October 2017

Slow and Steady -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct. 30th - Sun., Nov. 5th, 2017.

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

The theme of last week for me was dealing with multiple layers of occurrences, projects, and tasks -- all connected to future arrangements and moving things forward. My new home, my trip to Vienna to visit family, finding a cat sitter, my new website, making arrangements for my hubby's 50th Birthday... It went on and on :-) No wonder I had long days and little rest... but surprisingly none of it felt heavy or exhausting... yay for Jupiter in my first House :-)

Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
Last chance to sign up for my FORECASTING FORUM, next week Monday, Nov. 6th, 2017 at 2pmPST/ 5pm EST/10pm GMT (London-time). Please note that we will be talking about the Neptune and Chiron Station phases, inrelationship to our own birth charts.

If you would like to join live, you must register at least an hour before the live event starts (before 1pm PST/4pm EST) -- if you register after that time you will receive an mp4-video presentation of this event.

Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. To register now, click here

This week's headline items: a long-term aspect between Saturn and Chiron becomes exact on Thursday evening. The Full Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Friday night/Saturday very early morning and Mercury changes signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius on Sunday afternoon.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late afternoon (for a little over 9.5 hours), Thursday late evening (for a little over 6.5 hours), and Sunday early morning (for almost an hour).

Monday (October 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day. It will journey there until next week Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (Oct. 31st/Nov. 1st).This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Monday morning starts out with a nice feeling of ease and an ability to trust and connect deeply with others. As best as you can, trust your intuitive sensing right now, allow whatever comes up to be beneficial for you.

Monday late afternoon/early evening: we feel more sensitive and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours.

Tuesday (Oct. 31st): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 5:08pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 9.5 hours, until 2:43am EDT (Wednesday very early morning). We are pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we experience a desire for inner silence, emotional oneness, and the flow of creativity through us.

On the other hand, we want to explore our belief structures and how they relate to the outside world. We may therefore feel anxious or restless; as best as you can, slow down, acknowledge what is, know that all is well in each "now moment".

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening and night ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday (November 1st) at 2:43am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Friday early morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:37am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday early morning on; it will remain strong until Saturday morning. This aspect is a wonderful possibility for deep emotional healing in regards to our conditioning and day-to-day thinking structures.

We can bring compassion, for ourselves and others, to emotionally "difficult" communications. We are able to allow more for the flow of feelings as we share ourselves; forgiveness and understanding towards ourselves and others comes more easily now in general.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Thursday (Nov. 2nd): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday very early morning for details).

Thursday early evening, a long-term, challenging Saturn/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from October 7th on; it will remain strong until November 27th. This is the third time within the past 10 months that this aspect has become exact, the first being Nov. 30th - Feb. 27th; the second time: March 5th - June 1st.

What came up for you in regards to embracing your insecurities around that time (especially around Dec. 28th and April 30th)? Did you gain insight into your own humanity? Or perhaps your healing journey connected to past wounding?

We are being invited to grow and stretch ourselves when it comes to two very different energies: our sensitivities and insecurities, versus our inner sense of authority and "getting it right".

This can stir up feelings of inadequacy -- that we're not competent or effective... We could be confronted with limitations -- our own, and those of others. A sense of separation or loneliness is very possible with this aspect.

The desire to "walk the talk" is quite strong -- but those feelings of inadequacy may leave us feeling blocked, with low energy and confidence. "Slow and steady" is the key here -- and it's critical to keep checking our beliefs and keeping up our emotional/spiritual connections.

Work on self-acceptance and self-compassion; be honest with yourself about your own limitations and your expectations towards others (or life in general). This may take some time, but eventually it will yield a healthy, realistic approach toward our sensitivities and insecurities.

Questions you can ask yourself during this aspect: What am I learning about my inner resilience? What if respecting myself fully was just a decision? What attitudes do I need to eliminate to achieve greater alignment with my own humanity and my world?

Here's a few bonus questions: Could I maybe meet other people's demands, rules or expectations, without feeling limited or stopped by them? Could the same be true about my own (demands, rules and expectations)? What might humility do for me?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn (Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Thursday evening, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:02pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday early morning on; it will remain strong until Friday. This aspect also operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

It could be hard to make decisions under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions, or our problem-solving ability. It may also be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate, leading to misunderstandings: we tend to feel uncomfortable -- a sort of "inner itchiness".

As best you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you -- and empower yourself and others by coming from love rather than fear -- after all, in this moment, aren't you actually ok?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 25-27 degrees of Scorpio or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Thursday at 11:03pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 6.5 hours, until at 5:46am EDT (Friday early morning). If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to connect to people that can enthusiastically support your projects and share with them what you have going on.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday night and Friday early morning ahead of time ;-)

Friday (Nov. 3rd): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries and VoC until 5:46am EDT (see Wednesday very early morning for details).

Friday early morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:30am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will remain strong until Friday late evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We may feel uneasy or insecure in our relationships -- and be faced with a choice -- we must develop an inner awareness if we are to see what needs adjusting.

As you can imagine, this could make social interactions somewhat awkward; as best as you can, connect with kindness towards all (including yourself :-)

We may also have a hard time making financial decisions that feel satisfactory. As best as you can, bring a good dose of compassion and understanding to yourself and embrace your own humanity as much as possible... and remember: like everything else, this is only temporary ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Friday early morning, an opportune Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 4:31am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will remain strong until Saturday evening. This aspect gives us an opportunity to bring a sense of realism to our relationships, values, and financial affairs: We are more able to see what really needs to be dealt with in those areas and take responsibility for our handling of them.

On a financial level, we have an opportunity to see more clearly when and how we might make long-term investments. There's no need to rush anything; think it through carefully and responsibly -- do the "due diligence". Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us, we have to "take" it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Friday at 5:46am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Sunday early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-) This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon (exact on Friday night/Saturday very early morning). Click here to watch my Full Moon video

Friday afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 3:23pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Monday evening (Nov. 6th). This aspect could be tremendously supportive when it comes to dissolving what no longer serves us.

Our intuition, imagination, and inspiration all seem to be "zeroed in". We go beyond "tolerance", to lovingly embrace differences in others, and give where it's needed with open hearts and hands. All of this also feeds in to any creative and spiritual endeavors that start around this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 8-15 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Saturday (Nov. 4th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Friday early morning for details).

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, a Venus/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 1:02am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Monday morning (Nov. 6th). This opposition calls us to balance "togetherness" with "having our space".

We may find that we disagree with others. We may be restless, even anxious, and therefore feel pressure to act (and react) impulsively towards others -- or towards our finances. Try your best not to put all your money on a horse, just because it has a funny name, or elope with a random hottie ;-)

We could also be caught off-guard somehow, so stay open-minded and flexible. Do not get a facelift or any kind of beauty treatment that has the potential to go horribly wrong. I'm not kidding.

If there were a way to fully express our individuality in our relationships, without needing to pull or push away... what might that way be? Could you shake things up a little, without being oppositional or offensive?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, at 1:23am EDT, the Full Moon in almost 12 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this Lunation build from the moment the Moon entered Taurus on Friday early morning (you may want to watch my video on the subject).

All Full Moons offer opportunities for us to see things in a new light, and guide us toward balance and integration, rather than polarization and division. Full Moons also illuminate the truth and consequences of our choices.

The Sun is in Scorpio and the Moon is in Taurus... We can expect a heightening of tension between the realms of light and dark -- the conscious and unconscious realities -- as the Sun and Moon approach their monthly opposition.

This is also a "Super" Full Moon. SuperMoons occur when the Moon is either Full or New while at its closest distance to the Earth -- and they are therefore more powerful. Since all Full Moons tend to flush up what's been in the shadow (i.e. unconscious or denied), our emotions can be more volatile than usual; and this is especially true of a SuperMoon.

This could very well mean a need for greater awareness around the issues connected to the Full Moon energy in question. In this case, that's the Scorpio/Taurus polarity -- so let's look at those energies in more detail:

Scorpio's highest vibration is all about us connecting to our deepest passions, letting go of our emotional attachments or traumas from the past — in other words, overcoming our fears and connecting deeply, intimately and authentically to ourselves and others. Scorpio also teaches us to embrace all of who we are, so we can be authentic and thus feel empowered.

Scorpio ultimately teaches us that every ending is also a beginning -- but the lower vibrations of Scorpio tend to bring up trust issues, black-and-white thinking, addiction to drama and darkness (or substances) -- and anything we want to prevent. We could find ourselves coming from an instinctual, self-protective place, rather than from a place of intuitive, love-based spaciousness.

The other pole in this balancing act is Taurus, which seeks a healthy relationship with the physical world — our body, our planet, and our personal resources (for example our money, assets and talents) and our highest values.

We learn about the power of beauty and what makes us happy on the physical level. We develop our talents and sense of self-worth -- and can discover and manifest what we truly value and enjoy.

If we are to experience of the highest vibration of Taurus, a healthy sense of self-worth is critical, so ask yourself:

What matters most to me? What makes me happy deep down? What is in the way of me honoring my gifts and talents? Of feeling confident and valued in the world? What if I was the only one of me there will ever be? What might my value be then?

In Taurus, we discover what we most require; in Scorpio, we explore what we most desire -- and what we most fear.

Fear, like everything else, is energy. If we focus on what we don't want, instead of what we do, it will stir up uncomfortable sensations in our feeling body and our physical body...

For the next two weeks, I want to invite you to get in touch with your physical body; check in periodically where you experience sensations that either feel dense or uncomfortable. Here's some questions you might find helpful with this process:

Where in my body do these sensations show up? Could I simply give myself permission to feel these sensations rather than trying to label them, manage them, change them, or figure out what to do about them? How might my breath give these sensations love, space and acceptance?

If I close my eyes and visualize the energy in my body, is it holding or moving? Could I simply notice the sensations? And could I notice the space that is around and through those sensations?

As best as you can, go back and forth between acknowledging the sensations, and the space between the sensations, until you feel no separation between the two poles.

Venus, the traditional ruler of Taurus as well as Libra, is in a close opposition to Uranus at 26° Aries. This suggests that victory in the struggle to love and value ourselves lies in the realization that we are individual, unique beings, and as such we need to allow ourselves to have some space from others, while honoring and allowing our differences.

This could bring some restlessness, or a desire to break free, perhaps related to our finances or one-on-one relationships. As best as you can, don't take things too personally -- and stay as flexible as possible. Excitement over something new can serve as an antidote to rash or impulsive decision-making that threatens to interfere with relationships or any of our personal goals.

As best as you can, balance "togetherness" with "having my space". We could also be caught off-guard here somehow, so stay open-minded and flexible; ask yourself: If there was a way to fully express my individuality in my relationships without the need to pull or push away... what might that way be? Could I shake things up a little without going oppositional?

This aspect also shows us that happiness lies neither in separating ourselves from others, nor in always trying to please them, but in discovering and honoring who we really are -- our own special flavor and unique coloring :-)

There are several Quincunxes in this Full Moon chart (Venus in Libra quincunx Chiron in Pisces, and Mercury in Scorpio quincunx Uranus in Aries). They nudge us to pay attention to details and be willing to think out of the box -- I heard an expression recently that applies here: "Life is a series of adjustments".

Venus quincunx Chiron: an "awkwardness" may be felt in social situations -- we may be unsure whether to seek outward connection and harmony, or turn inward to lick old wounds. The keyword here is "forgiveness".

We are all divine beings who have taken physical form; as such, we face the complexity of relating to many levels of ourselves — physical, emotional, mental, spiritual/energetic -- and that's before "others" show up! How might I approach my relationships differently, considering all those levels of my Being? What would "Forgiveness" say to me if it were standing right here?

As best as you can, bring a good dose of compassion and understanding to your inner wounded child and embrace your own humanity as much as possible... Might a responsible approach contribute to inner healing?

Mercury quincunx Uranus: this aspect invites us to hang out with some inner discomfort, rather than push through it or back away. It could be hard to make decisions under this influence and therefore we tend to feel uncomfortable -- a sort of "inner itchiness". As best you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you... Keep in mind that impulsive communications might backfire. Flexibility is key -- what calls out to be adjusted from the inside out?

Ask yourself frequently: In this moment, am I perhaps actually ok? If I don't go off into memory, or make up imaginary future scenarios, if I just look here and now... is there actually anything "wrong" with right now? Again, as best as you can, use the breath to refocus your mind and bring it into the present moment.

Venus sextiles Saturn, bring us an opportunity to form long-term commitments with others, to be more practical, and to appreciate maturity. Ask yourself: Do I live in accordance with what I truly value? Where would I put boundaries to communicate a healthy sense of self-love? Could I allow myself to take my time instead of rushing into something?

On a financial level, we get a chance to get real about what comes in and goes out, and maybe even manifest our desires into the outer world. This hinges on making adjustments and staying flexible with regards to our own inner healing processes (Venus quincunx Chiron).

Neptune in Pisces makes a Sextile to the Moon in Taurus and a Trine to Sun in Scorpio. This combo opens a door to all the mysterious energies around us; our sensitivity, creativity, intuition and imagination are heightened.

This quote sums it up very nicely: “The Divine lives within the natural world... Now is the time to light our candles by recharging our spiritual practices, and becoming increasingly conscious of the spiritual realities that lie beneath the surface appearances of the things, places and people we see around us…”  -- Clarissa Estes

By tapping into our five senses and what's beyond them, we get a chance to truly connect with all of who we are: the physical, emotional, mental and energetic bodies that coexist in the realm of our experience here on Earth, and that are true of each Earthling... ;-) Ask yourself: What practices might support me in tapping more fully into all of my senses, including the sixth?

Neptune starts its station on Nov. 10th; Chiron will follow suit on Nov. 25th. We will address the Neptune and Chiron Station phases, in more detail -- in relationship to our own Birth charts -- in our upcoming Forecasting Forum on Nov. 6th. Feel free to join us; I especially recommend it if you have Pisces as your Sun, Moon or Rising-sign, or you have strong Neptune or Chiron signature in your birth chart (Neptune or Chiron conjunct your Ascendant, Sun or Moon, for example). To register now, click here

The Sun in close proximity to Jupiter in Scorpio provides fuel for creativity and generosity... plus over-optimism and overconfidence. This is a good time to resolve conflicts, especially within intimate relationships and financial partnerships.

We might feel quite perky and "alive". Take advantage of this with a little self-promotion -- put yourself "out there" a little. Ask yourself: What might I want to share with others at this time about myself? How authentic can I get? What might be possible if I allowed myself to pierce below the surface and move towards my own emotional truth?

Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio; it's currently in Capricorn, trining the Moon and sextiling the Sun.This is a very powerful combo that provides an opportunity to let go of toxic behaviors around "worth" -- both self-worth and where we place value.

This could be an excellent period for finances. Work we've done might pay off -- we can manage our finances better, with more attention to sustainability, planning and strategy -- while eliminating anything that no longer serves us in this realm.

We uncompromisingly seek a deep, totally authentic connection with ourselves, and our long-term goals -- so do your best to be completely truthful with yourself about your motivations and needs.

Ask yourself: How realistic am I about what I can afford? What does that mean for me long-term? How empowered do I feel about my finances and my long-term goals? What am I feeling drawn to on a deep instinctual level? What do I feel passionate about? What values can I no longer compromise on?

All of this could also play out collectively between the long-term goals of our governing bodies and our relationship to the Earth's resources.

Use the power of this Full Moon to get grounded in your body, break up any stagnation in your system or relationships, and accelerate your transformation by immersing yourself in a deeper connection to all of life. Nature, moonlight, the ocean, a river or a stream... If you sat in silence and connected energetically to a spot in nature, what tales might it murmur? What if it could both fill you up and ground you deeper into your own body?

Here is another quote that seems quite fitting: "Do not focus on the dark and uncertain… Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach… Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it… remember who you came from and why you came to this beautiful, needful Earth.”  -- Curtis Lang and Jane Sherry

Here are a few final coaching questions for this Full Moon: If letting go always brought more freedom, what would I dare to release? If I knew for certain that holding on kept me small, could I then simply let go? Might that give my higher power the space to support and guide me?

Remember: gentleness towards ourselves creates an opening to heal and become whole. How gently could you treat yourself? For more on this Full Moon, click here to watch my video on the subject.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Sunday (Nov. 5th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:26am EDT (see Friday early morning for details).

Sunday at 4:29am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost an hour, until 5:26am EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for comfort and security with your desire for deeper emotional connections with yourself and others.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday early morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 5:26am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Tuesday early morning. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way... The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)

Sunday at 2:19pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from intense, passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio to optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius. Mercury will travel through Sagittarius until Jan. 11th, 2018 -- an unusually long time, due to Mercury's retrograde phase in December (Dec. 3rd - 22nd).

During this time, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation, to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics. We seek out ideals; our thinking is more optimistic and our faith increased. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade. With Jupiter in Scorpio right now, we are seeking a deep, authentic emotional connection with others.

There will likely be a lot of idealistic talk, and a desire for intimacy when sharing and connecting. As best as you can, listen to your thoughts, tossing the ones that are not in alignment with an empowering approach for everyone involved. Expand your thinking by tapping into your inner wisdom and connecting to a broader philosophy.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for expansion -- let's hope it's not your waistline that expands :-) Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Sagittarius? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty for the next 9 weeks.

Sunday is also the last full day for signing up for Monday's FORECASTING FORUM (the final deadline is Monday at 4pm). In this forum, we'll be covering the relationship of the Neptune and Chiron Station phases to our own birth charts. Our Deepest Motivations -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct. 23rd - Sun., Oct. 29th, 2017

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was just a tad bit stressful... possibly because the time right before the New Moon in Libra created some anxiousness and a feeling of uncertainty... I looked up the definition of uncertainty; it describes a situation involving imperfect and/or unknown information. It applies to predictions of future events, or to the unknown. And here is a quote from Jim Carrey that I like: "If you aren't in the moment, you are either looking forward to uncertainty, or back to pain and regret”.

This week's headline items: the Sun changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Monday (very early in the morning); the first Quarter Moon in Aquarius becomes exact on Friday evening. There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday early afternoon (for 7.5 hours), Thursday night/Friday very early morning (a little over 7.5 hours), and Sunday early afternoon (almost 7.5 hours).

Monday (October 23rd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittariusuntil Tuesday evening. We're strongly motivated to explore and learn. We're not likely to be big fans of routine -- diversity and new adventures work best at this time -- we're also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired -- but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we'd rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge -- just watch out you aren't overdoing or overstating things.

Monday at 1:27am EDT, the Sun changes signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until November 21st. The guiding principle of Scorpio is "I desire". With the Sun in Scorpio our consciousness is drawn towards depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling.

Superficiality simply will not do for the next 30 days. We have the desire to get to the bottom of what matters. We are more interested in that which is hidden, taboo, secret or suppressed. Scorpio's energy is passionate, strong-willed, and intense. Used in its highest vibration, it can be an immensely healing and transformative energy.

On a lower vibration, Scorpio can express jealousy, vindictiveness, and use manipulative tactics. Bring your awareness towards your feelings, fears and behaviors. As best as you can, embrace all your feelings, let go of your fears and strip yourself from behaviors that no longer serve you.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Scorpio Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Scorpio, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more aware of your own shadow parts… anything that you have suppressed or denied about yourself.

Monday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 4:11pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday evening on; it will remain strong until Tuesday night/Wednesday early morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

We may have an unrealistic sense of our ability to relate right now and be attracted to others based on inaccurate perceptions -- and on incorrect appraisals of who we are and where we are going. We might also get confused when we aren't able to connect with others in harmonious ways. As we show genuine self-acceptance, and trusting our connection to the divine, our range of expression for love increases.

It is also worthwhile to look more carefully at how our ideas are received by others. Can we involve them in our dreams? As best as you can, slow down: "If a thing is worth having, it's worth waiting for." Just for right now, could you simply have faith that everything will align eventually?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-13 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Tuesday (Oct. 24th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius  until 8:12pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 11:55am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will remain strong until this Thursday. This aspect supports imaginative thinking and the ability to connect our day-to-day mind with our intuition.

We pick up on what is going on with people, and can flow with that, as we can sense how our words land. This heightened sensitivity to subtle signals also opens us to metaphysical or spiritual concepts, visual arts, poetry -- and to commercial messaging from advertisers and marketers.

Do you have any of your personal planets or Ascendent in 8-15 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Tuesday at 12:44pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 7.5 hours until 8:12pm EDT. Use this intuitive time for connecting to like-minded people and learning something new about your unique self. Here's a question to ponder: How wide could your vision for humanity become?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday at 8:12pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures -- and those stories we tell ourselves about "what was", rather than what actually "is". It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".

As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not? This Moon placement starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later this evening).

Wednesday (Oct. 25th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornall day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Very early Wednesday morning: we get the opportunity to investigate our deepest motivations and align them with our long-term goals and achievements (if we are awake at this time, of course). We are capable of great focus for the next couple of hours. As with all opportunities in life, this one is not simply handed to us, we have to make something of it. Might deeper perspectives into your psyche move you closer to long-term goals?

Wednesday evening, we have an opportunity to soften our need for accomplishment with a gentler, more intuitive approach.

Thursday (Oct. 26th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Thursday afternoon, a Sun/Jupiter alignment in 3.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact at 2:09pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday (Oct. 22nd) on; it will remain strong until next week Monday (Oct. 30th). Ego gratification is the theme of this transit.

This is the start of a "new you" with more confidence and faith. We have a chance to create a world of adventure and personal growth. We feel optimistic -- and that helps us attract positive circumstances. If you've been thinking about launching a new long-term project, this would be an excellent time to do so; this is especially true for projects connected to the Scorpio energy.

This would include anything involving a deeper exploration of your unconscious drives, crisis management, death and/or rebirth, sexual endeavors and explorations, projects involving deep intimacy, or the search for a deeper more authentic connection to ourselves and others.

Science and research, trauma work, anything that involves shared resources, the power to heal, create, and transform, can also flourish at this time, as can financial partnerships. We may well feel more vital, confident, and optimistic when it comes to those projects.

This is a good time to resolve conflicts, especially within our intimate relationships, and financial partnerships. Events may give our ego a boost, and we could be feeling quite perky and "alive". Take advantage of this by promoting yourself or putting yourself "out there".

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-7 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter rules Sagittarius).

Thursday night/Friday very early morning at 1:22am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 7.5 hours until 8:59am EDT (Friday morning). You may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: On the one hand, a need for serious, diligent accomplishment -- and on the other, a desire to break free and rebel against obligations.

As best as you can, take some breaks, and "let your freak flag fly" -- just for a moment -- and revel in it! As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday night and Friday morning ahead of time ;-)

Friday (Oct. 27th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 8:59am EDT (see Tuesday evening for details).

Friday at 8:59am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Sunday evening. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.

For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.

The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later this evening).

Friday evening, at 6:22pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 4.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Aquarius... earlier today. The Moon in freedom-loving, progressive, detached, objective Aquarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in passionate, all-or-nothing, intimacy-craving Scorpio.

We feel compelled to take action. Last week on Oct. 19th, the New Moon in Libra became exact: "Seeds" planted then are probably "sprouting" by now -- and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-7 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Friday very late evening, a challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:21pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will remain strong until next week Monday (Oct. 30th). The Universe is asking us to stretch and grow.

Venus represents our relationships and that which we most value; these areas may undergo major transformations. This aspect challenges us to find meaning in our life through partnerships. We must now uncover the deeper layer of our life. With Pluto in the mix, social interactions could be intense.

You may see changes in financial status or relationships. In the latter, things erupt that have been brewing beneath the surface for some time; this may prove disruptive: As best you can, empower rather than disempower. We may become obsessed with our commitments and our partner during this time.

We may also experience Pluto through our partner, experiencing manipulation and controlling behaviors; we must be especially wary of resisting change and holding onto negative attachments. It's time to let go of destructive attachments and connections. How can we grow and evolve in our relationships? Is there a relationship that we need to grow and evolve out of?

This aspect could also express itself through sexual tension; there is a strong desire for love in its physical expression. However, keep your standards high, so you can come upon a love that fulfills all your needs -- definitely don't start a relationship with "just anyone", in order to avoid being alone.

Remember to be true to your own values; wait for someone with whom you can have a relationship based on trust, love and a genuine desire for intimacy -- and work on being worth finding, in the meantime :-) As best as you can, stay grounded in love, not fear. Stay flexible and open-minded. As best as you can, nurture yourself; make sure you have everything you need to be able to come from a place of inner strength & empowerment.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Friday very late evening, an opportune Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:25pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will remain strong until Sunday. This aspect is an opportunity to deepen or transform areas of our lives that need it. It's also an opportunity to do more research, so we can build something meaningful, all while learning about our authentic motivations.

Remember: opportunities aren't on "automatic"... we have to go after them, realize them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or personal planets in 15-19 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Saturday (Oct. 28th)the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Friday morning for details).

Saturday evening, we feel a flow and support towards socializing and connecting with others. Great ideas and concepts can be shared right now.

Also on Saturday evening: we may feel pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we experience a need for connecting with like-minded people and remaining objective; on the other hand, we want to go deeper, and communicate from a place of passion and empowerment.

We may thus have to address our fears and “issues”; as best as you can, make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies.

Sunday (October 29th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius  until 7:46pm EDT (see Friday morning for details).

Sunday at 12:22pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 7.5 hours until 7:46pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to fulfill your need for future exploration -- and allow for others to contribute new perspectives.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 7:46pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until next week Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (Oct. 31st/Nov. 1st). This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal.

**************
A head's up for next Monday (Oct. 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Piscesall day (see Sunday evening for details). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Mental Expansion -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct. 16th - Sun., Oct. 22nd, 2017

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week I felt really focused -- and I could definitely feel the energetic shift as Jupiter changed signs from Libra to Scorpio. I kind of like it! :-) Probably because it's in my first house... haha! Definitely get the October Forum if you weren't able to join us live... Great insights into the Jupiter-in-Scorpio journey through all the houses, and more!

This week's headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase starts on Monday early morning; Mercury changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Tuesday early morning; the New Moon in Libra becomes exact on Thursday afternoon; and Mars changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Sunday afternoon.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday morning (for a little over 6 hours), Thursday afternoon (for 6.5 hours), and Sunday morning (for 22 minutes).

Monday (Oct. 16th): the Moon remains indetail-oriented, practical Virgo all day. It will journey there until Tuesday early afternoon; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Monday early morning, the Balsamic Moon Phase begins when the Moon reaches 11 degrees of Virgo. This lasts until Thursday afternoon, when the New Moon in Libra becomes exact (more on that later...however, feel free to watch my video on the subject) We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition.

For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Monday morning, an opportune Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 7:13am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday morning on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday evening. This aspect provides an opportunity to become aware of what needs to happen if we are to accomplish something concrete.

We have common sense at our disposal; we are willing to look reality in the eye, and take responsibility for our lives and who is in it. This is also an opportunity to focus on being grounded and truthful in our connections with others. Again, remember: opportunities are openings, they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 21-25 degreesof Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius, or Leo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Tuesday (October 17th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 1:35pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 3:59am EDT, Mercury changes signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until November 5th. During those three weeks, we have the ability to focus on what's most important to us on a deep emotional level.

We can get to the very heart of any matter at this time (especially through conversation). We are more passionate about giving valid advice or support. We are not satisfied with superficial connection right now -- it's all or nothing.

For that reason, our mental processes could get a little obsessive. We may also be more suspicious and expect bad intentions. It's a time that favors reading or writing about intrigue, mystery, and hidden motives. Mercury in Scorpio loves anything that challenges the brain and therefore we are often interested in what makes people tick during this time.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for investigating deeper emotional issues or motives. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Scorpio? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty and mentally alert for the next 3 weeks.

Tuesday morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 6:03am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday evening on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday evening. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting -- this aspect calls for flexibility.

We experience an internal stress between our masculine energies (assertiveness/aggression) and our need to express our unique spark (and the desire to make a difference).

We are being asked to go within and look at our personal goals and desires -- and reach a new perspective on how we go about achieving them. Are we driven by personal resistance and rebellion, or motivated to positively impact humanity?

Once we get clear about what works and what doesn't, we will discover new ways to move forward and embrace our uniqueness in a healthy way; we can also learn how to improve our daily routines from a place of observation and practical application, without the perfectionism that's based on criticism, shame and blame.

How might you get in touch with your inner genius and share it with humility? What might "being of service" to my vision of my future self look like? What might be possible if I could get 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-28 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus rules Aquarius ).

Tuesday at 7:27am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 6 hours until 1:35pm EDTUse this intuitive time to make those work or health improvements that you've been meaning to get to. Make well-being your goal! As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Tuesday ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday at 1:35pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, whereit will journey until Thursday late evening. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Wednesday (October 18th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libraall day (see Tuesday afternoon for details).

Wednesday early morning, a Mercury/Jupiter alignment in 1.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact at 4:54am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday night on; it will remain strong until this Friday. This alignment brings optimism and a tendency to talk and think more. It favors writing, research, sharing resources, submitting applications and forms, and test-taking.

We can more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and find it easier to bring a new perspective to our intimate relationships. There is a sense of mental expansion; we see our world as a setting for constant adventure and have a passion for personal growth. We might also get a little obsessed with learning something or exploring something new.

We are optimistic and enthusiastic -- and things tend to go well as a result. It's all about thinking big, while simultaneously going into deeper, more authentic emotional connections with ourselves and others... What if an expanding our conception or perspective of intimacy, inner power and emotional safety with others could help us create those deeper, authentic, emotional connections? And what if that helped us manifest our desires?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 28-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn, Cancer, or 0-5 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Mercury's movements and aspects; Jupiter rules Sagittarius)

Wednesday morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 8:05am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will remain strong until Thursday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

We may feel an internal dilemma around our ability to get things done -- a drop in our self-confidence and self-esteem. This could lead to us "hiding out"... which leaves us feeling strangely guilty... which leads to us saying weird things... and we end up thinking "did I really just say that?"

As best as you can, be kind and compassionate with yourself -- forgive yourself for having a human moment -- this will support your healing process.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules of Leo)

Wednesday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact...This is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days has passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

Thursday (October 19th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 9:41pm EDT (see Tuesday afternoon for details).

Thursday afternoon, a Sun/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 1:35pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday. What we identify ourselves with could now be challenged: we are asked to create balance between our urge for personal freedom, versus our awareness of the importance of harmonious interactions with others.

This aspect is an invitation to stay open and flexible in regards to our interactions with people. We may have to make some changes or adjustments with our personal goals or within our relationships. As best as you can, be open to receiving feedback from others during this time.

If you experience fear or uncertainty, focus on what it is that you could really get excited about and get behind in a passionate way -- something that could make a difference, something meaningful. Also, take it one moment at a time, there is no need to rush anything ;-) Could you allow yourself to be uncomfortable, just for right now?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 23-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn, Cancer, or0 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aquarius (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius).

Thursday afternoon, at 3:12pm EDTthe Moon aligns with the Sun in 26.5 degrees of Libra, beginning a new Moon cycle. The New Moon is an introverted time -- we go within to learn what we wish to align ourselves with for the next 28 days. With the New Moon in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, this will likely be win-win situations, fair exchanges, and harmony in relationships. If you'd like to learn more about all this, check out my New Moon video

All relationships begin with our relationship to ourselves; everything “out there” is really "inside us"... Interacting with another person is a co-creative, equal exchange; we must be both centered within ourselves, yet tuned into each other, all the while responding to the rhythm of life.

Here are some useful questions to ask yourself for this new Moon cycle: Where is the balance point? What if harmony and peace were mine to create? What comes up for me when I hear the phrase: "the art of relationship"?

The Libra energy encourages us to see both sides of a situation and find the middle path (or better yet, a win-win). In order to reconcile opposite energies, we need to seek the highest and best outcome for everyone involved -- in other words, we need to see everyone as equally deserving -- including ourselves.

Libra represents the quest for the reconciliation of opposites, especially our masculine and feminine, active and receptive sides. Opposites attract in order to become whole. To achieve unity, we have to integrate dichotomies — but usually, we tend to identify with one end of a polarity and project the other onto other people, or groups of people.

The New Moon opposes Uranus in Aries, creating an awareness around our various one-on-one relationships. Uranus correlates with sudden insights, revelations, and shifts in perception that lead to radical changes in our lives; in Aries, it impels us to break free from the shadow side of Libra.

Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for connection with my desire for freedom? What new insights point towards a one-sided relationship? Where does co-dependency show up in my life? Where do I feel "less than" or "more than" with another person? Do any of my relationships stifle my unique spark? What if I reexamined all those relationships and changed or ended them?

The New Moon in a late degree of Libra aligns with Jupiter in an early degree of Scorpio. We are asked to shift our perception around how we relate to others, ourselves, and the world. We are invited to bring a deeper perspective to the search for inner and outer balance. Ask yourself: What do I believe about relationships? How could a deeper emotional commitment support greater intimacy in my relationships?

Superficiality is not an option with this placement. We are interested in digging deeper into understanding our motivations for relationships.

Here are some more questions you can ask yourself: Why am I attracted to certain relationships? How acceptable is it for me to share my deepest fears with others? What am I afraid to share? How close is too close -- or not close enough? What are other people's motivations? Why are they in it?

How can I create a balance between my inner masculine & feminine (active and receptive) energies? What do I love or hate about others? How do I respond to those traits within myself?

Feel free to also read my article about Jupiter in Scorpio, or watch our October Forum -- we talked about the Jupiter transit through Scorpio in great detail,as it relates to our own Birth Charts. If you want to know how this planetary movement will impact you personally for the next year, click here and add the Monthly Forecasting Forum to your cart ;-)

The New Moon makes a quincunx to Chiron in Pisces, which indicates that we still have some inner adjustments to make around our personal and collective healing processes. What might true acceptance and kindness look like towards ourselves, others, and the world at large?

The New Moon also sextiles Saturn in Sagittarius, which gives us the opportunity to build a solid foundation for how we want to interact with others. When we explore our beliefs about life, we can take a more mature stand with others and have more solid and real collaborations.

Ask yourself: What might be possible if I didn't make any assumptions about others? What if I took 5% more responsibility for the beliefs and expectations I project onto other people? What if rushing myself or others simply didn’t work?

Venus (ruler of Libra) is in its own sign. Venus connects us to our heart chakra; in this particular placement, it invites us to show kindness, evenhandedness, and a willingness to make our relationships work.

Ask yourself: What does "treating others fairly" mean to me? What does "being treated fairly" mean to me? What does the "ideal" relationship look like to me? Could I give myself permission to drop my expectations and my "shoulds" around relationships just for right now?

What would it take to create relationships that honor both parties equally? How could honoring myself contribute to that result? What might be possible if I gave myself permission to approve of myself, right here, right now -- for no particular reason -- just “because"?

We also have a T-Square in this New Moon chart: Saturn in Sagittarius is the focal point, squaring Chiron in Pisces and Mars in Virgo.

The desire to "walk the talk" is quite strong -- but feelings of inadequacy may wear down our energy and confidence, leaving us feeling blocked. "Slow and steady" is again the key here -- and it's critical to keep checking our beliefs and keeping up our emotional/spiritual connections.  Any attempt to rush will result in inappropriate boundaries, rigidity, anxiety or overwhelm.

Work on self-acceptance and self-compassion; be honest with yourself about your own limitations and your expectations towards others (or life in general). This may take some time, but eventually it will yield a healthy, realistic approach toward our sensitivities and insecurities.

What calls out for clarity? What role does "compassion" play in all of this? Could I move just a tiny bit further away from rigid, fearful thinking and assuming, to thoughtful, mature contemplation and communication? What if I prioritized where I put my focus?

We experienced a similar T-square 4 weeks ago, at the time of the New Moon in Virgo. Feel free to watch my last New Moon video for a more in depth exploration of this T-Square — and I especially recommend the coaching questions from that last NM video (and here they are ;-):

Ask yourself: What attitudes keep me out of alignment with my own humanity and my world? What if I took a break from convincing others? What if connecting to my inner truth was enough? What might humility do for me?

In order to heal and feel the interconnectedness of all of life, we have to transcend dogmatism and denial, guilt and blame, martyrdom and victimhood. What might a healthy, realistic approach toward my sensitivities and insecurities look like?

This can start with a set of simple questions: What is true right now? What works? How is that different from what was true 10 or 20 years ago? How can I release "old" dogmas? Could I stop "waiting to be saved"? What role does guilt play in my perception of life?

How do I communicate my thoughts to others? Do I actually communicate them? Could I bring 5% more maturity and responsibility to my communications and thought structures?

If this New Moon in Libra had a core message, it would be this:
As best as we can, seek mutually beneficial relationships without compromising your essentials self, values and goals. Ask yourself: What does interconnectedness mean to me? How is it different from co-dependency?

Here's a thought: what if, the more we can approve of ourselves, the easier it would get to create relationships that honor both parties equally? If you'd like to learn more about all this, check out my New Moon video

Also, again this month, in connection with the New Moon, my dear friend Krista Mitchell is back! She is an amazing Spiritual Author, Crystal Teacher, and Mystic, has recorded a Guided Meditation that is custom-tailored to this New Moon's energies. Her Meditations are designed to give you some extra support and guidance for the beginning of each Lunar cycle!

If this resonates, go to Krista's website: www.krista-mitchell.com scroll down to the bottom of her home page, and purchase your mediation there ;-) I have done many guided mediations with Krista, and in my humble opinion, she is The Best

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 9:41pm Thursday evening (Oct.19th) and 3:12pm EDT Saturday afternoon (Oct. 21st).

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), feel free to join my Facebook Fanpage or follow me on twitter I will be posting reminders on Thursday evening, Friday throughout the day and Saturday before 3:12pm EDT, to let you know when it is time to set your intentions ;-)

Part of the reason for this is that on Thursday at 3:12pm EDT, at the exact same time as the New Moon becomes exact, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 6.5 hours until 9:41pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to simply be still. Connect to your body's wisdom, pamper yourself and others; do your best to articulate for yourself what you need in the moment.

Surprisingly, this will actually bring clarity to what we need from ourselves and others -- and of course, it will help tremendously toward having a breakthrough, or at least some forward movement. Finally, as always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 9:41pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday morning. We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever... as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction -- it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It's therefore an excellent time to look at "old" fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity -- it's "in or out", "with us or against us", "love me or leave me". It can therefore be stormy -- a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we "work" the energies :-)

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward -- act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings -- no matter if they're "polite" or "timely". Feelings aren't facts, but they are information -- and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself -- and love thyself -- you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and that's ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Thursday after 9:41pm EDT, it's now time to start setting your Intentions for this Moon cycle. For more details on how to set New Moon Intentions, click here

Friday (October 20th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Thursday late evening for details).

Friday all day: If you haven't gotten around to it yet, set your Intentions for this Moon cycle... If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon ;-) For more details on how to set New Moon Intentions, click here

Friday morning: we are looking to connect and communicate with others on a deeper level; it might also be a great time for research and diving beneath the surface of things.

Friday evening, we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process and going with the flow are key!

Saturday (October 21st): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Thursday late evening for details).

Saturday until 3:12pm EDT is still time toset your Intentions for this Moon cycle... this is your last chance to use the best and most potent time possible for setting your Intentions! If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon ;-)

Saturday early morning, we feel good about making deeper connections; we'll have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task, something that might serve us long-term.

Saturday late evening: we are capable being compassionate and forgiving with ourselves and others. A gentle approach is best.

Sunday (October 22nd): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 7:57am EDT (see Thursday late evening for details).

For the 22 minutes between 7:35am and 7:57am EDT on Sunday, the Moon is void of course (VoC); use this intuitive time to "flow with the go" and use it as an opportunity to connect to others (and yourself) on an authentic level. Could you allow yourself to trust others? Could you let yourself take flowing actions that improve your "day-to-day"?

Sunday at 7:57am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Tuesday evening.

Sunday at 2:29pm EDT, Mars changes signs from detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo to relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking, justice and equality-oriented Libra. Mars will journey through Libra until December 9th. When Mars is in Libra, we are more inclined to put our energy into projects that involve equal partnerships, cooperation and justice.

We are also looking to achieve physical balance. Passions may run high during this time; sexual tension and competitiveness with others is also possible. It can be a stimulating, creative, passionate and invigorating time.

That said, we might seek more independence in our relationships — and patience with others is most likely not going to be our strong suit. As best as you can, use this energy to initiate new relationships and to find harmonious solutions for relationship issues. Give your body time to connect to that place of inner balance.

Mars last journeyed through Libra from Nov. 12th, 2015 until Jan. 3rd, 2016. Think back to that time and ask yourself: What projects were underway? What got initiated? How can I take those to the next level?

If you have an Aries Sun- or Rising-sign, you are going to be quite a bit more focused on relationship issues and justice. If you are a Libra Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 7.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.

**************
A head's up for next Monday (Oct. 23rd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Sunday morning for details). Monday at 1:27am EDT, Sun moves from Libra into Scorpio where it will journey until November 21st. In the afternoon, a somewhat challenging Venus/Neptune aspectbecomes exact at 4:11pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday evening on; it will remain strong until Tuesday evening. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
