Guided at Every Turn -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., May 30th - Sun., June 5th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was challenging, to say the least -- this T-square in the mutable signs (on top of the Mars retrograde) has been pulling me in like a whirlpool. Lots of anger issues have been coming up, together with the shame that is sometimes connected to feeling it, expressing it and experiencing it from others.

Taking responsibility for my inner dialogue and outer communications has come up several times as well. I took a hard look at my belief systems and expectations around needing to feel cared about and valued by others. A lack of self-care and self-value seems to be at the center of what's showing up.

I could not have processed through all of it without the help of those who support my spiritual alignment and personal growth on a weekly basis. Thank you! I feel blessed to have this support in my life.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to listen to the recording of my recent Chiron-lecture: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

This week's headline items: Mercury has ended its station but still moves through its shadow phase all this week. Neptune starts to slow down (station) on Tuesday -- it's getting ready for its retrograde phase. The Balsamic Moon phase begins Wednesday evening and the New Moon (in Gemini) becomes exact on Saturday in the late evening.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for 2 hours), Wednesday late morning (for 11 hours), Friday evening (for 4 hours), and Sunday early afternoon (for 11 hours).

Monday (May 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 9:09pm EDT. The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.

Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others -- surround yourself with loving energy. It's a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them ;-)

Monday: Mercury is back to its regular speed, so things now get back to "normal", with regards to communication and transportation (and any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.).

As you may recall, I mentioned Mercury shadow phases in this update a couple of weeks ago. If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it's best to also avoid the shadow periods. This is especially true if the items you are thinking about getting are connected to transportation (cars, flight tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, i-pad, etc.) This time around, the shadow phase will end on June 7th

Monday at 7:10pm EDT, we enter a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 9:09pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to inspire others about your existing projects and passions. If at all possible though, refrain from actually starting anything brand-new — in fact, plan Monday evening ahead of time, or stick to routine things. If you can't… simply go with the flow.

Monday at 9:09pm EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. The energy of the Aries Moon bears on starting something new. Our gut impulses are strong; we feel energetic, spontaneous, enthusiastic and brave -- and perhaps impatient and impulsive. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.

With Mars being retrograde right now, our Aries Moon may need to hold back a little and feel into things first before acting on them. Rather than start something brand-new, look to see what needs to be re-addressed right now.

Monday late evening, a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 11:09pm EDT. Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we started to feel this aspect from May 7th on; it will be strong until June 3rd. Our words and our "speaking" are very grounded and realistic. We can feel really empowered by what we say (and how we say it) during this time. Our conviction and passion helps us to connect and empower others.

We are strongly connected to our inner truth and can analyze and understand our motivations toward long-term goals. We investigate our own beliefs about the meaning of life in a very realistic way and look to see what needs to be done next.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, Pluto rules Scorpio)

Tuesday (May 31st): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Monday evening for details)

Tuesday late morning/early afternoon: We have an opportunity to connect to others from the heart and have some lively conversations. In the evening, we feel brave, and ready to commit to a new adventure. That said, we will need to make some inner adjustments, if we are to feel good about those plans.

Also on Tuesday, Neptune starts to slow down its speed, getting ready for the 5-month retrograde phase that starts on June 13th. A planet's energies are more exalted during it's "station period". With an outer planet this has more weight: they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign. It will be felt until June 26th.

Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith -- plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film -- while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.

This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn't involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets and points in 10-14 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini and Sagittarius.

Wednesday (June 1st): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 10:46pm EDT (see Monday evening for details)

Wednesday at 11:42am, we enter a 11-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 10:46pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to share your ideas with like-minded people. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Wednesday ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday evening, we enter the Balsamic Moon phase: this lasts until Saturday late evening, when the New Moon in Gemini becomes exact (…more on that later). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Wednesday late evening, a challenging Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 10:42pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on, it will be strong until this Sunday. This aspect asks us to stretch and grow: On the one hand we want to use our mind to feel confident and centered, on the other hand, we are compelled to listen to our intuition and let our imagination go wild.

Concentrating on artistic or spiritual pursuits might be better than focusing on things that require straightforward, factual thinking at this time. We might feel confused; it might be a challenge to know where we stand with others.

As best as you can, avoid things like scheduling surgery, important appointments, job interviews, or launches of new projects at this time (unless they are spiritual or artistic in nature). Compassion toward ourselves works best for this time period.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 9-15 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or  Virgo?  If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Wednesday at 10:46pm EDT, the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Friday evening. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus.

Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

Thursday (June 2nd): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday late evening for details)

Thursday is full of opportunities, support, and flow. As best as you can, allow that -- and see if there is anything that needs your attention in regards to your health, well-being or daily routines.

Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on, it will be strong until Sunday. We might feel confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money -- so it's best to wait until this transit is over, before making big moves in these areas.

If you choose to make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships -- at this time -- it's likely you will not see things as they truly are.

We are actually being asked to have faith, go with the flow; to let our intuition guide us in money and love -- if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 6 days -- it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 9-15 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Friday (June 3rd) is a big day! The Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurusuntil 11pm EDT (see Wednesday late evening for details)

Friday very early morning, a Sun/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 2:37am EDT. We started to feel this opposition from Monday on, it is strong until next week Monday (June 6th). We are called to balance our day-to-day mental processes and "conditioning" with a focus towards the larger meaning of things.

As best as you can, give yourself permission to connect to your mental processes with curiosity and playfulness, and approach your communications with others in the same fashion -- while at the same time, taking responsibility for your expectations and views about life.

We may experience a lack of energy or confidence this week. We need to "buckle down"; this could be perceived as limitations that arise from people or circumstances. Communication blocks and a general feel of slowdown are also possible.

Paradoxically though, we can also take this time to sort out our life, sift out belief structures that are out of date, and thereby become more truthful to ourselves. Go slow and steady with this, as pushing too hard will backfire; ask yourself: Would you rather be "right" or happy?

Think back to Nov. 29th, 2015,when the Sun was conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius. What seeds were planted back then? Where have you been expanding your horizons? As you develop more awareness of what you have (and haven't) accomplished since then, ask these follow-up questions: Do you like what you see? Is there more room for integration? How can you bring 5% more awareness to your goals, your accomplishments or lack thereof?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

As Friday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us -- especially around our conditioning. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

Friday at 7:02pm EDT, we enter a 4-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:01pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your desire for comfort and security with your desire for a deeper emotional connections with yourself and others. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday evening ahead of time ;-)

Friday evening, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 8:47pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until next week Monday (June 6th). This might be a time of relationship tests or trials: we may not be attracting the things and people that we want in our lives -- at least, not as easily as we were before this transit.

This can be eye-opening -- a signal to work on improving the "ways" (as well as the "things") that we bring to partnerships or to our finances.

Doubts could be raised now. We could be withdrawing or holding back a little, as we attempt to figure out what we want and need -- and what we can give. We are working towards ridding ourselves of self-delusion when it comes to partnerships, socializing and finances. In the process, we might feel disdain for inauthentic interactions and resent "going through the motions" on a social and/or mental level.

Our goal is to find more meaningful connections to others. Relationships built on weak foundations may not survive, but other relationships can be improved and strengthened. Financial matters might be stressful for the time being, which forces us into a position of conservation and moderation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this -- as well as on an external level with others.

Think back to Jan. 8th, 2016,when Venus was conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius. With Venus opposing Saturn now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then. So: What were the seeds? What are the fruits?

In other words: What has emerged since January, in regards to who and what you value? You are also now more aware of what you have (and haven't) learned since then... Do you like what you see? Is there room for more integration in this area too?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Friday late evening, at 11:01pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Sunday evening. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible; as long as we don't get bored, we're good.

Saturday (June 4th) is also a big day! The Moon remains in lively, curious Gemini all day (see Friday late eveningfor details).

Saturday morning, a challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 6:57am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Tuesday on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday (June 7th). This aspect says “stretch and grow!”. There is a feeling of enthusiasm and excitement in the air; it almost seems as if we could move mountains.

Awareness is key: Be alert for undue optimism, that could lead to overextending or over-promising: As best as you can, stay connected to what's real — avoid exaggerations, especially when it comes to your daily routines and well-being.

This is a time when we can accomplish quite a bit -- if we don't let ourselves get too overwhelmed by all the thoughts and possibilities flooding our consciousness. As best as you can, take it one moment at a time, staying grounded in reality.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces? If so, you will be more aware of this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Saturday evening, a challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 8:49pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until Monday night. This aspect asks that we question our most fundamental beliefs and conditioning around money and relationships.

We have the opportunity here to grow beyond our understanding of what our values get us. Issues connected to love, relationships, and whatever is most valuable to us, can seem overwhelming at this time. This is because we have a tendency to overindulge or over-promise.

We mean well, because we are feeling quite optimistic at this time -- but we may underestimate how much time we actually have, or how good a fit something actually is. Overspending, overindulging and over-promising could be connected to this aspect as well (as could making assumptions in our relationships); as best as you can, bring a non-judgmental awareness to any such tendencies.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Pisces or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Saturday late evening, at 11pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 15 degrees of Gemini. This is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. With the New Moon in curious, quick-witted, chatty, versatile Gemini, we are asked to connect to others and share our hearts out for this New Moon cycle.

This is a "busy" energy, with a focus on communicating and collecting information; we are invited to look at our mental programming and conditioned mind. What thought structures need to go? Which would we like to create? To get a more detailed understanding, watch my New Moon video on the subject; I will post it on Wednesday evening.

Gemini is asking us to stay in movement, and at the same time, think about all that we need to know to move forward. It also calls on us to share ourselves. Here are some questions for this New Moon: If I listened to my inner dialog about relationships and what I value, what would I overhear? What is my mind saying to me that might no longer serve my evolution? What needs to change?

Saturn in Sagittarius still remains the focus points of a T-square with Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces... This has been going on for a while now -- those of you who also watch my videos may recall that I've been mentioned this in my videos since March -- if you'd like a refresher, you might like to go back and re-watch my last couple of videos.

Since this New Moon falls exactly into the "empty leg" of that T-square, we are invited to remain curious, open-minded and adaptable for the next 28 days. These planetary positions create a powerful Grand Cross, one that invites us to stretch (and grow) beyond what we currently believe ourselves to be, what we believe to be true, how we connect to our inner and outer dialogue, how we understand life, how we apply ourselves in life!

Do you perceive things as they really are? Where do you tend to make assumptions? Where do you have rigid expectations?

What might be possible if you approached things with a "beginner's mind" -- dropping all the "filters" through which you normally see yourself/others/life? Could you trust your own inner truth about "right and wrong" without getting rigid -- in other words, without imposing that "truth" on others? Could you remain curious about other people's "truths"?

Neptune in Pisces, part of this Grand Cross, is stationing at the time of the New Moon -- it's getting ready for it's 5-month retrograde phase -- and its energy is more exalted.

This invites us to bring a good dose of compassion and unconditional love to everything we encounter around our thinking patterns, beliefs, and ways of communicating with ourselves and others.

This is an opportunity to go beyond what we have done in the past and experiment with new ways of using our mind. For example, meditation and mindfulness exercises can actually "rewire our brain". How might you use these very powerful tools?

One very powerful effect of meditation is to loosen our "identification" with every thought that pops up -- the sense that "I am my thoughts, so I have to believe whatever my mind says". What might happen if we at least paused for a moment before speaking and allowed ourselves to be with our feelings (rather than escaping our feelings by engaging our mind)?

Neptune also teaches us about oneness and acceptance. What if you were guided at every turn, supported through every challenge, loved and accepted fully no matter what? What if you were already forgiven?

What daily practice might connect you to the subtle voice of your intuition? What if you trusted the flow of life, just for this now moment, just to see what might happen?

Mercury (the ruler of Gemini) is in Taurus at the time of the New Moon, opposing Mars in Scorpio, inviting us to set healthy boundaries for ourselves. We are ready to speak up about anything out of alignment with our core values -- perhaps more quickly than we meant to -- and in particular, speak a firm “No” when it is the loving thing to do for ourselves.

When it comes to learning, we'll prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb -- we simply process information better when we can personalize it and attach it to the practical world. We'll likely find ourselves asking "what use is it to me?" quite a bit ;-)

We may also need to complete a process, something that came up between April 14th and May 22nd, while Mercury moved through its shadow phase and later retrograde. Think back and see what showed up back then: What conversations and thoughts did you have around self-value and what's of importance to you? What have you discovered since?

Venus in Gemini makes a mutual reception with Mercury in Taurus. This gives us the opportunity to connect mind and heart. Venus also aligns with the New Moon, inviting us to let ourselves be guided by our heart for the next 28 days. Collaboration and fairness are preferred at this time.

Just as when the Full Moon occurred two weeks back, we still have the Grand Trine in place between Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto;it’s in the earth signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. This combo provides a flow of practical approaches, a wonderful opportunity to connect to what we feel most passionate about, and what empowers us and others long-term.

What are you manifesting? When you look at that, what do you discover about your relationship to the physical world? What might you want to let go of, that is not supporting that relationship? What if you connected to the physical world in a healthy way?

The spiritual quest of Gemini is the development of perception, thought, and communication. With each new thought or memory, new connections are created in the brain; the more we think a particular thought, the deeper the "pathways" are worn.

What thoughts and mental processes might be leading us into limiting places and lower vibrations? How can we lovingly embrace our imperfections and limitations? What about those of others?

To sum it all up: We are definitely invited to stretch and grow this month!

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 13-17 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

You have 48 hours after the time of the New Moon to write some powerful intentions for this Lunar month — so this month, the best time to set intentionswould be any time between 11pm Saturday late evening and 12:47pm EDT on Sunday early afternoon. Then again on Sunday from 11:41pm until 11pm EDT Monday late evening.

Sunday (June 5th): the Moon remains in lively, curious Gemini until 11:41pm EDT (see Friday late evening for details).

Sunday at 12:47pm EDT, we enter a 11-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 11:41pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and share your future vision with them. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Sunday ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 11:41pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.

Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

A head's up for next Monday (June 6th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Sunday late evening for more details). In the late afternoon, a Sun/Venus alignment in almost 17 degrees of Gemini becomes exact at 5:39pm EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from May 28th on; it will be strong until June 14th. Also on Monday, the Neptune station intensifies until June 21st. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week was busy for me, but it felt like a good "steady busy" -- I had an inner urge to move faster than normal. I definitely observed myself being impatient, both with myself and with others, and sometimes I was easily annoyed... everything you would expect with Mars retrograde in Sagittarius ;-)

Mercury's station put some stumbling blocks on the path, but I went around them, by staying flexible and adaptable in the moment. I'm happy to report also, that last week's Forecasting Forum was really well received, despite some Mercury Station hiccups ;-)

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to listen to the recording of my recent Chiron-lecture: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

This week's headline items: Venus changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Tuesday morning; a long-term Jupiter/Saturn Square becomes exact on Thursday morning; on Friday late morning, Mars dips back into Scorpio for the summer; and the last Quarter Moon in Pisces becomes exact on Sunday morning.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday late morning (for 14 hours), Wednesday evening (for a little over 13 hours), and Saturday afternoon (for 45 minutes).

Monday (May 23rd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all dayIt will journey there until Monday night/Tuesday very early morning. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now"; we pursue truth and a new vision -- meaning the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we'd rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just "winging it". We could also overdo or overstate.

Monday at 11:37am EDT, we enter a 14-hour Moon void of course; this lasts until 1:34am EDT (Tuesday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to connect to like-minded people and learn something new about your unique self. See if you can broaden your approach, when it comes to your goals or projects. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Monday ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday (May 24th) at 1:34am EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Thursday late morning. The Capricorn Moon emphasizes our need for structure and forward planning. We are motivated by a desire for success; achievement and manifestation are paramount.

We are resourceful and pursue economy with time, energy, and other resources. We take things more seriously during Moon in Capricorn: we look reality in the eye. This can be a very productive period. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off: try saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) is transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore our beliefs. It's also a great time to focus on the greater meaning of life and for going beyond conditioned thinking structures. As best as you can, be authentic about what you believe: Do your beliefs actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, not how it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Tuesday at 5:45am EDT, Venus changes signs from steady, calm, sensual Taurus to chatty, social, versatile Gemini. Venus, the energy of love, “relating" and finances will journey through Gemini until June 17th: For the next 3.5 weeks, we value mental stimulation and frequent changes of scenery in our love relationships.

We love connecting and sharing ourselves with others. As long as we don't get bored, we will stick around -- but as soon as we disengage mentally, we begin to thirst for interesting conversations with new people, in new places and/or situations. Love is playful and lighthearted for the next 3.5 weeks and humor plays a part in all our relationships.

Our finances might fluctuate at this time, as we don't invest in anything for long enough to know whether it would have actually made a profit. That said, this sign-change actually favors financial transactions that benefit from speed, or wide dispersal of resources -- it's a great time for short-term investments.

As best as you can, stay open-minded and flexible toward love and finances. Curiosity towards life and love is a great gift as Venus moves through Gemini -- you never know where things will go at this time — and if nothing else, that attitude makes it hard to be bored for even a second ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more chatty for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to friends and have several activities going all at once. Learning or teaching something new might be just the thing for you to do right now. If you are a Gemini Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign

Tuesday late evening, a Venus/Mars opposition becomes exact at 10:38pm EDT. We started to feel this opposition from Sunday evening on; it will be strong until Thursday evening.

We are becoming more aware of a need to balance and integrate our masculine and feminine energies from within. Some level of competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst could be present in some of our relationships with the opposite sex at this time.

Something that is definitely key right now is expressing our passion in a way that is compatible with our values. If you find yourself in a love-hate bind with someone, simply ask yourself: What would “Love” do right now?

With Mars currently retrograde in Sagittarius, we may also experience a shift in our masculine energies -- or we need to access that energy in a new way.

Think back to November 2015, when Venus was conjunct Mars in Virgo: What seeds were planted back then? Did you change how you access your feminine and masculine energies? You are now aware of what you have (and haven't) integrated since then... Do you like what you see? Is there more room for integration?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 0-4 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces, or 28+29 degrees of Taurus,Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Wednesday (May 25th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday very early morning for details).

Wednesday at 9:11pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 13 hours, until 10:27am EDT (Thursday late morning). There may be a tension between our need to zoom ahead and our desire to “get it right” by going one step at a time. Others are also wrestling with this tension, so we may feel impatient with them.

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and for finding creative ways to balance (and “solve”) these seemingly incompatible energies. As best as you can, go with the flow — and remember, while this is actually an energizing time for existing projects, it’s definitely best to avoid starting anything brand-new. You may also want to plan your evening and Thursday morning ahead of time ;-)

Thursday (May 26th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn and VoC until 10:27am EDT (see Tuesday very early morning and Wednesday evening for details).

Thursday morning, a long-term, challenging Jupiter/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 8:28am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from March 2nd on; it will be strong until June 14th (due to Jupiter's and Saturn's retrograde phases). Jupiter represents philosophy, expansion, faith, personal growth; Saturn symbolizes responsibility, discipline, and pragmatism.

Some restructuring of our lives and business goals might be in order. We may be looking for new challenges -- sometimes because we are forced to look, as things are not going exactly to plan.

We have a desire to grow and expand, but this attitude is tempered with caution and a sense of restriction. It is best to breathe new life into old plans, rather than striking out with an altogether new one. Take steps to grow, but don't overextend, or you’re bound to grow frustrated. We're also encouraged to do things by the book -- but may not want to -- this is not the time to take shortcuts (they won't work...)

This aspect also reveals where our beliefs may be out of sync with reality. What was true before may not be now -- may have never been true in the first place. What was impossible before may be doable now.

As best as you can, take a look at what’s holding you back: Are there “old” fears or beliefs that are no longer keeping you on your intended course? Imagine for a moment that you wake up tomorrow morning and all fear has mysteriously vanished... What would be possible?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-17 degrees of Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect; this is also true for those of us with the Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Capricorn (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Thursday at 10:27am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Saturday late afternoon. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future -- or on outer space :-) Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Friday (May 27th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Thursday late morning for details).

Beginning Friday at 9:51am EDT, retrograde Mars dips back into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio-- it is effectively retracing the movements it made through the sky between February 18th and March 5th. Mars will go into Sagittarius on Aug. 2nd; in the meantime, we get another chance to experience it in the later degrees of Scorpio.

Think back to mid February/early March; are there things you began then, that might benefit from a revisit or reassessment?

Mars in Scorpio says "It's black or white: Pick one!" It's all about accepting challenges and making changes with concentrated energy and willpower. We rely heavily on our gut feelings. We can see through others, could potentially exploit or (quietly but formidably) oppose them. We project cool equilibrium; below the surface may be another story -- in general, we don't want to show our hand…

We may be attracted to sexual taboos or fantasies in which the "other" surrenders their body and will completely -- and our sex appeal could perhaps be strong enough to bring that about.

Mars in Scorpio has a provocative quality to it: We might test ourselves and others. We make all kinds of rules and goals, just for the personal satisfaction that comes from achieving or mastering them. Our survival instincts are stronger; we more easily embrace our own animal nature, without guilt.

All this is especially true if you have an Aries or Scorpio Sun- or Rising-sign. Scorpios will feel unusually energized, passionate and direct -- and physically stronger. Aries will feel more intensely connected to others (and to life) for the next 6 weeks :-)

Saturday (May 28th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 5:06pm EDT (see Thursday late morning for details).

Saturday at 4:19pm EDT, we enter a 45-minute Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 5:06pm EDT. We are experiencing two quite different needs that pull us in different directions: On the one hand, we feel the need to improve our lives and move towards our vision; on the other hand, we need to do something about our inner experiences -- the inner world of shadows and fears.

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. Find ways to honor your feelings/gut and see where the mind takes you from there. If at all possible, refrain from starting anything brand-new or stick to routine things. If nothing else… simply go with the flow.

Saturday at 5:06pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Monday evening.

Sunday (May 29th):the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Saturday late afternoon for details).

Sunday at 8:12am EDT, the last Quarter Moonin 8.5 degrees of Pisces becomes exact. The Moon in creative, sensitive Pisces makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in versatile, fast-thinking Gemini.This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed -- and what needs to be changed. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon (June 4th).

During the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to review anything started around the last New Moon. In this case, that would be May 6th: we now have about a week to wrap up any projects that we got into around that time. What needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since May 6th? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up between yourself and others -- and for any internal conflicts.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the flowing: 6-11 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Also on Sunday, Mercury ends its station and gets back to its normal pace through the sky. We have a chance to implement everything we thought about during the retrograde phase and move forward with any thinking and/or communication issues that came up.

A head's up for next Monday (May 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 9:09pm EDT (see Saturday late afternoon for details). At 7:10pm EDT, we enter a 2-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 9:09pm EDT.At that point, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. In the late evening,a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspectbecomes exact at 11:09pm EDT. Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we started to feel this aspect from May 7th on; it will be strong until June 3rd. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week was calm and slow-moving -- something most of us rarely get to experience any more. I also gave a talk on "Chiron-Healing with Astrology" at the end of the week, here in Chicago. It went really well, but I could definitely feel how my body wanted to rest after that -- no surprise, with Mars being retrograde and so many planets in Taurus.

One quick announcement before we get started with this week's forecast:

This week's headline items:Mercury's station intensifies on Wednesday, the Sun changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Friday late morning, the first of two Full Moons in Sagittarius within the next month becomes exact on Saturday afternoon; finally, on Sunday morning, Mercury comes to a halt, as it begins the process of moving forward again after a 3.5-week retrograde phase.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for a little over 8 hours), Wednesday late morning (for 15 hours), and Saturday morning (for 7 hours).

Monday (May 16th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 1:33pm EDT.This turns our focus toward practical activities. Solving problems, making order out of confusion, helping others: all bring emotional satisfaction.

Health might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.), align with our long-term goals.

Monday at 5:20am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 8 hours, until 1:33pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to create an awareness around what’s of value to you -- and be of service to others. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Monday ahead of time ;-)

Monday at 1:33pm EDT,the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon wants to maintain equal relationships: we thus tend to spend more time on diplomacy -- making compromises, negotiating, practicing graciousness, balancing, etc.

We can better set aside our emotions, to achieve the peace we desire; the shadow side of this is a tendency to avoid direct confrontations. We see both sides -- and may also fear loss of approval -- so we can't decide. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this... and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm.

Tuesday (May 17th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Monday early afternoon for details).

In the early morning, we may need to make some internal adjustments, allowing ourselves to go with the flow and honoring our feelings. That said, throughout the day, we have an opportunity to move our long-term goals forward -- one step at a time.

In the evening, we are being asked once more to make some internal adjustments; this time, we are being invited to take our time digesting what we have heard or learned throughout the day. As best as you can, connect to your values, while at the same time staying open to other people's values.

Wednesday (May 18th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Monday early afternoon for details).

Wednesday at 11:23am EDT, we enter a 15-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 2:29am EDT (Thursday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to balance your need for equal and harmonious connection, with your drive toward personal visions and ideas.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the second half of Wednesday ahead of time ;-)

Also on Wednesday, Mercury's station intensifies, as the planet is further slowing down. During the station, we feel Mercury's energies more strongly. Pay attention to anything "in your face" in any of the following areas: communications, short travels, transportation of any kind, communication devices. You will get a chance to make adjustments when the station phase is over (May 25th).

For the next 7 days, we might experience delays or misunderstandings; things could feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time when getting ready to go somewhere -- and that goes for the journey itself, too -- especially if you intend to drive or use public transportation. Going with the flow is definitely recommended at this time.

Be extra-patient if you intend to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, especially if they are transportation or communication devices like planes, trains, cars, phones, computers, iPads, etc. Best of all (if possible): wait until after June 7th, when the shadow phase is over. (For more details on Mercury Retrogrades and Shadow Phases, click here)

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 12-16 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius.

Thursday (May 19th) at 2:29am EDT: the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Saturday afternoon. We feel emotions on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things -- superficiality won't work for us now -- and we instinctively read between the lines.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power; it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. This tends to be an emotionally colored, all-or-nothing, black or white experience -- it can therefore be an intimate, passionate time.

As best as you can, avoid manipulation, brooding and suspicion; instead, open to the wealth of your innermost feelings -- decide to go deeper, allowing all feelings to surface, if they need to. Embrace all of who you are. Know thyself, love thyself and you shall be set free.

Remember: a deep love of all that we are will connect us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and is ultimately what disempowers ourselves and others.

Thursday evening, an opportune Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 8:28pm EDT. We started to feel this from Tuesday night on; it will be strong until Saturday morning. It's an opportunity to bring healing to our wounds around relationships or our sense of self-worth.

We get a chance to love ourselves and heal deep fears of not being "good enough". Healing happens much faster when we can open to forgiving ourselves and others. As best as you can, bring compassion and understanding to yourself, to others, and to those past experiences that wounded you.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-27 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)

Friday (May 20th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothingScorpio all day (see Thursday early morning for details).

Friday at 10:36am EDT, the Sun changes signs from steady, sensual Taurus to versatile, fast-thinking Gemini. It will journey through Gemini until June 20th. With the Sun in Gemini, the urge for self-expression is strong. We may be extra interested in collecting and sharing information. This is a time when curiosity and adaptability are favored. We are more flexible, changeable and adaptable -- which makes us quite social as well.

We enjoy intellectual conversations and we can easily become bored if we are not getting enough mental stimulation at this time. We are more objective and observant, but prefer to keep things light and easy. There is usually a nervousness in the air at this time as well, as we are constantly seeking to connect and have new interactions. “Sharing” is the name of the game.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Gemini Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Gemini, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo your vitality will most likely speed up and you feel more chatty than usual.

Also today (Friday) is your last chance to sign up for the upcoming MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM. Sign up to join the webinar live (Saturday, May 21st at 12pm PDT/3pm EDT/8pm GMT), or register to receive an mp4 within 24 hours of the live event. Other than booking a reading with me, this is the maximum level of support I offer -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. Register Now!

Saturday (May 21st): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothingScorpio until 2:48pm EDT (see Thursday early morning for details).

Saturday at 7:40am EDT we enter a 7-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 2:48pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between your need to merge with others while honoring your own worth. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Saturday ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 2:48pm EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, whereit will journey until Monday night/Tuesday very early morning.

Saturday at 5:14pm EDT, the Full Moon in 1 degree of Sagittarius becomes exact. For the next two weeks, we are looking for balance, as we are more aware than ever that something needs to be brought into alignment.

The balance in question is between our mental processes -- symbolized by Gemini -- and our quest for a larger truth or meaning (Sagittarius). It's important to realize that the Sagittarian urge to "go beyond" is essential for our growth; it also plays a crucial role in how we interact with others and share information (Gemini).

Any Full Moon is a more extroverted and emotional time; this time around, we are being invited to unify mind and heart so we can discover a new world of possibilities. To learn more about this month's Full Moon, please click here to watch my video

Sagittarius shows us a wider perspective, one that has us look beyond facts and learned knowledge to our direct life experiences, and the wisdom we gain thereby. Gemini wants us to stay connected to our immediate environment and "day-to-day mind" -- processing and sharing information as fast and as much as possible.

Venus in Taurus aligns with the Sun in Gemini, asking us to think about what is most valuable to our thinking processes. What do we enjoy hearing, talking, and learning about? How can we honor our thoughts?

Ask yourself: What might I hear, if I consciously listened to my body, mind and heart? What might be possible with an open heart and mind? Is there a way to be both grounded and flexible at the same time?

Mars (currently retrograde) makes a very close alignment with the Moon in Sagittarius. This points to a need for independence and wanting to explore life beyond what we already know -- venturing out, finding meaning beyond the familiar environment -- a journey that needs to start from the inside out.

You may want to ask yourself: Where do I feel particularly impatient or easily annoyed? What deserves a new exploration? What actions are calling to be done?

We might feel particularly impulsive for the next two weeks and tend to assume that everyone knows what's going on with us without attempting to communicate. We are thus most likely more reactive than responsive.

Since we are all going to feel this, as best as you can, look within first before expressing your anger or jumping to conclusions. Look at the bigger picture and remain curious to avoid saying or doing something you can't take back. As best as you can, share your inner process.

As Mars also opposes the Sun in Gemini, we get a chance to look back at mid-June, 2015 (when Mars was conjunct the Sun in Gemini) What seeds were planted back then? We are now aware of what we have (and haven't) learned since then and need to make a decision about where we want to go from here. Do you like what you see?

The important thing here is to gain a sense of the next best step towards either a greater understanding of our conditioning, or our thought processes, or gathering all the information we need to make a move.

Mercury (the ruler of Gemini) is stationing in 14 degrees of Taurus at the time of the Full Moon (and is therefore exalted). It's making an inconjunct to Saturn in Sagittarius, pointing our attention toward our own value and whatever no longer works for us.

This also helps us develop a more conscious connection to our inner dialog and thought processes, especially around financial issues and self-worth. You may want to ask yourself: what are my thoughts about money and my own value in the world? What do I truly believe is possible for me? Are there reoccurring thoughts about me that are creating a reality I am ready to leave behind?

Mercury is still part of a Grand Trine with Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Virgo, so you can tap into what you truly want, what you feel deeply passionate about (i.e. what energizes you and makes you feel alive). This energy can move you towards what you truly want for yourself long-term.

Jupiter (the ruler of Sagittarius), currently in Virgo, forms its third square with Saturn in Sagittarius (the first square was back in August 2015, the second happened in March of this year). This aspect reminds us that things are not always as they appear and reveals where our beliefs may be out of sync with reality -- what was true before may not be now -- may have never have been true in the first place. What was impossible before may in fact be doable now.

As best as you can, take a look at what’s holding you back; are there “old” fears or beliefs that are no longer keeping you on your intended course? Imagine for a moment that you wake up tomorrow morning and all fear has mysteriously vanished... What would be possible?

Saturn in Sagittarius still remains the focus points of a T-square with Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces... This has been going on since March. Everything is changing so fast (including us); this T-square invites us to be the still center, the "eye of the storm".

Over the next 14 days, these are the main questions this mutable T-square is asking: Where am I making assumptions? Could I remain curious instead? Could I listen (to myself and others) as well as speak up? Do my communications promote separation or connectedness?

Judging, criticizing, blaming, labeling, etc. — all things that separate us from others and from ourselves. Thoughts that promote self-compassion, self-care and self-acceptance connect us to ourselves and ultimately also to others. It is important at this time to take responsibility for our inner and outer dialog.

Pretend for a moment that every thought matters and creates your reality. What might be possible, if being of service were your greatest gift? What if you "walked your talk"?

To sum up: Do your best to observe your thoughts and challenge your assumptions. Look to see which thoughts are truly yours (and which aren't) and whether they serve you. As best as you can, align with authentic, higher vibrational thought forms.

And remember: you can only take responsibility for yourself. We have no control or influence over other people's thoughts, beliefs or behaviors -- but we do have influence over our own inner processes and a choice about how we respond and interact with others. So keep the focus on yourself!

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-3 degrees of Sagittarius,Gemini, Virgo, Pisces or 29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this month's Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeo or Cancer(the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Sunday (May 22nd): the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Saturday afternoon for details).

Sunday morning, a Sun/Mars opposition becomes exact at 7:17am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Thursday evening on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday. This aspect invites us to find or create a balance between two polarities:

On the one hand, we have the Sun in Gemini, wanting to connect and share as much as possible -- within our familiar environments. On the other hand, Mars in Sagittarius wants to explore life and its meanings beyond our everyday environment -- it wants us to have an adventure. This opposition can cause impulsiveness and a short temper. We may experience frustration, impatience or arguments with others.

Mars being retrograde has an impact here too: It turns this energy inward. We may experience passive-aggressive behaviors. It’s essential to understand this balance from an intuitive place; integrate those opposites internally first.

As best as you can, get quiet with your mind: As things quieten down, what actions present themselves as being the obvious best way forward? What actions preserve your inner balance and support integration over disruption? What in your life needs a new exploration? New examination?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Sagittarius,Gemini, Virgo, Pisces or 29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Sunday at 9:20am EDT, Mercury comes to a haltandslowly starts its direct motion, after its 3.5-week retrograde phase. As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now -- you may need to address those issues again, when Mercury moves through its shadow phase…more on that later.

We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective. What did you learn about money and self-worth in the past 3.5 weeks? How can you honor your gifts? What needs to be addressed in regards to your resources (finances, talents, things you own, etc…)?

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets in 12-16 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius.

When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Wednesday of next week), things will get back to normal, with regards to communication and transportation (and any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.)

As you may recall, I mentioned Mercury shadow phases in this update a several of weeks ago. If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it's best to also avoid the shadow periods, before and after Mercury goes retrograde.

This is especially true if the items you are thinking about getting are connected to transportation (cars, flight tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, i-pad, etc.) This time around, the shadow phase will end on June 7th. Feel free to also read my blog on the subject

A head's up for next Monday (May 23rd): the Moon remains inoptimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Saturday afternoon for details). At 11:37am EDT, we enter a 14-hour Moon void of course; this lasts until 1:34am EDT (Tuesday very early morning).More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Internal Connections -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., May 9th - Sun., May 15th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was steadily (but not overwhelmingly) busy. I could feel all that grounding Taurus energy together with the Jupiter station. I could really feel and understand how taking things personally is not in my best interest -- or anyone else's for that matter. This realization felt freeing -- like a weight lifted from my being.

One quick announcement before we get started with this week's forecast:
If you live in the Chicago area, feel free to join me on Friday (May 13th) at 7:30pm CDT for a 90-minute talk about Chiron -- the Wounded Healer. Where and how have we each experienced wounding? How can we heal and see the gift of that wound?  Fee: $10; Location: Midwest Plaza South, 2021 Midwest Road, lower level, Oak Brook 60523

This week's headline items: Jupiter comes to a halt on Monday morning. On Tuesday, the Pluto station ends and we can also start to take actions on our New Moon Intentions. The first Quarter Moon in Leo becomes exact on Friday afternoon; finally, on Sunday, Mercury starts to slow down again (getting ready to move direct again at the end of next week).

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very early morning (for a little over 13 hours), Wednesday early morning (for 14 hours), and Friday afternoon (for almost 13 hours).

Monday (May 9th) is a big day! The Moon remains in curious, versatile, chatty Gemini until 1:24pm EDT. The Gemini Moon keeps us social and busy. Interactions may take place online, on the phone, or face-to-face with those in our immediate environment. With this Moon placement, we like to multitask and stay engaged with life as much as possible: As long as we don't get bored, we're good.

With Mercury being retrograde right now, we may need to slow things down a little, tapping into all these interactions from a more intuitive place. Rather than initiating new contacts, consider reconnecting with old friends or former business associates; it’s also probably best to revisit conversations from the past three to four weeks.

Monday very early morning, at 12:15am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 13 hours, until 1:24pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to reconnect with your vision for life and with like-minded people. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Monday ahead of time ;-)

Monday at 8:14am EDT, Jupiter comes to a halt in 13 degrees of Virgo and slowly starting to move direct again, after a 4-month retrograde phase; as mentioned last week, Jupiter's energy will be felt most strongly at this time.

The Jupiter retrograde gave us a chance to tap our inner wisdom, optimism and sense of possibility. It was a chance to learn more about how the world works from our inner understanding. We got to choose our “true beliefs”, especially in regards to our health, daily routines, being of service and holistic/improved approaches to life -- and learned which beliefs serve us, and which don't.

This process of internal connection to our wisdom and ability to grow has been underway for the past four months. As Jupiter slowly starts to pick up speed again, it will return our focus to the outside world — a process that will be complete by May 13th. Where would you look for your inner wisdom? If your inner organizer had a voice and could speak, what might it say?

Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendent) in 11-15 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius will be more affected by this station. This is also true for those of us with their Ascendent or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter's movements and aspects).

Monday morning, an opportune Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:41am EDT. We started tofeel this aspect from last Saturday on, it will be strong until this Tuesday night. This is an opportunity for compassion and kindness when it comes to the physical world: our body and this planet. We are more attuned to the subtleties of human interaction, and are more inclined to naturally cooperate with others.

We tend to "feel" each other on an energetic level now, a sensitive approach is therefore recommended. This is also an opportunity for imaginative or romantic interactions. Remember: opportunities are openings; they aren't necessarily handed to us -- we have to "take" them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 9-14 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer ? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Monday late morning, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 19 degrees of Taurus becomes exact at 11:12am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday on, it will be strong until this Wednesday. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.

In general, we have a strong need to take an active role in communications -- it is very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now has impact, so as best as you can, choose your words wisely. If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not "heard" -- if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that's ok.

We may be particularly stubborn during this time… it may not always be of service to us to dig our heals in: choose your battles wisely. Remember that Mercury is still retrograde: Communicate from intuition. It could also be that an issue from a couple of weeks back needs to be re-communicated…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-22 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Monday at 1:24pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, introverted Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday late afternoon.

Tuesday (May 10th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

If you set intentions last week Friday or Saturday, after the New Moon became exact, today (Tuesday) will be the best time to start taking relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Tuesday afternoon, a harmonious Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 3pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday on; it will be strong until this Thursday evening. This aspect brings a good dose of optimism, faith and a sense of the "bigger picture" to our relationships and finances. We tend to relate to others in a positive (even inspiring) manner; as you can imagine, it is thus much easier to make social contacts.

Our outlook is cheerful and hopeful, the atmosphere cooperative -- it's a great time for winning people's enthusiasm. We are more optimistic and trusting with friends and lovers. We might feel an urge to connect to people from other countries or foreign cultures, just to have an adventure, or widen our horizons. Active fun and joyful exploration are favored.

Financially, there might be a tendency to spend more than usual, as we feel confident that an abundance of resources is available to us. There are indeed definitely plenty of opportunities to be had, financial and otherwise, especially in connection with the health industry (or anything that involves food and nutrition). Educational businesses or endeavors and the travel industry are also highlighted ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Pluto resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station today (Tuesday). What has come up in the last three weeks around long-term goals? How empowered or disempowered do you feel about them? Now is a good time to do some internal work in this area...

Wednesday (May 11th): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer until 5:32pm EDT (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday at 3:34am EDT, we enter a 14-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 5:32pm EDT. There may be a tension between our need to zoom ahead, versus a desire to nurture, be nurtured and feel safe in the world. Others are also wrestling with this tension, so we may feel impatient with them; use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative ways to manage these incompatible energies.

As best as you can, go with the flow — and remember, while this is actually an energizing time for existing projects, it’s definitely best to avoid starting anything brand-new. You may also want to plan Wednesday Day ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday at 5:32pm EDT, the Moon moves into extroverted, fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Friday night/Saturday very early morning. We have a chance to appreciate ourselves and our lives -- and to connect to the heart. Hand out as many compliments as possible, they will be deeply appreciated :-)

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you squeak just thinking about it? This also starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later this evening).

Wednesday evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 7:08pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday on; it will be strong until Thursday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

It's hard to see what we are actually responsible for in relationships, so we sometimes take on unnecessary responsibilities, to ensure the relationships continue. We may ask ourselves: "Do people like me for myself, or for what I do for them?" If you're confused on this point (or any point): as best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative, adjusting as necessary.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-16 degrees of Taurus or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Thursday (May 12th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Thursday late afternoon for details).

If you set intentions last week Friday or Saturday, after the New Moon became exact, keep taking relevant actions today (Thursday). If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Friday (May 13th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Thursday late afternoon for details).

Friday at 1:02pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 23 degrees of Leo becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Leo on Thursday late afternoon. The Moon in fun and attention-loving Leo makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus.

We feel compelled to take action. The New Moon took place a week ago (May 6th); "seeds" planted then are probably "sprouting" by now -- and making first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day dealings with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 21-25 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Right when the first Quarter Moon becomes exact (1:02pm EDT), we also enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 13-hours, until 1:52am EDT (Saturday very early am). Use this intuitive time to find creative solutions around your inner joy and financial needs. As best as you can, make space for tapping into your gifts and talents, honoring them and expressing them authentically.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)

Saturday (May 14th) at 1:52am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Monday afternoon. This turns our focus toward practical activities. Solving problems, making order out of confusion, helping others: all bring emotional satisfaction.

Health might come into focus. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.), align with our long-term goals.

Saturday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:46pm EDT. We started to feel this connection from Thursday evening on; it will be strong until next week Monday. This aspect is an opportunity for self-healing; this could support our confidence and brings us into better alignment with our physical and emotional body.

We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths -- how might this be true for you?

Between Thursday of this week and Monday of next week, as best as you can, practice gentleness; be kind to yourself and others. Again, remember: an opportunity is an opening, a glimpse of new possibilities -- so "opportunities" are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow -- we have to "take" them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 22-27 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo)

Sunday (May 15th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Saturday very early morning for details).

Mercury starts to slow down again (“stationing”) today (Sunday). It’s getting ready to come to a halt, ending its 3.5-week retrograde phase, on Sunday of next week, May22nd (more on that next week…).

For the next 14 days (until May 29th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready for travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 13-16 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius.

A head's up for next Monday (May 16th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 1:33pm EDT (see Saturday very early morning for details). At 5:20am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 8 hours, until 1:33pm EDT. At that time, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning.More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
