After I returned from my Life of the Soul Retreat, I decided to stop watching TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. ;-) So far, it feels good — I’ve been allowing myself to connect more fully with the silence within, also listening to more music and guided meditations... Probably has a lot to do with the Mercury/Neptune Square that we have been feeling for most of May. I am taking it one day at time… allowing the urge for TV and distraction to rise up, then allowing it to release ;-) Noticing without judging…
This week's headline items: the Full Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Tuesday early afternoon; Venus trines the Solar Eclipse degree from March 20th on Thursday evening; on Friday, Venus changes signs from Cancer to Leo and Mercury starts to slow down again (getting ready to move direct again next week); and Neptune’s station intensifies on Saturday.
There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 7.5 hours), Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (fro almost 19 hours), Friday morning (for almost 18 hours), and Sunday late morning (for almost 18 hours as well).
Monday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 2:39pm EDT. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time.
As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free.
Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.
Monday at 7:01am EDT, we enter a 7.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that ends at 2:39pm EDT; and at that time, the Moon enters optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Wednesday evening. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.
We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the Full Moon (exact on Tuesday around noon).
On Monday (in the late afternoon), we need to get more serious about self-care, and slow down a little. We are being invited to focus on the bigger picture.
Tuesday: the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday afternoon for details).
Tuesday late morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:40am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday night on; it will be strong until Wednesday night. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
As best as you can, evaluate any projects before getting involved; our great energy and genuine humanitarian spirit could feed other people's unrealistic expectations, leaving us drained and unappreciated. If we are able to reevaluate our everyday habits and our inner dialog, we will see whether or not they really support our long term goals.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-16 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).
As mentioned above, the entrance of the Moon into Sagittarius (on Monday afternoon) started the energetic build-up towards the Full Moon; this is exact Tuesday around noon at 12:19pm EDT, in almost 12 degrees of Sagittarius. For the next two weeks, we are looking for balance: We are more aware than everthat something needs to be brought into alignment.
The balance in question is between our mental processes -- symbolized by Gemini -- and our quest for a larger truth (Sagittarius). It's important to realize that the Sagittarian urge to go beyond our everyday interactions and familiar environments is essential to our growth process — and also plays a crucial role in how we interact with others and how we share our knowledge (Gemini).
Any Full Moon is a more extroverted and emotional time; this time around, we are being invited to unify mind and heart, so we can discover a new world of possibilities.
Sagittarius shows us a wider perspective, one that has us look beyond facts and learned knowledge to our direct life experiences, and the wisdom we gain from them. Gemini wants us to stay connected to our immediate environment and our day-to-day mind -- processing and sharing information as fast and as much as possible. How do we step off the information treadmill?
Mercury is retrograde in its own sign (it’s the ruler of Gemini). This points our attention inwards and thereby helps us develop a more conscious connection to our inner dialog.
You may want to ask yourself: How do I communicate? Do I have a harsh inner critic? Do my communications promote separation or connectedness/unity?
We may not think of ourselves as violent, yet anything that promotes separation — judging, criticizing, blaming, labeling, etc. — could be thought of as a form of violence.
Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is in Leo. It makes a beautiful Grand Trine with Uranus in Aries and the Moon in Sagittarius; this provides the support we need to step bravely into the world with our new ideas, embracing our own individuality with more enthusiasm. We are able to take risks now -- and have a different perspective about what’s new and unusual.
Neptune in Pisces makes a square not only to the Full Moon, but also to Mercury and Mars in Gemini... the message is clear: Stretch, grow, slow down, go within. Our conditioned mind may be out of harmony with our intuitive sensing. As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for daily rituals such as meditation, time in nature, etc. This will help you fully connect with your heart and Soul.
Neptune indicates another way of perceiving and knowing… Intuition is non-linear, it connects us with an intelligence far beyond the bounds of logic and analysis. To access it we must slow down and tune inwards. With this Full Moon, we are being asked to switch to a very different operating system, one that has always been available to us, but has been pushed aside and ignored by so many of us living in this modern world.
Intuition is our guide in this fast-paced world -- wherever we are and whatever we experience. Knowing and sensing with the heart is very powerful -- and thinking and understanding only with our minds cuts us off from a vast resource. Through intuition, we can tap into the “knowingness” of the whole Universe… What could be more powerful than that?
The busier we are, the more we need quiet, meditative Soul-time -- even if it’s just a few minutes, before moving on to the next thing. Centering ourselves in our hearts is going to be the most valuable tool of the 21st Century. By not getting so identified with the mind and letting the heart guide us, we can be less reactive, make fewer errors and see alternatives more easily. We become more peaceful and more productive….
How can your mind be of service to your heart? If we remember that being of service to others -- to the world -- is our greatest gift to humanity, we can find peace and happiness from within. As best as you can, come from "beginner's mind”… Trust what you feel and intuit; look for what's true right here, right now.
Any tool that helps you be more present in the here and now, and helps you get connected to your heart and intuition, is a tool worth having in your tool box. I personally have used “The Sedona Method” for the past 9 years. It’s been a godsend to me and my husband -- it helps us stay present, in the here and now, connecting us to the awareness that we are.
The present moment is the only place where we have control and influence. It is in the now that we create our future and where we can make the most difference. As best as you can, give yourself the gift of connecting with your inner self daily, in whatever way works best for you. Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Sagittarius,Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Wednesday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday afternoon for details).
Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that last for almost 19-hours (until 8:50pm EDT). Use this intuitive time to connect to like-minded people and learn something new about your unique self. See if you can broaden your approach, when it comes to your goals or projects. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow and avoid starting anything brand-new.
Wednesday at 8:50pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Friday night/Saturday very early morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.
We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)
Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?
Thursday:the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Wednesday evening for details).
Back on March 20th, a Solar Eclipse occurred in 29 degrees of Pisces: On Thursday at 10:22pm EDT, Venus (in a late degree of Cancer) trines this same Solar Eclipse degree. This promotes a heart connection to our higher Selves… Observe how this plays out for you today: What are you receiving? What is calling to you?
Friday: now this is a big day! First, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Wednesday evening for details). At 6:54am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that last for almost 18-hours (until 1:02am EDT — Friday night/Saturday very early morning).
We may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: On the one hand, we have a need for mature, diligent accomplishment -- and on the other, a desire for rapid progress toward goals, we may want to move a mile a minute, impatiently and enthusiastically hurling ourselves forward into the unknown.
Use this intuitive time to make adjustments (and find creative solutions) when it comes to resolving these desires. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your day ahead of time ;-)
Friday at 11:33am EDT, Venus changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer tofun-loving, extroverted Leo, where it will journey until July 18th; and then again from July 31st — Oct. 8th, due to its retrograde phase. This changes how we do relationships. We are more inclined to have fun now and socialize with others. We don't need to stay home anymore: it's time to get out and take some risks, have some fun, express ourselves.
With Venus in Leo we love to be admired and adored -- we love to feel special. Giving out compliments works very well during this time. We relate to others from our heart and we love to be seen as generous and loving. Love and affection are very important during this time, so give as much of those as possible and it shall all be returned to you a thousandfold ;-)
As for closer relationships: you can never give too much attention to your partner, yourself or your friends during this time. With regards to our finances: we are able to take more risks now; it's a favorable time especially for anything connected with entertainment, children or sports.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more outgoing and confident for the period Venus moves through Leo. Your heart will want to connect and be admired. Creative endeavors will feel satisfying to you. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.
Friday evening, an opportune Mars/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 7:38pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Monday. This aspect is an opportunity to tap into our optimism, enthusiasm and sense of expansionm -- we are more likely to connect to others from the heart and express ourselves “full-out".
We feel strong, and we are more straightforward than ever. Our powers of assertion are strong at this time, and they go over well with others. As with all opportunities in life, this opportunity is not simply handed to us, we have to make something of it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Gemini, Leo, Aries or Libra? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius)
Lastly, also on Friday,Mercury starts to slow down again (“stationing”). It’s getting ready to come to a halt, ending its 3-week retrograde phase, on Thursday of next week, June 11th (more on that next week…). For the next 13 days (until June 18th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.
We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready for travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here: http://vsta.pr/102aFxh )
Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 3-7 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces.
Saturday very early morning at 1:02am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Monday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.
Also on Saturday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 2:23am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Monday. This signals a time when we don't take connections with others lightly; we are more attracted to long-term, committed partnerships than more casual relationships.
We feel a strong sense of responsibility to the ones we love -- we see ourselves as being responsible and trustworthy. We have increased sensitivity to the needs of others. Mutual respect and loyalty is very important to us at this time.
Support from older people or authority figures may come by way of solid advice or more tangible help. We are ready to connect to others in a mature fashion -- we are more likely to treat each other with respect and stand in our integrity. How can you connect to yourself and others through your "inner adult"?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-3 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries, as well as 28+29 degrees of Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces ? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Lastly on Saturday, Neptune’s station intensifies -- it is slowing down even more, before coming to a complete halt on June 12th (it has a 5-month retrograde coming up). A planet's energies are more "exalted” when it stations. With an outer planet, this has more weight, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign -- and we will feel its effects until June 26th.
Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.
This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.
Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 8-12 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
Sunday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Saturday evening for details).
Sunday at 10:30am EDT, we enter an almost 18-hour long Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 4:16am EDT (Monday morning). This is an intuitive time that presents an opportunity to connect to innovative ideas and unique worldviews. If possible, share these with others, without apologies. Let your personal projects reflect your unique vision for life. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow, and avoid starting anything brand-new (if at all possible, plan your day ahead of time).
A head's up for next Monday: At 4:12am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday morning of next week. This also starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Tuesday of next week); an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:56pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will be strong until Wednesday of next week… more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
Have a fantastic week!
