on Thursday). We are being asked to slow down, get quiet, so that we can listen to our intuition.
Rather than starting something new, aim to complete existing projects -- and let go of that which no longer serves you. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
Lots happening on Tuesday (April 5th)! The Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday for details).
Tuesday at 6:33am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 20 hours, until 2:46am EDT (Wednesday very early morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to your higher Self, and if possible, bring a sense of flow and faith to your long-term plans -- especially those you feel really passionate about.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Tuesday day and evening ahead of time ;-)
Tuesday around noon, a harmonious Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 12:09pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on; it will be strong until this Friday. We feel grounded and stable, have common sense at our disposal, and are willing to look reality in the eye and take responsibility for our lives (especially in regards to our thoughts and deeds). It's easy to stick to a specific task and make progress.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-19 degrees of Aries, Sagittarius or Leo? If so, you will be more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Tuesday at 12:50pm EDT, Venus changes signs from intuitive, creative, dreamy Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic, active Aries, where it will journeyuntil April 29th. For the next three and a half weeks, we are going to feel passionate about connecting to others. We are ready to make a new start: if you are single this is your chance to start something new.
If you are already in a committed relationship, you get a wonderful chance to bring freshness, fun and excitement to your bedroom and "other parts of the house" ;-)
With Venus in Aries, spontaneity and independence are important to us. We like a challenge, so don't make it too easy for others to win you over ;-) We also have more energy than usual; we are more likely to want to get out of the house and be active with others.
All this is especially true if you are a Taurus, Libra or Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aries, beauty and love will enter your life in the next three and a half weeks, you will feel more attractive and you will attract things to you. As a Taurus or Libra, you will feel more energized, passionate and direct than usual.
Tuesday at 7:09pm EDT, Mercury changes signs fromenthusiastic, fast-paced Aries to steady, peaceful Taurus, where, due to Mercury's retrograde phase in late April/early May, it will journey for an unusually long time (until June 12th).
For the next 9.5 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: we want to connect to others in a realistic, down-to-earth way and we "say it like it is". We appreciate common sense; we rely on our senses when it comes to processing information.
A well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this Mercury position, so for the next 2 months or so, we will be drawn towards the "tasteful" in the realm of the five senses. We are more likely to have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and our ideas are often very practical and useful at this time.
When it comes to learning, we prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts for the next 9.5 weeks. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb. We simply process information better when we can personalize it ("what use is it to me?") and attach it to the practical world.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you may need to slow down and “smell the roses” ;-)
Last but not least, also on Tuesday, Mars’s station intensifies. Mars started to slow down already on March 26th. It will come to a halt on April 17th in 8 degrees of Sagittarius -- starting its 2.5-month retrograde phase -- and will move more slowly for a couple of weeks.
Between now and May 8th, anything connected to Mars's energy will come into our awareness quite strongly: We are being invited to pay attention to what this planet is trying to communicate to us.
Marsrepresents our assertiveness, independence and “masculine” energy. It is also associated with new initiatives, going after one's goals, and with physical actions. With Mars' energy exalted, we are more aware of these things -- but are not necessarily able to do anything about any of it yet.
This may bring up impatience, frustration or even outright anger. What's more, since Mars is in Sagittarius right now, we may express this anger more openly, even exaggeratedly... Should this arise, try bringing humor to it -- this could prove an inspired way to deal with it all. Physical exercise could also be a great way to tap into these energies.
Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Aries? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-9 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you are more affected by this station.
Wednesday (April 6th) at 2:46am EDT, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
With the Moon in Aries Wednesday and Thursday, we will be more aware of the Mars station (since Mars rules Aries); as best as you can, observe your desires and physical impulses.
Wednesday afternoon, a challenging Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 4:13pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Saturday evening. This aspect is part of the Sun/Uranus alignment in Ariesthat will be exact on Saturday (more about that later...). What we identify ourselves with could now be challenged.
This aspect forces us to confront our will, power, assertion, and authority. Coming into focus now: the relationship with a father- or other important male-figures. We may face the need to be more independent, assertive, and autonomous.
We may alienate others with a controlling, jealous, or overbearing manner. This manner stems from a deep fear of letting go and surrendering to the idea that some things cannot be directed or controlled. This fear may lead us to compulsive, suspicious, or difficult behavior, costing us the very thing that we hold dear. As best as you can, open yourself up to the power of love within.
When you do, you will discover your own strength, and rework your very identity. Perhaps most importantly, this aspect puts us face to face with exactly what's been holding us back from leading a fuller, more meaningful life. We are learning to detach from (let go of) something or someone that no longer serves us -- the "something" could include attitudes.
We may have to make some changes or adjustments with our personal or long-term goals. If you feel pressured into doing something or you feel a power struggle build, as best as you can, get centered, get grounded and open your heart and mind. This aspect is a major growth opportunity for us: we struggle with buried elements of our personality and ego, learning to face, accept and transform them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Aries, Capricorn, Libra or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun is the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Also on Wednesday, the Pluto station intensifies until April 29th. It will come to a halt on April 18th in 17 degrees of Capricorn, starting its 5-month retrograde phase.
As I mentioned last week already, when an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced; we become more aware of its impact on us -- and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet's energy has picked up speed again (around May 10th).
Pluto is associated with our soul purpose. It relates to the process of empowerment -- our ability to feel empowered from within, through the experience of wholeness -- and to our deepest passions.
To get to a place of truthfulness on the soul level, Pluto will remove what no longer serves us, replacing it with something new -- something fully aligned with our deepest passions and soul purpose.
To the extent we resist these deep changes, we'll suffer, but if we can surrender and allow for that process to take place, we'll grow in authenticity, and feel a newness and empowerment from within. As best as you can, take a closer look at whatever is "in your face" for the next 3 weeks.
Look for what might no longer be in alignment with your soul's purpose (your deep authentic Self). Ask yourself: Where am I holding on, out of fear? What habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? What would it look like, if I was fully aligned with my Soul-purpose? How would it feel? When we confront our fears we very often discover hidden gifts and strengths.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer or Libra? If so, you will feel this station more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
As Wednesday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days has passed after the New Moon.
Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.
Thursday (April 7th):the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday very early morning for details).
Thursday at 7:24am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sunin 18 degrees of Aries. This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle, and the end of Eclipse season; we are now able to see things more clearly as our consciousness upgrades are compete. This is also the second of six Super Moons this year, making it especially powerful.
With the New Moon in fast-paced, enthusiastic, courageous Aries, we are asked to connect to our personal goals and get very clear what we want to create for this new Moon cycle. This is an action-pact energy and the focus is on ourselves. We tend to do first, think later: We have a tremendous amount of energy and we want to sprint.
Mars (the ruler of Aries), is currently stationing in Sagittarius -- getting ready for it's 2.5 month retrograde (April 17th--June 29th). Its therefore exalted, so we are more aware than ever of its message to tap into our courage and passion, step into the unknown, take initiative and assert ourselves.
We may not be able to put the pedal to the metal all month long -- especially once Mars comes to a halt on April 17th and goes retrograde thereafter -- but we get the chance to reexamine our actions during that time. Look to see what they are based on; backtrack and see if you are actually walking your talk.
Some questions you could ask yourself, that might bring clarity: Am I doing things that are in alignment with my highest nature? Am I following blind dogmas, or am I present to the impact of my actions, my anger?
The New Moon makes a conjunction to Uranus in Aries, and this is also part of a square with Pluto in Capricorn. This underlines the message that we are ready for the next big step on our path. It takes courage to leave familiar territory. Uranus symbolizes the desire for freedom, equality and most of all: progress.
Uranus in Aries, aligned with the New Moon, asks us to break away from whatever keeps us from stepping up our game, whatever keeps us in a rut. Shifts are happening everywhere. It's time to develop some courage and awareness: Where do you want to step up and out? If you made a big leap, where might you land?
Pluto is also stationing (and thus exalted); this brings extra intensity to this process. Pluto shows us where we give our power away to others and where we abuse it ourselves. What structures no longer empower? What are you most aware of right now? What might break down over the long haul?
Since we will be dealing with a lot of retrograde planets this month and next, keep in mind that retrogrades are all about gaining inner clarity and connecting to the energies from within (i.e., more intuitively). This may require us to keep the focus more on ourselves (and check in with our inner compass).
It also gives us a chance to see what works (and what doesn't) in certain areas of our lives; we can take stock and look to see what needs a do-over (or at least a reassessment).
With this New Moon we are capable of going beyond what is familiar, comfortable or customary. Here are some more questions you can ask yourself for the next two to four weeks: What is my vision? What do I want to create now? What needs to change to make this happen?
The highest expression of the Aries energy is when we lead others by example and inspiration -- others follow us because they see our courage, our enthusiasm for life, and they want to be a part of it.
As best as you can, tap into the core of your being — your vision, your purpose — it is an essential part of the collective journey. Be an agent of change; have the courage to step up and out: The time is NOW! The place is HERE! Prepare for liftoff! Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 16-20 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best time to set intentionswould be any time between 7:24am and 10:56am Thursday morning, April 7th (EDT). Then again from 2:10am Friday very early morning (April 8th) until 5:49am Saturday morning, April 9th (EDT). For more info about setting New Moon Intentions click here
Thursday at 10:56am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 15 hours, until 2:10am EDT (Friday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to make connections to like-minded people that might support your projects and sentiments.
If at all possible, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new though — in fact, plan your day ahead of time or stick to routine things. If nothing else… simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday day and evening ahead of time ;-)
Friday very early morning (on April 8th) at 2:10am EDT, theMoon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Sunday very early morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus, our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable. Life… slows… down.
We may also become stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses -- enjoy life and all it has to offer ;-)
Today (Friday) is a great day to set your New Moon intentions, if you haven't done so yet: best time to set those intentionswould be any time between 2:10am very early morning and until 5:49am Saturday morning, April 9th (EDT).For more info about setting New Moon Intentions click here
Saturday (April 9th):theMoon remainsin steady, peacefulTaurusall day (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday at 5:49am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 20 hours, until 1:59am EDT (Sunday very early morning). This is an intuitive time, use it to empower your business contacts and partnerships, and to make realistic financial goals.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday day and evening ahead of time ;-)
Saturday afternoon, a Sun/Uranus alignment in 20 degrees of Aries becomes exact at 5:27pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This alignment brings confidence and a desire to connect with others through a common cause.
We may have sudden insights into our relationships -- and how they connect us to a bigger vision. We know that if we want to move to the next level, we need to strategize with others.
We are also asked to connect to the unusual. Our creative core is awakened: We feel compelled to express ourselves in unique (or at least unconventional) ways. Our consciousness expands, we are receptive to new ways of thinking, new patterns of living; this increased openness to all that is new and different may bring opportunities out of the blue.
Uranus symbolizes the desire for freedom, equality and progress. Uranus in Aries, aligned with the Sun, asks us to break away from whatever keeps us from stepping up our game. Shifts are happening everywhere. It's time to develop some courage and awareness: Where do you want to step up? If you made a big leap, where might you land?
One thing to remember: Keeping the heart and mind open could make a big difference to the experience of this alignment.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-23 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aquarius (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)
Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (on April 10th) at 1:59am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Tuesday morning. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment.
With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.
Sunday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 4:46pm EDT. We've been feeling this aspect since Friday; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
We may have big ideas under this influence... and overestimate our abilities or underestimate the situation. Avoid jumping in too fast and over-promising; check the details.
What we do, think and say are not necessarily in harmony; what's more, instead of listening to others, we tend to interrupt and assume. This is probably not a good day to make important decisions ;-)
Awareness is key with this aspect: What demands to be done? How? How fast? Could you process new information slowly, then act fast?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 7-9 degrees of Taurus or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars of Aries).
A head's up for next Monday (April 11th): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Sunday very early morning for details).Take actions on your New Moon intentions before 2:57pm EDT. At that point we enter a 13-hour Moon void of course (VoC). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
