The theme of last week for me was dealing with multiple layers of occurrences, projects, and tasks -- all connected to future arrangements and moving things forward. My new home, my trip to Vienna to visit family, finding a cat sitter, my new website, making arrangements for my hubby's 50th Birthday... It went on and on :-) No wonder I had long days and little rest... but surprisingly none of it felt heavy or exhausting... yay for Jupiter in my first House :-)
Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:

This week's headline items: a long-term aspect between Saturn and Chiron becomes exact on Thursday evening. The Full Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Friday night/Saturday very early morning and Mercury changes signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius on Sunday afternoon.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late afternoon (for a little over 9.5 hours), Thursday late evening (for a little over 6.5 hours), and Sunday early morning (for almost an hour).
Monday (October 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day. It will journey there until next week Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (Oct. 31st/Nov. 1st).This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.
Monday morning starts out with a nice feeling of ease and an ability to trust and connect deeply with others. As best as you can, trust your intuitive sensing right now, allow whatever comes up to be beneficial for you.
Monday late afternoon/early evening: we feel more sensitive and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours.
Tuesday (Oct. 31st): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday for details).
Tuesday at 5:08pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 9.5 hours, until 2:43am EDT (Wednesday very early morning). We are pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we experience a desire for inner silence, emotional oneness, and the flow of creativity through us.
On the other hand, we want to explore our belief structures and how they relate to the outside world. We may therefore feel anxious or restless; as best as you can, slow down, acknowledge what is, know that all is well in each "now moment".
Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening and night ahead of time ;-)
Wednesday (November 1st) at 2:43am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Friday early morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.
Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:37am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday early morning on; it will remain strong until Saturday morning. This aspect is a wonderful possibility for deep emotional healing in regards to our conditioning and day-to-day thinking structures.
We can bring compassion, for ourselves and others, to emotionally "difficult" communications. We are able to allow more for the flow of feelings as we share ourselves; forgiveness and understanding towards ourselves and others comes more easily now in general.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Thursday (Nov. 2nd): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday very early morning for details).
Thursday early evening, a long-term, challenging Saturn/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from October 7th on; it will remain strong until November 27th. This is the third time within the past 10 months that this aspect has become exact, the first being Nov. 30th - Feb. 27th; the second time: March 5th - June 1st.
What came up for you in regards to embracing your insecurities around that time (especially around Dec. 28th and April 30th)? Did you gain insight into your own humanity? Or perhaps your healing journey connected to past wounding?
We are being invited to grow and stretch ourselves when it comes to two very different energies: our sensitivities and insecurities, versus our inner sense of authority and "getting it right".
This can stir up feelings of inadequacy -- that we're not competent or effective... We could be confronted with limitations -- our own, and those of others. A sense of separation or loneliness is very possible with this aspect.
The desire to "walk the talk" is quite strong -- but those feelings of inadequacy may leave us feeling blocked, with low energy and confidence. "Slow and steady" is the key here -- and it's critical to keep checking our beliefs and keeping up our emotional/spiritual connections.
Work on self-acceptance and self-compassion; be honest with yourself about your own limitations and your expectations towards others (or life in general). This may take some time, but eventually it will yield a healthy, realistic approach toward our sensitivities and insecurities.
Questions you can ask yourself during this aspect: What am I learning about my inner resilience? What if respecting myself fully was just a decision? What attitudes do I need to eliminate to achieve greater alignment with my own humanity and my world?
Here's a few bonus questions: Could I maybe meet other people's demands, rules or expectations, without feeling limited or stopped by them? Could the same be true about my own (demands, rules and expectations)? What might humility do for me?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn (Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Thursday evening, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:02pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday early morning on; it will remain strong until Friday. This aspect also operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
It could be hard to make decisions under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions, or our problem-solving ability. It may also be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate, leading to misunderstandings: we tend to feel uncomfortable -- a sort of "inner itchiness".
As best you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you -- and empower yourself and others by coming from love rather than fear -- after all, in this moment, aren't you actually ok?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 25-27 degrees of Scorpio or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).
Thursday at 11:03pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 6.5 hours, until at 5:46am EDT (Friday early morning). If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to connect to people that can enthusiastically support your projects and share with them what you have going on.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday night and Friday early morning ahead of time ;-)
Friday (Nov. 3rd): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries and VoC until 5:46am EDT (see Wednesday very early morning for details).
Friday early morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:30am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will remain strong until Friday late evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We may feel uneasy or insecure in our relationships -- and be faced with a choice -- we must develop an inner awareness if we are to see what needs adjusting.
As you can imagine, this could make social interactions somewhat awkward; as best as you can, connect with kindness towards all (including yourself :-)
We may also have a hard time making financial decisions that feel satisfactory. As best as you can, bring a good dose of compassion and understanding to yourself and embrace your own humanity as much as possible... and remember: like everything else, this is only temporary ;-)
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Friday early morning, an opportune Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 4:31am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will remain strong until Saturday evening. This aspect gives us an opportunity to bring a sense of realism to our relationships, values, and financial affairs: We are more able to see what really needs to be dealt with in those areas and take responsibility for our handling of them.
On a financial level, we have an opportunity to see more clearly when and how we might make long-term investments. There's no need to rush anything; think it through carefully and responsibly -- do the "due diligence". Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us, we have to "take" it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).
Friday at 5:46am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Sunday early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.
What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-) This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon (exact on Friday night/Saturday very early morning). Click here to watch my Full Moon video
Friday afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 3:23pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Monday evening (Nov. 6th). This aspect could be tremendously supportive when it comes to dissolving what no longer serves us.
Our intuition, imagination, and inspiration all seem to be "zeroed in". We go beyond "tolerance", to lovingly embrace differences in others, and give where it's needed with open hearts and hands. All of this also feeds in to any creative and spiritual endeavors that start around this time.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 8-15 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Saturday (Nov. 4th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Friday early morning for details).
Friday night/Saturday very early morning, a Venus/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 1:02am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Monday morning (Nov. 6th). This opposition calls us to balance "togetherness" with "having our space".
We may find that we disagree with others. We may be restless, even anxious, and therefore feel pressure to act (and react) impulsively towards others -- or towards our finances. Try your best not to put all your money on a horse, just because it has a funny name, or elope with a random hottie ;-)
We could also be caught off-guard somehow, so stay open-minded and flexible. Do not get a facelift or any kind of beauty treatment that has the potential to go horribly wrong. I'm not kidding.
If there were a way to fully express our individuality in our relationships, without needing to pull or push away... what might that way be? Could you shake things up a little, without being oppositional or offensive?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-29 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)
Friday night/Saturday very early morning, at 1:23am EDT, the Full Moon in almost 12 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this Lunation build from the moment the Moon entered Taurus on Friday early morning (you may want to watch my video on the subject).
All Full Moons offer opportunities for us to see things in a new light, and guide us toward balance and integration, rather than polarization and division. Full Moons also illuminate the truth and consequences of our choices.
The Sun is in Scorpio and the Moon is in Taurus... We can expect a heightening of tension between the realms of light and dark -- the conscious and unconscious realities -- as the Sun and Moon approach their monthly opposition.
This is also a "Super" Full Moon. SuperMoons occur when the Moon is either Full or New while at its closest distance to the Earth -- and they are therefore more powerful. Since all Full Moons tend to flush up what's been in the shadow (i.e. unconscious or denied), our emotions can be more volatile than usual; and this is especially true of a SuperMoon.
This could very well mean a need for greater awareness around the issues connected to the Full Moon energy in question. In this case, that's the Scorpio/Taurus polarity -- so let's look at those energies in more detail:
Scorpio's highest vibration is all about us connecting to our deepest passions, letting go of our emotional attachments or traumas from the past — in other words, overcoming our fears and connecting deeply, intimately and authentically to ourselves and others. Scorpio also teaches us to embrace all of who we are, so we can be authentic and thus feel empowered.
Scorpio ultimately teaches us that every ending is also a beginning -- but the lower vibrations of Scorpio tend to bring up trust issues, black-and-white thinking, addiction to drama and darkness (or substances) -- and anything we want to prevent. We could find ourselves coming from an instinctual, self-protective place, rather than from a place of intuitive, love-based spaciousness.
The other pole in this balancing act is Taurus, which seeks a healthy relationship with the physical world — our body, our planet, and our personal resources (for example our money, assets and talents) and our highest values.
We learn about the power of beauty and what makes us happy on the physical level. We develop our talents and sense of self-worth -- and can discover and manifest what we truly value and enjoy.
If we are to experience of the highest vibration of Taurus, a healthy sense of self-worth is critical, so ask yourself:
What matters most to me? What makes me happy deep down? What is in the way of me honoring my gifts and talents? Of feeling confident and valued in the world? What if I was the only one of me there will ever be? What might my value be then?
In Taurus, we discover what we most require; in Scorpio, we explore what we most desire -- and what we most fear.
Fear, like everything else, is energy. If we focus on what we don't want, instead of what we do, it will stir up uncomfortable sensations in our feeling body and our physical body...
For the next two weeks, I want to invite you to get in touch with your physical body; check in periodically where you experience sensations that either feel dense or uncomfortable. Here's some questions you might find helpful with this process:
Where in my body do these sensations show up? Could I simply give myself permission to feel these sensations rather than trying to label them, manage them, change them, or figure out what to do about them? How might my breath give these sensations love, space and acceptance?
If I close my eyes and visualize the energy in my body, is it holding or moving? Could I simply notice the sensations? And could I notice the space that is around and through those sensations?
As best as you can, go back and forth between acknowledging the sensations, and the space between the sensations, until you feel no separation between the two poles.
Venus, the traditional ruler of Taurus as well as Libra, is in a close opposition to Uranus at 26° Aries. This suggests that victory in the struggle to love and value ourselves lies in the realization that we are individual, unique beings, and as such we need to allow ourselves to have some space from others, while honoring and allowing our differences.
This could bring some restlessness, or a desire to break free, perhaps related to our finances or one-on-one relationships. As best as you can, don't take things too personally -- and stay as flexible as possible. Excitement over something new can serve as an antidote to rash or impulsive decision-making that threatens to interfere with relationships or any of our personal goals.
As best as you can, balance "togetherness" with "having my space". We could also be caught off-guard here somehow, so stay open-minded and flexible; ask yourself: If there was a way to fully express my individuality in my relationships without the need to pull or push away... what might that way be? Could I shake things up a little without going oppositional?
This aspect also shows us that happiness lies neither in separating ourselves from others, nor in always trying to please them, but in discovering and honoring who we really are -- our own special flavor and unique coloring :-)
There are several Quincunxes in this Full Moon chart (Venus in Libra quincunx Chiron in Pisces, and Mercury in Scorpio quincunx Uranus in Aries). They nudge us to pay attention to details and be willing to think out of the box -- I heard an expression recently that applies here: "Life is a series of adjustments".
Venus quincunx Chiron: an "awkwardness" may be felt in social situations -- we may be unsure whether to seek outward connection and harmony, or turn inward to lick old wounds. The keyword here is "forgiveness".
We are all divine beings who have taken physical form; as such, we face the complexity of relating to many levels of ourselves — physical, emotional, mental, spiritual/energetic -- and that's before "others" show up! How might I approach my relationships differently, considering all those levels of my Being? What would "Forgiveness" say to me if it were standing right here?
As best as you can, bring a good dose of compassion and understanding to your inner wounded child and embrace your own humanity as much as possible... Might a responsible approach contribute to inner healing?
Mercury quincunx Uranus: this aspect invites us to hang out with some inner discomfort, rather than push through it or back away. It could be hard to make decisions under this influence and therefore we tend to feel uncomfortable -- a sort of "inner itchiness". As best you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you... Keep in mind that impulsive communications might backfire. Flexibility is key -- what calls out to be adjusted from the inside out?
Ask yourself frequently: In this moment, am I perhaps actually ok? If I don't go off into memory, or make up imaginary future scenarios, if I just look here and now... is there actually anything "wrong" with right now? Again, as best as you can, use the breath to refocus your mind and bring it into the present moment.
Venus sextiles Saturn, bring us an opportunity to form long-term commitments with others, to be more practical, and to appreciate maturity. Ask yourself: Do I live in accordance with what I truly value? Where would I put boundaries to communicate a healthy sense of self-love? Could I allow myself to take my time instead of rushing into something?
On a financial level, we get a chance to get real about what comes in and goes out, and maybe even manifest our desires into the outer world. This hinges on making adjustments and staying flexible with regards to our own inner healing processes (Venus quincunx Chiron).
Neptune in Pisces makes a Sextile to the Moon in Taurus and a Trine to Sun in Scorpio. This combo opens a door to all the mysterious energies around us; our sensitivity, creativity, intuition and imagination are heightened.
This quote sums it up very nicely: “The Divine lives within the natural world... Now is the time to light our candles by recharging our spiritual practices, and becoming increasingly conscious of the spiritual realities that lie beneath the surface appearances of the things, places and people we see around us…” -- Clarissa Estes
By tapping into our five senses and what's beyond them, we get a chance to truly connect with all of who we are: the physical, emotional, mental and energetic bodies that coexist in the realm of our experience here on Earth, and that are true of each Earthling... ;-) Ask yourself: What practices might support me in tapping more fully into all of my senses, including the sixth?
Neptune starts its station on Nov. 10th; Chiron will follow suit on Nov. 25th. We will address the Neptune and Chiron Station phases, in more detail -- in relationship to our own Birth charts -- in our upcoming Forecasting Forum on Nov. 6th. Feel free to join us; I especially recommend it if you have Pisces as your Sun, Moon or Rising-sign, or you have strong Neptune or Chiron signature in your birth chart (Neptune or Chiron conjunct your Ascendant, Sun or Moon, for example). The Sun in close proximity to Jupiter in Scorpio provides fuel for creativity and generosity... plus over-optimism and overconfidence. This is a good time to resolve conflicts, especially within intimate relationships and financial partnerships.
We might feel quite perky and "alive". Take advantage of this with a little self-promotion -- put yourself "out there" a little. Ask yourself: What might I want to share with others at this time about myself? How authentic can I get? What might be possible if I allowed myself to pierce below the surface and move towards my own emotional truth?
Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio; it's currently in Capricorn, trining the Moon and sextiling the Sun.This is a very powerful combo that provides an opportunity to let go of toxic behaviors around "worth" -- both self-worth and where we place value.
This could be an excellent period for finances. Work we've done might pay off -- we can manage our finances better, with more attention to sustainability, planning and strategy -- while eliminating anything that no longer serves us in this realm.
We uncompromisingly seek a deep, totally authentic connection with ourselves, and our long-term goals -- so do your best to be completely truthful with yourself about your motivations and needs.
Ask yourself: How realistic am I about what I can afford? What does that mean for me long-term? How empowered do I feel about my finances and my long-term goals? What am I feeling drawn to on a deep instinctual level? What do I feel passionate about? What values can I no longer compromise on?
All of this could also play out collectively between the long-term goals of our governing bodies and our relationship to the Earth's resources.
Use the power of this Full Moon to get grounded in your body, break up any stagnation in your system or relationships, and accelerate your transformation by immersing yourself in a deeper connection to all of life. Nature, moonlight, the ocean, a river or a stream... If you sat in silence and connected energetically to a spot in nature, what tales might it murmur? What if it could both fill you up and ground you deeper into your own body?
Here is another quote that seems quite fitting: "Do not focus on the dark and uncertain… Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach… Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it… remember who you came from and why you came to this beautiful, needful Earth.” -- Curtis Lang and Jane Sherry
Here are a few final coaching questions for this Full Moon: If letting go always brought more freedom, what would I dare to release? If I knew for certain that holding on kept me small, could I then simply let go? Might that give my higher power the space to support and guide me?
Remember: gentleness towards ourselves creates an opening to heal and become whole. How gently could you treat yourself? For more on this Full Moon, click here to watch my video on the subject.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Sunday (Nov. 5th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:26am EDT (see Friday early morning for details).
Sunday at 4:29am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost an hour, until 5:26am EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for comfort and security with your desire for deeper emotional connections with yourself and others.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday early morning ahead of time ;-)
Sunday at 5:26am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Tuesday early morning. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way... The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)
Sunday at 2:19pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from intense, passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio to optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius. Mercury will travel through Sagittarius until Jan. 11th, 2018 -- an unusually long time, due to Mercury's retrograde phase in December (Dec. 3rd - 22nd).
During this time, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation, to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics. We seek out ideals; our thinking is more optimistic and our faith increased. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade. With Jupiter in Scorpio right now, we are seeking a deep, authentic emotional connection with others.
There will likely be a lot of idealistic talk, and a desire for intimacy when sharing and connecting. As best as you can, listen to your thoughts, tossing the ones that are not in alignment with an empowering approach for everyone involved. Expand your thinking by tapping into your inner wisdom and connecting to a broader philosophy.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for expansion -- let's hope it's not your waistline that expands :-) Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Sagittarius? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty for the next 9 weeks.
