Last week was filled with love, beauty, friendship, deep connections, fun. Even though I hadn't gotten enough sleep the past couple of weeks, I was able to keep going with a smile on my face. I am sure the Mars station helped boost my energy. I could also feel the Jupiter/Pluto connection quite strongly, especially over the weekend -- lots of transformative, intense energies that came up and out -- clearing the deck and creating a feeling of rebirth.
This week's headline items: Chiron comes to a halt on Monday morning, as it begins its 5-month retrograde phase... The last Quarter Moon in Aries becomes exact on Monday afternoon... On Wednesday evening, we have Mercury changing signs from Gemini to Cancer and Mars coming to a halt, ending its 2.5-month retrograde phase andlast but not least... On Friday, early in the morning, the Balsamic Moon phase begins (bringing us closer to the next New Moon).
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday very early morning (for a little over 2 hours), Thursday evening (for almost 11.5 hours), and Saturday late evening (for a little over 9.5 hours).
Monday (June 27th) at 3:08am EDT, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive.
Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon, exact later in the day.
Monday at 7:10am EDT, Chiron comes to a halt in 25 degrees of Pisces. As you may recall from last week, Chiron is the wounded healer; in Pisces, it brings our attention towards our emotional and spiritual wounds. This is the beginning of Chiron's 5-month retrograde phase, that lasts until Nov. 30th. Until then, we are getting a chance to connect to our wounds and insecurities on a more internal level.
We may need to put our emotional or spiritual wounds under the magnifying glass; while they are there, take a closer look at how you can bring compassion and understanding to them. What might you discover about those wounds, if you really looked? How could others benefit from your discoveries?
Do you have your Ascendent, your Career point or any of your personal planets in 23-27 degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If you do, you will probably feel the effects of this station more than others.

Monday in the late morning, a harmonious Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:53am EDT.We started to feel this aspect from last Friday night on; it will be strong until this Wednesday night (June 29th). This aspect makes for a very creative and beautiful time; music, art, the movies and the theatre are in high demand. Spiritual endeavors are easily shared with others.
We connect to others in a compassionate, sweet, loving way; we are more likely to feel romantic. We might not have the best boundaries in place, when it comes to relationships, socializing or money... but we sure as hell know how to enjoy ourselves.
Our intuition and instincts are strongly supported here too. It becomes easier to trust others and open up to them; we give ourselves permission to receive love and emotional support. As best as you can, let all feelings flow.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-15 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).
Monday in the early afternoon, a challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 12:25pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday night on; it will be strong until Tuesday night (June 28th). This combination might bring up some insecurities in our verbal, in-person or email interactions.
That said, this could also be an opportunity for healing; we are energized to move past harsh criticism of ourselves or others, towards more loving and compassionate structures for thinking and communicating. As best as you can, stretch yourself -- and be open to bringing love and understanding to it all (and that includes you) :-)
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or any personal planets in 22-28 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
And lastly, Monday at 2:19pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 6.5 degrees of Aries becomes exact. The Moon in enthusiastic, fast-pasted Aries makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in introverted, feeling-oriented Cancer. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or transformation. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon (exact on July 4th).
During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be June 4th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-9 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Tuesday (June 28th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Monday very early morning for details).
Today (Tuesday) might be quite an electric, energetic (nervous) day for us. We may need to make some adjustments and think outside the box: Flexibility and adaptability is key today!
Wednesday (June 29th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 6:03am EDT (see Monday very early morning for details).
Wednesday at 3:46am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 2 hours, until 6:03am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to go after your goals by connecting to others and sharing about yourself.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. If you are usually awake at this time, you may also want to plan your early morning ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday morning, at 6:03am EDT, the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Friday morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.
Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)
Wednesday evening, at 7:24pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from curious, quick-witted Gemini into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until July 13th.
When Mercury journeys through Cancer we prefer quality to quantity in terms of information. We think, speak, and take in information on a deeper, more instinctive level. We have less interest in the universal and more in the personal: what directly affects us and our loved ones? Our thoughts are colored by our emotions; it might be more challenging to be objective. Ask yourself: Is this really about me?
This is particularly true if you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo. You will feel a stronger need to connect to family or the people in your life that feel familiar and safe. You may also feel the need to talk about the past and work through past conditionings. If you are a Cancer Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you will be more chatty for this time period.
Also on Wednesday evening, at 7:38pm EDT, Mars comes to a halt at 23 degrees of Scorpio — changing directions after its 2.5 month retrograde phase. We were called to reassess all of our beliefs and deeper connections to ourselves and others -- and also to look at what we’ve been doing since mid February. What have you discovered since then? What needs renegotiating or readjusting?
We are now ready to move forward with anything that began between mid February and late June -- and we have plenty of energy to do what needs to be done.
Is your Sun sign or Ascendant in Aries? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this station.
Thursday (June 30th): the Moon remainsin steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday morning for details).
Thursday at 8:19pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 11.5 hours, until 7:44am EDT (Friday morning). Use this intuitive time to find a balance between your need for material safety/physical "wants”, versus your desire for deep emotional connections to others — as best as you can, allow for both.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday evening and Friday early morning ahead of time ;-)
Thursday late evening, a Venus/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 11:32pm EDT. We started to feel this opposition from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Sunday morning. We are called to create a balance between our desire for harmony with people we care about, versus our desire to bring a deep focus and passionate approach to long-term commitments.
We can learn a lot about ourselves through relationships during this opposition. We may not always like what we see though: We may glimpse our "darker" side -- and it will be critical that we recognize it as our own "stuff", rather than projecting it onto a partner or family member. Sexual intensity or attraction can be a part of this transit too -- as can fear of losing loved ones or of being abandoned.
We have a deeply lodged need to establish a sense of self-worth at this time; we may start to argue or lay blame in order to feel better about ourselves. We need to be less concerned with how we "appear" to others and more with how we actually "are".
All of this could bring up deep feelings in connection with others. There also might be a tendency to confuse "Love" and "Power" right now; as best as you can, be true to yourself and come from an open heart, rather than a scared one.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 13-20 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Friday (July 1st): theMoon remainsin steady, peaceful Taurus and VoC until 7:55am EDT (see Wednesday morning and Thursday evening for details).
Friday very early morning, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Monday morning, when the New Moon in Cancer becomes exact (…more on that next week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.
Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
Friday morning at 7:44am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Sunday morning. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.
Friday afternoon, an opportune Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 3:18pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on and it will be strong until Sunday morning. We have an opportunity to grow in our social and personal relationships at this time. Humor and caring play a big role in our interactions with others.
We can call upon tolerance, optimism and co-operation when dealing with loved ones now. Financially speaking, things are "on the up"; we may have opportunities now to expand our pocketbooks -- if we make sounds decisions that are in the interest of the whole family.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Cancer, Virgo, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Saturday (July 2nd): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Friday morning for details).
Saturday late morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 9:52am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Friday morning on; and it will be strong until Sunday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
We focus on the truth of the matter. We could be hindered by doubts, feelings of insecurity, a lack of self-confidence.
It’s also worthwhile to look at how our beliefs about life are connected to where we come from -- our roots. As best you can, slow down, but don’t come to a halt: Just because you're not sure about something, doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a longer look -- in other words, don’t impatiently discard things when you’re unsure what to do about them.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 10-12 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Saturday at 11:43pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 9.5 hours, until 9:20am EDT (Sunday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, so you can share ideas with them -- especially around projects that would create a better future.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)
Sunday (July 3rd): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini until 9:20am EDT (see Friday morning for details).
Sunday morning, a harmonious Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 7:01am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on and it will be strong until Wednesday of next week. This aspect could be tremendously supportive when it comes to dissolving what no longer serves us.
We are feeling especially intuitive during this time. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will lift our spirits. We are more likely to see matters (and people) from a different perspective -- one that allows for differences and even finds beauty in them. Our capacity for compassion (both with ourselves and with others) is quite strong as well.
Creativity is at an all-time high, as our imagination runs in full gear; any spiritual or creative endeavors that are started during this time will do very well.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 9-15 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Sunday at 9:20am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Tuesday early afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.
Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.
Sunday is also the last day before the New Moon in Cancer becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.
Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.
A head's up for next Monday (July 4th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Sunday morning for more details). The New Moon in almost 13 degree of Cancerbecomes exact at 7:01am EDT. A somewhat challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 9:42pm EDT. We will started to feel this aspect from Monday morning on and it will be strong until Tuesday evening of next week. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
