For me, last week was all about managing my responsibilities and making sure that I don't neglect my physical and emotional needs in the meantime. This quote sums it all up: "Responsibility is a unique concept... You may share it with others, but your portion is not diminished. You may delegate it, but it is still with you... If responsibility is rightfully yours, no evasion, or ignorance or passing the blame can shift the burden to someone else." -- Hyman G. Rickover (Admiral, United States Navy)
Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
If you missed our last FORECASTING FORUM, feel free to purchase the mp4-video presentation of this wonderful event. We talked about the Jupiter transit through Scorpio until Nov. 2018 in great detail,in relationship to our own Birth charts.
"Really enjoyed Oct. 6th Forum. Feeling much clearer and prepared for Jupiter's 13 month transit through Scorpio. Great clarity about the houses this transit moves through and the opportunities that lay ahead. With much gratitude." -- Terry B.

This week's headline items: On Tuesday, Pluto ends its station, and Jupiter changes signs from Libra to Scorpio. The last Quarter Moon in Cancer becomes exact on Thursday morning; Venus changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Saturday morning.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday evening (for a little over 5 hours), Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for a little over 2.5 hours), and Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (for almost 6 hours),
Monday (October 9th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Geminiall day. It will journey there until Tuesday late evening. Until then, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way... The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)
Monday morning, a challenging Mercury/Pluto aspectbecomes exact at 8:26am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday evening on; it will remain strong until Wednesday evening. This aspect creates some tension in our lives. We may feel anxious or stressed by one or more situations or interactions to do with one-on-one relationships.
We are being invited to grow and make some changes in our lives, particularly in terms of our thinking processes. We are being asked tofind creative solutions and be completely honest with ourselves and others. The best way to achieve this is by the continual practice of self-care and self-nurturing.
We have tremendous focus and drive right now, which can tip into obsession. With this aspect an all-or-nothing attitude is very likely. Choose love over fear whenever possible. Not many people enjoy being second-guessed all the time, yet that is something that we are inclined to do now.
However, our determination to get to the bottom of any matter, to rip away falsehoods and expose true motives, can be used for good if we employ it in our work, for example, in regards to investigations or research. This is an opportunity to learn to harness our intense mental energy and apply it productively. We are also capable of very hard work, focus and effort now.
We have a great love of debate, but should be careful that we don't overpower others with our strong opinions, attempting to "convert" them to our frame of mind, or treat regular exchanges of opinion as battlegrounds. Connect to others, empowering them with what you feel passionate about. Choose your words carefully, from a deeply connected and empowered place.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Monday evening, a challenging Sun/Pluto aspectbecomes exact at 8:12pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday night on; it will remain strong until this Thursday night. What we identify ourselves with could now be challenged. This aspect forces us to confront our will, power, assertion, and authority.
Coming into focus now: the relationship with a father- or other important male-figures. We may face the need to be more independent, assertive, and autonomous.
We may alienate others with a controlling, jealous, or overbearing manner. This manner stems from a deep fear of letting go and surrendering to the idea that some things cannot be directed or controlled. We are learning to detach from (let go of) something or someone that no longer serves us -- the "something" could include attitudes.
This fear may lead us to compulsive, suspicious, or difficult behavior, costing us the very thing that we hold dear. As best as you can, open yourself up to the power of love within. When you do, you will discover your own strength, and rework your very identity. Perhaps most importantly, this aspect puts us face to face with exactly what's been holding us back from leading a fuller, more meaningful life.
We may have to make some changes or adjustments with our long-term goals or within our relationships. As best as you can, be open to receiving feedback from others during this time.
If you feel pressured into doing something or you feel a power struggle build, as best as you can, get centered, get grounded and use your creativity to find win/win situations. This aspect is a major growth opportunity for us: we struggle with buried elements of our personality and ego, learning to face, accept and transform them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun is the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Tuesday (Oct. 10th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 11:38pm EDT (see Monday for details).
Tuesday at 9:20am EDT, Jupiter moves from relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking Libra into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until November 8th, 2018. Jupiter has a 12-year cycle, so the last time it traveled through this transformative sign was from Oct. 2005 to Nov. 2006; the time before that was Nov. 1993 to Dec. 1994.
Think back to those times... what possibilities or opportunities arose for you? In what ways did you grow or expand? What felt like a birth or a new beginning at that time? How could you take all of that to the next level?
One thing to keep in mind when looking at those dates in the past: you are no longer the same person. Your level of consciousness that you have now, is very different from what is was 12 or 24 years ago. The past never repeats itself in the same exact way, especially not when we have been continually growing and evolving on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level!
Jupiter symbolizes the principle of expansion; in Libra it holds a magnifying glass over “fair play", moderation and balance within our relationships and our environment -- and changes our perspective on justice and peace. Since Libra is all about weighing our options and wanting to be fair and just, we tend to not make decisions very easily, rather we tend to go back and forth, back and forth, trying to get to the ideal of what we are seeking.
With Jupiter in Scorpio, the magnifying glass now swings over to authentic, emotional commitments or connections. We are invited to seek a deeper understanding of our subconscious drives and fears, of any suppressed or denied parts of ourselves, so we can feel more fully and authentically connected to all parts of ourselves (and thereby feel empowered). Everything in the human unconscious is lit up.
Jupiter promotes a greater understanding of all of our emotions (the good the bad and the ugly, the instinctual and intuitive) and our ability or inability to have intimacy. We tend to have more of an all-or-nothing, do-or-die attitude towards life… Sex, money, power, shared resources and emotional vitality (i.e. passion) become key issues.
We can definitely attract the most good fortune when we give our “all” into a project or undertaking -- and use our magnetic powers to heal others.
For the next 13 months, we are supported in discovering our motivations and releasing what holds us back from achieving our true desires. We’re also supported in feeling fully empowered in collaborations with others. This is a good time for dealing with outdated psychological patterns, clearing out the basement, or embarking on an deep, meaningful adventure.
The phase now beginning emphasizes detoxing and clearing out what is "broken" or unhealthy, thereby giving us a new lease on life. We are more passionate and persistent at this time. We learn about giving up something in order to get (or create) something empowering (for ourselves and others — empowerment is key!)
This process very well could operate on an unconscious level, so any shadow work that we invest in will pay off; we are able to feel more optimistic about our discoveries and we gain a new perspective about those suppressed or denied parts of ourselves.
Since Scorpio also deals with other people's resources, we can see greater possibilities when it comes to financial collaborations, and any gifts or talents that others offer us. Merging and connecting our talents with others will most likely feel exhilarating and create a fresh start or a new birth of some kind.
We are also more likely to be enthusiastic for deeper studies and meanings -- all that is taboo or mysterious (perhaps even occult), psychology, research of all types and levels... and the possibility for deep bonding, whether on a physical or emotional level.
Questions you could ask yourself: What might promote a deeper connection to myself? Is there a journey I could embark on that would open my eyes to a deeper understanding of my own psyche? What needs to end, for a renewed empowerment and passion for life to emerge?
Collectively, we will probably see the full spectrum of possibilities expressed; Scorpio is complex, with potentially high, positive meanings, along with darker ones. That which is taboo is brought to the surface. We see our fears crystalized and expressed in the outside world.
The lower vibrations of Scorpio such as repression, obsession, dark and heavy brooding, addictions, extreme behaviors and power struggles might show up as well. No matter what we experience on a collective level, ultimately, if we are open to seeing the bigger picture, our own personal journey will guide us into a deeper understanding of ourselves.
Saturn moved through Scorpio from Oct. 2012 until Dec. 2014, and June 2015 until Sept. 2015. As Jupiter moves over the same ground in our charts, we get an opportunity to build on the structures and groundwork that was laid back then. Think back to that time: Did you do the work? What structures did you build at that time? What has changed for you since? How could you create a bigger win or opportunities now?
Where does the Jupiter-in-Scorpio transit fall in your own birth chart? What aspects does it make during the year-long transit? How does a wise response to one house support a more fruitful response to the next one? What outward opportunities arise as Jupiter interacts with any of your personal planets?
If you’d like more insight into those questions, we also covered the Jupiter movement into Scorpio in more detail in our last Forecasting Forum -- if you want to know how this planetary movement is impacting you personally, feel free to purchase the video-presentation of the last webinar -- we applied the Jupiter movement to our own birth charts! Tuesday early evening, a Venus/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 5:03pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday night on; it will remain strong until this Thursday night. This opposition asks us to create a balance between our emotional healing process and our relationships.
We may feel insecure around others at this time; we need to first heal our own deep fears of not being "good enough", learning to love ourselves -- and then seeing how we can meet our partners halfway. As best as you can, bring the gift of compassion, understanding and forgiveness to your own insecurities or feelings of unworthiness -- then gift that to others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 22-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces,Sagittarius or Gemini ? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).
Tuesday at 6:25pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 5 hours until 11:38pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others, exchange information, and move personal projects forward.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening ahead of time ;-)
Tuesday at 11:38pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon, exact on Thursday morning (more about that later...)
Also on Tuesday, Pluto resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. What has come up in the last three weeks around long-term goals? How empowered or disempowered do you feel about them? Now is a good time to move forward. Empower yourself and others, keep your heart wide open, tap into your inner strength and passion for your projects and long-term goals.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries? If so, you would have felt Pluto's station more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)
Wednesday (Oct. 11th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Tuesday late evening for details).
Wednesday late morning, a challenging Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 9:37am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday night on; it will remain strong until next week Monday (October 16th). This is a "stretch" aspect -- it's characterized by inner conflict -- as well as a maturity process that requires adjustments and flexibility on our part.
On the one hand, we want to polish our daily routines and pursue greater well-being; we probably feel impatient about any projects connected to health and nutrition, as well as any scientific approach to our improved work-flow.
On the other hand, we need to focus on exploring “the truth” about life -- an understanding of what beliefs are truthful and aligned with our own experiences. We are being asked to build a solid foundation and take a realistic approach to our expectations about life.
As best as you can, make space for both of these desires.
We also tend to be more cautious now. We may experience a temporary loss of enthusiasm -- or setbacks that make us doubt our ability to win in life. We are learning to live life in moderation; this might be frustrating at first.
Pushing too hard (or too fast) doesn't always get us the results we want: It might be time to slow down a little and catch our breath. That way, we can come back later, with a stronger, more mature set of expectations and approaches.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 20-26 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini, or Pisces? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars rules Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).
Wednesday late afternoon, a somewhat challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 5:04pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until Thursday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
Learning to let go of the past means being willing to release relationships we have outgrown. Learning ways to abruptly alter our circumstances without emotional turmoil: This is the way Uranus’s energy urges us to grow. We need freedom within our relationships, not from them.
It's also time to reevaluate the ways we imprison ourselves in mindless routines and then rebel against them. While "Different" is not always "improved", change is essential to our evolutionary process. Ask yourself: Could I hang out with the discomfort, without trying to pull away, or push through?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-28 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)
Thursday (Oct. 12th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Tuesday late evening for details).
Thursday morning, at 8:25am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 19 degrees of Cancer becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Cancer on Tuesday late evening. The Moon in protective, nurturing Cancer makes a challenging aspect to the Sun harmony-oriented, idealistic Libra. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change.
This Moon phase brings us closer to Oct. 19th, which will bring the New Moon in Libra. During the last Quarter Moon, we are best served not by beginning new projects, but by reviewing existing ones -- particularly those we started around the time of the New Moon in Virgo, on Sept. 20th.
What is asking to be completed? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up, whether it's internal or with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-21 degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or Aries? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Thursday late evening, an opportune Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 11:02pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until Saturday evening. This is an opportunity to take responsibility for our thinking structures and be really honest with ourselves.
How can we get the most from this opportunity? It’s simple: Look for the larger truth. If we can go beyond what we have always known, we could get a helpful dose of reality — and an ability to focus on long-term issues. What are we really trying to accomplish? What is reality showing us?
Remember, though: Opportunities are “openings”; they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Friday (Oct. 13th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 2:41am EDT (see Tuesday late evening for details).
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, at 12am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 2.5 hours until 2:41am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, take a break and connect to loved ones -- this is an opportunity to be discerning and compassionate with yourself and others.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Friday at 2:41am EDT, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Sunday morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-)
So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things... be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?
Saturday (Oct. 14th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday at 6:11am EDT, Venus changes signs from detail-oriented, practical Virgo to harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until November 7th. With this placement, we prefer to show kindness, evenhandedness, and a willingness to make our relationships work.
We value our relationships at this time and we prefer entering into equal partnerships. During this time, we can develop an idealized view of what a relationship "should" look like. We do our best to treat others fairly for the next three and a half weeks, seeking the middle ground. We are more likely to appreciate the arts, dance, beauty, entertainment and romance.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you will feel more connected to your inner harmony for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to others in an equal setting. If you are a Libra Sun- or Rising-sign you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.
Saturday late morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 9:49am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will remain strong until this Sunday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
This boils down to feeling "stumped" -- we feel like we can't get our head around things, or make decisions. As best as you can, be kind and compassionate to yourself. Ask yourself: Could I hang out with the inner discomfort this is stirring up, just for right now?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-27 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)
Sunday (Oct. 15th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-lovingLeountil 7:19am EDT (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, at 1:28am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 6 hours until 7:19m EDT. Use this intuitive time to have fun connecting from the heart. This could also be a great time to express our visions for the future.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)
Sunday early morning, a Mercury/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 3:52am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will remain strong until next week Monday evening. We are better off thinking outside the box for those four days. We want to change a life situation (or relationship) that is out of alignment with who we now want to be.
Our minds may feel overwhelmed by what all this means, especially as it relates to our relationships. Stay calm, as best as you can: Sudden or rash decisions might backfire. Do your best to ground all your thinking, connect to your body, and allow yourself to fully receive any new insights.
We are very likely to feel quite nervous or anxious at this time, as we become aware of what's not working for us anymore -- and the itch to move forward and realize a new vision feels very strong. It may well be true that something needs to change -- but we must take care not to rush into anything.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in in 23-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, or0 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).
Sunday at 7:19am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Tuesday early afternoon; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Sunday morning, a Mars/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 8:28am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will remain strong until next week Thursday. We might feel rebellious when faced with other people's plans — but also unclear about our own direction. We may get triggered by others and feel defensive or touchy; resentments or frustrations can surface now.
We may find ourselves caught between two forces: on the one hand, there’s what we know we need to get done; on the other, there’s finding a way to be kind and compassionate with ourselves, in the event we need to take some time out to do some healing. This aspect calls us to find a balance between those two poles. Ask yourself: Could I allow “really well”, rather than trying to force “perfect”?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inAries (Mars is the ruler of Aries)
A head's up for next Monday (Oct. 16th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Sunday morning for details). Monday morning, an opportune Sun/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 7:13am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday evening on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday evening.More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
