For me personally, last week was eye-opening, but I felt tired a lot :-) I believe this had to do with the Mars/Neptune square: Because I was multi-tasking at super-speed, I neglected my intuitive connection to myself, and the need to go within and pause; instead, I felt the restlessness and distractedness typical of this aspect.
Towards the end of the week -- with lots of support from my "healer" friends -- I was able to feel more grounded and less frazzled.
Before we get to this week's forecast:
If you missed our FORECASTING FORUM last week, feel free to watch the mp4-recording of this wonderful event. Please note that we talked about the Moon Nodes (our Soul's Journey) switching from Pisces/Virgo to Aquarius/Leo until Nov. 2018 -- in relationship to our own Birth charts.
If you want to know how these Nodal movements are impacting you personally, click here and add the Monthly Forecasting Forum to your cart ;-) Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. I strongly recommend watching this particular Forum, especially if you have any personal planets or points (ASC/MC) in Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio or Taurus!
This week's headline items: two celestial bodies are changing signs:Mercury (from Aries to Taurus) and the Sun (Taurus to Gemini). We also have two planets leaving their shadow phases (Venus on Thursday, Mercury on Saturday). The other item of note this week is the last Quarter Moon in Aquarius, which becomes exact on Thursday evening.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday morning (for 7.5 hours), Thursday evening (for almost 3.5 hours), and Saturday late evening (for 6.5 hours).
Monday (May 15th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornall day.It will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures -- and those stories we tell ourselves about "what was", rather than what actually "is". It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".
As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not?
Monday night/Tuesday very early morning at 12:07am EDT, Mercury changes signs fromenthusiastic, fast-paced Aries to steady, peaceful Taurus. This is a "revisit": due to Mercury's retrograde phase in April/May, it already journeyed through Taurus from March 31st until April 20th. This time, it will stay there until June 6th.
For the next 3 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: we want to connect to others in a realistic, down-to-earth way and we "say it like it is". We appreciate common sense; we rely on our senses when it comes to processing information.
A well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this Mercury position, so as long as Mercury is in Taurus, we will be drawn towards the "tasteful" in the realm of the five senses. We are more likely to have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and our ideas are often very practical and useful at this time.
When it comes to learning, we prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts for the next 3 weeks. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb. We simply process information better when we can personalize it ("what use is it to me?") and attach it to the practical world.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you may need to slow down and “smell the roses” ;-)
Tuesday (May 16th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornuntil 1:50pm EDT (see Monday for details).
Tuesday at 6:22am EDT, we enter a 7.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 1:50pm EDT. You may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: On the one hand, a need for serious, diligent accomplishment -- and on the other, a desire for enthusiastic and horizon-broadening connection with like-minded people. As best as you can, take a break, and simply notice what arises in consciousness.
Use this intuitive time to make adjustments (and find creative solutions) when it comes to resolving these desires. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Tuesday ahead of time ;-)
Tuesday at 1:50pm EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Thursday night. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.
For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.
The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Thursday evening).
Wednesday (May 17th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquariusall day (see Tuesday afternoon for details).
Wednesday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 1:29am EDT. We started to feel this connection from Monday night on; it will be strong until Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level.
We feel uneasy about something, awkward -- and we need to make a choice -- a choice that demands a more developed inner awareness around the issue. Our focus is drawn to the truth of the matter, but we could be dragged down by doubts and insecurities.
It’s also worthwhile to look at how our beliefs about life are connected to what we value -- our own self-worth. As best you can, slow down, but don’t come to a halt: Just because you're not sure about something, doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a longer look -- in other words, don’t impatiently discard things when you’re unsure what to do about them.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 25-28 degrees of Taurus or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
On Wednesday morning, at 1:29am EDT, another somewhat challenging aspect becomes exact. We started to feel this long-term connection between Jupiter & Neptune around May 6th and will feel it strongly until June 17th. Again, this aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
Positive thinking is not going to heal everything: We are now called to learn more about our inner joy and about connecting from the heart. There is a particular emphasis on our beliefs around relationships and creating from a harmonious, balanced place.
At the same time, we feel the need to find time for compassionate and loving self-connection, healing our emotional and spiritual wounds through an inner awareness of unconditional love and faith.
By remaining flexible and making inner adjustments, we can bring clarity (rather than judgment) to both of those energies, and thereby explore them on a deeper level. You may recall that we also experienced this aspect in late October of last year -- what needed adjusting back then?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-15 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Pisces (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Neptune rules Pisces)
Thursday (May 18th) is a big day! The Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 11:52pm EDT (see Tuesday afternoon for details).
Thursday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 1:29am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Saturday. This aspect is an opportunity for self-healing; this could support our confidence and brings us into better alignment with our physical and emotional body.
We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths -- how might this be true for you?
Until Saturday, as best as you can, practice gentleness; be kind to yourself and others. Again, remember: an opportunity is an opening, a glimpse of new possibilities -- so "opportunities" are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow -- we have to "take" them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer, or 0 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Thursday evening at 8:33pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 28 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact. the Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in steady, down-to-earth Taurus. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed.
This Moon phase brings us closer to May 25th New Moon in Gemini. With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what needs to be completed. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since April 26th? What did it mean for you? What actions could shift the things you seeded or started in late April?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio, or 0 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Also on Thursday at 8:33pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that last for almost 3.5 hours, until 11:52pm EDT. We are experiencing two quite different needs, pulling us in different directions: On the one hand, we feel a strong need to break the rules and move towards our future visions.
On the other hand, we want to connect to what feels familiar and comfortable. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan this Thursday evening ahead of time ;-)
Thursday at 11:52pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Sunday morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.
Last but not least, also on Thursday, Venus leaves her shadow phaseat 13 degrees of Aries! We are ready to attract and receive new "things", money and relationships. This is especially good news for anyone who has a Taurus or Libra Sun-sign, Rising sign or Moon-sign ;-)
Friday (May 19th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Thursday late evening for details).
Friday very early morning: a long-term, harmonious Saturn/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from April 14th on; it will be strong until June 14th.
We actually already experienced this aspect in 2017; the first time was at the very beginning of this year. It invites us to connect maturity, tradition and discipline to new approaches and thinking styles -- we are less resistant to change.
Now is the time to free ourselves of debilitating habits or beliefs, -- or pluck up the courage to create, experiment, plunge into new territory... We could receive unexpected help from someone who is older or in authority. An unusual teacher could appear.
This aspect offers a chance to take some risks and conduct experiments in totally new ways of living, perceiving, and interacting with others and our environment. We have a chance to awaken and become aware of any areas of restriction and constriction.
In fact, a spirit of openness, curiosity, and “divine discontent” moves through us at this time. We may branch out in an entirely new direction whilst still considering the consequences and taking responsibility for our actions.
As best you can, consider all alternative, unusual, or non-traditional possibilities that arise; solve "old" problems in new ways. Act on hunches, inner nudges, inklings, and information you get from “unofficial" or unusual sources. What would be a wacky way to come at things? What if you turned something upside down?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-29 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Capricorn (Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Friday morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:06am EDT. We started to feel this connection from Wednesday night on; it will be strong until Saturday evening. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
As best as you can, evaluate any projects before getting involved; our great energy and genuine humanitarian spirit could feed other people's unrealistic expectations, leaving us feeling drained and unappreciated.
If we are able to reevaluate our everyday habits and inner dialog, we will see whether or not they really support our long term goals. If you have the choice, go deeper rather than faster -- empower yourself and others by thinking long-term, rather than zooming into multiple directions, trying to do everything at once.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-20 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).
Also, on Friday morning: The Sun in Taurus squares the transiting Moon Nodes in Leo/Aquarius. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday night on (May 16/17); it will be strong until Sunday (May 21st).
This is a turning point for our Soul's Journey. Check in with yourself: What physical or material attachments must be released for me to move forward on my path towards a place of greater joy?
If you missed our FORECASTING FORUM last week, feel free to watch the mp4-recording of this wonderful event. Please note that we talked about the Moon Nodes switching from Pisces/Virgo to Aquarius/Leo until Nov. 2018 -- in relationship to our own Birth charts.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Aquarius or Scorpio, or 0-1 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this transit. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (Leo rules the Sun).
Friday late morning (10:12am) EDT: a Venus/Jupiter opposition becomes exact. We've been feeling this aspect since Monday night and will feel it strongly until Monday evening of next week. This is asking us to find an inner and outer balance between two apparently conflicting pulls: On the one hand, we have our connection to our personal goals and valuing ourselves, and on the other, our need for expansion and new perspectives within our one-on-one relationships.
We have a tendency to overestimate our personal capabilities right now: We want to do (and be) more than is actually possible right now. In the same spirit, we might also have a tendency to live beyond our means.
As you can see, we need to watch out for feeling overly-optimistic or -enthusiastic. Moderation is the keyword, with regard to both finances and our affections: Check your bank account... and keep it real ;-) Find the balance between what you value in yourself, with what others could contribute to you.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Saturday (May 20th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Thursday late evening for details).
Saturday at 4:31pm EDT, the Sun changes signs from steady, sensual Taurus to versatile, fast-thinking Gemini. Depending on your timezone, it will journey through Gemini until either June 20th or 21st. With the Sun in Gemini, the urge for communication is strong. We may be extra interested in collecting and sharing information. This is a time when curiosity and adaptability are favored. We are more flexible, changeable and adaptable -- which makes us quite social as well.
We enjoy intellectual tasks and connections; in fact, we can easily become bored if we don't get enough mental stimulation at this time. Though we are more objective and observant than usual, we prefer to keep things light and easy. There is usually a nervousness in the air at this time as well, as we are constantly seeking to connect and have new interactions. “Sharing” is the name of the game; reading, writing, studying and teaching are thus favored at this time.
All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Gemini Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Gemini, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo your vitality will most likely speed up and you feel more chatty than usual.
Saturday at 11:39pm EDT, we enter a 6.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 6:10am EDT (Sunday morning). We are pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, a desire for inner silence, emotional oneness, and creativity flowing through us... And on the other, a desire for focused exploration and cautious expansion...
Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday night/Sunday early morning ahead of time ;-)
Sunday (May 21st) at 6:10am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Tuesday morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.
Also on Sunday: Mercury's shadow phase has ended. We are ready to process (and share) brand-new information. As you may recall from earlier blog entries, if you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it's best to avoid the shadow periods before and after Mercury goes retrograde.
This is especially true if the items you are thinking about getting are connected to transportation (cars, flight tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, i-pad, etc.) The shadow phase having ended, feel free to buy, sell and book whatever your heart desires Feel free to also read my blog on the subject ;-) This is especially good news for anyone who has a Gemini or Virgo Sun-sign or Rising sign ;-)
A head's up for next Monday (May 22nd): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Sunday morning for details). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
