Separation or Unity -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., June 1st - Sun., June 7th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

After I returned from my Life of the Soul Retreat, I decided to stop watching TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. ;-) So far, it feels good — I’ve been allowing myself to connect more fully with the silence within, also listening to more music and guided meditations... Probably has a lot to do with the Mercury/Neptune Square that we have been feeling for most of May. I am taking it one day at time… allowing the urge for TV and distraction to rise up, then allowing it to release ;-) Noticing without judging…

This week's headline items: the Full Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Tuesday early afternoon; Venus trines the Solar Eclipse degree from March 20th on Thursday evening; on Friday, Venus changes signs from Cancer to Leo and Mercury starts to slow down again (getting ready to move direct again next week); and Neptune’s station intensifies on Saturday.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 7.5 hours), Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (fro almost 19 hours), Friday morning (for almost 18 hours), and Sunday late morning (for almost 18 hours as well).

Monday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 2:39pm EDT. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time.

As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free.

Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.

Monday at 7:01am EDT, we enter a 7.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that ends at 2:39pm EDT; and at that time, the Moon enters optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Wednesday evening. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the Full Moon (exact on Tuesday around noon).

On Monday (in the late afternoon), we need to get more serious about self-care, and slow down a little. We are being invited to focus on the bigger picture.

Tuesday: the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday late morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:40am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday night on; it will be strong until Wednesday night. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

As best as you can, evaluate any projects before getting involved; our great energy and genuine humanitarian spirit could feed other people's unrealistic expectations, leaving us drained and unappreciated. If we are able to reevaluate our everyday habits and our inner dialog, we will see whether or not they really support our long term goals.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-16 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).

As mentioned above, the entrance of the Moon into Sagittarius (on Monday afternoon) started the energetic build-up towards the Full Moon; this is exact Tuesday around noon at 12:19pm EDT, in almost 12 degrees of Sagittarius. For the next two weeks, we are looking for balance: We are more aware than everthat something needs to be brought into alignment.

The balance in question is between our mental processes -- symbolized by Gemini -- and our quest for a larger truth (Sagittarius). It's important to realize that the Sagittarian urge to go beyond our everyday interactions and familiar environments is essential to our growth process — and also plays a crucial role in how we interact with others and how we share our knowledge (Gemini).

Any Full Moon is a more extroverted and emotional time; this time around, we are being invited to unify mind and heart, so we can discover a new world of possibilities.

Sagittarius shows us a wider perspective, one that has us look beyond facts and learned knowledge to our direct life experiences, and the wisdom we gain from them. Gemini wants us to stay connected to our immediate environment and our day-to-day mind -- processing and sharing information as fast and as much as possible. How do we step off the information treadmill?

Mercury is retrograde in its own sign (it’s the ruler of Gemini). This points our attention inwards and thereby helps us develop a more conscious connection to our inner dialog.

You may want to ask yourself: How do I communicate? Do I have a harsh inner critic? Do my communications promote separation or connectedness/unity?

We may not think of ourselves as violent, yet anything that promotes separation — judging, criticizing, blaming, labeling, etc. — could be thought of as a form of violence.

Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is in Leo. It makes a beautiful Grand Trine with Uranus in Aries and the Moon in Sagittarius; this provides the support we need to step bravely into the world with our new ideas, embracing our own individuality with more enthusiasm. We are able to take risks now -- and have a different perspective about what’s new and unusual.

Neptune in Pisces makes a square not only to the Full Moon, but also to Mercury and Mars in Gemini... the message is clear: Stretch, grow, slow down, go within. Our conditioned mind may be out of harmony with our intuitive sensing. As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for daily rituals such as meditation, time in nature, etc. This will help you fully connect with your heart and Soul.

Neptune indicates another way of perceiving and knowing… Intuition is non-linear, it connects us with an intelligence far beyond the bounds of logic and analysis. To access it we must slow down and tune inwards. With this Full Moon, we are being asked to switch to a very different operating system, one that has always been available to us, but has been pushed aside and ignored by so many of us living in this modern world.

Intuition is our guide in this fast-paced world -- wherever we are and whatever we experience. Knowing and sensing with the heart is very powerful -- and thinking and understanding only with our minds cuts us off from a vast resource. Through intuition, we can tap into the “knowingness” of the whole Universe… What could be more powerful than that?

The busier we are, the more we need quiet, meditative Soul-time -- even if it’s just a few minutes, before moving on to the next thing. Centering ourselves in our hearts is going to be the most valuable tool of the 21st Century. By not getting so identified with the mind and letting the heart guide us, we can be less reactive, make fewer errors and see alternatives more easily. We become more peaceful and more productive….

How can your mind be of service to your heart? If we remember that being of service to others -- to the world -- is our greatest gift to humanity, we can find peace and happiness from within. As best as you can, come from "beginner's mind”… Trust what you feel and intuit; look for what's true right here, right now.

Any tool that helps you be more present in the here and now, and helps you get connected to your heart and intuition, is a tool worth having in your tool box. I personally have used “The Sedona Method” for the past 9 years. It’s been a godsend to me and my husband -- it helps us stay present, in the here and now, connecting us to the awareness that we are.

The present moment is the only place where we have control and influence. It is in the now that we create our future and where we can make the most difference. As best as you can, give yourself the gift of connecting with your inner self daily, in whatever way works best for you. Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Sagittarius,Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Wednesday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that last for almost 19-hours (until 8:50pm EDT). Use this intuitive time to connect to like-minded people and learn something new about your unique self. See if you can broaden your approach, when it comes to your goals or projects. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Wednesday at 8:50pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Friday night/Saturday very early morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.

We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Thursday:the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Wednesday evening for details).

Back on March 20th, a Solar Eclipse occurred in 29 degrees of Pisces: On Thursday at 10:22pm EDT, Venus (in a late degree of Cancer) trines this same Solar Eclipse degree. This promotes a heart connection to our higher Selves… Observe how this plays out for you today: What are you receiving? What is calling to you?

Friday: now this is a big day! First, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Wednesday evening for details). At 6:54am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that last for almost 18-hours (until 1:02am EDT — Friday night/Saturday very early morning).

We may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: On the one hand, we have a need for mature, diligent accomplishment -- and on the other, a desire for rapid progress toward goals, we may want to move a mile a minute, impatiently and enthusiastically hurling ourselves forward into the unknown.

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments (and find creative solutions) when it comes to resolving these desires. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your day ahead of time ;-)

Friday at 11:33am EDT, Venus changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer tofun-loving, extroverted Leo, where it will journey until July 18th; and then again from July 31st — Oct. 8th, due to its retrograde phase. This changes how we do relationships. We are more inclined to have fun now and socialize with others. We don't need to stay home anymore: it's time to get out and take some risks, have some fun, express ourselves.

With Venus in Leo we love to be admired and adored -- we love to feel special. Giving out compliments works very well during this time. We relate to others from our heart and we love to be seen as generous and loving. Love and affection are very important during this time, so give as much of those as possible and it shall all be returned to you a thousandfold ;-)

As for closer relationships: you can never give too much attention to your partner, yourself or your friends during this time. With regards to our finances: we are able to take more risks now; it's a favorable time especially for anything connected with entertainment, children or sports.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more outgoing and confident for the period Venus moves through Leo. Your heart will want to connect and be admired. Creative endeavors will feel satisfying to you. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.

Friday evening, an opportune Mars/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 7:38pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Monday. This aspect is an opportunity to tap into our optimism, enthusiasm and sense of expansionm -- we are more likely to connect to others from the heart and express ourselves “full-out".

We feel strong, and we are more straightforward than ever. Our powers of assertion are strong at this time, and they go over well with others. As with all opportunities in life, this opportunity is not simply handed to us, we have to make something of it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Gemini, Leo, Aries or Libra? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius)

Lastly, also on Friday,Mercury starts to slow down again (“stationing”). It’s getting ready to come to a halt, ending its 3-week retrograde phase, on Thursday of next week, June 11th (more on that next week…). For the next 13 days (until June 18th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready for travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here: http://vsta.pr/102aFxh )

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 3-7 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces.

Saturday very early morning at 1:02am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Monday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Also on Saturday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 2:23am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Monday. This signals a time when we don't take connections with others lightly; we are more attracted to long-term, committed partnerships than more casual relationships.

We feel a strong sense of responsibility to the ones we love -- we see ourselves as being responsible and trustworthy. We have increased sensitivity to the needs of others. Mutual respect and loyalty is very important to us at this time.

Support from older people or authority figures may come by way of solid advice or more tangible help. We are ready to connect to others in a mature fashion -- we are more likely to treat each other with respect and stand in our integrity. How can you connect to yourself and others through your "inner adult"?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-3 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries, as well as 28+29 degrees of Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces ? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Lastly on Saturday, Neptune’s station intensifies -- it is slowing down even more, before coming to a complete halt on June 12th (it has a 5-month retrograde coming up). A planet's energies are more "exalted” when it stations. With an outer planet, this has more weight, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign -- and we will feel its effects until June 26th.

Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.

This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 8-12 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.

Sunday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Saturday evening for details).

Sunday at 10:30am EDT, we enter an almost 18-hour long Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 4:16am EDT (Monday morning). This is an intuitive time that presents an opportunity to connect to innovative ideas and unique worldviews. If possible, share these with others, without apologies. Let your personal projects reflect your unique vision for life. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new (if at all possible, plan your day ahead of time).

A head's up for next Monday: At 4:12am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday morning of next week. This also starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Tuesday of next week); an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:56pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will be strong until Wednesday of next week… more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Last week was a mix of busy and relaxing. After Mercury went retrograde on Monday evening, I experienced a profound release of "old" thought patterns concerning my work style. I realized that I've put way too much pressure on myself, to always get everything “right”, to continuously improve my business... And the cost is that I work too hard, push myself and don't nurture myself enough. Since what I've been doing so far is not working very well, I’m going to try a different approach: I call the it the "So what?” approach (sometimes I call it the "Fuck it" approach ;-)

This week's headline items: the first Quarter Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Monday early afternoon; Neptune starts to slow down (getting ready for its 5-month retrograde phase) on Saturday. There will be two Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday evening (for almost 19.5 hours), and Friday late afternoon (13 hours).

Monday at 4:52am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. This turns our focus toward practical activities. Solving problems, making order out of confusion, helping others: all bring emotional satisfaction.

Health might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.), align with our long-term goals. This also starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later this afternoon).

Monday afternoon, a challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 1:09pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday on; it will be strong until this Thursday morning. This "stretch" aspect asks us to grow beyond what we know and have experienced in the past, in regards to our relationships (especially with family or people who feel like family).

Priorities may shift at this time and we may experience clashes in taste or values with those we love. As you can imagine, we may feel some instability or restlessness in connection to others. We may struggle with freedom versus emotional safety at this time.

We may also experience fears around our financial goals at this time. As best as you can, take a deep breath and hold off on decision-making with regards to finances -- in particular, it is best to avoid impulse buys at this time. In general, expect the unexpected. Things may take a different turn now, when it comes to what is truly important.

Keep your mind and heart open: if something needs to be eliminated or changed at this time, it was waiting for that shift to happen anyway. This aspect is also part of a T-square with Pluto, so we are going to feel some tension here... but also quite energized. As best as you can, think outside the box and focus on cooperation, collaboration and win-win solutions.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 16-22 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Mondayat 1:19pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 4 degrees of Virgo becomes exact. The Moon in detail-oriented, helpful and practical Virgo makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in chatty, fast-thinking and busy Gemini

We feel compelled to take action. Last week saw the New Moon, on May 18th. If we began a project or initiative around then, it is probably off the ground by now -- and facing its first obstacles. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy. As best as you can, take it one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible and find creative solutions in your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 2-6 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Monday evening, a challenging Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 7:38pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday on, it will be strong until this Saturday morning. This aspect is asking us to stretch ourselves, in order to resolve a tension between the things we want to go after, versus our feelings about a higher, spiritual calling. We may be chasing a dream... or a fantasy.

Ordinary life may seem drab and uninteresting to us right now. We want something that stirs our imagination: Some vision or ideal or dream to motivate us. We have a strong urge to act out our fantasies or live out our dream -- and we have the energy now to DO that which others only talk or dream about.

Artistic creation, drama, other vehicles of imaginative expression: All excellent things to explore or commit to, during this period. We tend to either over- or underestimate our own power and abilities: As best as you can, follow your intuition... Inspire yourself and others.

Most impacted by this aspect: those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 7-13 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)

Tuesday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday morning for details).

Tuesday at 10:21pm EDT, we enter an almost 19.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that ends at 5:42pm EDT (Wednesday afternoon). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to have clarity, be of service and find new ways to expand your relationship with loved ones. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 5:42pm EDT (see Monday morning and Tuesday evening for details).

On Wednesday morning, Mercury aligns with Mars in 10.5 degrees Gemini, at 6:37am EDT. We’ve been feeling this aspect build from last Sunday; it will be strong until this Friday. Gemini likes to move fast, so this alignment might considerably speed up our thinking; with Mercury being retrograde, some of this may happen more internally.

We communicate with curiosity, enthusiasm and energy, especially when “sharing” (teaching, writing, talking, listening, learning, buying, selling, etc. -- you get the idea ;-) We excel at getting to the heart of things.

On the other hand, we may take things a little too personally, and our defensiveness could be challenging for others. During disagreements, we may start to feel scattered: As best as you can, come from the heart -- allow your mind to settle down -- and take a deep breath now and then.

You will feel this alignment more strongly if you have your Ascendant, Career Point or personal planets in 7-14 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces. This is also true for those of us with the Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo, while Mars rules Aries).

Wednesday afternoon, a harmonious Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from this past Sunday on, it will be strong until this Friday. This brings the ability for compassion and understanding towards loved ones. We are able also to heal some wounds from the past.

We are more willing to be vulnerable, trusting that the other person has our best interest at heart. We also more easily see beauty in human weaknesses, rather than concern ourselves with fault -- it's a strong time for seeing potential in one another.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)

Wednesday at 5:42pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Saturday morning. The energy of the Libra Moon wants to maintain equal relationships: we thus tend to spend more time on diplomacy -- making compromises, negotiating, practicing graciousness, balancing, etc.

We can better set aside our emotions, to achieve the peace we desire; the shadow side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides -- and may also fear loss of approval -- so we can't decide. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this... and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm.

Thursday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday late afternoon for details).

Thursday: We have an opportunity to connect with others and create great things. In the early afternoon, we may need to make some inner adjustments, but soon thereafter we'll feel ease and flow when connecting and communicating. In the late afternoon, we feel a real flow around projects connected to sharing or learning; all in all, this can be a really productive day.

Friday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday late afternoon for details).

Friday early morning, a challenging Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 3am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from May 5th on; it will remain strong until June 4th (due to its retrograde phase). This aspect asks us to stretch ourselves and grow. We may experience a lack of clarity and objectivity. We all have assumptions and preconceived notions about others, the world and life; we are asked to stretch a little around these assumptions.

We might find it hard to follow directions and instructions at this time. Difficulties concentrating on hard, cold facts are likely; in fact, we may question facts altogether, or avoid getting pinned down on answers. As you can imagine, this is not the best time for signing any contracts. Perceptions can be confused, unrealistic, or too idealistic to carry weight in the real world; conversations may be vague.

As best as you can, during this time, follow your heart -- and let yourself be guided by your artistic or spiritual side. If you can, put off hard decisions until early June… and be compassionate with yourself and others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-13 degrees of  Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Friday morning, we may need to find a balance between what we want for ourselves and what we need from others. We want to collaborate, but we are also feeling quite impatient, because our minds are moving very fast right now. As best as you can, take a deep breath now and then, and drop in to your heart center ;-)

Friday at 4:20pm EDT, we enter a 13-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that ends at 5:34am EDT (Saturday morning). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

We’ll be drawn to balancing our lives, and to having equal, harmonious exchanges with others. We’ll very likely also desire mutually nurturing emotional connections with family and loved ones. As best as you can, make room for both of these desires and, as always during VoC: Take it easy, go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new. If at all possible, plan your time in advance, when it comes to Moon VoC.

Saturday at 5:34am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Monday afternoon.

Saturday early afternoon, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 9 degrees of Geminibecomes exact at 12:56pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Thursday on; it will be strong until next Monday. When the Sun and Mercury come together, we are especially sharp, communicative, and open. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life.

Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next. What we say or write now has impact, so as best as you can, choose your words wisely. If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not "heard" -- if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that's ok.

We may feel particularly scattered during this time; it may not always be of service to pile on too many things at once: Choose your battles wisely. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde: Communicate from intuition. It could also be that an issue from a couple of weeks back needs to be re-communicated…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-12 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Also on Saturday: Neptune starts to slow down its speed, getting ready for the 5-month retrograde phase that starts on June 12th.A planet's energies are more exalted during it's "station period". With an outer planet this has more weight: they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign. It will be felt until June 26th.

Sunday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday morning for details).

Sunday morning, a challenging Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:08am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday night on, it will be strong until next week Wednesday morning. This aspect asks us to stretch and grow: On the one hand we want to use our mind to feel confident and centered, on the other hand, we are compelled to listen to our intuition and let our imagination go wild.

Concentrating on artistic or spiritual pursuits might be better than focusing on things that require straightforward, factual thinking at this time. We might feel confused; it might be a challenge to know where we stand with others. As best as you can, avoid things like scheduling surgery, important appointments, job interviews, or launches of new projects at this time (unless they are spiritual or artistic in nature). Compassion toward ourselves works best for this time period.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 7-13 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius  or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 2:39pm EDT. At 7:01am EDT, we enter a 7.5-hour  Moon void of course (VoC) phase that ends at 2:39pm EDT; and at that time, the Moon will enter optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Wednesday evening.….more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Last week was busy as hell. I could definitely feel that Mercury station in Gemini (especially from Wednesday on…)

This week's headline items: The New Moon in Taurus becomes exact very early Monday morning; Mercury comes to a halt that evening; on Thursday morning, the Sun changes signs (from Taurus to Gemini); and Mercury ends its station on Saturday.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week, three of them long: Monday very early morning (for a little over 5 hours), Tuesday afternoon (20 hours), Thursday evening (21 hours), and Sunday morning (21 hours).

Special Promotion: May 16th - 20th: Only 3 days left! Monday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:27am EDT. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

On Monday at 12:13am EDT, the New Moon in 27 degrees of Taurus becomes exact, beginning a new Moon cycle. This New Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus brings our focus to our interactions with the physical world. Click here to watch my video on the subject.

We are looking to create a healthy relationship with “matter", in which we are neither too attached or too disconnected from our bodies, resources (such as money) and planet — in fact, we are invited to form a healthy attitude towards nature, money, and all of life.

We are powerfully reminded to take the time to honor the only planet we can currently live on — The Earth — to honor its resources and beauty. We are also invited to honor ourselves, our own bodies, and our talents.

Venus is the ruler of Taurus; it moves through Cancer at the time of the New Moon, asking us to not only honor ourselves and this planet, but also to nurture it: To take care of our physical and emotional bodies, to honor our feelings and our needs.

To bring all this together, ask yourself: How can I create more beauty in my life? More peace? What am I feeling? What do I need?

Venus in Cancer makes a Trine to Neptune in Pisces; this helps us to understand that we are all connected on a Soul level — energetically speaking we are all one. Whatever we do to another, or to this planet, we are ultimately doing to ourselves.

In the last two years, a profound conscious awareness has developed, that connects us to all that is alive. For the next 28 days, it will be helpful to access this awareness — and the best ways to do this are meditation, art, our dreams and intuition. Going beyond our five senses, and trusting our sixth sense will help open our hearts, eyes and minds.

Venus also squares the Moon Nodes. This marks a turning point in our journey towards a greater understanding of equality, fairness and collaboration. We become more aware of where we need to be more sensitive or patient, where we need to trust the process of co-creating with the universe.

Venus is also approaching an opposition with Pluto that will be exact on May 21st. This invites us to recognize our fundamental needs and take responsibility for nurturing and nourishing ourselves on all levels (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). As best as you can, allow for the balance between accomplishing and nurturing yourself.

Venus is also approaching a square to Uranus (exact on May 25th). This asks us to stretch ourselves and change anything that our inner compass no longer points toward.

Questions you can ask yourself at this time: Am I living in the “right” place? Am I receiving as much as I’m giving? What is my Soul yearning for? What needs to change, so I can nourish and nurture myself more fully?

Mercury is starting its retrograde phase on the same day that the New Moon becomes exact; it will be retrograde until June 11th.  Given this, its energy is quite exalted until then, powerfully reminding us to take a good look at any unhelpful conditioning or thinking patterns. During this time we are asked to stretch ourselves and, as best as we can, be very clear -- extra thorough, and in touch with our intuition.

This will support us over the next 28 days in re-thinking and releasing what no longer works, especially around communications, technologies, and anything connected to transportation. Think of it as an opportunity to upgrade those areas of your life.

To sum it all up: We are invited to look at where we are attached and disconnected regarding the physical world: how could we find a healthy balance with the things we value over the next 28 days? How can we nurture ourselves and feel more connected to our home, this planet?

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 5:27am Monday morning, and 1:57pm Tuesday afternoon (EDT)

Ask yourself: What am I holding on to, that no longer supports a healthy relationship with myself? With the physical world? Where am I getting attached out of fear for my safety or security (emotional or material)? Could it be that these attachments are holding me back from experiencing abundance? What if I allowed myself to be free of all attachments, just for a moment, just for right now -- just to see what would happen? ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 25-29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Right when the New Moon becomes exact, we enter a 5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that ends at 5:27am EDT. Use this intuitive time to be still. Connect to your body's wisdom -- pamper yourself and others. As best as you can, try to find new perspectives in regards to what you need most in order to feel nourished and nurtured. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow.

Monday at 5:27am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.

Mercury comes to a still stand Monday at 9:49pm EDT in 13 degrees of Gemini (starting its 3-week retrograde phase), slowing things down tremendously today and tomorrow. Give yourself extra time to go to work this morning or to get things done. If you are traveling today, just simply go with the flow… you'll get there... eventually ;-) The same is true when it comes to all our technological devices…

This retrograde phase will last until June 11th. People worry about Mercury retrogrades, but it’s important not to stop one's life during these times. As mentioned above, certain things may take longer -- but a retrograde gives us a chance to process information -- especially things that came up within the past three weeks. Take time to investigate your own thought processes: What feels too busy to you? What if you got really clear about that?

For the next three weeks, we get a chance to explore our inner dialog -- to connect from within to what we say to ourselves on a daily basis. It's also a chance to readdress communications with others, learning experiences, or conditioning from the past. This is an internal process -- a chance to honor and communicate our thoughts, working from the inside to the outside.

As always: with Mercury retrograde, always read the small print -- and re-read a contract before signing (if you have to sign something) -- or ask another person for a second opinion... Basically, during these periods, it's best to be aware of any details that we might have overlooked... and check in with our intuition... and stay open to the possibility of renegotiation or adjustments, down the line!

In general, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reevaluating and reorganizing. This is especially true for our thought patterns and decisions (particularly those made in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the retrograde) -- but it's true of our lives in general: we can reach a clearer understanding as to what works, and what doesn’t, and what needs to change. Reconnecting with old friends, clients and family members (especially siblings) is also favored at this time …

Mercury also represents our day-to-day mind; this too is experienced more internally at this time. When it comes to communication, make sure that what you say, write and hear is the same as the intended meaning -- and use the spell-checker ;-)

Another thing to take into consideration: how does each Mercury retrograde phase affect your personal birth chart. Do you have any personal planets that Mercury will align with during its retrograde journey? The houses of your chart each represent different areas of your life -- which of the houses in your chart is affected by this retrograde?

As with any retrograde, some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. That will be true if any of the following apply to you: Gemini or Virgo as your Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- or your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 4-13 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo.

Tuesday: theMoon remainsin chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Monday morning for details). With Mercury having gone retrograde yesterday, we may need to slow things down a little, tapping into a more intuitive place for all interactions. Rather than initiating new contacts, consider reconnecting with old friends or former business associates; likewise, it’s also best to revisit conversations from the past three to four weeks, rather than starting new ones.

Tuesday at 1:57pm EDT, we enter a 20-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that ends at 9:56am EDT (Wednesday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to get in touch with your inner vision for life and share it with like-minded people. As always during a VoC, don’t start anything brand-new; as best as you can, go with the flow. Routine tasks work very well during this time.

Wednesday at 9:56am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Friday afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others.

Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary. Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

Our Special Promotion for the Soul’s Journey weekend in NYC ends today (May 20th) — so if you have been thinking about joining us in exploring your Soul’s Journey and Purpose, register here and get two Soul-Based Astrology Course Recordings for FREE (total of 7 classes -- value $265.00) :-)

Thursday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Wednesday morning for details).

Thursday at 4:45am EDT, the Sun changes signs from steady, sensual Taurus to versatile, fast-thinking Gemini. It will journey through Gemini until June 21st. With the Sun in Gemini, the urge for self-expression is strong. We may be extra interested in collecting and sharing information. This is a time when curiosity and adaptability are favored. We are more flexible, changeable and adaptable -- which makes us quite social as well.

We enjoy intellectual conversations and we can easily become bored if we are not getting enough mental stimulation at this time. We are more objective and observant, but prefer to keep things light and easy. There is usually a nervousness in the air at this time as well, as we are constantly seeking to connect and have new interactions. “Sharing” is the name of the game.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Gemini Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Gemini, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo your vitality will most likely speed up and you feel more chatty than usual.

Thursday at 8:36pm EDT, we enter a 21-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that ends at 5:42pm EDT (Friday afternoon). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

We’ll be drawn to brainstorming with like-minded people about new, unusual ways of doing things, expressing our unique spark directly and openly. We’ll also very likely desire time with family, and safe emotional connections to others; as best as you can, make room for both. As always during VoC, take it easy, go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new -- if at all possible, plan Thursday evening and Friday ahead of time.

Thursday evening, a Venus/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 9:57pm EDT. We started to feel this opposition from Monday on; it will be strong until Sunday. We are called to create a balance between our desire for harmony with people we care about, versus our desire to bring a deep focus and passionate approach to long-term commitments.

We can learn a lot about ourselves through relationships during this opposition. We may not always like what we see though: We may glimpse our "darker" side -- and it will be critical that we recognize it as our own "stuff", rather than projecting it onto a partner or family member. Sexual intensity or attraction can be a part of this transit too -- as can fear of losing loved ones or of being abandoned.

We have a deeply lodged need to establish a sense of self-worth at this time; we may start to argue or lay blame in order to feel better about ourselves. We need to be less concerned with how we "appear" to others and more with how we actually "are". All of this could bring up deep feelings in connection with others.

There also might be a tendency to confuse "Love" and "Power" right now; as best as you can, be true to yourself and come from an open heart, rather than a scared one. This aspect is also part of a T-square with Uranus, so we are going to feel some tension here... but also quite energized. As best as you can, think outside the box and focus on cooperation, collaboration and win-win solutions.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Friday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer and VoC until 5:42pm EDT (see Wednesday morning and Thursday evening for details). At that time, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Monday early morning. We have a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible, they will be deeply appreciated :-)

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you squeak just thinking about it?

If you set intentions on Monday or Tuesday (after the New Moon became exact), from Friday on, after 5:52pm EDT,will be the best time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Friday late evening, a Sun/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 9:35pm EDT. We are called to balance our own pleasures with the emotional requirements of others. We started to feel this opposition from Tuesday on, it is strong until Monday of next week. As best as you can, give yourself permission to be playful, joyful and creative, while taking care of your responsibilities and commitments.

We may experience a lack of energy or confidence. Some sort of buckling down is necessary at this time; this could be perceived as limitations arising from people or circumstances. Mental blocks are possible at this time, as is a general feeling of "slowdown".

That said, we can also take this time to sort out our life, improve our work, and become more efficient. If things or people leave our life, the connection was likely weak -- or they somehow no longer serve a healthy purpose in our life. Go slow and steady; pushing too hard will backfire.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo,Aquarius or 0-5 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Saturday: the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Friday late afternoon for details).

Saturday starts out with lots of opportunities to get things done and move exciting projects forward -- but by the early afternoon, we begin to feel uneasy. We need to develop inner awareness around our sensitivities and bring compassion to them. In the afternoon and early evening, we have an opportunity to communicate our heart’s desire, and connect with others from the heart.

Towards the later evening, we are also being asked to bring some awareness to whatever it is we feel most passionate about -- as in the early afternoon, we feel an internal unease. Are we after laughter and joy? Or intense and authentic emotion? As best as you can, make adjustments as needed, and drop any self-judgment.

Running in parallel with the above, we are also being asked to bring awareness to our deepest commitments; and likewise, this brings a sense of internal dissonance or unease. Fun or Business? Follow your bliss or long-term goals? Again, as best as you can, make adjustments as needed, without judging yourself.

Sunday: the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Friday late afternoon for details).

Sunday at 6:50am EDT, we enter a 21-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that ends at 4:52am EDT (Monday morning). Use this intuitive time to connect from the heart to like-minded people and allow your unique spark to be seen. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new (if at all possible, plan your day ahead of time).

The day starts out full of enthusiasm and optimism -- we feel strong and full of energy. By the late morning though, we may need to make some internal adjustments, allowing ourselves to heal our insecurities by bringing love and understanding to old wounds. That said, throughout the day, lots of great connections and ideas are possible.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo at 4:52am EDT, where it will journey until Wednesday of next week; in the afternoon a challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 1:09pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until next week Thursday morning.

The first Quarter Moon in 4 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 1:19pm EDT; in the evening, a challenging Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 7:38pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until Saturday morning of next week… more about all that in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Practice Gentleness -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., May 11th - Sun., May 17th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was quite intense. The Sun/Pluto Trine in the Earth signs gave me lots of energy and focus -- I accomplished quite a bit. That said, when Venus moved into Cancer on Thursday night, I could feel my energy level changing… I had to focus more on self-care from then on ;-)

This week's headline items:The last Quarter Moon in Aquarius becomes exact on Monday morning; Mars changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Monday late evening; the Mercury station intensifies on Wednesday; we enter the Balsamic Moon phase on Thursday evening; and the New Moon in Taurus becomes exact Sunday night/next Monday very early morning.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for almost 16.5 hours), Wednesday early afternoon (for a little over 12 hours), and Friday morning (for 19 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 10:53pm EDT.

Monday at 6:36am EDTthe last Quarter Moon in 20 degrees of Aquarius  becomes exact. We start to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Aquarius, last week on Saturday evening. The Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in steady, down-to-earth TaurusThis may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon (on May 17/18th).

With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what needs to be completed. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since April 18th? What did it mean for you?  As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up between yourself and others -- and for any internal conflicts.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-22 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Right after the last Quarter Moon becomes exact (6:36am EDT), we enter an almost 16.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which ends at 10:53pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

We’ll seek brainstorming with like-minded people about new, unusual ways of doing things. We’ll also very likely desire time for enjoying nature, our bodies — basically, the physical realm — wanting to experience life as it is, rather than wanting to change any of it. As best as you can, make room for both, but don’t drive yourself crazy with this: As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Monday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 1:44pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday night on; it will be strong until Wednesday night of next week. This aspect is an opportunity for self-healing; this could support our confidence and brings us into better alignment with our physical and emotional body.

We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths -- how might this be true for you?

Between Friday of this week and Tuesday of next week, as best as you can, practice gentleness; be kind to yourself and others. Again, remember: an opportunity is an opening, a glimpse of new possibilities -- so "opportunities" are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow -- we have to "take" them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 19-23 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or CancerIf so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo)

Monday at 10:40pm EDTMars moves from peaceful, steady Taurus into curious, quick-witted Gemini. For the next 6 weeks, we might have difficulty sustaining our interest, embarking on multiple projects at once, spreading ourselves too thin. Even more than at other times, we will benefit from focusing our energies, rather than scattering them. We seek mental activities: sharing, teaching, learning, writing, etc.

A sharpened wit can lead to "victory" in arguments during this time. We can be talkative, to the point of verbal diarrhea. We definitely want to talk things through, getting everything off our chests, especially when we're fired up. Our versatility and general disdain for routine keeps us busy. We may feel quite fidgety, full of nervous energy; this could be at the root of physical ups and downs.

All this is especially true if you are an Aries, Scorpio or Gemini Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Gemini, you will feel more energized, passionate and direct -- and also physically stronger -- than usual. As an Aries or Scorpio, you will be chattier and busier for the next 6 weeks :-)

Minutes later, after Mars changes signs (at 10:53pm EDT)the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Tuesday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Today (Tuesday) starts soft and mushy. It might take a little longer to wake up this morning and leave the house, we may want to say home and enjoy snuggle time with a loved one or pet (or just ourselves :-). As the day goes on we'll feel quite inspired and compassionate.

In the late afternoon/early evening, we might need to make some adjustments and connect our head with our heart, allowing ourselves to trust all that occurs. This is especially true with regards to communication and sharing. Between 6:28pm EDT and Thursday early morning is a perfect time for spiritual endeavors, creativity, or helping others.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday late evening for details). As mentioned above, this is a great day for spiritual or creative endeavors, or helping others.

Mercury’s station intensifies today (Wednesday), as it is preparing for its retrograde phase, which lasts from May 18th until June 11th; it will come to a complete halt next week Monday, in 13 degrees of Gemini

We will experience the effects of this station until May 23rd; during that time, anything connected to Mercury's energy will come into our awareness quite strongly. Mercury is connected to all forms of communication, sharing, teaching, learning, listening, speaking, selling, buying, transportation, shipping, and signing contracts.

During the station period we might experiences delays or misunderstandings. Things tend to feel "off" or stagnant, especially when dealing with any of the above-mentioned areas…rather than starting any brand-new projects, follow through with items you already had on your plate or your to-do-list ;-)

As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now -- you may need to address those issues, during the Mercury retrograde phase. (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here: http://vsta.pr/102aFxh )

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets in 11-15 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces.

On Wednesday at 12:55pm EDT, we enter a roughly 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that ends at 1:13am EDT Thursday. Use this intuitive time to connect to your higher Self. Do your best to bring a sense of flow and trust to your relationship to money (particularly your worthiness to receive it). As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, plan your day ahead of time or simply go with the flow… 'cos the flow knows where to go ;-)

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning at 1:13am EDT, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Saturday early morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Thursday eveningwe enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Sunday night/Monday very early morning, when the New Moon in Taurus becomes exact (…more on that next week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Friday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Thursday early morning for details).

Friday very early morninga Mars/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 2:03am EDT. We started to feel this connection from Monday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. We may face obstacles, blockages, or opposition to our sense of freedom, our drive, and our ambitions. We also might become more cautious now.

We are learning to live in moderation now -- but this may be frustrating, as we face tests or trials that remind us that pushing too hard or too fast doesn't always get us the results we want. It's time to slow down a little, catch our breath, even experience some setbacks -- all so we come back stronger, more controlled, directed and mature. Taking responsibility is key!

Mars is the inner teenager and Saturn is the inner adult. Mars wants to move fast and get results, Saturn wants us to slow down and focus on the essential/the truth of the matter -- and sustainable over a long time. What would it take to find your inner balance with those two archetypes?

If we are experiencing these energies within a relationship, we can ask ourselves which of them we are living out. Try these questions: Am I being impatient? Do I feel scattered? Am I moving too fast? Am I scared that I missed something essential? That something might not work out long-term? Do I feel the need to set healthy boundaries with others? Or to take a more serious look at my beliefs, at the bigger picture? Whichever of these questions resonates, allow yourself to open your heart to the other side, as best as you can ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces, Virgo or 29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (since Mars is the ruler of Aries, while Saturn rules Capricorn)

On Friday at 8:04am EDTwe enter a 19-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that lasts until 3:02am EDT Saturday. Use this intuitive time to connect to your inner revolutionary, or nurture the inner eccentric and try being completely yourself ;-) As always with a Moon VoC, do your best to plan the day ahead of time, or simply go with the flow… That said, avoid starting anything brand-new (and you may want to expect the unexpected today as well ;-)

Important: Our Early Bird Special for the Soul’s Journey weekend in NYC ends today (May 15th) — so if you have been thinking about joining us in exploring your Soul’s Journey and Purpose, register here now! :-)

Saturday at 3:02am EDT: the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Monday morning.

Saturday afternoona harmonious Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 2:49pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Wednesday on, it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This aspect makes for a very creative and beautiful time; music, art, the movies and the theatre are in high demand. Spiritual endeavors are easily shared with others.

We connect to others in a compassionate, sweet, loving way; we are more likely to feel romantic. We might not have the best boundaries in place, when it comes to relationships, socializing or money... but we sure as hell know how to enjoy ourselves.

Our intuition and instincts are strongly supported here too. It becomes easier to trust others and open up to them; we give ourselves permission to receive love and emotional support. As best as you can, let all feelings flow.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-13 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Sunday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Saturday early morning for details).

Sunday starts powerfully: We feel an intensity and a depth with where we are headed. This is a great time to transform our lives, stripping away anything -- especially feelings and memories -- that no longer connect with who we are now.

Ask yourself: How can I live more authentically? Is there anything holding me back? What could I release now that is no longer serving my evolution? Would I be willing to let that go — to honor myself?

On Sunday afternoon, we have an opportunity to heal some emotional wounds from the past; if we can allow this to happen, it could increase our confidence and bring us into better alignment with our physical and emotional body. As best as you can, practice gentleness -- be kind to yourself and others.

As Sunday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Saturday early morning for details). At 12:13am EDT, the New Moon in 27 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. click here to watch my video on the subject

There is also a 5-hour Moon VoC phase that starts at 12:13am EDT. At 5:27am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, and Mercury comes to a still stand at 9:49pm EDT, starting it’s 3-week retrograde phase… more about all that in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja
