Connection with the Physical Plane-- Astrology Forecast for Mon., April 25th - Sun., May 1st, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

The beginning of last week felt smooth and beautiful. As the week went on, I could feel the Mercury Station (communication issues) and a deep desire to break free from restrictions and "old" ways of being and thinking (I could sense that the Venus/Uranus conjunction in Aries had a lot to do with that :-)

This week's headline items: the Mercury Station intensifies on Monday -- and Mercury comes to halt starting its 3.5 week retrograde phase on Thursday afternoon; Venus changes signs (from Aries to Taurus) on Friday evening; the last Quarter Moon phase in Aquarius becomes exact on Friday late evening.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late morning (for 8 hours), Friday very early morning (for a little over 1.5 hours) and Saturday late evening (for almost 12 hours).

Monday (April 25th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day. It will journey there until Tuesday evening. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.

Also on Monday, the Mercury Station intensifies today, as Mercury is preparing to come to halt on Thursday (starting its 3.5-week retrograde phase). During the station, we feel Mercury's energies more strongly.

Pay attention to anything "in your face" in any of the following areas: communications, short travels, transportation of any kind, communication devices. You will get a chance to make adjustments during the retrograde -- or the shadow phase that follows.

For the next 10 days, we might experience delays or misunderstandings; things could feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time when getting ready to go somewhere -- and that goes for the journey itself, too -- especially if you intend to drive or use public transportation. Going with the flow is definitely recommended at this time.

Be extra-patient if you intend to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, especially if they are transportation or communication devices like anything connected with planes, trains, cars, phones, computers, iPads, etc. Best of all (if possible): wait until after June 7th, when the shadow phase is over.

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 21-24 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius.

Tuesday (April 26th): the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 7:54pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 11:51am EDT, we enter an 8-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 7:54pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to enjoy an adventure or exciting activities. We have plenty of energy... So enjoy -- and go for it! As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Tuesday ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday at 7:54pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Thursday night/Friday very early morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.

We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Wednesday (April 27th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday evening, a somewhat challenging Sun/Mars aspect becomes exact at 9:45pm EDT. We started to feel this from Tuesday evening on; itwill be strong until Friday morning. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward; we need to make a choice. We need to develop inner awareness, so we can make adjustments.

This might concern compromising with others. Our enthusiasm might make us impatient or hasty with others. As best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative, adjusting as needed.

When life slows down, or becomes uncomfortable, simplify and be patient. We are changing and growing in ways that we can't comprehend right now. Stay as open and observant as you can.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-9 degrees of Taurus or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars rules Aries)

Thursday (April 28th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

As mentioned in Monday’s forecast,Mercury comes to a halt at 23 degrees of Taurus onThursday at 1:20pm EDTand starts its 3.5-week retrograde phase.

This slows things down tremendously today and tomorrow (Friday). Give yourself extra time to go to work this morning or to get things done. If you are traveling today, just simply go with the flow… you'll get there... eventually ;-) This retrograde phase will last until May 22nd.

That said, Mercury going retrograde is not a signal to just stop one's life -- it's better to think of it as a chance to resolve issues around finances, self-worth and our natural gifts and talents — especially if those issues emerged some time within the last three weeks.

Use this time to look at your thought processes and get to the heart of what you really value. Observe your inner dialog around money, the physical body, and how you relate to life's pleasures. This is also a good time to readdress anything connected to finances and physical possessions.

In like manner, the next 3.5 weeks provide an opportunity to explore how much we value ourselves -- our self-worth.  We do best when we honor and communicate our value from the inside out, and then connect our gifts, talents and experience to our value in the world. This retrograde is, in other words, an opportunity to tap more into our connection with the physical plane.

As always with Mercury retrograde, always read the small print, reread contracts before signing and seek second opinions. We need to bring heightened awareness during these periods, double-checking to catch details that we might have overlooked... and checking in with our intuition... and staying open to the possibility of future renegotiations or adjustments!

In general, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reevaluating and reorganizing. This is especially true for our thought patterns and decisions (particularly those made in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the retrograde) -- but it's true of our lives in general: We can reach a deeper understanding of what works and what doesn't. Also favored: Reconnecting with old friends, family members and clients.

Mercury also represents our day-to-day mind; as such, this too is experienced more internally during retrogrades. When it comes to communication, make sure that what you say, write and hear is the same as the intended meaning -- and use the spell-checker ;-)

Another thing to take into consideration: How does this particular Mercury retrograde affect your personal birth chart? Do you have any personal planets that will align with Mercury during its retrograde journey? The houses of your chart each represent different areas of your life -- which are affected?

You can expect more impact from this retrograde if any of the following apply to you: Gemini or Virgo Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); Ascendant, Career Point, or personal planets in 12-25 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius.

If you aren't sure, and would like to know, feel free to reach out for a Mini Reading. I'd be very happy to support you in gaining a deeper understanding of this retrograde and its impact on you personally :-)

Friday (April 29th) at 3:07am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 1.5 hours, until 4:47am EDT. If you are awake during this time, there may be a tension between your need to “get it right” by going one step at a time, versus your desire to zoom ahead. Others are also wrestling with this tension -- so we may feel impatient with them.

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions to these incompatible energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Friday at 4:47am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Sunday late morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Friday at 8:36pm EDT, Venus changes signs from fast-paced, enthusiastic, active Aries into steady, sensualTaurus, where she will journey until May 24th. For the next 3.5 weeks, we love receiving physical pleasures and comforts. Our relationships are centered around delicious foods, wine and sensuality.

"Simple and natural" is key. Our financial issues and dealings are being carefully and lovingly considered, we are not easily persuaded to take risks, we'd rather spend our money on a massage or a good meal.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign inTaurus or Libra? If so, you will feel even more attracted to physical pleasures and comfort for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want loyalty and consistency. Connecting to nature or anything simple and organic is going to feels especially comforting.

Friday late evening, the last Quarter Moon in 10 degrees of Aquarius is exact at 11:29pm EDT: the Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in steady, down-to-earth Taurus. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed.

With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us take a look at what was started around the time of the last New Moon -- in this case, around April 7th. We now have about a week to wrap those projects up. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since April 7th? What did it mean for you?

As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up between yourself and others -- and for any internal conflicts.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-12 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Saturday (April 30th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Friday morning for details).

Saturday at 10:56pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 12 hours, until 10:33am EDT (Sunday late morning). We may experience a pull toward two poles: on the one hand, a need to break the rules and make a move towards our future visions; on the other hand, a desire to be practical and connected to what actually works.

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions, when it comes to this polarity. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday (May 1st): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius and VoC until 10:33am EDT (see Friday morning for details).

Sunday morning, an opportune Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will be strong until Tuesday of next week. This aspect is an opportunity both to dissolve what no longer serves us, and to connect to our intuition. We definitely feel inspired.

Charitable acts lift our spirits -- our capacity for compassion (both toward ourselves and others) is quite strong, especially if we are able to acknowledge it. Dreams and reality find a way to work together now -- any spiritual or creative endeavors that are started during this time will most likely do very well. Remember: this is an "opportunity" -- it isn't just handed to us, we have to make it happen.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-14 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Sunday at 10:33am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Tuesday afternoon. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

A head's up for next Monday (May 2nd): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Sunday late morning for details). Monday starts like a dream. It might take a little longer to wake up this morning. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

This week's headline items:Pluto comes to a complete halt in Capricorn on Monday early morning; the Sun changes signs from Aries to Taurus on Tuesday late morning; the Full Moon in Scorpio will become exact Thursday night/Friday very early morning -- and Mercury starts to slow down (station) around then as well.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 23 hours), Thursday very early morning (for 18 hours), and Saturday late afternoon (for 15 hours).

Monday (April 18th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. This turns our focus toward practical activities -- reorganizing and rethinking our plans, perhaps. Solving problems, making order out of confusion, helping others: all of these bring emotional satisfaction.

Health matters might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to look at our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.), to see if they are in alignment with our long-term goals.

Monday at 3:26am EDT,Pluto comes to a halt in 17 degrees of Capricorn; starting its 5-month retrograde phase (April 18th - Sept. 26th). Pluto's energy will continue to move more slowly until May 10th.

During the Pluto retrograde phase it is most powerful to surrender internally to any process we experience around empowerment or disempowerment. As best as you can, take it all in, and see where you would like to make adjustments. You will get a chance to do just that for the next 5 months.

Tap into a place of authenticity from within -- embrace all of you: the good, the bad, and the ugly. You can ask yourself: what habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? How can I love all of me -- the light and the dark? What would it feel like, if I was fully aligned with my Soul-purpose?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-18 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn? If so, this retrograde phase will affect you more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Monday at 8:29am EDT, we enter at 23-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 7:24am EDT (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time to communicate what’s of value to you -- and be of service to others. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday Day and evening ahead of time ;-)

Monday in the late morning, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 10:37am EDT.We started feeling this aspect build from Saturday on; it will be strong until Wednesday night. This signals a time when we don't take connections with others lightly; we are more attracted to long-term, committed partnerships than more casual relationships.

We feel a strong sense of responsibility to the ones we love -- we see ourselves as being responsible and trustworthy. We have increased sensitivity to the needs of others. Mutual respect and loyalty is very important to us at this time.

Support from older people or authority figures may come by way of solid advice or more tangible help. We are ready to connect to others in a mature fashion -- we are more likely to treat each other with respect and stand in our integrity. How can you connect to yourself and others through your "inner adult"?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-19 degrees of Aries, Sagittarius or Leo? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Tuesday (April 19th) at 7:24am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Thursday evening. The energy of the Libra Moon wants to maintain equal relationships: we thus tend to spend more time on diplomacy -- making compromises, negotiating, practicing graciousness, balancing, etc.

We can better set aside our emotions, to achieve the peace we desire; the shadow side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides -- and may also fear loss of approval -- so we can't decide. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this... and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm.

Tuesday late morning, at 11:29am EDT, the Sun changes signs from adventurous, speedy Aries to peaceful, steady Taurus, where it will journey until May 20th. For the next four weeks our attention is on physical pleasures and we are more aware of our need for comfort and consistency. The Sun in Taurus reminds us to slow down and smell the roses.

We are able to be very consistent and methodical, which helps us bring groundedness and reality to our new goals. We focus on what is most important to us. What do you value most? How do you feel about yourself and what you bring to the table?

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Taurus Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Taurus, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo your vitality will most likely slow down and you might indulge in physical or material pleasures.

Tuesday late afternoon, a challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 4:51pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Friday evening. The Universe is asking us to stretch and grow. Venus represents our relationships and that which we most value; these areas may undergo major transformations.

This aspect challenges us to find meaning in our life through partnerships. We must now uncover the deeper layer of our life. With Pluto in the mix, social interactions could be intense.

You may see changes in financial status or relationships. In the latter, things erupt that have been brewing beneath the surface for some time; this may prove disruptive: As best you can, empower rather than disempower. We may become obsessed with our commitments and our partner during this time.

We may also experience Pluto through our partner, experiencing manipulation and controlling behaviors; we must be especially wary of resisting change and holding onto "old" attachments. It's time to let go of destructive attachments and connections. How can we grow and evolve in our relationships? Is there a relationship that we need to grow and evolve out of?

This aspect could also express itself through sexual tension; there is a strong desire for love in its physical expression. However, keep your standards high, so you can come upon a love that fulfills all your needs -- definitely don't start a relationship with "just anyone", in order to avoid being alone.

Remember to be true to your own values; wait for someone with whom you can have a relationship based on trust, love and a genuine desire for intimacy -- and work on being worth finding, in the meantime :-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Aries, Capricorn, Libra or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Wednesday (April 20th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday around noon we have an opportunity to connect with others and explore our beliefs around career and long-term goals.

From mid afternoonuntil the early evening, we may need to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand we need to collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, we feel a deep desire to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.

Wednesday evening: We may need to find a balance between what we want for ourselves and what we need from others. We want to collaborate, but we are also feeling quite impatient and we value our independence. As best as you can, take a deep breath now and then, and drop in to your heart center ;-)

Thursday (April 21st): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 8:17pm EDT (see Thursday morning for details).

Thursday at 2:13am EDT, we enter a 18-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 8:17pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for equal and harmonious connection, with your drive toward personal visions and ideas. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Thursday ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 8:17pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday morning. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time.

As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free.

Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the Full Moon (exact on Thursday night/Friday very early morning).

Thursday is also your last chance to join me for my MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM: tomorrow, Friday, April 22nd at 7pm EDT (90-minute webinar) If you're interested in aligning yourself with upcoming energies, this is for you. Friday (April 22nd): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothingScorpio all day (see Thursday evening for details).

As I mentioned yesterday, the entrance of the Moon into Scorpio started the energetic build up towards the Full Moon; this will be exact Thursday night/Friday very early morning at 1:24am EDT, in 2.5 degrees of Scorpio. For the next two weeks, we are looking for balance, since we are more aware than everthat something needs to be brought into alignment.

The balance in question is between our physical attachments/connections -- symbolized by Taurus -- and our emotional attachments/connections (Scorpio). It's important to realize that Scorpio's deep, authentic connections to ourselves and others are essential to our existence -- and play a crucial role in defining and understanding what we value most (Taurus).

The time of any Full Moon is always more extroverted and emotional; this particular one invites us to let go of fears and break through to the next level of our evolution. It also invites us to illuminate what has been hidden in the shadows… We are ready to delete some very old programming.

Here's this Full Moon's central question: What do we really want?

Taurus seeks comfort and material stability. It's about having a healthy relationship with ourselves, the planet, and the physical plane in general. It's also concerned with creating healthy self-esteem. Scorpio, on the other hand, craves transformation — it wants to put us in touch with our deepest desires... and worst fears.

It’s essential to bring conscious awareness to the walls we built to feel protected and “empowered”. Addressing past trauma and feelings of disempowerment is the only way to melt our “frozen” hearts and allow for the return of trust toward others (and life in general). By acknowledging our fears and breaking down those walls, we can transform into truly powerful beings of love and inner strength.

Scorpio wants to go beyond the surface, to our deeper motivations. What propels our sense of attraction or repulsion toward something? What turns us on about life? What scares us to death?

Please note that there are many very important aspects connected with this Full Moon. When I included them in my blog, it got a little overwhelming, so I go into them in depth in my Full Moon video instead; I strongly recommend you watch it for a full overview. (video will be posted by Tuesday evening)

To sum up: This Full Moon invites us to stay in touch with our feelings and deepen our relationship with our unconscious mind and hidden aspects. Let yourself open to "the love that you are” -- the “real you” that existed before all the trauma and hurt, that has carried on silently in the background all this while. Be courageous and kind to yourself!

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Taurus,Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Friday's other important event is the Mercury station. From Friday very early morning, right through until May 5th, Mercury slows down tremendously, as it prepares to come to a halt before turning retrograde on April 28th. During the station, we feel Mercury's energies more strongly.

Pay attention to anything "in your face" in any of the following areas: communications, short travels, transportation of any kind, communication devices. You will get a chance to make adjustments during the retrograde -- or the shadow phase that follows.

For the next 14 days, we might experience delays or misunderstandings; things could feel "off" or stagnant.

Last but not least, on Friday afternoon, a Venus/Uranus alignment in 21 degrees of Aries becomes exact at 5pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Wednesday morning on; it will be strong until Sunday. This alignment gives us the opportunity to experiment with a new way of relating to others. Freedom plays a big part in our interactions with others.

It's a favorable time for social meetings and events. Do something different, something unusual, with one-on-one relationships -- break the routine. You might experience some unexpected interactions during this time. As best as you can, stay open and flexible: Fresh air is blowing through your relationships.

We are also ready to experiment with regards to financial undertakings. Anything involving electronics, technology, the internet, metaphysics, the arts, and group activities in general would be a good energetic match. This is not the best time to make long-term financial investments, unless you had an intuitive vision about something ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Saturday (April 23rd): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Thursday evening for details).

Saturday at 5:46pm EDT, we enter a 15-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 8:46am EDT (Sunday morning). Use this intuitive time to find a balance between your need for deep emotional connections, versus those thoughts you have about material safety and physical "wants” (if nothing else, do your best to allow for both).

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday (April 24th) at 8:46am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Tuesday evening.

The second half of the Sunday requires us to slow down a little and make some adjustments: Our need for mental stimulation and adventure and our awareness of material or physical wants may battle each other a little. As best as you can, stay flexible, and make room for both mental exploration and physical pleasures.

A head's up for next Monday (April 25th): the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Sunday morning for details). The Mercury Station intensifies today, as Mercury is preparing to come to halt next week Thursday (starting its 3.5-week retrograde phase). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Take Relevant Actions -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., April 11th - Sun., April 17th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week definitely had some intensity to it -- I could feel that Mars and Pluto Station -- impatience, feeling annoyed and finding fault with other people... Noticing my own relationship to anger was part of the discovery.

Something that fed into the frustration I felt toward others was a lack of movement in my own life -- a frustration around having to deal with the same issues over and over again, without resolving them. Thank goodness for all the exercising, coaching and healing in my life -- it helps discharge a lot of energies in a healthy way (or helps transform them through compassionate awareness). I highly recommend it ;-)

This week's headline items: the Mars and Pluto stations are very strong this week; we can start to take actions on our New Moon intentions from Monday morning on; the first Quarter Moon in Cancer becomes exact on Wednesday, late in the evening; Mercury enters its shadow phase on Thursday afternoon; Mars comes to a complete halt on Sunday morning (starting it's 2.5-month retrograde phase).

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday mid afternoon (for a little over 13 hours), Wednesday late evening (for almost 10 hours), and Saturday early afternoon (for 5.5 hours).

Monday (April 11th): the Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini all day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.

If you set intentions last Thursday (right after the New Moon became exact), or Friday (after the Moon VoC was over), Monday morning (before 2:57pm EDT) will be a great time to take relevant actions

If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Monday at 2:57pm EDT we enter a 13-hour Moon void of course (VoC).that lasts until 4:07am EDT (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to people that might support your projects and sentiments and bring a new perspective to what you do.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Monday afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Lastly, I want to mention again that Mars and Pluto's "stations" have intensified and can be felt all week (as they are both preparing to come to a halt and go retrograde). When a planet stations, it moves through the sky much more slowly than normal; its energy becomes more "exalted" and is therefore "in our face". Let's look at each stationing planet in turn:

Mars represents our assertiveness, independence and “masculine” energy. It is also associated with new initiatives, going after one's goals, and with physical actions.

With Mars' energy exalted, we are more aware of these things -- but are not necessarily able to do anything about any of it. This may bring up impatience, frustration or even outright anger. What's more, since Mars is in Sagittarius right now, we may express this anger more openly, even exaggeratedly... Should this arise, try bringing humor to it -- this could prove an inspired way to deal with it all.

Pluto is associated with our soul purpose. It relates to the process of empowerment -- our ability to feel empowered from within, through the experience of wholeness -- and to our deepest passions.

To get to a place of truthfulness on the soul level, Pluto will remove what no longer serves us, replacing it with something new -- something fully aligned with our deepest passions and soul purpose.

To the extent we resist these deep changes, we'll suffer, but if we can surrender and allow for that process to take place, we'll grow in authenticity, and feel a newness and empowerment from within. Look for what might no longer be in alignment with your soul's purpose (your deep authentic Self).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in the following degrees and signs: 5-9 degrees of  Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? Or perhaps in 15-19 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by these stations. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries, and Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).

Tuesday (April 12th) at 4:07am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Thursday late morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.

Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies. This Moon placement starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Wednesday late evening).

Tuesday morning, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 5:40am EDT. We started to feel this connection from last Sunday evening on; it will be strong until this Wednesday evening. This is an opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process. Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time.

Listen to your body, listen to your heart and as best as you can, hear those messages. Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do better at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and our ability to get things done. Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else's words… allow the Universe to speak to you.

Open your mind to a higher vibration, allow for any and all conditioning to dissolve that is holding you back. Remember: opportunities are openings; they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 9-13 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)

Tuesday afternoon, a harmonious Venus/Mars aspect becomes exact at 3:16pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday night on; it will be strong until this Thursday evening. We tend to feel passionate, highly creative and energized at this time, with lots of vitality and warmth to share.

We are able to actively bring people together for mutual pleasure and benefit. That’s not surprising, considering we radiate charm, vitality, and enthusiasm -- we find it easy during this time to get along with both sexes. There is also a certain amount of flow when it comes to creativity and athletic abilities: If you knew you could accomplish something now with ease, what would you pick?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 5-12 degrees of Aries, Sagittarius or Leo? If so, you may feel more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars rules Aries)

Wednesday (April 13th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Tuesday morning for more details).

Wednesday at 11:59pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 24 degrees of Cancer becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Cancer on Tuesday morning. The Moon in protective, introverted Cancer makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in bold, fast-paced Aries.

We feel compelled to take action. The New Moon took place less than a week ago, Thursday (April 7th); any projects or initiatives begun around then are probably off the ground by now -- and facing their first obstacles. This aspect provides a time to stretch and grow, thereby creating some forward momentum.

We may feel anxious or unusually busy: As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible, and find creative solutions for your day-to-day dealings with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 22-26 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn or Libra? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Right when the first Quarter Moon becomes exact (11:59pm EDT) we also enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts almost 10 hours, until 9:53am EDT (Thursday late morning). There may be a tension between our need to zoom ahead, versus a desire to nurture, be nurtured and feel safe in the world.

Others are also wrestling with this tension, so we may feel impatient with them; use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative ways to manage these incompatible energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Thursday morning ahead of time ;-)

Thursday (April 14th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer and VoC until 9:53am EDT (see Tuesday morning and Wednesday late evening for more details). At that time, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Saturday evening.

We have a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible, they will be deeply appreciated :-) Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you squeak just thinking about it?

Thursday late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 11:27am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Saturday night. We are more optimistic and realistic, which is good, since we see the bigger picture, communicate more positively and readily inspire others.

We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn? If so, you will feel most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Also on Thursday, at 1:55pm EDT, Mercury enters a 2-week shadow phase, as it reaches 14 degrees of Taurus. This precedes the retrograde phase, which will begin on April 28th. If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items -- especially connected to transportation (cars, airline tickets, etc.) or communication devices (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) -- be aware of the shadow periods as well as the retrograde phases.

If possible, get these things done before Mercury enters it's shadow or wait until after the shadow phases are over (in this case: June 7th). Of course, if there is something that must get done during these phases, don't put your whole life on hold, just because Mercury is retrograde or in it's shadow. Sometimes things line up exactly at the “right” time. As best as you can, trust your intuition ;-)

Friday (April 15th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Thursday late morning for details).

Friday late evening, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 10:28pm EDT. This will contribute either to a lack of mental and physical energy, or a need to focus on our life perspectives. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday night on; it will be strong until Saturday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level: We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice.

The sheer scope of our goals in life can require more effort than is immediately obvious. Hard work can take its toll on our health. If we partition our big ideas into achievable segments -- and go one clear action step at a time -- we can move forward while maintaining inner peace and outer health. Use your time wisely! Develop the inner awareness needed, so you can see what needs adjusting.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-17 degrees of of Taurus or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Saturday (April 16th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 7:23pm EDT (see Thursday late morning for details).

Saturday at 1:48pm EDT, we enter a 5.5-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 7:23pm EDT. Think about all the creative, fun things you could do this afternoon…pick one and let your heart jump high into the sky! We are also more inclined to be social. If you want to make plans with others, make them before the Moon VoC begins or simply go with the flow ;-)

Saturday at 7:23pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Tuesday morning.

Saturday late evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 9:26pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until Sunday eveningThis aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

This aspect is a fork in the road: We could take a path that leads toward following our personal goals and inspiring others by being direct and enthusiastic. We could also take the path that will lead to us increasing our understanding of health and well-being. Either way, we can develop a new perspective on how to approach these things in our daily routines. Awareness is key with this aspect: What is needed? How can we serve the broader view?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-15 degrees of Aries or Virgo? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Last but not least, Saturday is also the day before Mars comes to a complete halt: for the next three days (until Monday evening) we will feel the "non-movement" of this energy very strongly. Frustrations and built-up anger may be a part of that, as may incredible impatience, self-centeredness and struggling to move forward.

As best as you can, allow yourself to simply feel all of it, without trying to do anything about it in the moment. Take deep breaths and know that none of what you are experiencing is truly personal, even if it might feel that way. Physical exercise might be helpful, as long as you don't push yourself too hard -- and remember: this is temporary! ;-)

Sunday (April 17th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Saturday evening for details).

Sunday morning, a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 5:23am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday on; it will be strong until Wednesday night. Our words and our "speaking" are very grounded and realistic. We can feel really empowered by what we say (and how we say it) during this time. Our conviction and passion helps us to connect and empower others.

We are strongly connected to our inner truth and can analyze and understand our motivations toward long-term goals. We investigate our own beliefs about the meaning of life in a very realistic way and look to see what needs to be done next.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, Pluto rules Scorpio).

Sunday at 8:14am EDT, Mars comes to a halt in almost 9 degrees of Sagittarius, to start its 2.5 months retrograde phase. We’re called to reassess our belief systems — especially those beliefs we have about ourselves, about the nature of "doing" and "pursuing" (the masculine energies within us). This is also a call to look at what we’ve been doing since mid February -- we may need to redo or realign anything that’s out of whack with our inner sense of truth.

We are definitely being invited to go within and tap into our inner assertiveness and strengths — getting ready for the next phase of our lives. This is prep time: Rather than start anything brand-new, go over what you already have cooking, or investigate future projects. Ask yourself: What would readiness look like? If there was something coming at the end of June/early July, that I needed to be ready for, what might that be?

Is your Sun sign or Ascendant in Aries? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-11 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, Pisces or 21-29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or AquariusIf so, you will be more affected by this retrograde phase.

Last but not least, Sunday is also the day before Pluto comes to a complete halt. Keep in mind that that the next three days (until Tuesday evening) is when we will feel the "non-movement" of this energy the strongest. Feelings we've suppressed might come to the surface now. Things pop up that feel either disempowering to us -- or we abuse our own power and thereby disempower others.

As best as you can, pay attention to fear-based attachments. Allow yourself to tap into parts of yourself that you have denied, rejected, discarded and shunned. Any form of therapy or coaching might be helpful in supporting you with this, as long as you don't push yourself to deal with traumatic events from the past that you are not ready for.

A head's up for next Monday (April 18th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Saturday evening for details). At 3:26am EDT,Pluto comes to a halt in 17 degrees of Capricorn. At 8:29am EDT, we enter at 23-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts  until 7:24am EDT (Tuesday morning). In the late morning, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 10:37am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Saturday on; it will be strong until Wednesday night. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
