Guided at Every Turn -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., May 30th - Sun., June 5th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was challenging, to say the least -- this T-square in the mutable signs (on top of the Mars retrograde) has been pulling me in like a whirlpool. Lots of anger issues have been coming up, together with the shame that is sometimes connected to feeling it, expressing it and experiencing it from others.

Taking responsibility for my inner dialogue and outer communications has come up several times as well. I took a hard look at my belief systems and expectations around needing to feel cared about and valued by others. A lack of self-care and self-value seems to be at the center of what's showing up.

I could not have processed through all of it without the help of those who support my spiritual alignment and personal growth on a weekly basis. Thank you! I feel blessed to have this support in my life.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to listen to the recording of my recent Chiron-lecture: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

This week's headline items: Mercury has ended its station but still moves through its shadow phase all this week. Neptune starts to slow down (station) on Tuesday -- it's getting ready for its retrograde phase. The Balsamic Moon phase begins Wednesday evening and the New Moon (in Gemini) becomes exact on Saturday in the late evening.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for 2 hours), Wednesday late morning (for 11 hours), Friday evening (for 4 hours), and Sunday early afternoon (for 11 hours).

Monday (May 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 9:09pm EDT. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Monday: Mercury is back to its regular speed, so things now get back to "normal", with regards to communication and transportation (and any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.).

As you may recall, I mentioned Mercury shadow phases in this update a couple of weeks ago. If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it's best to also avoid the shadow periods. This is especially true if the items you are thinking about getting are connected to transportation (cars, flight tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, i-pad, etc.) This time around, the shadow phase will end on June 7th

Monday at 7:10pm EDT, we enter a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 9:09pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to inspire others about your existing projects and passions. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan Monday evening ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow.

Monday at 9:09pm EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

With Mars being retrograde right now, our Aries Moon may need to hold back a little and feel into things first before acting on them. Rather than start something brand-new, look to see what needs to be re-addressed right now.

Monday late evening, a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:09pm EDT. Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we started to feel this aspect from May 7th on; it will be strong until June 3rd. Our words and our "speaking" are very grounded and realistic. We can feel really empowered by what we say (and how we say it) during this time. Our conviction and passion helps us to connect and empower others.

We are strongly connected to our inner truth and can analyze and understand our motivations toward long-term goals. We investigate our own beliefs about the meaning of life in a very realistic way and look to see what needs to be done next.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, Pluto rules Scorpio)

Tuesday (May 31st): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Monday evening for details)

Tuesday late morning/early afternoon: We have an opportunity to connect to others from the heart and have some lively conversations. In the evening, we feel brave, and ready to commit to a new adventure. That said, we will need to make some inner adjustments, if we are to feel good about those plans.

Also on Tuesday, Neptune starts to slow down its speed, getting ready for the 5-month retrograde phase that starts on June 13th. A planet's energies are more exalted during it's "station period". With an outer planet this has more weight: they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign. It will be felt until June 26th.

Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.

This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 10-14 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini and Sagittarius.

Wednesday (June 1st): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 10:46pm EDT (see Monday evening for details)

Wednesday at 11:42am, we enter a 11-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:46pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to share your ideas with like-minded people. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Wednesday ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday evening, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Saturday late evening, when the New Moon in Gemini becomes exact (…more on that later). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Wednesday late evening, a challenging Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 10:42pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on, it will be strong until this Sunday. This aspect asks us to stretch and grow: On the one hand we want to use our mind to feel confident and centered, on the other hand, we are compelled to listen to our intuition and let our imagination go wild.

Concentrating on artistic or spiritual pursuits might be better than focusing on things that require straightforward, factual thinking at this time. We might feel confused; it might be a challenge to know where we stand with others.

As best as you can, avoid things like scheduling surgery, important appointments, job interviews, or launches of new projects at this time (unless they are spiritual or artistic in nature). Compassion toward ourselves works best for this time period.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 9-15 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or  Virgo?  If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Wednesday at 10:46pm EDT, the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Friday evening. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

Thursday (June 2nd): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday late evening for details)

Thursday is full of opportunities, support, and flow. As best as you can, allow that -- and see if there is anything that needs your attention in regards to your health, well-being or daily routines.

Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Sunday. We might feel confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money -- so it's best to wait until this transit is over, before making big moves in these areas.

If you choose to make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships -- at this time -- it's likely you will not see things as they truly are.

We are actually being asked to have faith, go with the flow; to let our intuition guide us in money and love -- if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 6 days -- it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 9-15 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Friday (June 3rd) is a big day! The Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurusuntil 11pm EDT (see Wednesday late evening for details)

Friday very early morning, a Sun/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 2:37am EDT. We started to feel this opposition from Monday on, it is strong until next week Monday (June 6th). We are called to balance our day-to-day mental processes and "conditioning" with a focus towards the larger meaning of things.

As best as you can, give yourself permission to connect to your mental processes with curiosity and playfulness, and approach your communications with others in the same fashion -- while at the same time, taking responsibility for your expectations and views about life.

We may experience a lack of energy or confidence this week. We need to "buckle down"; this could be perceived as limitations that arise from people or circumstances. Communication blocks and a general feel of slowdown are also possible.

Paradoxically though, we can also take this time to sort out our life, sift out belief structures that are out of date, and thereby become more truthful to ourselves. Go slow and steady with this, as pushing too hard will backfire; ask yourself: Would you rather be "right" or happy?

Think back to Nov. 29th, 2015,when the Sun was conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius. What seeds were planted back then? Where have you been expanding your horizons? As you develop more awareness of what you have (and haven't) accomplished since then, ask these follow-up questions: Do you like what you see? Is there more room for integration? How can you bring 5% more awareness to your goals, your accomplishments or lack thereof?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

As Friday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us -- especially around our conditioning. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

Friday at 7:02pm EDT, we enter a 4-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:01pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your desire for comfort and security with your desire for a deeper emotional connections with yourself and others. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday evening ahead of time ;-)

Friday evening, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 8:47pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until next week Monday (June 6th). This might be a time of relationship tests or trials: we may not be attracting the things and people that we want in our lives -- at least, not as easily as we were before this transit.

This can be eye-opening -- a signal to work on improving the "ways" (as well as the "things") that we bring to partnerships or to our finances.

Doubts could be raised now. We could be withdrawing or holding back a little, as we attempt to figure out what we want and need -- and what we can give. We are working towards ridding ourselves of self-delusion when it comes to partnerships, socializing and finances. In the process, we might feel disdain for inauthentic interactions and resent "going through the motions" on a social and/or mental level.

Our goal is to find more meaningful connections to others. Relationships built on weak foundations may not survive, but other relationships can be improved and strengthened. Financial matters might be stressful for the time being, which forces us into a position of conservation and moderation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this -- as well as on an external level with others.

Think back to Jan. 8th, 2016,when Venus was conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius. With Venus opposing Saturn now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then. So: What were the seeds? What are the fruits?

In other words: What has emerged since January, in regards to who and what you value? You are also now more aware of what you have (and haven't) learned since then... Do you like what you see? Is there room for more integration in this area too?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Friday late evening, at 11:01pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Sunday evening. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible; as long as we don't get bored, we're good.

Saturday (June 4th) is also a big day! The Moon remains in lively, curious Gemini all day (see Friday late eveningfor details).

Saturday morning, a challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 6:57am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday (June 7th). This aspect says “stretch and grow!”. There is a feeling of enthusiasm and excitement in the air; it almost seems as if we could move mountains.

Awareness is key: Be alert for undue optimism, that could lead to overextending or over-promising: As best as you can, stay connected to what's real — avoid exaggerations, especially when it comes to your daily routines and well-being.

This is a time when we can accomplish quite a bit -- if we don't let ourselves get too overwhelmed by all the thoughts and possibilities flooding our consciousness. As best as you can, take it one moment at a time, staying grounded in reality.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces? If so, you will be more aware of this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Saturday evening, a challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 8:49pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until Monday night. This aspect asks that we question our most fundamental beliefs and conditioning around money and relationships.

We have the opportunity here to grow beyond our understanding of what our values get us. Issues connected to love, relationships, and whatever is most valuable to us, can seem overwhelming at this time. This is because we have a tendency to overindulge or over-promise.

We mean well, because we are feeling quite optimistic at this time -- but we may underestimate how much time we actually have, or how good a fit something actually is. Overspending, overindulging and over-promising could be connected to this aspect as well (as could making assumptions in our relationships); as best as you can, bring a non-judgmental awareness to any such tendencies.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Pisces or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Saturday late evening, at 11pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 15 degrees of Gemini. This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. With the New Moon in curious, quick-witted, chatty, versatile Gemini, we are asked to connect to others and share our hearts out for this New Moon cycle.

This is a "busy" energy, with a focus on communicating and collecting information; we are invited to look at our mental programming and conditioned mind. What thought structures need to go? Which would we like to create? To get a more detailed understanding, watch my New Moon video on the subject; I will post it on Wednesday evening.

Gemini is asking us to stay in movement, and at the same time, think about all that we need to know to move forward. It also calls on us to share ourselves. Here are some questions for this New Moon: If I listened to my inner dialog about relationships and what I value, what would I overhear? What is my mind saying to me that might no longer serve my evolution? What needs to change?

Saturn in Sagittarius still remains the focus points of a T-square with Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces... This has been going on for a while now -- those of you who also watch my videos may recall that I've been mentioned this in my videos since March -- if you'd like a refresher, you might like to go back and re-watch my last couple of videos.

Since this New Moon falls exactly into the "empty leg" of that T-square, we are invited to remain curious, open-minded and adaptable for the next 28 days. These planetary positions create a powerful Grand Cross, one that invites us to stretch (and grow) beyond what we currently believe ourselves to be, what we believe to be true, how we connect to our inner and outer dialogue, how we understand life, how we apply ourselves in life!

Do you perceive things as they really are? Where do you tend to make assumptions? Where do you have rigid expectations?

What might be possible if you approached things with a "beginner's mind" -- dropping all the "filters" through which you normally see yourself/others/life? Could you trust your own inner truth about "right and wrong" without getting rigid -- in other words, without imposing that "truth" on others? Could you remain curious about other people's "truths"?

Neptune in Pisces, part of this Grand Cross, is stationing at the time of the New Moon -- it's getting ready for it's 5-month retrograde phase -- and its energy is more exalted.

This invites us to bring a good dose of compassion and unconditional love to everything we encounter around our thinking patterns, beliefs, and ways of communicating with ourselves and others.

This is an opportunity to go beyond what we have done in the past and experiment with new ways of using our mind. For example, meditation and mindfulness exercises can actually "rewire our brain". How might you use these very powerful tools?

One very powerful effect of meditation is to loosen our "identification" with every thought that pops up -- the sense that "I am my thoughts, so I have to believe whatever my mind says". What might happen if we at least paused for a moment before speaking and allowed ourselves to be with our feelings (rather than escaping our feelings by engaging our mind)?

Neptune also teaches us about oneness and acceptance. What if you were guided at every turn, supported through every challenge, loved and accepted fully no matter what? What if you were already forgiven?

What daily practice might connect you to the subtle voice of your intuition? What if you trusted the flow of life, just for this now moment, just to see what might happen?

Mercury (the ruler of Gemini) is in Taurus at the time of the New Moon, opposing Mars in Scorpio, inviting us to set healthy boundaries for ourselves. We are ready to speak up about anything out of alignment with our core values -- perhaps more quickly than we meant to -- and in particular, speak a firm “No” when it is the loving thing to do for ourselves.

When it comes to learning, we'll prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb -- we simply process information better when we can personalize it and attach it to the practical world. We'll likely find ourselves asking "what use is it to me?" quite a bit ;-)

We may also need to complete a process, something that came up between April 14th and May 22nd, while Mercury moved through its shadow phase and later retrograde. Think back and see what showed up back then: What conversations and thoughts did you have around self-value and what's of importance to you? What have you discovered since?

Venus in Gemini makes a mutual reception with Mercury in Taurus. This gives us the opportunity to connect mind and heart. Venus also aligns with the New Moon, inviting us to let ourselves be guided by our heart for the next 28 days. Collaboration and fairness are preferred at this time.

Just as when the Full Moon occurred two weeks back, we still have the Grand Trine in place between Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto;it’s in the earth signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. This combo provides a flow of practical approaches, a wonderful opportunity to connect to what we feel most passionate about, and what empowers us and others long-term.

What are you manifesting? When you look at that, what do you discover about your relationship to the physical world? What might you want to let go of, that is not supporting that relationship? What if you connected to the physical world in a healthy way?

The spiritual quest of Gemini is the development of perception, thought, and communication. With each new thought or memory, new connections are created in the brain; the more we think a particular thought, the deeper the "pathways" are worn.

What thoughts and mental processes might be leading us into limiting places and lower vibrations? How can we lovingly embrace our imperfections and limitations? What about those of others?

To sum it all up: We are definitely invited to stretch and grow this month!

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 13-17 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

You have 48 hours after the time of the New Moon to write some powerful intentions for this Lunar month — so this month, the best time to set intentionswould be any time between 11pm Saturday late evening and 12:47pm EDT on Sunday early afternoon. Then again on Sunday from 11:41pm until 11pm EDT Monday late evening.

Sunday (June 5th): the Moon remains in lively, curious Gemini until 11:41pm EDT (see Friday late evening for details).

Sunday at 12:47pm EDT, we enter a 11-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:41pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and share your future vision with them. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Sunday ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 11:41pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.

Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

A head's up for next Monday (June 6th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Sunday late evening for more details). In the late afternoon, a Sun/Venus alignment in almost 17 degrees of Gemini becomes exact at 5:39pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from May 28th on; it will be strong until June 14th. Also on Monday, the Neptune station intensifies until June 21st. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
