Last week was truly about emotional and physical healing. No doubt this was connected to the Chiron Station -- I felt it especially strongly on Thursday, when Chiron changed directions -- self-care and compassion moved to the forefront.
For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my recent Chiron-workshop: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info
This week's headline items: on Tuesday, Neptune ends its station. Wednesday is a pretty big day astrologically... just one day after ending its station, Neptune's opposition to the Sept. 1st Solar Eclipse degree becomes exact; the first Quarter Moon in Pisces becomes exact early in the morning, while Venus changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius a few hours later. Jumping ahead to Saturday: Saturn squares the degree of March 8th Solar Eclipse; finally, on Sunday, Chiron ends its station.
There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for a little over 17 hours), Wednesday morning (for a little over 20 hours), Friday evening (for a little over 11.5 hours), and Sunday late evening (for a little over 8.5 hours).
Monday (December 5th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 11:31pm EST. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.
For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.
The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical.
Mondayat 6:23am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that last for a little over 17 hours, until 11:31pm EST.This is an intuitive time that presents an opportunity to connect to innovative ideas and unique world-views -- so if you can, connect with like-minded people and explore something new.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Monday ahead of time ;-)
Mondayat 11:31pm EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Thursday morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Wednesday early morning).
Tuesday (Dec. 6th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday late evening for details).
Tuesday late evening, an opportune Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 10:30pm EST. We started to feel this from Sunday on; it will be strong until this Saturday. We have the opportunity to create some forward movement in our lives, especially in connection to our future visions. We may want to work on projects with like-minded people right now. Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store -- certainly unexpected ones ;-)
What is one of your unique goals? How could you go after what you want, while still keeping other people's benefit in mind? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us: We have to "realize" it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-23 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)
Also on Tuesday, Neptune resumes its normal pace through the sky, after a 5-month retrograde phase -- it is ending its station. What has come up in the last four weeks around resting, trusting and allowing? How closely are you in touch with your intuition?
Wednesday (Dec. 7th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday late evening for details).
Wednesday at 1:18am EST, Neptune opposes the degree of Sept. 1st Solar Eclipse. We may experience something that resonates back to that time (most likely a health or work issue). We are now invited to bring compassion and intuitive thinking to our decision making process.
Something might resurface around an emotional or spiritual connection. We might also experience a feeling of separation from our intuitive body that brings up confusion or fear. What if you simply redefined your relationship to Spirit/Source/God/the Universe? What if that would bring more clarity to your daily routines? Could you bring 5% more compassion to yourself and others when being of service? What would "Love" do?
Neptune will stay in that particular degree until tomorrow (Thursday) 4:30pm EST; thanks to the Neptune retrograde that ended back on Nov. 19, this is the second time the planet has moved through this degree in the past four weeks.
Wednesday at 4:03am EST, the first Quarter Moon in almost 16 degrees of Pisces becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Pisces on Monday late evening. The Moon in creative, sensitive, compassionate Pisces makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius.
We feel compelled to take action. Last week on Nov. 29th, the New Moon in Sagittarius become exact: "Seeds" planted then are probably "sprouting" by now -- and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.
As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 14-18 degrees of Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo or Gemini? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeoorCancer(the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Wednesday at 9:05am EST, we enter Moon void of course (VoC). that last for a little over 20 hours, until 5:15am EST (Thursday morning). We are pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, a desire for silence, emotional oneness, and creativity flowing through us... And on the other, a desire for focused exploration...
Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Wednesday and Thursday early morning ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday at 9:51am EST, Venus changes signs from productive, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-oriented, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until January 3rd. This requires that we provide more freedom in our relationships. Basically, we want to improve them, break away from what feels old or stale.
We want our intellectual qualities to be admired; we also want to connect to like-minded people that share our vision — so friendships and networking will be favored for the next 3 weeks. We may consider unusual financial investments. This is a good time for financial undertakings involving the following areas: electronics, technology and the internet, metaphysics, the arts group activities.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius? If so, this placement will bring extra love and beauty into your life. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you may feel the need for freedom or change in your relationships more strongly.
Thursday (Dec. 8th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 5:15am EST (see Monday late evening for details).
Thursday at 5:15am EST, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-pacedAries, where it will journey until Saturday morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.
Friday (Dec. 9th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Thursday morning for details).
Friday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 4:39pm EST. We started to feel this aspect on Tuesday; its influence will remain strong until Sunday. We might want to take advantage of the opportunities this aspect provides -- it's an excellent time for creating win-win situations, resolving conflicts with others, having adventures and boosting our self-confidence.
We may feel particularly vital and confident -- and an inner optimism can bring rewards. Humor can be a big part of this aspect too: We are able to see the irony in our own stories about life in general and our relationships in particular. This could bring a healthy shift in attitudes toward one-on-one relationships -- whether personal or business.
Imagine you have a special lens which showed you the "bigger picture"... What would your relationships look like when you gazed through it?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-20 degrees ofSagittarius, Libra, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Friday at 8:06pmEST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that last for a little over 11.5 hours, until 7:41am EST (Saturday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to make connections to like-minded people that might support your projects and sentiments -- but plan it beforehand (as always with a Moon VoC, try not to start anything brand-new). If that's not possible, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Saturday (Dec. 10th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries and VoCuntil 7:41am EST (see Thursday morning for details).
Saturday very early morning, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 3:25am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until Sunday. This is an opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process. Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time.
Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do well at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and ability to get things done. Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else's words… allow the Universe to speak to you. Open your mind to a higher vibration -- and remember, opportunities are openings... they aren't necessarily handed to us... we have to "take" them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 7-11 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Scorpio or Taurus? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Saturday morning, a Sun/Saturn alignment in 18 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact at 6:51am EST. We started feeling this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This alignment brings a more serious tone to our perception and our attitudes towards life -- it calls for us to "get real".
We are motivated to manifest tangible results. We welcome discipline, structure and order; we can focus and work hard. Note that while this is especially true for projects involving travel, foreign affairs, publishing or expanding our horizons, it applies to anything that feels particularly meaningful or exciting.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 4-11 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Saturday at 7:41am EST, the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Monday morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing right now? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-)
Saturday at 11:48pm EST: Saturn squares the degree of March 8th Solar Eclipseand will remain in that particular degree until tomorrow (Sunday) at 3:10am EST. Watch for important insights and developments during this time: It’s a turning point for us and brings more clarity as to what we need to change and focus on next.
Sunday (Dec. 11th): theMoon remainsin steady, peacefulTaurusall day (see Saturday morning for details).
Sunday: Chiron resumes its normal pace through the sky, after a 5-month retrograde phase -- it is ending its station today: What has come up in the last three weeks around emotional or spiritual wounds/insecurities? How are you doing at embracing your own humanity, trusting the flow of life or allowing yourself to be an emotional being? Healing, embracing our own humanity, and making peace with our past will get easier now.
Sunday at 11:04pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that last for a little over 8.5 hours, until 7:41am EST (Monday morning). Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions to the seeming conflict between your needs around practical matters/finances, versus shared future visions.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday night and Monday morning ahead of time ;-)
Sunday night/Monday very early morning,a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 1:56am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. This aspect connects us to a strong energy field -- physical and metaphysical. We feel alive, we want to create a better future for ourselves and others, and we want to have fun doing it. Watch out for messages from the Universe :-)
Originality and innovation come easy to us, as does connection with like-minded people. We can celebrate (and leverage) our idealism and unorthodox approaches to life's challenges. What if you expressed what's uniquely "you" without apologies? What if you did it with authenticity and pride? And, looking at things from a different angle: What might be possible with a bigger network of like-minded people?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 17-24 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will feel more blessed by this planetary connection than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)
A head's up for next Monday (Dec. 12th): the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will be until Wednesday morning.A challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:58am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
