Redefine Your Relationship to the Universe -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct. 31st - Sun., Nov. 6th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was physically very active... no doubt connected to that Mars/Uranus square we all felt... I could also feel rebellion in the air, especially when driving in the car, or speaking to others.

I also wanted to talk about the phrase "as best as you can", since a subscriber raised the issue last week. I know that I use this phrase quite a bit in my Weekly Forecasts and I wanted to talk about why I do. There are three main reasons:

Firstly, in my personal experience -- both with myself and my clients -- I have found that many of us push ourselves, or have an all-or-nothing attitude towards life.

I have also noticed that, with all the technology we are currently immersed in, things can get a little overwhelming.

Finally, sometimes even the simplest coaching question can sometimes be very daunting; this can depend on the person and their life situation.

And that's why I love the phrase "as best you can". It's meant to support us in not pushing so hard, being less perfectionistic and softening our approach to dealing with new ways of doing or perceiving things. We can always do something "as best as we can" -- that might not be very well at all -- but at least it's something. By taking off the pressure, it raises possibilities, and opens doors.

This week's headline items: Two of the major aspects this week involve Neptune. There was a Solar Eclipse back on Sept. 1st; on Tuesday and Wednesday, Neptune opposes the degree in which the eclipse occurred. The planet also starts to slow down ("station") on Wednesday, early in the evening. Saturday is the best time to start taking actions on our New Moon Intentions.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday late evening (for 12 hours), Thursday early morning (for 16.5 hours), and Sunday early morning (for 4 hours).

Monday (October 31st): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late morning. We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever... as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction -- it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It's therefore an excellent time to look at "old" fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity -- it's "in or out", "with us or against us", "love me or leave me". It can therefore be stormy -- a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we "work" the energies :-)

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward -- act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings -- no matter if they're "polite" or "timely". Feelings aren't facts, but they are information -- and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself -- and love thyself -- you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and that's ultimately what disempowers us and others.

If you haven't set your New Moon intentions yet, you still can -- in fact, any time Monday before 10:44pm EDT is an excellent time to do so. If you'd like some input on how to do that, check out this article -- you could also (re-)watch my New Moon video

Monday at 10:44pm EDT, when we enter a 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:43am EDT (Tuesday late morning). If you are awake during this intuitive time, try doing some research on projects that support long-term goals.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday night and Tuesday morning ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday (November 1st): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC until 10:43am EDT.

Neptune opposes the degree of Sept. 1st’s Solar Eclipse all day Tuesday, and on Wednesday until the late afternoon: We may experience something that resonates back to that time (most likely a health or work issue). We are now invited to bring compassion and intuitive thinking to our decision making process.

Something might resurface around an emotional or spiritual connection. We might also experience a feeling of separation from our intuitive body that brings up confusion or fear. What if you simply redefined your relationship to Spirit/Source/God/the Universe? What if that would bring more clarity to your daily routines? Could you bring 5% more compassion to yourself and others when being of service? What would "Love" do?

Tuesday early morning, a harmonious Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 4:17am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last last week Friday evening on, it will be strong until this Thursday evening. This aspect could be tremendously supportive when it comes to dissolving what no longer serves us.

Our intuition, imagination, and inspiration all seem to be "zeroed in". We go beyond "tolerance", to lovingly embrace differences in others, and give where it's needed with open hearts and hands. All of this also feeds in to any creative and spiritual endeavors that start around this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 6-12 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Tuesday at 10:43am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Thursday late evening. We're strongly motivated to explore and learn. We're not likely to be big fans of routine -- diversity and new adventures work best at this time -- we're also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired -- but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we'd rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge -- just watch out you aren't overdoing or overstating things.

Also: if you haven't set your New Moon Intentions yet, today (Tuesday) from 10:43am - 1:38pm EDT is a great time to do so... If you'd like some input on how to do that, check out this article -- you could also (re-)watch my New Moon video

Wednesday (Nov. 2nd):  the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Wednesday orly evening, Neptune starts to slow down (and will appear to move more slowly through the sky until Dec. 6th. It is getting ready to go direct again on Nov. 19th, when the 5-month retrograde phase that started on June 13th comes to an end.

A planet's energies are more exalted during it's "station period"; this has even more weight for an outer planet, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign.

Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.

This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 7-11 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Thursday (Nov. 3rd): the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 11:05pm EDT (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning,an opportune Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 1:10am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until this Friday. This aspect is an opportunity to deepen or transform areas of our lives that need it. It's also an opportunity to do more research, so we can build something meaningful, all while learning about our authentic motivations.

Remember: opportunities aren't on "automatic"... we have to go after them, realize them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or personal planets in 13-17 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Thursday at 6:35am EDT, we enter a 16.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:05pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect to like-minded people and learn something new about your unique self. See if you can broaden your approach, when it comes to your goals or projects.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 11:05pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Sunday morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures. It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".

As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not?

Friday (Nov. 4th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Thursday late evening for details).

Friday early afternoon, a challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 12:39pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on, it will be strong until next week Monday. This aspect asks us to stretch past injuries and insecurities in our relationships, self-worth and finances. If we can bring compassion and a different point of view to these issues, we will reach a new understanding of ourselves and our life journey.

We have the opportunity to learn from one another; ironically though, we may also feel insecure around others. Whenever Chiron is involved, we are being asked to do some healing work. As best as you can, use this time to learn about your sore spots. Nobody is perfect: we all have our flaws and idiosyncrasies. It's ok.

If you get triggered by someone, as best as you can, take it as an opportunity to see where this trigger originated -- probably in your childhood. Bring love and compassion to yourself, as you are, and as you were (i.e. your "wounded child"). Allow any feelings this may stir up in you. A feeling is just energy that wants to be experienced, and honored; it wants to move through us and out.

The more we resist our feelings, the more we keep them spinning in place. As best as you can, move from the head to the heart. What might change, if you showed 5% more compassion toward your inner wounded child? What if you just decided to have faith in the healing process?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 18-24 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Saturday (Nov. 5th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Thursday late evening for details).

Friday night/Saturday very early morning,a harmonious Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:23am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday night on, it will be strong until Monday night of next week. This aspect turns us toward the new and unusual in romance and finance, giving us experimental urges and an aversion to commitment. People may be drawn to us socially, as we bring something unconventional and sweet to the mix.

If you're going to take an experimental attitude toward financial undertakings, these areas hold promise right now: technology, metaphysics, the arts, group activities. Given that we are less risk-averse during this alignment, it could end up being a good couple of days for the stock market indexes... or volatile ones, at any rate :-)

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 19-25 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Also on Saturday, If you set intentions last Sunday or Monday, after the New Moon became exact, todaywill be the best time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Sunday (Nov. 6th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 8:55am EST (see Thursday late evening for details). Daylight Savings time in the US ends today, clocks move back one hour at 2am!

Sunday at 4:56am EDT, we enter a 4-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 8:55am EST. If you are already awake during this intuitive time, use it to take practical steps forward on existing projects. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 8:55am EST, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.

For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.

The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Monday afternoon).

Sunday afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:01pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on, it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This aspect is a wonderful possibility for deep emotional healing in regards to our conditioning and day-to-day thinking structures.

We can bring compassion, for ourselves and others, to emotionally "difficult" communications. We are able to allow more for the flow of feelings as we share ourselves; forgiveness and understanding towards ourselves and others comes more easily now in general.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

A head's up for next Monday (Nov. 7th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Sunday morning for details). A somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:11am EST. An opportune Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 3:25am EST. The first Quarter Moon in almost 16 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 2:51pm EST.More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Instruments of Revelation and Empowerment -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct. 24th - Sun., Oct. 30th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was busy yet exciting. Towards the end of the week, I felt a strong desire for rest and recreation -- no doubt connected to the Moon in Cancer, and the last Quarter Moon that became exact on Saturday.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my recent Chiron-workshop: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

This week's headline items: Mercury changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Monday. The New Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Sunday. There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for almost 15 hours), Wednesday afternoon (for almost 19.5 hours), and Saturday morning (for 16 hours).

Monday (October 24th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day. It will journey there until Monday late evening. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising.

We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-) So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things... be honest and authentic, as best you can.

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Monday at 8:21am EDT we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 15 hours, until 11:16pm EDT. During this intuitive time, have fun connecting with others and doing things that bring you joy — explore, take a risk. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday ahead of time ;-)

Monday at 4:46pm EDT, Mercurychanges signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 12th. During those three weeks, we have the ability to focus on what's most important to us on a deep emotional level.

We can get to the very heart of any matter at this time (especially through conversation). We are more passionate about giving valid advice or support. We are not satisfied with superficial connection right now -- it's all or nothing.

For that reason, our mental processes could get a little obsessive. We may also be more suspicious and expect bad intentions. It's a time that favors reading or writing about intrigue, mystery, and hidden motives. Mercury in Scorpio loves anything that challenges the brain and therefore we are often interested in what makes people tick during this time.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for investigating deeper emotional issues or motives. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Scorpio? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty and mentally alert for the next 2 months.

Monday at 11:16pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Thursday late morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Tuesday (Oct. 25th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Tuesday late evening, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:54pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on, it will be strong until this Friday. We can be confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money -- so it's best to wait until the transit is over, before making big moves in these areas -- if you make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships, it's likely you will not see things as they truly are.

We are actually being asked to have faith; to let our intuition guide us in money and love -- if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 5 days -- it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 6-13 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini  or  Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Wednesday (Oct. 26th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Wednesday late morning, an opportune Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 11:19am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on and it will be strong until this Friday. We have an opportunity to grow in our social and personal relationships at this time. Humor and caring play a big role in our interactions with others. In our dealings with loved ones, we can call upon tolerance, optimism and cooperation.

All things being equal, financially speaking, things are "looking up"; we may have opportunities now to expand our pocketbooks -- if we make sound decisions that are in the interest of everyone involved.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-12 degrees of Sagittarius, Libra, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Wednesday at 2:33pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 19.5 hours, until 9:51am EDT (Thursday morning). Use this intuitive time to get organized, improve daily routines, and for becoming aware of how this all fits in with achieving your long-term goals.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Thursday (Oct. 27th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 9:51am EDT (see Monday late evening for details).

Thursday at 9:51am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Saturday late evening. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Thursday early afternoon, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 6 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact at 12:16pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Monday on and it will be strong until Sunday. When the Sun and Mercury come together, we are especially sharp, communicative, and open. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life.

Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next. Words matter now, so choose them wisely: If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not "heard" -- if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that's ok.

Our thinking may become obsessive -- but becoming dogmatic may not serve us -- choose your battles wisely and seek to empower wherever possible.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-9 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Thursday late evening, an opportune Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:50pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Monday on and it will be strong until Sunday. This is an opportunity to accept the validity of our anger and desire, so that we can learn to express these energies naturally and confidently.

This could also inspire us to make resolutions and take actions towards healing our emotional and spiritual wounds. Remember: this is an "opportunity" -- those aren't necessarily handed to us, we have to make them happen.

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 19-23 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars rules Aries)

Friday (Oct. 28th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Thursday morning for details).

Between Friday morningand mid afternoon, we have an opportunity to connect with others and explore great truths. From the late afternoonuntil the early evening, we may need to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand we need to collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, we feel a deep desire to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.

Saturday (Oct. 29th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 10:01pm EDT (see Thursday morning for details).

Saturday at 6:09am EDT, we enter a 16-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:01pm EDT. We are pulled in two quite different directions: A desire for harmony, within and without, on the one hand — and a drive for long-term accomplishments that further our standing in society/publicly on the other. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Saturday ahead of time ;-)

Saturday evening, a Venus/Saturn alignment in 14 degrees of Sagittariusbecomes exact at 8:45pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on and it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This alignment brings a sense of maturity and commitment to our relationships and the things we most value. Relationships feel stable and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly.

We experience a new sense of realism in existing partnerships. A sense of duty may lead us to sacrifice a personal pleasure to a "cause" or loved one. We are ready to face any problems in personal relationships that have been swept under the carpet -- and they will likely surface. Renewed ties to old friends or lovers are possible, as is a new sense of responsibility in existing relationships. This is not the best time to start a brand-new relationship.

Venus last aligned with Saturn in Sagittarius early January of 2016; commitments made with others from that period can now move to the next level. What did you lend yourself to, back then? Where does that want to go now?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 11-17 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Saturday at 10:01pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Tuesday late morning.

Sunday (Oct. 30th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday late evening for details).

Sunday morning, a harmonious Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:57am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday morning on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This aspect supports imaginative thinking and the ability to connect our day-to-day mind with our intuition.

We pick up on what is going on with people, and can flow with that, as we can sense how our words land. This heightened sensitivity to subtle signals also opens us to metaphysical or spiritual concepts, visual arts, poetry -- and to commercial messaging from advertisers and marketers.

Do you have any of your personal planets or Ascendent in 6-13 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Sunday at 1:38pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 8 degrees of Scorpio, beginning a new Moon cycle. This New Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio brings our focus to our intimate relationships and deepest desires.  If you'd like to learn more about this aspect, check out my video on the subject :-)

All these planets in Scorpio powerfully remind us to face our fears, embrace our shadow, and thereby reclaim our inner power.

The "Shadow" is all the suppressed, denied or undeveloped qualities of self. When we have yet to fully integrate these disowned aspects, we feel disempowered, and are left vulnerable to manipulation or domination. Furthermore, what we reject in ourselves, we project onto others. That which we disown, owns us; whatever we resist, persists.

Who really bothers you "out there" in the world? What specifically bothers you about them? How do those characteristics relate to you? Are they doing things you aren't "allowed" to do, even to a tiny, healthy extent?

What do you joke about, then feel bad about? The shadow also makes itself known through humor, especially awkward humor...

With the Sun, Moon and Mercury in Scorpio, we are powerfully reminded that our thinking must transform -- and with Neptune connecting so beautifully to all those planets in Scorpio, we also have an opportunity to tap more fully into our intuitive "body", releasing old patterns and behaviors with self-compassion, shifting our attention from the head to the heart.

In each moment we have a choice, we can either act out of love or out of fear. Scorpio is all about transformation and we are being invited to do just that, by going into a deeper connection with ourselves, a more authentic and passionate one. Of course, just like us, this aspect has a shadow too: fear and control.

Remember: "Fear" is resistance to life, whereas "Love" is acceptance of life, in all its forms. One way to tell them apart is to look at whether what you're thinking and feeling is based on what's actually here now, as opposed to murky history or possible futures. What is true for you right here, right now? What would "Love" say?

The spiritual task of Scorpio is to learn to let go of whatever is dead or toxic in our lives. Often, this is connected to past traumas -- once again, fear based either on "what was", or on a possible future in which we would not be ok. All this can be scary and stir up wanting control.

The key is to realize that letting go is not about loss, but about transformation and (ultimately) about feeling empowered, since every ending is also a new beginning. Trust thus plays a central role in our intimate relationships and authentic connections.

Trust is something that develops over time -- and it can take a little longer for those of us who experienced trauma in the past -- this applies to developing trust in ourself, as much as with others.

Investigate this with these questions: What began at the endings you've been through? I'm guessing you didn't always already know what the new beginning would look like... Could this time be like that too? What might open up if you trusted to the evolutionary cycles of life... just for now?

Are we going to give our power away to a past experience or are we going to
step more fully into our power by owning that this is something that has helped us evolve?
Can we keep our heart open? Can we learn how to trust ourselves and life again?

Mars was historically considered to be the astrological ruler of  Scorpio, but Pluto took that title upon its discovery in the 1930's; it is thus known as the "modern" ruler of Scorpio. Pluto is now journeying through Capricorn, where it squares Jupiter in Libra

Optimistic belief (and even blind faith) in others may cause us to take unnecessary risks that are out of alignment with our deepest desires -- and therefore not empowering for everyone involved.

We are at a turning point: deep changes in our beliefs are now possible -- if we allow ourselves to let go of what's no longer working around our social structures or long-term goals.

Empowering others is key! Notice when you try to force your beliefs on others -- indeed, when you push too hard, in general -- the more you push, the more likely it becomes that life will push back! The fact is: humor and open-mindedness work better right now.

As mentioned above, Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio; it's moving through Capricorn, squaring Uranus in Aries and sextiling Chiron in Pisces. This brings restlessness and impatience.

We can be very demanding and hard to please, tend to feel like progress is too slow, and are tired of waiting. This could be an explosive time: a rebellious urge within drives us toward an emotional challenge.

What we are feeling is actually a resistance to "what is" and the speed at which things seem to be moving. A word to the wise: if possible, channel those energies into projects that need a jumpstart, or into athletic pursuits. Stay as grounded as possible and keep breathing! The future we are creating can only be as fulfilling as the present we are embracing.

Flexibility and open-mindedness also help. Embracing our humanity and practicing self-compassion -- especially in regards to our anger and desires for success -- is an opportunity for healing. As best as you can, could you simply allow all resistance to just be? And just for right now, could you simply let go of wanting to resist what is? Could you set all inner tension free, as best you can?

Saturn aligns with Venus in Sagittarius... and that combo makes lots of connections to other planets in this New Moon chart.

Firstly, it's squaring the Moon Nodes: this brings a focus to our beliefs, and our ability to take responsibility for how we relate, both to others and ourselves. In fact, this represents a turning point on our journey towards making heartfelt (or intuitive) decisions that serve all.

Venus and Saturn also sextile Jupiter in Libra and trine Uranus in Aries. This brings a joyful, enthusiastic component to what we consider possible for us, long-term. Business partnerships are able to get off the ground with more ease and we are good at assessing their risk. What commitments are you ready for? Where might you explore?

It's a lot, right? To sum it all up:
Let yourself integrate all of who you are... even those parts that are connected to past trauma and pain... as best as you can, allow those parts to feel safe and loved. There is nothing to defend or protect. You are powerful in your own right. Be courageous and kind to yourself!

Here are some last coaching questions you can ask yourself:
What if I let compassion and courage think and speak on my behalf?
What if my thoughts and words were really instruments of revelation and empowerment?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-10 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus,Leo or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeo or Cancer(the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 1:38pm Sunday afternoon, and 10:43pm Monday evening (EDT); and then again from 10:43am (Tuesday late morning) until 1:38pm EDT Tuesday early afternoon.

A head's up for next Monday (Oct. 31st): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday late evening for details). At 10:44pm EDT, we enter a 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:43am EDT (Tuesday late morning). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week was mellow and... dare I say it?... ideal. I effortlessly got everything done I needed to -- and I still was able to socialize -- and take care of myself really well on top of all of that. It felt very much connected to that Mars/Neptune sextile from last week.

Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:

This week's headline items: Venus changes signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius on Tuesday; Mars aligns with Pluto in Capricorn on Wednesday; on Saturday, the last Quarter Moon becomes exact and the Sun changes signs from Libra to Scorpio.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday late morning (for almost 24 hours), Thursday morning (for a little over 4 hours), and Saturday afternoon (for 20 minutes).

Monday (October 17th): the Moon remainsin steady, peacefulTaurus all day; it will be there until Tuesday late morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing right now? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-)

Monday at 10:47am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 24 hours, until 10:30am EDT (Tuesday late morning). This is an intuitive time; use it to transform business partnerships and form realistic financial goals. This is also a good time for making concrete plans for the future.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan most of Monday and Tuesday morning ahead of time ;-)

Monday all day and Tuesday before 5pm EDT is your last chance to sign up for my MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM -- live on TuesdayOct. 18th at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT/11pm BST(London-time). Please note that we just had a Super Moon/Full Moon in Aries, Mars will conjunct Pluto and square Uranus mid - late October, and a Neptune Station coming up in November! If you'd like to get in alignment with the stars for those events, join me live or sign up for the mp4-video recording.

Tuesday (Oct. 18th): theMoon remainsin steady, peaceful Taurus and VoC until 10:30am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday early morning at 3:01am EDT, Venus changes signs from intense, all-or-nothing Scorpio to adventurous, freedom-loving Sagittarius. It will journey there until Nov. 11th; until then, we feel more social, and inclined especially to connect to people from different backgrounds and countries. We like to explore new things, whether food or social gatherings: if it's exotic, it's great!

We are more likely to take some risks now with others, and to say what's on our mind. Our relationships need to be connected to adventure -- a trip might be just the thing. Getting away from our routines and exploring life... hey, why not? :-)

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more adventurous and spontaneous for the next 4 weeks; your heart will want to explore new things and get a new perspective on life. If you are a Sagittarius Sun-sign or Rising-sign, for as long as Venus is in your sign, you will attract more love, abundance and beauty into your life.

Tuesday at 10:30am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Thursday late morning. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible.

"Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way...The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)

Tuesday is also your very last chance to sign up for my MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM -- live on TuesdayOct.

Wednesday (Oct. 19th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Wednesday morning, a Mars/Pluto alignment in 15 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 7:22am EDT.We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening on, it will be strong until this Sunday evening. This alignment connects our personal will to the Universal Will. If we feel the need to connect to something, we will feel it passionately, especially when it comes to our long-term goals and our public image.

We may feel impatient (or even obsessive) right now about our career goals. Suppressed desires surface; we will need to take actions on them, one way or another.

If you are able to connect -- body and soul -- to that passion, you will be able to move towards a much higher goal. This may be a goal that is truthfully connected to the whole of you, perhaps even to your Soul Purpose for this lifetime. Mars last aligned with Pluto in mid November of 2014; unresolved issues from that period can now move to the next level. What were you up to back then?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 12-18 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Mars's movements and aspects; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio, so they likewise feel Pluto's movements and aspects more strongly)

Wednesday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 4:02pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday night on, it will be strong until Thursday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

This boils down to feeling "stumped" -- we feel like we can't get our head around things, or make decisions.  As best as you can, be kind and compassionate to yourself.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-23 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Thursday (Oct. 20th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 11:28am EDT (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Thursday early morning, a Mercury/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 3:48am EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Friday evening. We are better off thinking outside the box for those three days. We want to change a life situation (or relationship) that is out of alignment with who we now want to be.

Our minds may feel overwhelmed by what all this means, especially as it relates to our relationships. Stay calm, as best as you can: Sudden or rash decisions might backfire.

Do your best to take it one moment at a time. It may be true that something does indeed need to change; however, we need to step back, see the bigger picture, not rush into anything. Keep taking actions, even if it seems that you are not making any progress: If you keep at it, you will be rewarded ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in in 19-25 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).

Thursday at 7:17am EDT we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 4 hours, until 11:28am EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect to others and create allegiances. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday morning ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 11:28am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Saturday afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (which, will be exact on Saturday afternoon...)

Friday (Oct. 21st): theMoon remainsinprotective, introverted Cancer all day (see Thursday late morning for details). We start the day with a sense of "flow" and emotional connection to others.

Towards the afternoon, we may encounter relationship challenges that require a balanced approach: The Moon opposes Pluto in the early afternoon and then opposes Mars in the late afternoon.

This could drive some tension or oppositional behaviors; as best as you can, remain flexible and practice self-care. Remember: no matter what, you need other people in your life, so find win-win solutions ;-) Ask yourself: Would I rather be right or connected? Tomorrow is another day; it may well bring another perspective.

Saturday (Oct. 22nd): theMoon remainsinprotective, introverted Cancer until 3:34pm EDT (see Thursday late morning for details).

Saturday at 3:14pm EDT, the last Quarter Moonin 29 degrees of Cancer becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Cancer, on Thursday late morning. The Moon in protective, nurturing Cancer makes a challenging aspect to the Sun harmony-oriented, idealistic Libra. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change.

This Moon phase brings us closer to Oct. 30th, which will bring the New Moon in Scorpio. During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be Sept. 30th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you?

As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 27-29 degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, Aries, or 0-2 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Also on Saturday at 3:14pm EDT, we enter a brief Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 20 minutes, until 3:34pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

Make space both for connecting with others harmoniously, and taking care of any emotional or family issues. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Saturday at 3:34pm EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Monday late evening.

Saturday at 7:46pm EDT, the Sun changes signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 21st. The guiding principle of Scorpio is "I desire". With the Sun in Scorpio our consciousness is drawn towards depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling.

Superficiality simply will not do for the next 30 days. We have the desire to get to the bottom of what matters. We are more interested in that which is hidden, taboo, secret or suppressed. Scorpio's energy is passionate, strong-willed, and intense. Used in its highest vibration, it can be an immensely healing and transformative energy.

On a lower vibration, Scorpio can express jealousy, vindictiveness, and use manipulative tactics. Bring your awareness towards your feelings, fears and behaviors. As best as you can, embrace all your feelings, let go of your fears and strip yourself from behaviors that no longer serve you.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Scorpio Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Scorpio, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more aware of your own shadow parts… anything that you have suppressed or denied about yourself.

Sunday (Oct. 23rd): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Saturday afternoon for details).

Sunday morning, a somewhat challenging Jupiter/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:33am EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until next week Friday (Oct. 28th). This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

Positive thinking is not going to heal everything: We are now called to learn more about our inner joy and about connecting from the heart. There is a particular emphasis on our beliefs around relationships and creating from a harmonious, balanced place.

At the same time, we feel the need to find time for compassionate and loving self-connection, healing our emotional and spiritual wounds through an inner awareness of unconditional love and faith.

By remaining flexible and making inner adjustments, we can bring clarity (rather than judgment) to both of those energies, and thereby explore them on a deeper level.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-11 degrees of  Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Pisces (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Neptune rules Pisces)

A head's up for next Monday (Oct. 24th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Saturday afternoon for details). At 8:21am EDT we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 15 hours, until 11:16pm EDT. At 4:46pm EDT, Mercurychanges signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 12th. At 11:16pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Thursday late morning.More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

One More Announcement:

Please take a second to read this testimonial from a participant from the most recent Forum:
"I only have wonderful things to say about Sonja's Monthly Live Forecasting Webinar.  I'm developing a stronger understanding of astrology and of my own natal chart.  It's so awesome to have Sonja's perspective and input on the transits and important astrology events on a monthly basis.  The webinar is super valuable, it's like going to astrology school in a way :)  Sonja's format is very understandable for novice and beginners, but also advanced enough for people are experts. There is always a nice group of people attending the webinar, and Sonja present everything in a soothing and yet upbeat manner.  Since I've started, I have attended every month and I find each webinar very helpful. Thank you for offering this." -- Tatia D.

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja
