Last week felt long... so much happened. The intensity and pushing to accomplish things felt very much connected to the Mars/Pluto opposition that we experienced most of the week. I'm not proud to admit it, but I leaned on Chocolate... a lot...
Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
Very last chance to sign up for this month's FORECASTING FORUM, this Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 at 3pmPT/ 6pm ET/11pm BST (London-time). Please note that a Mars/Uranus square will become exact on July 17th and Uranus in Aries stations, starting July 19th(getting ready to go retrograde in August). We are also entering Eclipse season on July 23rd...
Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. To register now, click here
This week's headline items: the Chiron station ends on Thursday; the last Quarter Moon in Aries becomes exact on Sunday afternoon... andthere will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday morning (for a little over 3 hours), Friday early afternoon (for almost 7 hours), and Sunday late evening (for almost 3 hours).
Monday (July 10th) very early morning, a Sun/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 12:35am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday evening on; it will be strong until this Thursday. This opposition is all about "empowerment versus disempowerment". On an interpersonal level, we may try to gain more control over other people, and vice versa. A balance needs to be struck between family/home and work/career issues.
This transit will test our ambitions: How well have we planned? How hard have we worked? How efficient have we become? Our energy is high now, and it needs to be directed into constructive channels, rather than in reckless rebellion.
If you are in a position of authority, don't expect others to keep up with your fast pace: We may feel like driving ourselves past the breaking point, but employees or co-workers will likely rebel if we push them.
That said, we can use this time to gain control over our own actions; the challenge here is to understand why we do something in a particular way, rather than simply repressing traits we don't like. We are called to bring hidden facets of our character to the surface, so we can examine and understand them, then make appropriate changes.
If you find yourself wanting to be "aggressive", shoot for "assertive" instead; the first comes from fear, the second from love. And as always -- as best as you can -- choose love rather than fear, no matter the situation.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 15-21 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun is the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Monday at 1:35am EDT, the moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday late morning. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.
For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.
The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical.
Tuesday (July 11th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Monday early morning for details).
Tuesday early morning, we feel a flow and support towards socializing and connecting with others. Great ideas and concepts can be shared right now.
In the late morning, we have an opportunity to build a solid foundation for a vision we’ve been sensing — so if you possibly can, take some actions on that.
Also, Tuesday until 5pm EDT, is your very last chance to sign up for today's FORECASTING FORUM. Please note that a Mars/Uranus square will become exact on July 17th and Uranus in Aries stations, starting July 19th(getting ready to go retrograde in August). We are also entering Eclipse season on July 23rd...
We will address these planetary movements in more detail in relationship to our own birth charts. Wednesday (July 12th): The Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquariusuntil 11:51am EDT (see Monday morning for details).
Wednesday at 8:40am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 3 hours, until 11:51am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to like-minded people and inspire them. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday mid-late morning ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday at 11:51am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Friday evening. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.
Thursday (July 13th): The Moon remains in creative, sensitivePiscesall day (see Wednesday late morning for details).
Thursday: Chiron ends its station and gets back to its normal pace through the sky -- but appears to be moving backward through the sky (as seen from Earth -- that’s what “retrograde” refers to). We have a chance to do some internal work on any emotional or spiritual wounding or insecurities that came up over the last couple of weeks.

Thursday, early morning: we feel a need to go within -- and also want to connect and learn from others. This tension clearly invites us to stretch a little and resolve it through creative solutions -- the key here is to listen to our intuition, so we don't drive ourselves or others crazy.
As we move into Thursday afternoon, we are best served by going with the flow, or doing something creative.
Thursday, late in the evening, we have the opportunity to be guided by inspiration, and fully commit to a project or task that might serve us long-term. As best as you can, listen and trust to the subtle messages in your heart, that stir you towards success.
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 2:19am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until Friday evening. This could contribute either to some mental confusion and spaciness, or the need to communicate with others from our imagination (but possibly not knowing how to achieve that).
This aspect operates more on an internal level: We feel uneasy about something, sort of "awkward" -- and we need to make a choice. Sometimes, imagination and mind can run way ahead of what is actually feasible (and sensible). At these times, the grand vision is best served by focusing on the next concrete step, accepting our own idiosyncrasies as we go.
Honesty is crucial here, especially self-honesty; inner awareness is in turn crucial to deep honesty and authenticity. What's true for you? What might be possible for humanity? Where do those overlap?
Note that I say "overlap": Don't look for an exact fit, this is more like two puzzle pieces that came from different jigsaw puzzles. You might keep looking at the imperfect fit and feel a nagging sense that something doesn't make sense… and it doesn't -- it can't. The pieces are not from the same game. Just do your best to "hang out" with the discomfort, rather than repeatedly trying to figure it out and fix it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-15 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)
Friday (July 14th): The Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 7:52pm EDT (see Wednesday late morning for details).
Friday at 1:00pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 7 hours until 7:52pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with others (and yourself) with gentleness and compassion. Creative and spiritual endeavors are favored right now.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday afternoon/evening ahead of time ;-)
Friday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 2:29pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening; it will be strong until Saturday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level.
We feel uneasy about something, awkward -- and we need to make a choice -- a choice that demands a more developed inner awareness around the issue. Our focus is drawn to the truth of the matter, but we could be dragged down by doubts and insecurities.
It’s also worthwhile to look at how our beliefs about life are connected to our inner sense of safety. As best you can, slow down, but don’t come to a halt: Just because you're not sure about something, doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a longer look -- in other words, don’t impatiently discard things when you’re unsure what to do about them.
Ask yourself: What inner attitudes need to be adjusted in order to achieve the things that are in full alignment with what I truly need? How might I channel my feelings in a self-responsible way? What might be possible if I took a larger, more long-term view? How might gentleness with myself and my body support my long-term goals?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 21-24 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Friday late afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 4:46pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening; it will remain strong until Saturday evening. This aspect is an opportunity for us to expand our thinking and express ourselves with confidence and optimism -- we share what's important to us from a place of open-mindedness and joy.
This connection also creates a possibility of expansion via stepping into uncharted territory. Humor can be a great way to tap into this energetic combo.
This planetary connection also favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, and making observations. We more readily exercise good judgment and are more "philosophical" and open to learning.
Again, as with any opportunity, we have to "take" it -- it requires we take action. What could you do that would instill confidence in your exploration of the mind? Is there a new mental process that is asking to be explored?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-17 degrees of Leo,Libra, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Friday at 7:52pm EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-pacedAries, where it will journey until Sunday night/Monday very early morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Sunday afternoon).
Saturday (July 15th): The Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Ariesall day (see Friday evening for details).
Saturday late afternoon: we have an opportunity to connect with others and move a project forward that is dear to us. It’s time for action: What small (or even large) action steps could you take? Or is it a question of “who” rather than “how”? Moon in Aries sextiles Venus in Gemini at 5:40pm EDT -- post at 4pm EDT
Saturday late evening, we seek a balance between our need for self-sufficiency, and our desire to learn from collaboration: What might be possible if you could integrate one with the other?Moon in Aries opposes Jupiter in Libra at 11:03pm EDT -- post at 9:30pm EDT
Sunday (July 16th): The Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Ariesall day (see Friday evening for details).
Sunday at 3:26pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 24.5 degrees of Aries becomes exact. The Moon in pioneering, fast-paced Aries makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in protective, nurturing Cancer. This may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed.
This Moon phase brings us closer to July 23rd's New Moon in Leo. With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what needs to be completed. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since June 23rd? What did it mean for you?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-27 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Libra or Capricorn? If so, you are more affected by this month's last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Sunday mid-afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 3:50pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday evening; it will remain strong until Monday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, awkward, and need to make a choice -- so we need to develop inner awareness.
Our compulsive side may lead us down a path that evades rational understanding. Our judgments -- of circumstances, ourselves, others -- can be so extreme during this aspect that we can’t seem to make intelligent and consistent progress in our life for the three days it is in effect.
As best as you can, strive to be more trusting, and less strict with yourself for these three days -- and surrender to whatever you are experiencing right now… like everything else, it’s temporary. Flexibility and a playful attitude could be helpful too ;-)
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-19 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)
Sunday at 10:19pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 3 hours until very early Monday morning at 1:04am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make connections to people that can enthusiastically support your projects (and sentiments).
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late evening/night ahead of time ;-)
A head's up for next Monday (July 17th): At 1:04am EDT, the moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Wednesday very early morning.Late morning, a Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 10:33am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday evening; it will remain strong until next week Thursday. In the evening, a Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:37pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening; it will remain strong until next week Thursday. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
