Stretching our Limits -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., April 13th - Sun., April 19th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was unexpectedly emotional for me: Lots of issues connected to my childhood came up and I was able to release a lot of it. It was mostly connected to speaking up and expressing myself authentically without apology. I am certain that the Lunar Eclipse and Pluto's station contributed a lot. After Jupiter went direct on Wednesday, I could feel myself lightening up, and I became able to take it all in with a wider perspective.

This week's headline items:  On Tuesday, Mercury changes signs from Aries to Taurus, and Jupiter gets back to its regular speed; on Wednesday afternoon, the Balsamic Moon phase begins; on Thursday, Pluto comes to a halt; on Friday, Eclipse season ends, Saturday afternoon sees the New Moon in Aries become exact.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday mid afternoon (for 0.5 hours), Wednesday late afternoon (for 24.5 hours), Saturday mid afternoon (for 2.5 hours), and Sunday evening (for 10.5 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day. It will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

It is going to be an interesting day: We need to make some adjustments and “think different”... And we’re also lively and edgy. We are outgoing and want to connect, play games and express our unique spark. It’s going to be an unusual day and surprising… If you can, connect with like-minded people… ;-)

Tuesday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 4:12pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday afternoon, we enter a very brief Moon void of course (VoC), from 3:45pm until 4:12pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to take a break and tune into your body. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow ;-)

Tuesday at 4:12pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Thursday late afternoon. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Tuesday at 6:51pm EDT, Mercury changes signs fromenthusiastic, fast-paced Aries to steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until April 30th. For the next two weeks, our thinking shift gears: we want to connect to others in a realistic, down-to-earth way and we "say it like it is". We appreciate common sense; we rely on our senses when it comes to processing information.

A well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this Mercury position, so for the next two weeks we will be drawn towards the "tasteful" in the realm of the five senses. We are more likely to have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and our ideas are often very practical and useful at this time.

When it comes to learning, we prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts for the next two weeks. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb. We simply process information better when we can personalize it ("what use is it to me?") and attach it to the practical world.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you may need to slow down  a little and “smell the roses” ;-)

Last but not least for Tuesday, Jupiter ends its station and resumes its normal pace through the sky. Over the last four months, we’ve done a lot of internal work on our beliefs and perspectives on life; we now have a chance to apply this to the outside world.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Tuesday afternoon for details).

Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 12:25am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday morning on; it will be strong until this Friday. This might be a time of relationship tests or trials: we may not be attracting the things and people that we want in our lives -- at least, not as easily as we were before this transit.

This can be eye-opening -- a signal to work on improving the "ways" (as well as the "things") that we bring to partnerships. Many doubts could be raised now. We could be withdrawing or holding back a little, as we attempt to figure out what we want and need -- and what we can give. We are working towards ridding ourselves of self-delusion when it comes to close partnerships, socializing and finances.

Our goal is to find truthful connections to others. Relationships built on weak foundations may not survive, but other relationships can be improved and strengthened. Financial matters might be stressful for the time being, which forces us into a position of conservation and moderation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this -- as well as on an external level with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-7 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (since Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Saturn rules Capricorn)

Wednesday at 5:37pm EDT, we enter a 24.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that will last until 5pm EDT (Thursday afternoon). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to inspire others about your existing projects and passions. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your day ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow.

Wednesday afternoon also starts the Balsamic Moon Phase. This lasts until Saturday afternoon, when the New Moon in Aries becomes exact (…more on that on Saturday). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.
Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Thursday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 5pm EDT (see Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday early evening  for details). At that time, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Saturday late afternoon

The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

The big news for Thursday however, is that Pluto comes to a halt in 15.5 degrees of Capricorn, starting its 5-month retrograde phase (April 16th - Sept.25th). Pluto's energy will continue to move more slowly until May 3rd.

During the Pluto retrograde phase it is most powerful to surrender internally to any process we experience around empowerment or disempowerment. As best as you can, take it all in, and see where you would like to make adjustments. You will get a chance to do just that for the next 5 months.

Tap into a place of authenticity from within -- embrace all of you: the good, the bad, and the ugly. You can ask yourself: what habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? How can I love all of me -- the light and the dark? What would it feel like, if I was fully aligned with my Soul-purpose?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-18 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this station more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Friday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Thursday for details).

Friday evening, a challenging Mars/Jupiter aspectbecomes exact at 8:29pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Wednesday of next week (April. 22nd). I mention this aspect in this week's New Moon video as well (feel free to click here to watch :-) This “challenge” is also an opportunity to grow by resolving two tensions:

On the one hand, we feel passionate about practical things that help us see our own value, and bring us financial stability. On the other, we seek the "truth” about joy, and the self-expression that can flow from that. In the same spirit, we seek growth and expansion in our creative life. We could also find meaning in our relationship to “fun" and children (including our "inner child").

What if really valuing ourselves and our talents could actually help us expand our joy and sense of innocence? What if the same were true of actions that lead us toward greater self-worth and self-value?

We also desire exciting, inspiring experiences at this time -- we may not be satisfied with the way things are. There could be an inner restlessness, that demands freedom and space, but doesn't necessarily deliver: With this position, we never feel that we have enough experiences, knowledge, money, things, etc... It's difficult knowing when to stop.

If you can, pause and reflect — this will help with that feeling that you can't get enough, no matter what you do.

This can also be a playful and humorous time -- joking around, practical jokes, smiles and laughter. We like to keep stretching our limits, to see how far we can go -- and we could go too far, overextending or over-promising, due to an overly-optimistic assessment of our own capacities and energy levels.

Remember, we have a desire for more financial stability and self-worth, while also seeking for the truth through playful, heartfelt interactions with others. As best as you can, make space for both, perhaps even look for ways those desires can support each other. Deepen your understanding of the importance of self-appreciation and self-expression. And it bears elaboration: Not knowing when to say "enough" could lead to physical and spiritual exhaustion.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-8 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries, Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Here is a bit of good news: Friday is the last day before the New Moon in Aries, which ends the Eclipse season that started on March 20th. Yay! We have now fully received our consciousness upgrade! Congratulations! You are ready to move to a whole new level of being ;-)

The last day before the New Moon is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

Saturday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 5:31pm EDT (see Thursday for details).

Saturday at 2:57pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sunin 28 degrees of Aries. This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. With the New Moon in fast-paced, enthusiastic, courageous Aries, we are asked to connect to our personal goals and get very clear what we want to create for this new Moon cycle. This is an action-pact energy and the focus is on ourselves. We tend to do first, think later: We have a tremendous amount of energy and we want to sprint.

Aries is asking us to tap into our courage and passion, step into the unknown, take initiative and assert ourselves. Aries is the “Beginner’s Mind” sign: Open, eager, willing to be surprised. The fewer preconceptions we have, the more possibilities we see, and the wider the path grows.

This is our time to let go of “shoulds” and "needing to know all the answers”: Living in the present moment and trusting our instincts... That's the way to go ;-)

Here are some questions you can ask yourself for this New Moon: Where can I approach my life with “beginner’s mind”? What do I want to create in this “now moment"? What if I were to tap into my inner courage and passion for life -- right here, right now?

Mars (the ruler of Aries) is in Taurus: We need to create a solid relationship with ourselves, we need to value what we have to offer. This is also a cosmic message about relating to the physical plane (and ourselves) in a loving manner -- one that honors this planet, this body, this life. We are also being asked to slow down and focus on quality over quantity, sustainability over novelty, ease over force.

How can we generate and protect life and this planet? How can we inspire confidence and have a healthy relationship to ourselves? What if we loved ourselves 5% more every day?

The highest expression of the Aries energy is to lead by example and inspiration -- others follow us because they see our courage and enthusiasm for life, and they want to be a part of it.

Here are some aspects that Mars is making at the time of the New Moon:

Mars squares Jupiter in Leo: This supports us in moving forward, we may feel as though we can’t get enough, perhaps are overly optimistic. It helps with tapping into our courage and taking risks…

Mars aligns with Mercury in Taurus: This aspect helps us set healthy boundaries for ourselves and speak a firm “No” when it is the loving thing to do for ourselves. We are ready to speak up about anything out of alignment with our core values -- perhaps more quickly than we meant to...

Mars trines Pluto in Capricorn: This aspect is significant because Pluto is moving very slowly, having halted two days prior to the New Moon, and now being retrograde. Its energy is still “exalted” (heightened), and thus has us investigate anything dysfunctional within our businesses, governments or long-term goals. We are being asked to eliminate or transform whatever is no longer in alignment with our Soul’s passions.

Mars and Pluto support each other in manifesting something real -- tangible, sustainable, meaningful. When we are more confident about what we have to offer, and can communicate it clearly, we feel more empowered and able to build something of value and stature — and all in alignment with our passions. If that were true for you, what would you be “building”? What would be truly meaningful to your Soul?

One last aspect worth mentioning: Neptune (in Pisces) is the focal planet of a wide T-square with Saturn in Sagittarius and Venus in Gemini. With this aspect, we want to move fast and get to the truth of things right away, making it a little bit harder to trust in our interconnectedness with everything. Relationships may also feel challenging…

It is important for us to focus on our daily routines and learn to take it one day at a time. How can we feel more unified with each other rather than separate? How can we trust our heart, when life keeps trowing us curveballs? How can we accept new truths into our hearts "just because"? How can we gain more clarity?

As best as you can, honor yourself, your body, your talents. Listen to your inner voice and bring your passionate Self to the world. Remember that each of us makes this journey in our own way and in our own time. Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject (will be posted the latest by Thursday evening)

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 26-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer? 0 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentionswould be any time between 5:31pm Saturday late afternoon, and 7:07pm Sunday evening (EDT)

Saturday at 5:31pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Monday evening. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

Sunday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Saturday early evening for details).

Sunday very early morning, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 3:12am EDT. We started to feel this connection from Saturday morning on; it will be strong until Monday morning. This is an opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process. Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time. Listen to your body, listen to your heart and as best as you can, hear those messages.

Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do better at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and our ability to get things done. Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else's words… allow the Universe to speak to you. Open your mind to a higher vibration, allow for any and all conditioning to dissolve that is holding you back. Remember: opportunities are openings; they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 7-11 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)

A little bit later, also Sunday morning, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 6:29am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until Tuesday of next week. We can be confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money -- so it's best to wait until the transit is over, before making big moves in these areas -- if you make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships, it's likely you will not see things as they truly are.

We are actually being asked to have faith; to let our intuition guide us in money and love -- if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 5 days -- it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 6-12 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Sunday at 7:07pm EDT, we enter a 10.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which last until 5:42am EDT (Monday morning). Use this intuitive time to go deeper into your passions and take a look at what is of value and meaning to you. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your evening/night ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 7:28pm EDT (see Saturday early evening for details). The Sun changes signs, from Aries to Taurusat 5:42am EDT, and the Moon moves into curious, versatile Gemini at 7:28pm EDT….more about all that in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
