Ready for your Consciousness Upgrade? -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Aug. 29th - Sun., Sept. 4th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week, I had a joyous time in New York, reconnecting with old friends, clients, and lovely people in general. Might this be related to last week's Venus/Jupiter conjunction? I would say: well, yes... of course!

I also encountered some misunderstandings and misinterpretations... and I would guess this was connected to the Mercury Station :-) I am definitely also feeling the Eclipse energies quite strongly... inviting me to remain flexible and grounded, as much as possible -- and that truly sounds easier than actually doing it ;-)

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my recent Chiron-workshop: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

This week's headline items: Venus changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Monday late morning; Mercury comes to a halt on Tuesday morning; the Solar Eclipse in Virgo becomes exact on Thursday early morning; the Mercury Station ends on Sunday.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very early morning (for almost 2 hours), Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (for 11 hours), Friday early evening (for a little over 2.5 hours), and Sunday evening (for 12 hours).

Monday (August 29th) at 2:23am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts almost 2 hours, until 4:11am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to take a break and think about what you need and what nurtures you most. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Right after the Moon VoC starts, a Mercury/Venus alignment in 28 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 2:32am EDT.  We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday on (Aug. 25th), it will be strong until this Wednesday. This is an excellent time to start sharing about art projects (or anything arts-related —visual arts perhaps) and any teaching endeavors. This alignment indicates an ability to communicate from the heart -- and in fact, connecting to people we have an affinity with is essential.

We want to feel able to connect in harmonious, peaceful manner and communicate on an equal footing. We tend to have a strong sense of fairness at this time, and want to be in touch with people who meet us half-way. In general, we are very agreeable and enjoy socializing. We also thoroughly enjoy the written and spoken word -- literature, wordplay, puns, moving conversations -- especially if connected to our health and wellbeing.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, or 0-1 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini or Taurus  (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)

Monday at 4:11am EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leowhere it will journey until next week Wednesday late morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-) So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart with this and all other things... be honest, authentic.

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Monday at 10:07pm EDT, Venus changes signs from detail-oriented, practical Virgo to harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Sept. 23rd. With this placement, we prefer to show kindness, evenhandedness, and a willingness to make our relationships work.

We love to communicate about our relationships at this time and we prefer entering into equal partnerships. During this time, we can develop an idealized view of what a relationship "should" look like. We do our best to treat others fairly for the next three and a half weeks, seeking the middle ground. We are more likely to appreciate the arts, dance, beauty, entertainment and romance.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you will feel more connected to your inner harmony for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to others in an equal setting. If you are a Libra Sun- or Rising-sign you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.

Tuesday (Aug. 30th): the Moon remains in fun-loving, attention-seeking Leo all day (see Monday early morning for details).

Mercury comes to a still stand in 29 degrees of Virgo, on Tuesday at 9:04am EDT (starting its 3-week retrograde phase), slowing things down tremendously today and tomorrow. Give yourself extra time to go to work this morning or to get things done. If you are traveling today, just simply go with the flow… you'll get there... eventually ;-) The same is true when it comes to all our technological devices…

This retrograde phase will last until Sept.22nd. People worry about Mercury retrogrades, but it’s important not to stop one's life during these times. As mentioned above, certain things may take longer -- but a retrograde gives us a chance to resolve things that have been keeping us from living our lives in a more wholesome way -- especially things that came up within the past three weeks. Take time to investigate your own thought processes: What's not working smoothly in your life? What if you got really clear about that?

For the next three weeks, we get a chance to explore our inner narrative -- to connect from within to what we say to ourselves on a daily basis. It's also a chance to readdress communications with others, learning experiences, or conditioning from the past. This is an internal process -- a chance to honor and re-organize our thoughts, working from the inside to the outside.

As always: with Mercury retrograde, always read the small print -- and re-read a contract before signing (if you have to sign something) -- or ask another person for a second opinion... Basically, during these periods, it's best to be aware of any details that we might have overlooked... and check in with our intuition... and stay open to the possibility of renegotiation or adjustments, down the line!

In general, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reevaluating and reorganizing. This is especially true for our thought patterns and decisions (particularly those made in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the retrograde) -- but it's true of our lives in general: we can reach a clearer understanding as to what works, and what doesn’t, and what needs to change. Reconnecting with old friends, clients and family members (especially siblings) is also favored at this time …

Mercury also represents our day-to-day mind; this too is experienced more internally at this time. When it comes to communication, make sure that what you say, write and hear is the same as the intended meaning -- and use the spell-checker ;-)

Another thing to take into consideration: how does each Mercury retrograde phase affect your personal birth chart. Do you have any personal planets that Mercury will align with during its retrograde journey? The houses of your chart each represent different areas of your life -- which of the houses in your chart is affected by this retrograde?

As with any retrograde, some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. That will be true if any of the following apply to you: Gemini or Virgo as your Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- or your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 14-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Wednesday (Aug. 31st): the Moon remains in fun-loving, attention-seeking Leo until 11:22am EDT (see Monday early morning for details).

Tuesday night/Wednesday every early morning at 12:20am we enter an 11-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:22am EDT. Use this intuitive time to socialize with friends or like-minded people and express your unique spark. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday at 11:22am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Friday evening, turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Wednesday  is also the last day before the Solar Eclipse, the first of two powerful Eclipses within the next 2 weeks. There is some potent energy coming our way; it would be wise to prepare ourselves to be transformed by it, allowing for our consciousness upgrade to be installed.

This is a good time to slow things down and go within. For many of us, this will be a stretch, as we want to do just the opposite: jump the gun, get started with something new, act impulsively, etc. This is quite common right before a Solar Eclipse. As best as you can, stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions and connect to your inner wisdom.

It comes down to this: just for now and just as best as you can... could you simply allow what is... to be? Could you simply be the “observer” until the upgrade is complete?

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing things. The last North Node Eclipse cycle in Virgo was in September of 1997. Think back to that time (if you can :-) — what did you start around then? How could you complete it or move to the new level?

Think back to late Sept. 2015 and March 2016 -- the time of the previous Solar Eclipse in Virgo and the last Solar Eclipse in Pisces. What did you start around then? How could you complete it?

Thursday (Sept. 1st): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Wednesday late morning for details).

Thursday at 5:03am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 9 degrees of Virgo; this marks the beginning of both of a new Moon- and Eclipse-cycle.

Eclipses take place approximately every six months; this Solar Eclipse will bring a consciousness upgrade, and a shift that will unfold until the next Eclipse becomes exact in late Feb.2017. If you’d like more details, I recommend also watching my video on the subject ;-)

Solar Eclipses always end one 19-year cycle and begin another; they reveal new pathways and possibilities — and grant us an opportunity to take what we have learned to the next level.

The Sun and Moon are also connected to one of the Moon Nodes -- in this case, the North Node -- and North Node Eclipses help us move towards a new exploration of an energy that promotes Soul-evolution.

The last Solar Eclipse in 9 degrees of Virgo took place on Sept. 1st, 1997. Think back to that time: were there any major endings and beginnings? Naturally, things will not play out in an identical manner this time around, but there might well be a feeling of resonance... Those of us who have Natal planets within 5 degrees of the Eclipse will experience more dramatic changes than others (more on that later…)

With this extra-powerful New Moon in detail-oriented, practical Virgo, we have 5.5 months to learn about being of service. We can also expect to learn more about what it means to strengthen our focus on improving daily routines, to get organized, and to take care of any health matters.

Since we experienced a Solar Eclipse in Virgo last September, this is a good time to see how far you have come in those areas of your life since then. What did you discover? What needs more attention?

This will also be a great time to begin new projects that demand attention to detail, list-making, and taking pride in “small" accomplishments. Some examples of how this could play out: We could start a new health regimen, perhaps by paying close attention to our diet -- we could also set up specific routines that help us manage our lives in constructive and mindful ways.

This is all about handling the “nitty-gritty" details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion, so that we can free our minds of clutter. What would clear the decks? Another way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo for the next 5.5 months: As best as you can, recognize that humility, self-improvement, and being of service bring you closer to your inner divinity and your Soul's path.

Mercury (the ruler of Virgo) is retrograde in its own sign at the time of the Eclipse; its energy is therefore experienced more internally. We feel better when we are not pressured into making quick decisions. We are invited to revisit any issues that would benefit from more clarity.

What in your life needs revisiting? What calls out for your close attention? How might you reorganize your daily routines or health practices? Where have you not been able to make clear decisions? Where do you need more information?

Mercury also aligns with Jupiter in Virgo and makes an opposition to Chiron in Pisces. As you may recall from my last video, we are invited to go beyond the details and put our trust in our healing process -- what might be possible if you looked from more than one point of view?

We are also being asked to balance two apparently "opposing" needs: on the one hand, the need for organization and practical improvements in our lives; on the other, the need for emotional and spiritual healing.

The word “heal” comes from the same root as the word “whole” -- healing reunites what was separated, through acceptance and integration. We are being invited to take a more "holistic" approach to our day-to-day functioning. What cries out to be made whole? What if compassion and understanding were the perfect tools to do that? What if we simply embraced our imperfections as "perfect"?

This Solar Eclipse is also making an opposition to Neptune in Pisces, calling on us to balance understanding the facts with heeding our intuitive knowingness. How can we best connect to the subtle messages of body and soul? What would it look like if we allowed the mind to be in service to those subtle messages?

Saturn and Mars in Sagittarius are still the focal point of a T-square involving Neptune, the Sun, the Moon and the Moon Nodes. This is asking us to find creative solutions and connect to our own "inner authority" around what we believe to be true about ourselves, about life, and about what is true or false in general.

The best way to achieve this is by checking our inner dialog and looking realistically at our conditioning from the past, our attitudes towards life, ourselves, others, society, etc.

This can start with a set of simple questions: What is true right now? What works? How is that different from what was true 10 or 20 years ago? How can we release "old" dogmas or "waiting to be saved"? What role does guilt play in our perception of life? Feel free to also watch my last video on the Full Moon in Aquarius on this subject

The message of this Solar Eclipse is loud and clear: When I change my perspective and beliefs, aligning them with who I am now, I can overcome anything -- I have the strength to do what it takes, be a responsible being in my own right, and keep my mind and heart open in every moment of now... no matter what shows up.

Most of all, during Eclipse season, allow for new templates to “download”. Eclipses can bring a feeling of uncertainty, because we don't get all the information we need to make informed decisions until after Eclipse Season ends on Sept.30th.

For the next four weeks, refrain from starting anything brand-new because you feel anxious or uneasy -- if new things emerge organically that's perfect, but stay away from forcing anything or pushing an agenda.

We are moving to the next level of our Soul's evolution. As best as you can, stay centered and grounded from within, until Sept. 30th. Flexibility helps, as does focusing on your breath, best of all is becoming the observer of the emotional and mental "body". Remember: this will not last forever -- in four weeks, the downloads are completed ;-) Trust that all is well and moving you exactly where you need to go.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 4-14 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this extra-powerful New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Regular readers may have noticed that I don’t mention setting intentions for the coming month, because with a Solar Eclipse we want to wait 48 hours, as the energy of an Eclipse is quite intense and we want to wait until the energy settles before setting our intentions.

On Saturday morning though, I will talk about setting some powerful intentions for the next 5.5 months -- and give you the very best times for doing so :-)

Thursday late eveninga challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 11:22pm EST. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. We're asked to stretch and grow beyond what we have known ourselves to be -- we are urged out of our comfort zone, towards a higher truth with ourselves and others.

Find creative ways to honor your well-being and your desire for going above and beyond for your long-term goals. Allow your mind to be clear and calm even if life puts up roadblocks or throws curveballs. Simplify daily routines as much as you can.

What if you simply knew that you could handle whatever shows up?

Would you rather have your old programming... or more clarity? Would you rather have inner and outer clutter, or inner and outer clarity?

Where do you need more information?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Friday (Sept. 2nd): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 8:55pm EDT (see Wednesday late morning for details).

Friday early afternoon, a Sun/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 12:38pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. Having a balance between logic and intuition -- between what we know and what we feel -- is essential at this time. We need to gain clarity over our dreams and come to understand that we can only improve our current situation through forgiveness and love.

The mind will play an important role during this time: Provided they make sense to you, choices that connect you to your heart will help you succeed. It's also important to give up being "right" and thereby allow flow. As best as you can, trust your intuition and practice self-compassion ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-14degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or SagittariusIf so, you will feel this opposition quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Friday afternoon, a Mercury/Jupiter alignment in 28.5 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 1:18pm EDT; due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we started to feel this aspect back on Aug. 18th -- and it will remain strong until Monday of next week (Sept. 5th)

This is the second time within the last 10 days that this aspect has become exact. This time around, Mercury is already moving retrograde, bringing a more internal feel to this alignment. It gives us a chance to reexamine our approach toward wellness, health, daily routines and work. Is there anything that needs to be readdressed that came up for you last week? Is your inner dialog about those things creating more clarity or more stress?

This alignment also brings optimism and a tendency to talk and think more. It favors writing lists and prioritizing daily routines, submitting applications and forms, and test-taking.

We can more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and find it easier to bring wholeness and order into our daily lives. There is a sense of mental expansion; we see our world as a place of constant adventure and personal growth.

We are optimistic and enthusiastic -- and things tend to go well as a result -- it's all about thinking big and planning it out. What if expanding our conception of self, well-being, and daily contribution to others helped us be more consistent? What if that helped us manifest our desires?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, or 0-2 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer? Or perhaps your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly.

Friday at 6:13pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 2.5 hours, until 8:55pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to take the bigger view on your health routines (and daily routines in general). Enjoy looking at the systems that you have in place to make routines more efficient, both at home and at work.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday evening ahead of time ;-)

Friday at 8:55pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Monday morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Saturday (Sept. 3rd): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Friday evening for details).

Saturday morning, is also the best time to start setting our powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse Intentions. Like I already mentioned on Thursday, with a Solar Eclipse it is best to wait 48 hours after the Eclipse has been exact before setting any intentions, as the energy of an Eclipse is quite intense and we want to wait until the energy settles before setting our intentions.

As always, we also want to avoid any Moon void of course (VoC) phases. So, this time around, the best and most potent time -- for setting our intentions -- is today (Saturdayearly morningfrom 5:03am EDT until Sunday (Sept. 4th) at 8:30pm EDT.

Make them powerful: They cover the next five-and-a-half months. If possible, align them with the Solar Eclipse energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the Solar Eclipse ;-)

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), feel free to join my facebook Fanpage or follow me on twitter. I will be posting reminders on Saturday and Sunday, to let you know when it is time to set your intentions ;-) For more details on how to set Intentions, click here

Sunday (Sept. 4th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Friday evening for details).

Sunday at 8:30pm EDT, we enter a 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that lasts until 8:38am EDT (Monday morning). Use this intuitive time to balance your need for equal and harmonious connection, with your drive toward personal visions and ideas.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday evening and Monday morning ahead of time ;-)

A head's up for next Monday (Sept. 5th): At 8:38am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Wednesday evening of next week. Because we are in Eclipse season, As best as you can, follow through on projects you have already running, rather than making a brand-new beginning. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Like the preceding one, last week felt like a whirlwind... The main difference was my increased awareness around self-care. The Mercury/Jupiter conjunction helped keep my inner dialog very optimistic and even enthusiastic -- which helped a great deal.

On the day of the Full Moon, I experienced a transformative session with one of my coach/healers. I reached a whole new understanding and perspective around my emotional and mental conditioning from childhood. It was a really powerful healing process for my wounded inner child and adult Self. Thank you, Terry, for your loving guidance! I'm sure it helped that we had a Chiron opposition to Mercury and Jupiter that day :-)

We also had a fantastic Forecasting Forum last week, on the day of the Full Moon! Many thanks to everyone who was able to join live! If you are planning to watch this Forum as a recording be sure to watch until the very end, as we addressed a really great question from Tatia about the Mercury Retrograde right before the very end of the webinar ;-)To purchase your recording, click here

This week's headline items: On Monday, we enter Eclipse season, Mars moves beyond 8 degrees of Sagittarius (ending the shadow phase) and the Sun changes signs from Leo to Virgo. On Tuesday, Mars squares the degree of Sept. 1st's Eclipse. On Wednesday, late in the evening, the last Quarter Moon in Gemini becomes exact. Mercury starts to slow down (station) on Thursday; Saturn once again moves direct and ends its station on Friday; and finally, the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Sunday evening.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 9.5 hours), Wednesday afternoon (for 4 hours), and Friday evening (for a little over 2.5 hours).

Monday (August 22nd):  the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 5:19pm EDT. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.

Monday early morning,a Mercury/Jupiter alignment in almost 26 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 5:05am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week Thursday on (Aug.18th), and due to the upcoming Mercury's retrograde phase it will be strong until Sept. 5th.

This alignment brings optimism and a tendency to talk and think more. It favors writing lists and prioritizing daily routines, submitting applications and forms, and test taking.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius? Or perhaps your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly.

Monday at 7:48am EDT, we enter a 9.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC); it lasts until 5:19pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect and share your ideas with like-minded people. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new -- instead, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan this period ahead of time ;-)

Monday early afternoon at 12:38pm EDT,the Sun changes signs from playful, vital Leo into practical, detail-oriented Virgo. It will journey through Virgo until September 22nd. This time is best used for getting our lives in order and expressing ourselves in realistic, practical terms.

Adrressing your health (e.g., starting a new exercise or eating routine) might be just the thing within the next four weeks. Being of service and moving towards improving our living conditions are essential Virgo qualities. How might you be of service to others? What needs a little practical improvement?

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Virgo Sun-sign or Rising-sign. Virgo folks will feel extra confident and playful; Leo people are more aware of the details and more grounded in reality.

Monday at 5:19pm EDT, the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Wednesday evening. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing right now? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-)

Last but not least, also on Monday,we enter Eclipse season until Sept. 30th; for 7 - 10 days before and after an Eclipse, we are usually in uncharted territory: anything is possible and it's wise to expect the unexpected.  Feel free to watch my video about the upcoming Solar Eclipse

Anything brand-new (and I really mean brand, brand-new) started during this time will likely not pan out the way we thought it would, often because important information comes to light only after the New Moon that follows the last Eclipse. If possible, try to defer any major brand-new projects until after Sept.30th, when this Eclipse season is over. If something is beginning or ending in a way that seems organic… allow it to be.

Another Eclipse-related phenomenon: not only do Eclipses bring up uncertainty in us, they might also leave us nervous, anxious, unsettled and disoriented. As best as you can, observe your feelings and stay grounded in the "here and now". Connect to your intuition and inner wisdom; they will help carry you through this period. Remember: it's temporary and we are receiving an upgrade -- that's a good thing!

Just like upgrading a computer, you will get all the information you need, as soon as the upgrade is complete -- so as best you can, be patient. This does not mean that we need to drop everything; it just means it's wise to check in with your higher Self -- do this whichever way feels right to you ;-)

Tuesday (Aug. 23rd): theMoon remainsin steady, peacefulTaurusall day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Mars squares the degree of Sept. 1st's Solar Eclipse on Tuesday morning. This represents a turning point in our Soul’s journey. We are invited to actively change our perspective on daily work or health routines. Whatever comes up today in connection to work, personal projects, or personal explorations of any kind will need to be addressed over the next 5.5 months.

Wednesday (Aug. 24th) is a big day! (energetically speaking).TheMoon remainsin steady, peacefulTaurusuntil 7:40pm EDT (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday morning,a Mars/Saturn alignment in almost 10 degrees of Sagittariusbecomes exact at 7:26am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from August 19th on (last Friday); and it will be strong until Aug.27th (this Saturday). This is a message to take it slow and steady and bring some focus to our endeavors. The last Mars/Saturn cycle started in August 2014, in 18 degrees of Scorpio, it is now coming to an end; the new cycle will last until April 2018.

We need to learn to harness our enthusiasm and look at the reality of things. If you want to make progress right now, take it one step at a time, be sure to build a solid foundation before zooming ahead.

Given that this alignment is taking place in Sagittarius, we need to be aware of the stories we tell ourselves about life, others, and the world. We must recognize that our attitudes towards these things can help us achieve our goals just as much as our talents and ambition.

This is also therefore a great time to commit to a new project that is connected to the law, publishing, or learning (perhaps about other cultures or philosophies), provided that we completely believe in the project.

Those of us who have their Ascendent (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces will be most affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars rules Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Wednesday at 3:38pm EDT, we enter a 4-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 7:40pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to get organized, improve your daily routines and take care of your body. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday late afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday at 7:40pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatileGemini, where it will journey until Friday late evening. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way...

The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-) This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (which, I will talk about in a moment...)

Wednesday late evening,Venus/Chiron oppositionbecomes exact at 10:12pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until Friday night. This opposition asks us to create a balance between our emotional healing process and our relationships.

We may feel insecure around others at this time; we need to first heal our own deep fears of not being "good enough", learning to love ourselves -- and then seeing how we can meet our partners halfway. As best as you can, bring the gift of compassion, understanding and forgiveness to your own insecurities or feelings of unworthiness -- then gift that to others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 12-18 degrees of Virgo, Pisces,Sagittarius or Gemini ? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Wednesday at 11:41pm EDT,the last Quarter Moonin 2 degrees of Gemini will become exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Gemini earlier today. The Moon in curious, chatty Gemini makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in practical, detail- and service-oriented Virgo. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change. This Moon phase brings us closer to the upcoming Solar Eclipse (a powerful New Moon in Virgo) on Sept.1st.

During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing any projects begun around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be August 2nd -- rather than launching new ones. Since this is also the last Moon phase before the Solar Eclipse becomes exact, it also ends an Eclipse cycle; journeys begun around the time of the last Eclipse (March 8th), especially those connected to emotional or spiritual healing, are now coming to completion.

Given that: What calls for completion on your healing journey? Where have you experienced emotional or spiritual separation? Could you bring acceptance and integration to that? What have you discovered since March?

As best as you can, find kind and creative solutions for whatever comes up, whether internally or with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my recent Chiron-workshop: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

Thursday (Aug. 25th): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Wednesday evening for details).

Thursday morning,a somewhat challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 5:08am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will be strong until Thursday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

Learning to let go of the past means being willing to release relationships we have outgrown. Learning ways to abruptly alter our circumstances without emotional turmoil: This is the way Uranus’s energy urges us to grow. We need freedom within our relationships, not from them.

It's also time to reevaluate the ways we imprison ourselves in mindless routines and then rebel against them. While "Different" is not always "improved", change is essential to our evolutionary process.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-25 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Also on Thursday,Mercury starts to slow down (station). It’s getting ready to come to a halt next week Tuesday to start its 3-week retrograde phase (more on that next week). For the next 10 days (until Sept. 4th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready or travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in the following: 27-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, or 0 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn

Friday (Aug. 26th): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini until 11:06pm EDT (see Wednesday evening for details).

Thursday night/Friday very early morning,a challenging Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 2:38am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on, it will be strong until Tuesday of next week. This aspect is asking us to stretch ourselves, in order to resolve a tension between the things we want to go after, versus our feelings about a higher, spiritual calling. We may be chasing a dream... or a fantasy.

Ordinary life may seem drab and uninteresting to us right now. We tend to either over- or underestimate our own power and abilities. We want something that stirs our imagination: Some vision or ideal or dream to motivate us.

We have a strong urge to act out our fantasies or live out our dream -- and we have the energy now to DO that which others only talk or dream about; however we tend to feel scattered. As best as you can, slow down and listen to your intuition before aimlessly zooming ahead. Inspire yourself and others.

Most impacted by this aspect: those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 8-14 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini, or Virgo. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces)

Friday at 8:30pm EDT, we enter a 2.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:06pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. Make space both for connecting with others, and thinking about your daily routines or your health.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday evening ahead of time ;-)

Friday 11:06pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Monday early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Last but not least, also on Friday,Saturn ends its station and resumes its normal pace through the sky. What has come up in the last three weeks around long-term goals? What's the plan? Now is a good time to move forward with any realizations we have had over the last four months.

We’ve done a lot of internal work on what we want to manifest in the real world and where we want to make moves responsibly and authentically; we now have a chance to bring this to the outside world.

If you are Capricorn Sun-sign our Rising-sign (Ascendant), you will probably feel relief and a sense that you are able to move forward more smoothly and effectively.

Saturday (Aug. 27th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Friday late evening for more details).

Saturday evening,a Venus/Jupiter alignment in 27 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 6:29pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This connection brings a certain optimism to social and personal relationships, together with tremendous clarity and discernment.Humor plays a big role in our interactions with others, as do tolerance, open-mindedness and enthusiasm.

Financially speaking, things are "trending up" -- we may be able to plump up our pocketbooks. Best investment areas: health & wellness, anything to with cleaning, anything that requires precision and an eye for detail.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius, or Gemini? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Venus's movements and aspects)

Sunday (Aug. 28th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Friday late evening for more details).

Sunday evening, the Balsamic Moon phase begins. This lasts until Thursday morning, when the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Virgo becomes exact (…more on that next week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition.

For some of us, this might be a stretch, especially since we are in Eclipse season. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us.

What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

A head's up for next Monday (Aug. 29th): At 2:23am EDT,we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts almost 2 hours, until 4:11am EDT. Right after the Moon VoC starts, a Mercury/Venus alignment in 28 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 2:32am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until next week Tuesday. At 4:11am EDT,the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until next week Wednesday late morning. At 10:07pm EDT, Venus changes signs fromdetail-oriented, practical Virgo to harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Sept. 23rd. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week was filled to the max; luckily I also had lots of energy, thanks to Mars in Sagittarius... Listening to my body and intuition was not as easy this past week; my optimism and enthusiasm to keep going overrode the intuitive sense that I had to slow down and nurture myself.

The questions before me was: does it serve me to keep pushing my body/mind to the limits?  By the end of the week, exhaustion kicked in and I had to slow down, whether I liked it or not... Definitely could feel that Mars drawing closer to Saturn in Sagittarius.

One quick announcement before we dive into this week's forecast:

This week's headline items: Saturn, now direct, is still stationing (i.e. moving slowly) until Aug. 26th and the Full Moon in Aquarius becomes exact on Thursday morning.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday late evening (for a little over 9 hours), Thursday early morning (7 hours), and Saturday morning (7 hours).

Monday (August 15th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures. It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".

As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not?

Monday at 10:45pm EDT,we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 9 hours, until 7:52am EDT (on Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time to gain a new perspective on daily routines -- and allow new-found optimism to further long-term goals.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday night and Tuesday morning ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday (Aug. 16th) at 7:52am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Thursday early afternoon. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.

For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.

The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon -- it will be exact on Thursday morning -- more on that later...

Tuesday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 12:15pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday early morning on; it will be strong until Wednesday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

During this time, we tend to feel less confident about our self-expression; this may cause us to duck important issues, which in turn may bring up shame or guilt. As best as you can, be kind and compassionate with yourself -- healing happens best when we allow ourselves to be exactly where we are, even if it's not where we prefer to be.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-25 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules of Leo)

Tuesday late afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 4:23pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on; it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect connects us to a strong energy field -- physical and metaphysical. We feel alive, we want to create a better future for ourselves and others, and we want to have fun doing it. Watch out for messages from the Universe :-)

Originality and innovation come easy to us, as does connection with like-minded people. We can celebrate our idealism and unconventional approaches to life's challenges and and take advantage of them. What if you expressed what's unique about you without apologies -- maybe even with authenticity and pride? What might be possible with a bigger network of like-minded people?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 21-27 degrees of Leo, Aries or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel more blessed by this planetary connection than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Wednesday (Aug. 17th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday late evening, a harmonious Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 10:17pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until Saturday. This aspect brings a fruitful and rewarding period in our lives. We experience new depths of intimacy (with an existing or new partner), we learn to appreciate the important people in our lives, and our value system transforms and evolves.

This is likely an excellent period for finances as well. Work we've done might pay off, and we are able to manage our finances better, with more attention to detail, planning and strategy -- as well as the elimination of anything that no longer serves us. We might renew a commitment, or bring new, deeper and more intimate energy into a relationship under the influence of this aspect.

Our sexual lives might get a real boost now, as we tend to want to connect on a deeper level. We might find ourselves strongly attracted to someone, almost to the point of obsession. If this aspect connects with any of your personal planets, you might just meet the "love of your life".

One thing is for sure -- relationships experienced now are bound to be unforgettable. While this transit tends to signal new or strengthened relationships, any relationship that ends during this cycle may leave us feeling liberated.

Those of us who have their Ascendent (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn or Taurus will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Thursday (Aug. 18th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 12:34pm EDT (see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday morning, at 5:27am EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact in almost 26 degrees of Aquarius. As mentioned, the entrance of the Moon into Aquarius on Tuesday morning started the energetic build up towards the Full Moon. This Full Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius opposes the Sun in fun-loving, expressive Leo. Feel free to click here to watch my video about this Full Moon ;-)

For the next two weeks, we’ll be looking for balance and integration between two opposing energies; we are more aware than everthat something is out of alignment. The balance in question is between the energies of Leo and Aquarius

Leo symbolizes the expression of our own individual light, unique gifts, and inner spark of the divine. Aquarius, on the other hand, symbolizes the power of community and collaboration in bringing about a common vision. You could say that Leo represents our individual self-expression and Aquarius our vision for humankind. So how to achieve that balance?

Let's first take a look at what Saturn (the traditional ruler of Aquarius) is doing: At the time of the Full Moon, Saturn and Mars are almost completely conjunct in Sagittarius, squaring Neptune, Venus and the Moon Nodes (the latter represent the Soul's Journey).

This creates yet another T-square with Saturn and Mars as the focus point! We live in "interesting" times; things are changing rapidly, we are no longer able to "do" life the same way we did it 10 (or even 5) years ago. We are more aware of ourselves: our feelings, intuition, limitations,...

A lot of us are waking up to the reality that everything is interconnected -- and that life is meant to be lived from a wholesome place, that includes the heart, the head and all of who we are. This is a life that doesn't compartmentalize the uncomfortable; that embraces all shadows and imperfections. You might call it "Being Human" ;-)

Adaptability is key with this T-square! Living as though nothing has changed will limit us; so will being fearful and making up new "rules" that help us cope with all the changes. So what shall we do?

We are invited to be present to ourselves and life, and trust our inner guidance, our ability to handle whatever shows up -- learning to love and trust ourselves, life, higher guidance... no matter what occurs, no matter how much something seems not to fit, or not move fast enough, or not appear as we have imagined it.... Our inner world can no longer be ignored: it demands equality with our connection to the outer world.

What if you were 5% more connected to your inner world? If you could tune into the subtle messages of your body and heart, how might you do that?

Another lesson of this T-square: We are also invited to take responsibility for where we put our focus -- and to prioritize. Where is your focus? Is that working?

Where would healthy boundaries be? How might you implement them? Remember that healthy boundaries apply to "what's so" in the moment; they aren't rigid, blanket statements or rules for all future occurrences. They're about knowing/recognizing your own truth in the here-and-now, and allowing yourself to adjust that truth whenever required.

The more we can bring an open curiosity to our inner and outer dialog, the easier this process will be. For the next two weeks, ask yourself: Where do I still make assumptions without checking in -- either with the facts themselves, with my inner sensing, or with others? Look for chain reactions caused by attachment or aversion toward "truth".

Let's take a look at what Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius) is up to: Uranus in Aries trines the Sun in Leo and sextiles the Moon in Aquarius... this shows that each of us can be an agent of change who can make a difference and create a better future for all of us on this planet. It's important to realize that our future is in our hands -- and our vision calls on us to express our talents full out. Where would you shine your light, for it to be truly seen?

What’s more, when we join forces with like-minded people, we accomplish much more than we could on our own: Synergy and innovation arise when we come together to move towards a better future.

What are your special talents? Where are you being called to make a difference? Where might your people be found? What might be possible with a bigger network of like-minded people? What if making the world a better place were fun?

Jupiter and Mercury in Virgo oppose Chiron in Pisces. This is about embracing what's imperfect -- this applies to ourselves, others or the world -- and seeing it as part of a larger perfection. Our consciousness is our best path for turning past traumas and conditioning into possibilities for healing and integration.

What might be possible if your logical mind and intuitive sensing met up and worked together for a greater, more holistic approach to life? How do you relate to your inner critic? What role does compassion play in your daily routines?

This Full Moon shows that there is always work to be done -- and each one of us has the power to do it. All we have to do is look into our own hearts and see the strength and love lying there. As best as you can, trust that you have what it takes to make a difference for yourself and others.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 24-28 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Finally, also on Thursday, also at 5:27am EDT, we enter a 7-hour Moon void of course (VoC) (it lasts until 12:34pm EDT). Use this intuitive time to balance your need for life improvements with your desire for socializing and fun — might there be a way to combine them? As always with a Moon VoC, go with the flow as best you can, and stick to routine things ;-) You may also want to plan the first half of Thursday ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 12:34pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Saturday afternoon. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Friday (Aug. 19th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Thursday early afternoon for details).

Friday morning, a Mercury/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 8:07am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. We have a chance to balance our ability to think and speak clearly with our emotional wounding and insecurities.

This aspect may play out in a relationship, with each of you living out one side of the equation. We may experience guilt or shame around something we said or didn't say.

If you feel triggered by someone else, or vice versa: as best as you can, bring compassion and kindness towards both of you. Ask yourself: Is this connected to my past and/or upbringing? What if this were an opportunity to embrace my wounded inner child with love and kindness?

Do you have your Ascendent (or personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be most affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo).

Friday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until Saturday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

It can be hard to make decisions under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions, or our problem-solving ability. It may also be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate, leading to misunderstandings: we tend to feel uncomfortable -- a sort of "inner itchiness".

As best as you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you -- and forgive yourself if you make mistakes -- after all, you are human ;-)

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 23-25 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Saturday (Aug. 20th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 3:18pm EDT (see Thursday early afternoon for details).

Saturday at 8:21am EDT, we enter a 7-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 3:18pm EDT. We are being pulled in two very different directions: on the one hand, a need for silence, emotional oneness, and the feeling of creativity flowing through us; on the other, a desire to actively explore our daily routines and approach to wellness. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between those seemingly incompatible desires.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan.... ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 3:18pm EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Monday late afternoon.

Sunday (Aug. 21st): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Saturday afternoon for details). Sunday morning starts out harmoniously and with a commitment towards personal achievement and exploration.

Later (in the afternoon), we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions around personal desires and needs, versus our deep passion and focus on long-term goals. As best as you can, allow yourself to make space for both; flexibility and adaptability are key if we mean to move forward with our plans and projects...

A head's up for next Monday (Aug. 22nd): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 5:19pm EDT (see Saturday afternoon for details). We enter Eclipse season until Sept. 30th; a Mercury/Jupiter alignment becomes exact at 5:05am EDT; the Sun changes signs from Leo to Virgo at 12:38pm EDT; and the Moon moves into Taurusat 5:19pm EDT.More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
