A Passionate Combination -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Aug. 31st - Sun., Sept. 6th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was sobering.... I got more clarity about my current state of health. A lot of sadness came up, at the same time, I was also able to clear some fear and anger connected to my family of origin and past conditioning. Towards the end of the week I felt much more empowered and was able to take action on things that I had pushed away for quite a while.

This week's headline items: the Venus station intensifies on Wednesday; the Solar Eclipse is coming closer (10-day alert on Thursday); the last Quarter Moon in Gemini becomes exact on Saturday morning; Venus comes to a halt on Sunday morning.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very early morning (for 1.5 hours), Tuesday early afternoon (for 16.5 hours), Friday morning (for 1.5 hours), and Saturday evening (for 18.5 hours).

Monday at 2:53am EDT, we enter a 1.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) phase that lasts until 4:33am EDT. If you are already awake, use this intuitive time to bring moderation to your emotional or spiritual connections with others. See if you can go deeper — and bring compassion to the inner exploration of yourself. Take it easy and, as always during VoC: Go with the flow (and avoid starting anything brand-new).

Monday at 4:33am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Monday late evening, a Sun/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 11:38pm EDT. We started to feel this opposition from last Friday on; it will be strong until this Thursday. Having a balance between logic and intuition -- between what we know and what we feel -- is essential at this time. We need to gain clarity over our dreams and come to understand that we can only improve our current situation through forgiveness and love.
The mind will play an important role during this time: Provided they make sense to you, choices that connect you to your heart will help you succeed. It's also important to give up being "right" and thereby allow flow. As best as you can, trust your intuition ;-)
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-11 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or SagittariusIf so, you will feel this opposition quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Tuesday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Monday morning for details)

Tuesday very early morning, a Venus/Mars alignment in 15 degrees of Leo becomes exact at 1:04am EDT. We started feeling this alignment from last Friday on and it will stay strong until this Friday. This is a very passionate combination: action and receptivity, assertiveness and allowing. As Venus is also stationing at this time, her energies are more exalted.

There are feminine energies (receiving/allowing/enjoying) and masculine energies (active/doing/asserting) within and around us. This Venus/Mars connection brings a new beginning between these energies: a marriage of courage and joy -- a new beginning of a courageous feminine energy being protected and reinforced by the masculine.

This transit generates a passionate, warm, expressive, lively, and sexy energy. We are now able to take the initiative to achieve harmony and sexual fulfillment. Our creativity and desire to make something beautiful is stimulated now. We are more able to combine warmth with energy. We may also feel compelled to do something creative or artistic.

In general, we now have a chance to express our needs, passions, and desires in effective ways. Venus is diplomatic, gentle, romantic, and sensitive, while Mars is more forceful, sexual, and assertive. Venus can act to soften Mars' aggressiveness, or Mars can make Venus' romantic impulses more forceful and pressing.

The last time we experienced this alignment was in June 1991. Was there a new beginning back then, in regards to your feminine and masculine energies? What has shifted for you since then? What is the inner feminine/Goddess saying to you now?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Tuesday at 12:37pm EDT, we enter a 16.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 5:02am EDT (Wednesday morning)Use this intuitive time to get in touch with your own unique spark and ideas for your own personal goals. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan your day ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 5:02am EDT (see Monday morning for details). At that time the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Friday morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

The Venus station intensifies today (Wednesday). The station brings all relationship, self-worth and financial issues to the forefront. This stationing period lasts until Sept. 17th, bringing into focus what we do and don’t have; until then, we are more aware of our relationships or the lack thereof.

This forces us to look at who we value (including ourselves), and at what is truly important to us, when it comes to our inner joy and bliss. It’s important to pay attention now, because when Venus goes direct again, we’ll get a chance to address and resolve all these issues. Venus is coming to a halt (and moving direct) in 4 days; more on thaton Sunday...

Is your Sun sign or Ascendant in Taurus or Libra? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-17 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will feel a stronger connection to this Venus station.

Thursday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday morning for details).

I would like to mention the upcoming Solar and Lunar Eclipses. Eclipses are consciousness upgrades. For 7 - 10 days before and after an Eclipse, we are usually in uncharted territory: anything is possible and it's wise to expect the unexpected. The upcoming Solar Eclipse will be exact on Sept. 13th (feel free to watch my video on the subject — will be posted by Sunday evening).

Anything brand-new (and I really mean brand, brand-new) started during this time will likely not pan out the way we thought it would, often because important information comes to light only after Eclipse season is over. If possible, try to defer any major brand-new projects until after Oct.12th, when this Eclipse season is over. If something is beginning or ending in a way that seems organic… allow it to be.

Another Eclipse-related phenomenon: not only do Eclipses bring up uncertainty in us, they might also leave us nervous, anxious, unsettled and disoriented. As best as you can, observe your feelings and stay grounded in the "here and now". If you feel rushed into something, take a deep breath and connect to your heart, intuition and inner wisdom: They will carry you through.

Just like upgrading a computer, you will get all the information you need, as soon as the upgrade is complete -- so as best you can, be patient.  This does not mean that we need to drop everything; it just means it's wise to check in with your higher Self -- do this whichever way feels right to you ;-) Remember: this energetic upgrade will be complete by Oct. 12th!

Thursday late evening, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 11:02pm EDT. This could contribute either to some mental confusion and spaciness, or the need to communicate with others from our imagination (but possibly not knowing how to achieve that). We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Friday evening.

This aspect operates more on an internal level: We feel uneasy about something, sort of "awkward" -- and we need to make a choice. Sometimes, imagination and mind can run way ahead of what is actually feasible (and sensible). At these times, the grand vision is best served by focusing on the next concrete step, accepting our own idiosyncrasies as we go.

Honesty is crucial here, especially self-honesty; inner awareness is in turn crucial to deep honesty and authenticity. What's true for you? What might be possible for humanity? Where do those overlap?

Note that I say "overlap": Don't look for an exact fit, this is more like two puzzle pieces that came from different jigsaw puzzles. You might keep looking at the imperfect fit and feel a nagging sense that something doesn't make sense… but it doesn't -- it can't. The pieces are not from the same game. Just do your best to "hang out" with the discomfort, rather than repeatedly trying to figure it out and fix it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-9 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)

Friday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 7:48am EDT (see Wednesday morning for details).

Friday at 6:20am EDT, we enter a 1.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 7:48pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between your need for material safety and physical "wants”, versus your deep emotional commitments to others — as best as you can, allow for both. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow ;-)

Friday at 7:48am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Sunday afternoon. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment.

With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good. This Moon placement also starts the built-up towards the last Quarter Moon, exact on Saturday morning. More on that tomorrow…

Saturday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Friday morning for details).

Saturday at 5:54am EDT, the last Quarter Moonin 12 degrees of Gemini will become exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Gemini: from Friday morning onThe Moon in curious, chatty Gemini makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in practical, detail- and service-oriented Virgo. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change. This Moon phase brings us closer to Sept. 13th New Moon (which is also a Solar Eclipse)

During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be August 14th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Saturday at 7:04pm EDT, we enter a 18.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC) that last until 1:40pm EDT (Sunday afternoon). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to make connections to like-minded people that might support your projects and sentiments. If at all possible, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new though — in fact, plan your evening ahead of time or stick to routine things. If nothing else… simply go with the flow.

Saturday evening, a harmonious Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 7:10pm EDT. We started to feel this connection from Wednesday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This aspect brings a sense of focus and empowerment to our long-term goals. We have the ability to look at everything in a very down-to-earth manner right now; through our understanding of "what is and what is not", we can make more powerful choices.
We can also deepen our understanding of our own motivations and look closely at where we are heading. This aspect also brings an intensity and a depth to our conscious awareness; therefore this is also a great time to transform our lives, stripping away anything -- even people -- that no longer connect with who we are.
Ask yourself: How can I live more authentically? Is there anything holding me back? What could I release now that is no longer serving my evolution? Would I be willing to let that go?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn or Taurus? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun being the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Sunday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini until 1:40pm EDT (see Friday morning for details).

Sunday at 4:29am EDT, Venus comes to a halt at 14 degrees of Leo — turning direct after having been retrograde since July 25th. Whether by Sun-sign or Ascendent, Taurus and Libra people will feel a sense of relief as Venus starts speeding up again, helping us integrate the realizations of the past six weeks. This will lead to a greater sense of alignment between our inner values and our joyful/authentic expression around relationships and finance.

Venus will be moving at a slower speed until Oct. 8th; between now and then, we have a chance to go over all that we have learned internally in the past 6 weeks and apply it to our external reality.

Sunday at 1:40pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Tuesday evening. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.

Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Sunday afternoon for more details). Pluto will start to slow down today -- it is getting ready to come to a halt on Sept. 25th, after its 5-month retrograde phase. This makes its energy more exalted in the sky for the next 4 weeks... more about that in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
