Self-Aware, Self-Compassionate -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct.26th - Sun., Nov.1st, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was exciting, healing and eventful. I had lots of energy;  at the same time I was also was quite aware of my limitations  (physical, emotional, mental)... This awareness supported me in being flexible when it came to my schedule and still accomplishing a lot.

This week's headline items: the Full Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Tuesday morning; on Tuesday around noon, Mars moves over the degree of the most recent Solar Eclipse -- and Venus moves over that same degree on Thursday night/Friday very early morning.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 17.5 hours), Wednesday late morning (for 15 hours), Friday late evening (for a little over 6 hours), and Sunday late evening (for a little over 12 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday very early morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Monday at 8:25am EDT, we enter a 17.5-hours Moon void of course (VoC) this lasts until 2:07am EDT Tuesday very early morning. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between satisfying your own personal needs and collaborating with others. Communication is key with this.

Since this VoC lasts all day, it is best to plan your day ahead of time, stick to routine things or simply go with the flow. If possible, avoid  starting anything brand-new.

Tuesday is a big day! It starts with the Moon moving into steady, peaceful Taurus at 2:02am EDT. It will journey there until Thursday very early morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we seek serenity, security, peace, comfort: The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: Life… slows… down... We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-) This also starts the build up towards the Full Moon (which will be exact a little later today).

Let's talk about the Full Moon in more detail: The Sun in Scorpio opposes the Moon in Taurus (this will be exact on Tuesday, at 8:05am EDT)

This is the the last of three "Super" Full Moons in a row. SuperMoons occur when the Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth at the time of a New- or Full Moon. During a Full Moon, this could very well mean an increase in emotional reactions, but it could also facilitate greater awareness around the issues connected to the Full Moon energy in question.

This Full Moon deals with the Scorpio/Taurus polarity. We'll seek balance around this polarity -- something needs to be brought into alignment -- so let's look at the two poles in question:

Scorpio teaches us to connect to our deepest passions, overcome our fears, let go of our emotional attachments or traumas, and connect deeply to ourselves and others. It teaches us to embrace all of who we are (the good, the bad, the ugly), so we can be more authentic and feel more empowered.

All this happens by bringing a conscious approach to our intimate relationships and the issues we frequently deal with when it comes to authentically connecting. Trust plays a big role in having healthy intimate relationships -- and trust is something that develops over time -- more slowly for those of us who experienced trauma in the past (this applies to developing trust with ourselves, as much as with others).

Transcending trauma to gain inner strength and wisdom can take time -- it certainly can't be rushed. Even if the mind understands what's going on, recovery is an emotional process; these always take a little longer than mental processing. However, when we don't start this process at all, we get stuck in projections. We're left blaming others and feeling disempowered.

Awareness (and embracing that which enters awareness) is the only way to move towards empowerment.

Let's look at the other pole in this balancing act: Taurus seeks a healthy relationship with the physical world — this includes our body, planet, resources, money, and our highest values. We learn about the power of beauty and what makes us happy on the physical level. We develop our talents and sense of self-worth -- and we can discover and manifest what we truly want.

A healthy sense of self-worth is critical: No amount of money or material possessions will substitute. Ask yourself:
What matters most to me? What makes me happy?

Some of us are over-focused on the material side of life, while others are mainly focused on the spiritual aspect of life -- and mightn't fully grasp their real worth in the material plane. For example, some of us might have a hard time asking for money, or even knowing what we have in our bank account. Where do you fall along this spectrum?

What if you changed your point of view toward the physical world by just 5%? What is in the way of you honoring your gifts/talents and feeling confident in the world?

Venus is both in alignment to Jupiter and Mars in Virgo, and in opposition to Chiron in Pisces. The ruler of Taurus is asking us to connect our masculine/feminine energies and expand our views around love, abundance and relating in the world.

The Venus-Chiron opposition brings a healing layer to our relationships. We all value exactness, practicality and logic to some extent; right now, we are asked to balance this with our nature as spiritual beings, capable of unconditional compassion and forgiveness. As best as you can, discover your path and honor who you really are: a spirit having a human experience.

Venus, Jupiter and Mars in Virgo are also making an inconjunct to Uranus in Aries at the time of the Full Moon. This indicates an inner awareness that we need to develop: It's time to think (and see) different. Flexibility is key -- what calls out to be adjusted? What needs to be put right?

Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio; it's currently in Capricorn, where it forms a trine to Jupiter, Venus and Mars in Virgo. This is a very powerful combo; it asks us to be completely honest (with ourselves and others) about our intentions and motivations, especially around long-term goals. It suggests that each one of us has the power to make a difference in the world; we just need to seize the moment and courageously move forward.

Here are a few final coaching questions for this Full Moon: If you were projecting energies on to others, what might those energies be? If that question has you stumped, try asking this: What has been hard to embrace about yourself?

Remember: We don't have to go to the extremes; this is about finding the healthy expression of any energy. How self-aware and self-compassionate could you allow yourself to be?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-6 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Tuesday late morning, a Venus/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 10:07am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Saturday. This opposition asks us to create a balance between our emotional healing process and our relationships.

We may feel insecure around others at this time; we need to first heal our own deep fears of not being "good enough", learning to love ourselves -- and then seeing how we can meet our partners halfway. As best as you can, bring the gift of compassion, understanding and forgiveness to your own insecurities or feelings of unworthiness -- then gift that to others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 14-21 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius or Gemini ? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Last but not least, Tuesday at 12:36pm EDT, Mars moves over Sept. 13th's Solar Eclipse degree (20 degrees of Virgo), triggering things connected to that eclipse. Whatever comes up today in connection to career/work, our physical appearance or personal projects/desires, will need to be realized over the next 5.5 months.

The key is to bring awareness to two areas: First, what connects us to our Soul's journey and needs our focus? Second: what do we need to learn about, or take action on, so that we can connect more fully to "being of service" and doing things well? What are you experiencing today that propels you forward? What is asking to be initiated?

Wednesday: the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Thursdayevening for details).

Wednesday at 11:20am EDT, we enter a 15-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 2:24am EDT (Thursday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions to the seeming conflict between your needs around practical matters/finances, versus a need for fun and feeling self-expressed.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your day ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 2:24am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Saturday early morning. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.

During the first half of Thursday, we are invited to slow down and take our time, when thinking our way through "problems". The second half of the day will require adjustments -- and we may need to do a little stretching and growing, when it comes to our inner or emotional experiences. As best as you can, be gentle with yourself and others, seek to understand before seeking to be understood.

Friday: the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day (see Thursdayearly morning for details).

Friday very early morning at 3:36am EDT, Venus moves over the Solar Eclipse degree (20 degrees of Virgo). This will resonate back to Sept. 13th's Solar Eclipse: Whatever comes up this morning in connection to love, relationships, finances or your own self-worth... pay attention to it and "move with it" over the next 5 months.

What are you experiencing this morning that resonates within your whole being? Where are you being asked to open up your heart?

Friday afternoona harmonious Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 5:06pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This aspect could be tremendously supportive when it comes to dissolving what no longer serves us.

We are feeling especially intuitive during this time. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will lift our spirits. We are more likely to see matters (and people) from a different perspective -- one that allows for differences and even finds beauty in them. Our capacity for compassion (both with ourselves and with others) is quite strong as well.

Creativity is at an all-time high, as our imagination runs in full gear; any spiritual or creative endeavors that are started during this time will do very well.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 4-10 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Friday late evening at 10:52pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 6 hours until 5:09am EDT (Saturday early morning). If you are awake during this time, connect with others, share yourself and collaborate. Win-win solutions come easily right now. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow ;-)

Saturday at 5:09am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancerwhere it will journey until Monday late morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others.

Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary. Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

Here in the US, we'll feel especially close to our fellow humans as we celebrate Halloween -- we feel most drawn to family and/or familiar surroundings. As best as you can, be authentic, connect from a place of love. Self-care and emotional authenticity are of the highest value this evening.

Sunday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Saturday early morning for details).

Note that on Sunday at 2am EDT, Daylight Savings Time ends in the United States; clocks turn backwards an hour and we lose another hour of daylight. The good news is that we are able to sleep an hour longer in the morning, which we might need, if we were out celebrating Halloween the night before ;-)

Sunday late evening at 10:35pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) until 10:48am EST (Monday late morning). If you are awake during this time, use this intuitive time as an opportunity to do something in your home that can improve your daily routines, so things can run more smoothly.

As always with a Moon VoC, do your best to avoid starting anything brand-new; stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow ;-) You may also want to plan Sunday night and Monday morning ahead of time (or just plan to take it easy ;-)

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer and VoC until 10:48am EST (see Saturday early morning and Sunday late evening for details). At 2:06am EST, Mercury moves from idealistic, relationship-oriented Libra into passionate, intense Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 20th.

At 10:48am EST, the Moon moves into fun-loving, attention-seeking Leowhere it will journey until Wednesday evening of next week. Lastly, in the evening, a Venus/Mars alignment in 24 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 9:10pm EST. We started feeling this alignment from Monday (Oct. 26th) on; and it will stay strong until Sunday of next week (Nov. 8th)... more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Caught Between Two Forces -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct.19th - Sun., Oct.25th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was another nicely balanced one... I love to take advantage of these long Moon Void of Course phases by scheduling healing sessions or taking care of myself in some other way.

This week's headline items: the first Quarter Moon in Capricorn will be exact on Tuesday afternoon; the Sun changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Friday afternoon; Mercury exits its shadow phrase on Saturday. There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late afternoon (for 5 hours), Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for almost 1 hour), and Saturday morning (for 19 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Tuesday evening. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.

We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, in this moment, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Monday starts out as an opportunity for being in the flow and trusting our progress; however, we are also invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions, both when it comes to communications with others, and with our inner world. Towards the afternoon, we develop a strong focus on getting down to business and accomplishing things -- as best as you can, don't get too obsessed with anything... Take some breaks ;-)

In the later afternoon, we feel supported by co-workers and employees; things will most likely run smoothly. As Monday evening wears on we’ll have an opportunity to slow down for some healing.

Tuesday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 9:38pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 4:31pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 27 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Capricorn, last Sunday. The Moon in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in balance-seeking, relationship-oriented Libra.

We feel compelled to take action. Last week Monday saw the New Moon, on Oct.12th. If we began a project or initiative around then, it is probably off the ground by now -- and facing its first obstacles.

This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy. As best as you can, take it one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible and find creative solutions in your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 25-29 degrees of  Capricorn, Libra, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Right after the first Quarter Moon becomes exact,we enter a 5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), this lasts until 9:38pm EDT. Right now, we are experiencing two quite different needs, pulling us in different directions. On the one hand, we have a need for inner and outer harmony. On the other hand, we have commitments and responsibilities and want to make an open-hearted connection to the people involved.

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. If at all possible, refrain from starting anything brand-new; plan your evening ahead of time or stick to routine things. If nothing else… simply go with the flow.

Tuesday at 9:38pm EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquariuswhere it will journey until Thursday night/Friday very early morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Wednesday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday is great for meetings, and for sharing our vision with others: We have something interesting to say, and our perspective on issues can be delightfully unusual and surprisingly insightful. This makes for some great conversations. Anything that promises progress and advancement has special appeal.

Towards the evening, we may feel uneasy about something, perhaps even awkward. We need to bring some inner awareness to see what needs adjusting. Both our idealistic part (with its grand vision for life) and the practical, logical part need to be be heard.

Thursday: the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Thursday late afternoon, a challenging Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 5:22pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Saturday. We are experiencing this aspect for the second time in four weeks, due to the Mercury retrograde phase. This aspect creates some tension in our lives. We may feel anxious or stressed by one or more situations or interactions to do with one-on-one relationships.

We are being invited to grow and make some changes in our lives, particularly in terms of our thinking processes. We are being asked tofind creative solutions and be completely honest with ourselves and others. The best way to achieve this is by the continual practice of self-care and self-nurturing.

We have tremendous focus and drive right now, which can tip into obsession. With this aspect an all-or-nothing attitude is very likely. Choose love over fear whenever possible. Not many people enjoy being second-guessed all the time, yet that is something that we are inclined to do now.

However, our determination to get to the bottom of any matter, to rip away falsehoods and expose true motives, can be used for good if we employ it in our work, for example, in regards to investigations or research. This is an opportunity to learn to harness our intense mental energy and apply it productively. We are also capable of very hard work, focus and effort now.

We have a great love of debate, but should be careful that we don't overpower others with our strong opinions, attempting to "convert" them to our frame of mind, or treat regular exchanges of opinion as battlegrounds. Connect to others, empowering them with what you feel passionate about. Choose your words carefully, from a deeply connected and empowered place.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Thursday night/Friday very early morning at 12:22am EDT, we enter a brief Moon void of course (VoC), this lasts until 1:18am EDT. If you are awake at that time, take a break and socialize. As always during VoC, take it easy and avoid starting anything brand-new.

Friday at 1:18am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Sunday very early morning. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Friday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 3:43am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until Monday of next week. This aspect brings a fruitful and rewarding period in our lives. We experience new depths of intimacy (with an existing or new partner), we learn to appreciate the important people in our lives, and our value system transforms and evolves.

This is likely an excellent period for finances as well. Work we've done might pay off, and we are able to manage our finances better, with more attention to detail, planning and strategy -- as well as the elimination of anything that no longer serves us. We might renew a commitment, or bring new, deeper and more intimate energy into a relationship under the influence of this aspect.

Our sexual lives might get a real boost now, as we tend to want to connect on a deeper level. We might find ourselves strongly attracted to someone, almost to the point of obsession.  If this aspect connects with any of your personal planets, you might just meet the "love of your life".  One thing for sure -- relationships experienced now are bound to be unforgettable. While this transit tends to signal new or strengthened relationships, any relationship that ends during this cycle may leave us feeling liberated.

Those of us who have their Ascendent (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn or Taurus will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Friday early morning, a Mars/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 4:48am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; and it will be strong until Thursday of next week. We might feel rebellious when faced with other people's plans — but also unclear about our own direction. We may get triggered by others and feel defensive or touchy; resentments or frustrations can surface now.

We may find ourselves caught between two forces: on the one hand, there’s what we know we need to get done; on the other,  there’s finding a way to be kind and compassionate with ourselves, in the event we need to take some time out to do some healing. This aspect calls us to find a balance between those two poles. Can you allow “really well”, rather than trying to force “perfect”?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-21 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Friday afternoon, at 1:47pm EDT the Sun changes signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 22nd. The guiding principle of Scorpio is "I desire". With the Sun in Scorpio our consciousness is drawn towards depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling.

Superficiality simply will not do for the next 30 days. We have the desire to get to the bottom of matters. We are more interested in that which is hidden, taboo, secret or suppressed. Scorpio's energy is passionate, strong-willed, and intense. Used in its highest vibration, it can be an immensely healing and transformative energy.

On a lower vibration, Scorpio can express jealousy, vindictiveness, and use manipulative tactics. Bring your awareness towards your feelings, fears and behaviors. As best as you can, embrace all your feelings, let go of your fears and strip yourself from behaviors that no longer serve you.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Scorpio Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Scorpio, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more aware of your own shadow parts…anything that you have suppressed or denied about yourself: integrate all those parts, as best as you can.

Saturday: the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Friday early morning for details).

The big news for today (Saturday) is that Mercury leaves its shadow phase at almost 16 degrees of Libra! We are ready to process (and share) brand-new information. As you may recall from earlier blog entries, if you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it's best to avoid the shadow periods before and after Mercury goes retrograde.

This is especially true if the items you are thinking about getting are connected to transportation (cars, flight tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, i-pad, etc.) The shadow phase having ended, feel free to buy, sell and book whatever your heart desires Feel free to also read my blog on the subject ;-)

Saturday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:22am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday night on; it will be strong until Sunday night. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

We may want something different than the rest of society; this in itself is neutral. That said, frustrations could arise, because the way we express our unique desires goes against the expectations of others; in other words, our methods don't necessarily achieve our goals. Going for "quick wins" will require for us to start over -- as best as you can, hold to a course of action for a little longer than may be comfortable.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-19 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Saturday at 7:18am EDT, we enter a 19-hour Moon void of course (VoC), this lasts until 2:22am EDT Sunday very early morning. Do your best to find a balance between intuitively "feeling into yourself" and the world around you, versus taking fact-based, practical actions. As always during VoC, take it easy and avoid starting anything brand-new; plan your day ahead of time if you can. If that's not possible, simply go with the flow ;-)

Sunday at 2:22am EDT, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Tuesday very early morning. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

Sunday afternoon, a Venus/Jupiter alignment in 15.5 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 4:03pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until Wednesday of next week. This connection brings a certain optimism to our social and personal relationships at this time, with the ability to be of service/ being useful to others.Humor and details are playing a big role in our interactions with others, as are devotion, aiming to help, and a charming willingness to talk things out.

Financially speaking, things are "on the up" -- we may be able to plump up our pocketbooks, little by little. Best investment areas: design work, anything that focuses on the details, health-care, accounting businesses or apps.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-19 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Venus's movements and aspects)

Sunday evening, a Mercury/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 6:59pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until Tuesday next week. We want to think outside the box. We want to change a life situation (or relationship) that is out of alignment with who we now want to be. Once again, we are being called to play a bigger game. Our minds may feel overwhelmed by what all this means, especially as it relates to our relationships.

Stay calm, as best as you can: Sudden or rash decisions might backfire.

Do your best to take it one moment at a time. It may be true that something does indeed need to change; however, we need to step back, see the bigger picture, not rush into anything. Keep taking actions, even if it seems that you are not making any progress: If you keep at it, you will be rewarded ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in in 15-21 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Sunday morning for details). At 8:25am EDT, we enter a 17.5-hours Moon void of course (VoC) this lasts until 2:07am EDT Tuesday very early morning... more about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja

Where is the balance point? -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Oct.12th - Sun., Oct.18th, 2015

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Saving Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

On the whole, last week was pretty balanced: I definitely was aware of the Mercury station... and then, towards the end of the week, I got the sense for the first time that Eclipse season is ending, and we are moving into less intense territory :-)

This week's headline items: the New Moon in Libra becomes exact on Monday evening; the Mercury station ends on Tuesday; and therewill be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for 21.5 hours), Wednesday evening (for 35.5 hours), and Sunday early morning (for a little over 10 hours).

Monday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day. It will journey here until Tuesday late afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon wants to maintain equal relationships: we thus tend to spend more time on diplomacy -- making compromises, negotiating, practicing graciousness, balancing, etc.

We can better set aside our emotions, to achieve the peace we desire; the shadow side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides -- and may also fear loss of approval -- so we can't decide. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this... and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm.

Monday at 8:06pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 19 degrees of Libra. This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle -- and, it officially ends Eclipse season.

With the New Moon in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, we seek win-win situations, fair exchanges with others and harmonious connections within our relationships. This is a great time to begin a new project that calls for diplomatic, negotiation, and relationship skills.

Some questions for this new Moon cycle: Where is the balance point? What if harmony and peace were yours to create? It's also worth noting, that the more we are able to approve of ourselves, the easier it gets to create relationships that honor both parties equally.

The Libra energy encourages us to see both sides of a situation and find a middle path (or a win-win). In order to reconcile opposite energies, we need to engage heart and mind, and seek the highest and best outcome for everyone involved -- in other words, we need to see everyone as equally deserving. As best as we can, we need to seek these mutually beneficial relationships without compromising our essentials selves, values and goals.

The New Moon opposes Uranus in Ariesasking us to shift our perception and break free from relationships that stifle our unique spark, or leave us feeling "less than" or "more than". Any relationship that no longer allows us to express our true selves needs to be reexamined -- and either changed or ended.

Mercury aligns with the North Node in Libra, asking us to speak from our heart and create realistic, practical win/win collaborations or negotiations. We are also invited to improve our understanding of others, focusing on acceptance and integration -- this is an internal process too: The more we can integrate opposites within, the less we will project them onto the outside world, reducing conflict and increasing peace.

If we can come to see everyone and everything in the world as a reflection of what already exists inside of us, we no longer need to fight wars, small or large. By the same token, we can see the beauty that shines in each of us, and embrace it as our own.

Venus (ruler of Libra) is in a mutual reception to Mercury (ruler of Virgo) -- meaning they support each others agendas. Venus connects us to our heart chakra; Mercury to our every-day mind. With Venus journeying through Virgo and Mercury in Libra at the time of this New Moon, we have an opportunity to bring more clarity to our daily routines; in particular, we get to see how we can bring more balance to our work- and health-routines.

Venus is also making a square to Saturn in Sagittarius and an opposition to Neptune in Pisces. This creates a "T-square", with Saturn as the focus point; this invites us to reassess our values and beliefs around relationships -- we are being asked to slow down and create healthy boundaries with others, communicating what works for us and what doesn't. We'll need, in every new moment, to asses what is appropriate for us.

Any attempt to rush will result in inappropriate boundaries, rigidity, anxiety or overwhelm. For more on this subject, check out my video, "Saturn in Sagittarius until 2017"

Neptune in Pisces opposes Venus,Mars and Jupiter in Virgo at the time of the New Moon. This adds a touch of compassion and empathy, even a sense of oneness that can soften our judgments. It also inspires creativity and the feeling of being guided by intuition. Take care to avoid escapism of any kind (this includes "magical thinking").

Pluto ended its station last week; this provides an opportunity to take a giant step forward in our lives, by letting go of control and knocking down our "walls". The key is to open our hearts -- the moment we get scared, “old” traumas will force that opening.

The temptation here is to obsess over your long-term goals, out of a fear that there won't be enough recognition, progress, results, achievements, ability to provide, etc... As best as you can, surrender to the process, allow the experience to be what it is. You're safe and you're accomplishing things, making progress always -- even if it's not visible yet.

Self-care is a very important component in this: Without it, we can't accomplish much -- we're always behind the eight-ball. It's like they tell you on an airplane: Put your own oxygen mask on before helping others ;-)

If this New Moon had a core message, it would be: Keep improving your relationship to your health, yourself, others, the planet. Where does love need to go? Where have things gone out of balance? Where are you standing in service? If you'd like to learn more about all this, check out my New Moon video.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 17-21 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 5:38pm Tuesday afternoon until 8:06pm EDT Wednesday evening.

Part of the reason for this, is that on Monday at 8:06pm EDT, we enter a 21.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), this lasts until 5:38pm EDT (Tuesday afternoon)Use this intuitive time to be still. Connect to your body's wisdom -- find your inner balance. As best as you can, try to find new perspectives in regards to how you relate to yourself and others. As always during VoC, take it easy -- go with the flow.

Tuesday: the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Monday for details).

Tuesday early morning, an opportune Mercury/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 5:54am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Oct.3rd on; it will be strong until this Thursday.Due to Mercury’s retrograde phase, this is actually the third time we have experienced this aspect within the last seven weeks. This is another opportunity to take responsibility for our thinking structures and be really honest with ourselves.

How can we get the most from this opportunity? It’s simple: Look for the larger truth. If we can go beyond what we have always known, we could get a helpful dose of reality — and an ability to focus on long-term issues. Since Mercury is no longer retrograde, we are able to address these issues with others now: What are we really trying to accomplish? What is reality showing us?

Remember, though: Opportunities are “openings”; they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Also on Tuesday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky today, ending its station: Communication and transportation is now back to “normal”, as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc. New ideas and information received during the Mercury retrograde phase can now be reviewed -- What could you do with that now?

Tuesday at 5:38pm EDT, the Moon moves intopassionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Friday early morning. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time. As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to.

Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free. Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others. This aspect also beginsthebuild-up toward the New Moon/Solar Eclipse, exact very soon after the Moon enters Scorpio…

Wednesday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Tuesday late afternoon for details).

Wednesday evening at 8:58pm EDT, we enter a 35.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC), this lasts until 5:18am EDT (Friday morning)Use this intuitive time to go deeper in your exploration of Self. Get clear on where you "stand in service". As always during VoC, take it easy and avoid starting anything brand-new; in fact, since this is a very long VoC, plan your evening and tomorrow (Thursday) ahead of time if you can. If that's not possible, simply go with the flow -- 'cos the flow knows where to go ;-)

Thursday: the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC all day! (see Tuesday late afternoon and Wednesday evening for details).

Thursday late evening, a harmonious Mars/Pluto aspectbecomes exact at 11:36pm EDT. We started to feel this connection from last Saturday on; it will be strong until Tuesday of next week. This aspect brings a powerful ability to accomplish and go after our goals. We are able to see more clearly where we are heading and what we want to be committed to.

Our vitality and energy levels are at a high point. We are most likely feeling ambitious and dynamic right now. Our recuperative powers are excellent and our health is robust. We might feel inspired to build up our physical strength during this astrological influence, and this is a good idea; we can develop greater endurance and vitality now, which will rejuvenate our body.

This is definitely a strong energy for working steadily -- and in a practical, down-to-earth way -- on a project. It is also quite a sexy combination. As best as you can, use this powerful mixture of energies and go after the things you have been wanting for a while now -- and as Pluto is involved, use this energy to fulfill on your Soul's purpose.

Anything that we feel deeply passionate about and that feels in complete alignment with our deepest core, is very likely part of our Soul's journey. What moves you? What turns you on -- not just on a physical level but also on an emotional and spiritual level?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars being the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Friday at 5:18am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Sunday afternoon. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- meaning the big picture, within the details (since Jupiter is in Virgo). Spontaneity is the key: we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.

Friday late evening, a Venus/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 10:53pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Wednesday of next week. We are ready to dissolve anything that we valued in the past that no longer serves either ourselves or humanity.

Our relationships might feel confusing, disappointing -- or they also might be dissolving. Whichever one it is, this is helping us get more connected with our inner knowingness, or our inner sensing of what feels "right".

This might not be the best time to start a new relationship, as we have the tendency to idealize others, which can bring disappointments down the line. As best as you can, find your inner balance with what's real and what's not… and allow others to be human ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 4-11 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius or Gemini ? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Saturday: the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Friday early morning for details).

Saturday evening, a Mars/Jupiter alignment in 14 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 6:40pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Saturday of next week (Oct.24th). Mars's energy combines with Jupiter's expansiveness to increase our enthusiasm, liveliness, and optimism.

We enjoy travel, flying, the outdoors, competitive work, vigorous exercise and other Jupiter-ruled pursuits a lot more right now -- especially when they also fit our health regimes. We are more likely to bring a self-confident "can-do" attitude -- and even a certain relish -- to life's daily routines and to our work (where we exhibit a strong will to excel). We don't rest on our laurels; we keep going on to even bigger and better things.

Particularly when it comes to routines around health and day-to-day matters, this could prove a very productive and busy time; indeed, given our capacity for skillfully handling a wide variety of tasks at the same time, we risk overextending. Don't worry: Just pace yourself and go after your goals in the most practical and precise manner you can muster... Tomorrow is another day ;-)

The last Mars/Jupiter conjunction took place on May 1st, 2011. What did you begin then? How could that now be improved upon? What if that could now go to the next level? How might that come about?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius)

On Sunday at 4:48am EDT,  we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that lasts a little over 10 hours, until 2:52pm EDTTake it easy during this intuitive time; try seeing it as an opportunity to expand relations with others. As always during VoC, do not start anything brand-new -- and as best as you can, go with the flow.

Sunday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:11pm EDT. This could contribute either to some mental confusion and spaciness, or the need to communicate with others from our imagination (but possibly not knowing how to achieve that). We started to feel this aspect from Saturday morning on; it will be strong until Monday evening.

This aspect operates more on an internal level: We feel uneasy about something, sort of "awkward" -- and we need to make a choice. Sometimes, imagination and mind can run way ahead of what is actually feasible (and sensible). At these times, the grand vision is best served by focusing on the next concrete step, accepting our own idiosyncrasies as we go.

Honesty is crucial here, especially self-honesty; inner awareness is in turn crucial to deep honesty and authenticity. What's true for you? What might be possible for humanity? Where do those overlap?

Note that I say "overlap": Don't look for an exact fit, this is more like two puzzle pieces that came from different jigsaw puzzles. You might keep looking at the imperfect fit and feel a nagging sense that something doesn't make sense… and it doesn't -- it can't. The pieces are not from the same game. Just do your best to "hang out" with the discomfort, rather than repeatedly trying to figure it out and fix it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-8 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)

Sunday at 2:52pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Tuesday evening.

A head's up for next Monday: the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Sunday afternoon for details).….more about all the other details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Have a fantastic week!
Many blessings,
Sonja
