Commitment and Discipline -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Aug. 1st - Sun., Aug. 7th, 2016

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was exciting and full of zip -- no doubt that was the Uranus station.

I was really active physically and had much more social interaction than usual. This felt very unusual to me, as I usually spend a lot of time working from home (and connect with my clients via skype and phone).

I'm sure the Mercury/Uranus Trine we had last week had a lot to do with connecting in unusual ways with others... and of course, all the Leo planets love to express themselves and have some fun with others too -- I definitely felt self-expressed this past week :-)

Underneath it all, there was a sense of anxiousness or mental restlessness -- I wanted to move forward and accomplish more; for me, this felt connected to the Saturn Station.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my recent Chiron workshop: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

This week's headline items: Mars re-enters Sagittarius on Tuesday morning, the New Moon in Leo becomes exact Tuesday afternoon Venus changes signs from Leo to Virgo (Friday late morning). Saturn's Station intensifies Friday night,Mercury moves over the Solar Eclipse degree from Sept.1st on Saturday morning, we can start to take actions on our New Moon Intentions on Sunday.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for almost 30 minutes), Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning (a little over 3 hours), and Friday late evening (just over 13.5 hours).

Monday (August 1st): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Canceruntil 9:12pm EDT. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say, so our feelings are more easily hurt -- be kind to yourself and others (self-care is key for today ;-)

In fact, emotional safety is important -- we prefer the familiar (e.g. home and family) and enjoy nurturing ourselves and others. That said, make sure your glass is full before letting others drink from it, or you might start to feel "drained" and resentful.

Monday morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Chiron aspectbecomes exact at 4:30am EDT; we've been feeling this aspect since early morning on Sunday and will continue to do so until Tuesday morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level; we feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward and have a choice to make. The internal nature of this demands inner awareness.

The "awkwardness" may be felt in social situations; we may be unsure whether to seek admiration and love, or turn inward to lick old wounds. We must make a choice regarding a personal relationship, a purchase, or our self-image. The good news is, by embracing our own humanity, we might be able to create some healing for ourselves and others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-25 degrees of Leo or Pisces? Or perhaps your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect.

Monday early afternoon,a harmonious Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 1:49pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening on; it will be strong until this Thursday evening.

Commitment and discipline are the keys to understanding our heart's desire right now. We face life on life's terms and feel up to doing so (especially when it comes to our creative self-expression). What could we achieve if we brought 5% more joy to our long-term plans?

Paradoxically, we can also bring a more mature approach to exploring our "inner child" energy. How might a supportive "inner parent" help your "inner child" feel safe to play?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries? Or your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)? If either of those is true, you can expect to be more blessed by this aspect :-)

On Monday at 8:44pm, we enter a half-hour Moon void of course (VoC) (it lasts until 9:12pm EDT); use this brief VoC to take a break and connect to loved ones. Allow yourself to be vulnerable and emotionally authentic. As always with a Moon VoC, don't start anything brand-new if you don't have to -- stick to your routine, or just go with the flow.

Monday at 9:12pm EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising.

We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-) So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart with this and all other things... be honest, authentic.

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Tuesday (Aug. 2nd): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Regular readers may remember that Mars entered adventurous Sagittarius on March 5th -- but its retrograde movement then took it back into passionate Scorpio. On Tuesday at 1:49pm EDT, it returns to Sagittarius and will journey there until Sept. 27th.

We are probably going to feel restless or impatient at times -- this will likely manifest as a desire to explore or even travel. If we can't go on a trip, learning about other cultures and belief systems could substitute. This also a great time to get into sports or athletic activities (we have lots of energy).

We also have lots of ideas and interests, so many that we can't just stick to one thing, and end up with multiple projects running. We find ideas and ideologies fascinating and compelling, so we welcome juicy debates with others, especially when we can bring them around to our point of view.

It's not the best time to get too serious about life, as we prefer to feel free-flowing and excited about new things -- especially when we can learn something new. One way we try to keep the fun-and-adventure levels high is by improvising and "winging it".

Of course, this doesn't go on forever: Saturn is also in Sagittarius and Mars moves closer to it from mid-August until early September. As that happens we will have to to slow down a little, commit to a course of action, and get more serious about what we believe. We will also have to get real about what we can actually achieve and take responsibility for how we move forward -- this stage is about legwork, not winging it :-)

If you have an Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to feel more adventurous and probably more impatient. You may want to explore new sports or physical activities. If you are a Sagittarius Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized for the next 6 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.

Tuesday at 4:45pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 11 degrees of Leo -- in other words, the New Moon will be exactand a new lunar cycle begins. The New Moon in fun-loving, extroverted, expressive Leo has us looking for heart-felt experiences. It is important for us to express ourselves, to learn about love -- and the power of creating from the heart.

Think about the keywords for this self-expressive fire sign: “proud, generous, hospitable, caring, warm, authoritative, active, open”. How could you live into those words for the next 28 days?

Leo is ruled by the Sun, symbol of consciousness: it represents the particular qualities of the light we came to shine forth in this lifetime. This is what we were born to explore, and in particular to express: Where could you shine your unique light more brightly? What brings you joy? Not just in general... but in this very moment?

Leo also represents our creativity. There are as many ways to be creative and self-expressed as there are "selves" -- indeed, we are all creators -- we create with every thought, word and action.

Creativity requires innocence, curiosity, courage and play. To live it out, we must tap into the unique spark inside of us in a joyful way. We also need to allow ourselves the freedom to make mistakes: Creativity thrives on love and permission; it is stifled by judgment and fear.

Take a moment to contact your "free inner child" -- that place inside that is ready to play and create. What does that inner child need, to come out and play? If you aren't sure, there's no need to guess: Try asking it gently and directly...

Venus is also moving through Leo at the time of the New Moon. This encourages us to enjoy life and allow more time for whatever satisfies us -- and simply to take more breaks for pleasure and playfulness.

We also get an opportunity to bring a softer, friendlier, more loving approach to our connection to our ”inner child” (and children in general). What have you always wanted to do? Who have you always wanted to be? What would an "inner child" playdate look like?

Mars, in zero degrees of Sagittarius, is asking us to take a look at how far we have come since March 5th. In fact, it's time to take action on all the projects we've had on hold or in slow motion since then: How has your perspective shifted in the past 5 months? How does that impact the way you take action now?

Saturn in Sagittarius trines the New Moon. Commitment and discipline are the keys to understanding our heart's desire right now. Saturn is also the focal point of a T-square which I will talk about momentarily.... and it has started its station phase, slowing down and thereby allowing us to see more clearly what this energy is to us. One thing we might well become more aware of is the very high expectations we put on ourselves and others.

When it comes to your perception of life, ask yourself: What seems scary or limiting? Where could I set healthy boundaries (so I can feel connection without overwhelm)? What if I prioritized where I put my focus?

Next, let's talk about Neptune in Pisces... It's making a somewhat challenging connection to this New Moon that calls for some internal adjustments. It also reminds us to rest and get some quiet time amid active play.

We are invited to open our hearts and fully love ourselves, others, and life itself. The message is to trust that we are always loved and that everything is a form of love. How does your internal experience vary from the external? What if everything you experienced really was a form of "love"?

Mercury in Virgo opposes Neptune and Pisces -- and both of those planets make a square to Saturn in Sagittarius -- this creates a T-square focused on Saturn. We are invited yet again to bring maturity and responsibility to our communications and thought structures.

What calls out for clarity? What role might trust play? How about compassion's role? Could you move just inch further away from rigid, fearful thinking and assuming, to thoughtful, mature contemplation and communication?

Uranus in Aries trines Venus in Leo. This aspect urges us to be true to ourselves and make any changes that help us realize our personal vision. What is the ideal world that only you can see? How might your talents help bring it into being?

To sum it all up: this New Moon wants us to experience joy -- from a place of responsibility and maturity. It also invites us to tap into our divinity by being authentic and coming from the heart in every moment. What might change if you trusted your intuition 5% more? What if you were a careful, loving parent to your intuition?

One more bonus coaching question: What might it be like to create, not for the sake of achievement or gain, but out of love, joy and fun? Feel free to watch my New Moon video for a fuller discussion on the subject :-)

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 9-13 degrees ofLeo, Aquarius, TaurusorScorpio? Or your Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeoorCancer? This New Moon may feel stronger to you...

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. This month, you have two slots:

The first slot is between 4:45pm EDT Tuesday and late night Wednesday (12:13am EDT on Thursday, to be exact). If that doesn't work for you, wait three-and-a-half hours until 3:34am EDT on Thursday -- you then have until 4:45pm EDT on Thursday afternoon (August 4th) to write your intentions down.

Wednesday (Aug. 3rd): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Wednesday morning at 4:02am: a somewhat challenging Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect on Monday evening and it will be strong until Wednesday night.

This aspect feels "internal" -- inner unease and awkwardness -- and we need to make a choice. Given that it is an internal issue, we need to develop an inner awareness, if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

Our energy tends to be unrealistically directed -- and our sense of self may actually change as we learn that we have wrongly assessed important situations. Our self-trust takes a hit.

Due to our high ideals, we may take on more than we can physically handle -- if we start to feel drained or frustrated, it might be helpful to look at the overall direction we are taking. Do your best to rest and have quiet time alongside your active play-time.

It's also worthwhile to look at how our self-expression is received by others: Can we involve them in creating/realizing our dreams? Can we express our joy fully? Perhaps we are not sure whether we want to keep dreaming our dream privately, or share it with others... As best as you can, slow down: where there is spaciousness, there is flow; where there is flow, there is effortless creation.

Do you have your Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-12 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules of Leo; Neptune rules Pisces)

Also, remember to set your New Moon Intentions if you haven't done so yet... here is an article on how to best do that: http://goo.gl/klCcph Feel free to (re-)watch my New Moon video as well: http://goo.gl/t0ZecN :-)

Thursday (Aug. 4th) at 12:13am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 3 hours, until 3:34am EDT. If you are awake during this time, nurture yourself and others by acknowledging yours and their talents and if you can, have a giggle or a romantic moment with someone ;-) As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Thursday at 3:34am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Saturday early afternoon, turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Also: if you haven't set your New Moon Intentions yet, any time Thursday before 4:45pm EDT is a great time to do so... If you'd like some input on how to do that, check out this article: http://goo.gl/klCcph -- you could also (re-)watch my New Moon video: http://goo.gl/t0ZecN

Friday (Aug. 5th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Thursday early morning for details).

Friday at 11:27am EDT, Venus changes signs from playful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical VirgoShe will journey through that sign until August 29th. For the next three and a half weeks, our relationships are going to be put under the magnifying glass. We are more likely to want to make our relationships work in real terms.

We need to feel of service to others; we love to help, especially in a practical, down to earth kind of a way. This might also be a great time to acknowledge the people in our lives who take care of those little, daily details and make our lives easier :-)

On a social level, we might be more shy during this time -- less confident -- and most likely too busy to uphold our social commitments. On the financial side of things, we may want to invest in our health -- especially around healthy daily routines -- and anything that makes life run more smoothly on a practical level. Things that aren't so practical, sensible and "just plain right" may leave us feeling uneasy.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more shy and possibly busier than usual for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to be of service to others. Being healthy and having a healthy partner is important now. If you are a Virgo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.

Friday at 11:20pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 13.5 hours, until 12:57pm EDT (Saturday early afternoon). Use this intuitive time to expand your thinking around health issues and daily routines. See if you can find another angle or a different way to make things more efficient or wholesome.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday night and Saturday morning ahead of time ;-)

Friday night, the Saturn station intensifies until Aug. 19th."Stationing" is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more "exalted"; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.

Saturn has to do with doing what needs to be done -- so we can fully understand the practical implications of our reality, and the consequences of our past actions. Saturn also represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments and ability to "do" life, on life's terms.

As spirit beings in a physical world, it's best to observe the laws of the physical world. The sooner we learn to "play by the rules", the easier life gets. Saturn also represents time and the "domain" of time: growing up, maturing, understanding our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious and focused on building something of value to society.

Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, what would your personal "earth class" be in, right now? Where are you being asked to look at your beliefs and became more mature? What calls for a commitment towards a larger truth? What will time do?

As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. The station-phase will last until Aug. 26th; and Saturn goes direct -- after having been retrograde for almost 5-month -- on Aug. 13th in 10 degrees of Sagittarius (more on that next week).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 8-12 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this station. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn, since Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn.

Saturday (Aug. 6th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 12:57pm EDT (see Thursday early morning for details).

On Sept. 1st, the Solar Eclipse will occur in 9 degrees of Virgo; this Friday night/Saturday very early morning around 12:45am EDT, Mercury moves over that same degree. This might trigger some communication issues or thought patterns... Issues connected to health, daily routines, or being of service will need to be addressed over the next 6 months. The key here is to create awareness of two things:

First, how can we receive more specific information around our Soul's journey?

Second: what additional information do we need to tap into, so that we can connect more fully to being of service and living from a wholesome place? What messages are you receiving today that could bring more clarity?

Saturday morning, a challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect will become exact at 9:18am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Thursday on; it will be strong until Monday evening. This aspect asks us to stretch a little, to grow and mature. Watch out for misunderstandings or rigid thinking, not only when it comes to interacting with others, but also when it comes to your own inner dialog.

On the one hand, Mercury in Virgo wants us to communicate in a practical and precise manner... On the other hand, Saturn in Sagittarius reminds us that before we can think about what we want to create or bring forth, we need to look at the larger picture and get to the core of what we believe life is truly about, right here, right now -- not what it was 5 or 10 years ago.

As best as you can, find creative ways to connect to the details, while remaining committed to the exploration of your true beliefs. What is life really about? What is your life about?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Saturday at 12:57pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Monday night/Tuesday very early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Saturday evening, a challenging Venus/Mars aspectwhich becomes exact at 8:20pm EDT.We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday night on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday. This aspect asks that we stretch ourselves with regard to the feminine/masculine dynamic as it manifests both “inside” and “outside”: A shift needs to occur.

This can show up in several ways, either through romantic and sexual tensions that we might experience with others. We may tease each other, flirt with each other and/or play hard to get. Or we may find ourselves arguing in a very passionate way with the opposite sex. Competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst might be present. Either way, this can be a very passionate time.

Balancing and integrating masculine and feminine energies within ourselves would be very useful at this time. Depending on how we experience these energies, there may be a desire for adventure (extroverted/active), or for being of service (introverted/shy/receptive).

The challenge might pull us in two directions -- on the one hand, we want to be of use to others and provide a practical way to contribute; on the other hand, we want to be free and explore something new, outside of our familiar environment. What if you made space for both of these energies?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in the following: 0-7 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini or 28-29 degrees of Leo, Scorpio,Taurus or Aquarius ? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Sunday (Aug. 7th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Saturday afternoon for details).

Sunday late morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 10:12am EDT. We started to feel this from Saturday morning on; itwill be strong until Monday evening. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward; we need to make a choice. We need to develop inner awareness, so we can make adjustments.

This might concern compromising with others. Our fear of being manipulated might make us stubborn or manipulative ourselves. As best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative/the higher road, adjusting as needed.

We might be forced to focus, time and again, on details we would prefer to ignore. When life slows down, or becomes uncomfortable, simplify and be patient. We are changing and growing in ways that we can't comprehend right now. Stay as open and observant as you can.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-17 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Sunday early afternoon, a Mercury/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 12:24pm EDT. We started to feel this opposition from Friday morning on; it will be strong until Tuesday of next week. This connection is asking us to balance logic and intuition (left vs right brain). On the one hand, we have strong intuitive connections... on the other, the struggle to focus could lead to confusion or wishful thinking.

We are more inclined to daydreaming, fantasizing and imagining things; this can lead to some frustrating communications. As best as you can, use this aspect to create spiritual connections -- or something beautiful, imaginative or inspiring to others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-14 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this opposition quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in  Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

If you set your New MoonIntentions earlier in the week, soon after the New Moon became exact, Sunday will be a great time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

A head's up for next Monday (Aug. 8th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Saturday afternoon for details). At 1:41pm EDT, we enter a  Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 11 hours, until 12:51am EDT (Tuesday very early morning). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week was a little like a roller coaster ride: sometimes fun and exciting, other times uncomfortable and scary (Uranus Station anyone?) Definitely a reminder that everything happening "outside" is simply a mirror for what is happening inside -- and an opportunity to take a closer look at how I treat myself, what I believe, and my inner journey.

One of my real-life angels (my Reiki Healer) put it so profoundly: We are learning to trust our own inner center, and speaking our truth from that place, moment to moment, with vulnerability and love, rather than trying to take care of other people's feelings, taking responsibility for their behaviors, or attempting to "understand" what's happening in the outside world.

This reminded me of the Capricorn/Cancer polarity: honor your own inner compass, nurture it and bring your authentic self to the world with integrity and responsibility ;-) Of course, it also reminded me of Saturn in Sagittarius, and the questions it poses: What is true for me? What isn't?

This week's headline items:the last Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Tuesday evening. Saturn starts to slow down (station) on Thursday. Uranus comes to halt on Friday -- starting its 5-month retrograde phase (until Dec. 29th). On Saturday afternoon, the Balsamic Moon phase begins and Mercury moves from Leo to Virgo.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday very early morning (for a little over 9 hours), Thursday late morning (for 3 hours), and Saturday morning (for almost 9.5 hours).

Monday (July 25th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects.

Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately. Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find yourself foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.

Monday, late morning: we may need to make some adjustments and think outside the box... flexibility and adaptability is key! In the early afternoon, we get an opportunity to connect to others from the heart and have some lively conversations. In the evening, we feel brave, and ready to commit to a new adventure. That said, we will need to make some inner adjustments, if we are to feel good about those plans.

Tuesday (July 26th) at 2:19am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 9 hours, until 11:37am EDT. We might feel an electric, nervous, impulsive energy moving through our bodies at this time. This may cause restlessness; as best as you can, use this intuitive time to shake your body and connect with your inner genius (...what I like to call the inner freak-a-zoid).

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Tuesday ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday at 11:37am EDT, the Moon movesinto steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Thursday afternoon. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing right now? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-) This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (for which, read on...)

Tuesday evening at 7pm EDT, the last Quarter Moonin 4 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Taurus earlier today. The Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in self-expressed, proud Leo. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or transformation. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon (exact on Aug. 2nd).

During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be July 4th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-7 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Wednesday (July 27th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Wednesday early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:45am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Monday night on; it will be strong until Thursday night. This aspect supports a connection between our higher mind and our day-to-day mind. We are able to receive inspiration from higher places and maybe even look into the future. We are able to communicate our vision for a better future; insights arise from these communications.

Original, creative insights and ideas can appear out of nowhere; as best as you can, stay open to these unique "downloads" -- they might change how you see and proceed with life ;-) This is a good time to communicate online, engage in computer-related activities or scientific projects, and also for anything metaphysical. Group activities like Meetups are great things to be involved with right now -- especially if they allow us to share our vision for a better future.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Leo, Aries or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Wednesday morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 8:55am EDT. We started feeling this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Friday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

We might not trust our problem-solving abilities or ability to "read" other people; the anxiety this creates could cloud our decision-making process -- and could make us doubt our own reality.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Thursday (July 28th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 2:17pm EDT (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Thursday at 11:13am EDT, we enter a 3-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 2:17pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your drive for comfort and security with your desire to go deeper in your emotional connections to yourself and others. Any fears we face right now will bring us deeper intimacy -- and ultimately greater satisfaction -- in our intimate relationships.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your "lunch time" ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 2:17pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Saturday afternoon. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way... The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)

Also on Thursday, Saturn starts its station. "Stationing" is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky.

Where are you being asked to look at your beliefs and become more mature? What calls for a commitment towards a larger truth? What will time do?

As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. The station-phase will last until Aug. 26th; and Saturn goes direct -- after having been retrograde for almost 5-month -- on Aug. 13th in 10 degrees of Sagittarius.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 8-10 degrees of  Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this station. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn, since Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn.

Friday (July 29th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Wednesday afternoon for details).

Friday late afternoon, a challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 4:49pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on, it will be strong until Monday of next week. This aspectbrings some juicy energy to our conversations. This is a chance to have some discussions that have been long overdue.

As best as you can, make it a productive discussion that serves you and others -- a win-win -- otherwise you might feel really awful afterwards. As best as you can, seek to empower yourself and the other person. Also, watch out on the road for some crazy drivers… rushing might not necessarily get you there any faster ;-)

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in the following: 25-29 degrees of Leo, Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, or 0-1 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you may feel more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries)

Friday at 5:06pm EDT, Uranus comes to a halt in 24.5 degrees of Aries, and begins its 5-month retrograde phase. During the Uranus retrograde phase we are invited to access the Uranus energy from within. Our intuitions will be very strong during this time and we have access to sudden insights and ideas. This aspect gives us the opportunity to take a look to see how free we actually feel.

As best as you can, take a look in there at whatever has been thwarting your progress or sense of freedom: Where are the inner roadblocks popping up? Are you expressing your individuality to the fullest? Are you connecting to a larger vision?

Remember, doing the inner work is just as important as making progress in the outer world -- the "Inner Universe" informs the outer -- one cannot happen without the other ;-)

Again, some of us will feel the effects more than others. This is particularly true if you have personal planets in 22-27 degrees of Aries -- and if you have Aquarius as your Sun- or Rising-Sign. For you in particular, this is a great time to reevaluate future goals -- and perhaps to reexamine any group causes that you want to be a part of.

Saturday (July 30th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 5:09pm EDT (see Wednesday afternoon for details).

Saturday at 7:46am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 9.5 hours, until 5:09pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to share about your visions and dreams for a better future. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday day ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 2:18pm EDT, Mercury changes sigs fromprideful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Oct.7th — an unusually long time, due to Mercury’s retrograde phase that begins on Aug. 30th.For the next ten weeks, our thinking shifts gears: Mercury -- the energy of communication -- will focus more on the details.

With Mercury in Virgo, we are much more sharp in our thinking -- especially after Aug.12th (see Mercury/Neptune opposition exact next week Sunday). We are able to see things quite clearly and we are more inclined to put our energy towards taking care of day-to-day, practical matters.

Creating order in our daily lives and knowing what's coming next is easier for us now -- as opposed to going with the flow/being present/having faith that things will turn out well no matter what. We are better at organizing, writing lists, planning on a short-term scale, and doing errands at this time.

We may feel that we do things better than others right now; therefore we may not give others a chance to improve their skills or show us a different way of doing something. As best as you can, be of service to others, and remember that perfection is not a goal, it is a journey. How can you move towards improving things in your life, rather than having things be perfect all the time?

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini? If so, you may need to get more specific and discerning with your sharing/communicating and the information you are processing ;-)

Also on Saturday afternoon, the Balsamic Moon phase begins. This lasts until Tuesday afternoon, when the New Moon in Leo becomes exact (…more on that next week). We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Saturday at 5:09pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Monday evening. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Sunday (July 31st): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Saturday late afternoon for more details).

For most of the day, we are in a state of “flow” and emotional connection to others; spiritual and creative endeavors are favored. In the evening we may take an all-or-northing attitude toward others. As best as you can, take good care of your emotional and physical body; that way, you will be able to empower yourself and others, should this occur.

Sunday night/Monday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:09am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until next week Wednesday

This aspect brings a breath of fresh air to our relationships. We have an easier time expressing our uniqueness -- or you could also say: allowing our inner dork, geek, wacko or nerd to come out and play a little more freely. Whatever is in there, we are less afraid to be our authentic selves -- and group activities or shared interests with like-minded people can also be especially fulfilling at this time.

On a financial level, we may gravitate towards investing in the new and unusual -- space travel, radio/sound waves, computers, the internet -- anything like "futuristic" has a chance to be quite popular and in demand. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, because we're likely just "dabbling" -- so, all things being equal, this could potentially be a good couple of days for the stock market indexes :-)

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Leo, Aries or Sagittarius? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

A head's up for next Monday (August 1st): the Moon remains in protective, introverted Cancer all day (see Saturday late afternoon for more details). In the morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Chiron aspectbecomes exact at 4:30am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday early morning on; it will be strong until next week Tuesday

In the early afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 1:49pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday on; it will be strong until next week Thursday. At 9:12pm EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week seemed like a walk in the park in comparison to the week before. I could feel an urge to be physically active. However, I did have to balance that with work and resting. It felt very much like a healthy balance between the feminine and masculine energies was encouraged and easily obtained. Definitely connected to the Grand Trine in the Water signs...

One quick announcement before we get started with this week's forecast:
If you'd like to get in alignment with the aspects coming up in August, join me thisWednesday for the next MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM. I set out to make these monthly events a really great value for the participants; from the feedback I've been getting, it looks like that's happening -- and if you'd like to connect with me and get some answers, this is a great way to go -- it's also an inexpensive way of connecting with the upcoming energies out there and understanding how they link to your own chart as well.

If that sounds interesting, you have two options: Sign up to join the webinar live, or register to receive a video recording (mp4) within 24 hours of the live event. Other than booking a one-on-one reading with me, this is the maximum level of support I offer -- and it's only $24 for the full 90 minutes. Register Now!

This week's headline items: the Full Moon in Capricorn becomes exact on Tuesday evening, the Sun changes signs from Cancer to Leo on Friday morning, and the Uranus station intensifies on Saturday.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday evening (for a little over 4 hours), Thursday evening (just over 6.5 hours), and Sunday early morning (a little over 5.5 hours).

Monday (July 18th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late evening. We tend to be more realistic, serious, and cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and with it comes a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

The flip-side of this aspect is a tendency to "should on ourselves". Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-) The build-up towards the Full Moon in Capricorn is intensifying… I’ll have more to say on that in Tuesday’s entry.

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures. It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".

As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not?

Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 2:28am EDT (we started to feel this aspect from Sunday on and it will be strong until Wednesday). It will help to interact with integrity and commitment. We can set aside unrealistic views and make concrete, practical plans, that help us explore a larger truth.

We “get to the point” -- no wasted time or words. Seeking a larger understanding, we speak our truth, but temper it with adult caution and moderation. The reality of our beliefs gets clearer and our thought processes are more realistic. It is important for us to learn something new -- with a mature attitude.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn? If so, you will likely be more blessed by this aspect.

Tuesday (July 19th) is one of those days with lots going on, energetically speaking!

First of all: The Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 11:10pm EDT.

The entrance of the Moon into Capricorn this past Sunday afternoon started the energetic build up towards the Full Moon; on Tuesday at 6:57pm EDT that Full Moon becomes exact in almost 28 degrees of Capricorn -- in other words, the Moon in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn opposes the Sun in protective, feeling-oriented Cancer (I posted a video about this Full Moon last week -- click here to watch

For the next two weeks, we seek to balance and integrate opposite energies, being more aware than everthat something is out of alignment. The balance in question is between our inner experience (symbolized by Cancer) and our outer obligations or goals (Capricorn). It's important to realize that our long-term goals need attention -- and that they will bring fulfillment and inner stability.

Cancer and Capricorn are both receptive/feminine/yin energies, so we are clearly asked to go within before taking action. Cancer must recognize its own needs in order to feel internally stable, if we don’t manage this, we’ll give our power away to others.

Capricorn must therefore develop an internalized sense of authority and responsibility. This Full Moon asks us to look closely at the balance between taking care of ourselves, versus taking care of others -- and at who we are inside vs. what we project to the world -- how we portray ourselves.

These next two weeks could be very productive, depending on how well you integrate the Cancer/Capricorn polarity. As best as you can, avoid "should-ing" on yourself: Take the pressure off (try saying "I'm doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do")  ;-)

Uranus stations in Aries at the time of the Full Moon (and makes a square to it): Anything connected to Uranus's themes will be quite strongly in our awareness for the next three weeks -- breaking away from traditional structures, moving towards a new future that serves others as well as ourselves -- and we can confidently expect the unexpected.

Inner and outer freedoms will move to the forefront of discussions. We might have flashes of insight or new ideas about what needs to change in our lives. What might this be for you? Where do you feel the desire to break free? If "Freedom" were inside of you, where might it be? Where have you denied yourself permission to be free? Unique? Simply yourself?

With this much erratic energy moving through our bodies, we are best off staying in movement and "shaking it out". Rather than blindly doing our own thing, it will serve us now to focus on aligning our visions and desires with our partnerships, creating win-win scenarios wherever we can.

This also gives us the opportunity to look at how free we truly feel within our relationships. Are we expressing our individuality to the fullest? Are we connecting to a larger vision for our future? Is anything holding us back? As best as you can, share your ideas, and inspire others to share your vision of a better future: See who wants to come on board -- and look for how you can connect with other collaborators to make it happen.

With Uranus beginning its 5-month retrograde cycle on July 29th, we are invited to go within, and take a look at whatever in there has been thwarting our progress or sense of freedom. Where is the place inside of you that is throwing up the roadblocks?

Venus aligns with Mercury in Leo at the time of the Full Moon. This aspect supports communication and playful connection with others. We are capable of great generosity, joy and expression of our "inner child" (the aspect also supports our connection with the children in our lives).

Saturn, currently in Sagittarius (the ruler of Capricorn), trines Venus and Mercury in Leo. This allows for a more mature approach toward our "inner child". Ask yourself: What's my heart's desire? How might I more concretely and truthfully connect to it? What might be possible if I explored that in a meaningful way? What if I committed to that exploration and at the same time... allowed for it to unfold?

Chiron (in 25 degree of Pisces) makes a beautiful trine to the Sun in Cancer/Mars in Scorpio, and a sextile to the Moon in Capricorn. This combo allows us to bring healing and kindness to ourselves and our dealings with the outside world. As best as you can, be kind and gentle, compassionate and accepting of yourself; this will help balance the Cancer/Capricorn polarities.

Here are some coaching questions you can ask yourself: How does my inner life inform my outer? What if self-love and self-acceptance led to self-alignment? And if there's even a chance that this might be true... Is it worth trying 5% more self-acceptance as an experiment?

Feel free to also watch my last video about the New Moon in Cancer in regards to the Grand Trine in the Water-signs.

Once again, the message of a Full Moon is connected to our internal masculine/feminine balance: When those energies are balanced, we can be both powerful and kind... We honor ourselves (and others) and access head and heart.

Integrating oppositions brings limitless benefits. What if you are more than just one thing? What if you are many things at multiple times? What if you simply stopped identifying with who you think you are, and opened yourself up to a whole new way of being? A fuller, more complex, more integrated being? How might you show up in the world as such a being?

As best as you can, take responsibility for your thoughts and belief systems! They are yours -- and they create your reality. Other people/the outside world are essentially a reflection of those thoughts and "truths".

And of course, as always with Cancer and Capricorn involved: take baby-steps (or if you prefer: take it one day at a time ;-) Why would you sprint if you can get there at the perfect time by walking? (and you won't be out of breath when you arrive ;-) It's not about being the fastest person to get to the goal, it's about getting there without neglecting yourself.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point, or any personal planets in 25-29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries? Or your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer? If so, this month's Full Moon will likely have a stronger effect on you.

Also on Tuesday at 6:57pm EDT, just as the Full Moon becomes exact,we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 4 hours, until 11:10pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to integrate inner with outer. Tune in to see what your priorities and long-term goals look like. What's in alignment with who you are? What isn't?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan the first half of Tuesday ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday at 11:10pm EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Friday morning. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.

For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.

The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical.

Wednesday (July 20th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday morning, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 9:19am EDT. We started feeling this aspect build from Sunday on; it will be strong until Friday. This signals a time when we don't take connections with others lightly; we are more attracted to long-term commitment than to "casual".

We feel a strong sense of responsibility to loved ones and see ourselves generally as responsible and trustworthy. We have increased sensitivity to the needs of others. Mutual respect and loyalty become especially important to us at this time; this can strengthen and refresh old friendships too.

We bring more maturity, respect and integrity to interactions -- and this is a good time to approach "elders" and authority figures for their input. This doesn't have to be "solemn" though: What if you could connect playfully to yourself and others through your "inner adult"?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Today (Wednesday, July 20th) is also the last chance to register for my MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM! It starts at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT/11pm BST (London-time). Thursday (July 21st): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Thursday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 1:33pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday on; it will be strong until FridayThis aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

A lot of this discomfort centers around "unrealism" -- we tend to idealize romantic and financial interactions, but at the same time, our sense that we're doing exactly that leaves us uncomfortable. This applies to ourselves too; it's easy for us to incorrectly appraise who we are, and where we're going. We might also get confused when we can't complete things. The key is genuine self-acceptance (limitations and all): as we allow that, our range of love expression increases.

It's also worthwhile to look at how our ideas are received by others: Can we involve them in our dreams? As best as you can, slow down: "If a thing is worth having, it's worth waiting for." Just for right now, could you simply have faith that everything will align eventually?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-13 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Thursday at 9:56pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 6.5 hours, until 4:35am EDT (Friday early morning). We are experiencing two quite different needs, pulling us in different directions:

On the one hand, we feel a strong need to break the rules and move towards our future visions.

On the other hand, we want to connect to our inner experiences and do things that help us explore who we are deep down: face our fears, for example, or take a look at emotional attachments, addictions, or outdated behaviors. If you are awake during those 6 hours, do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan this Thursday evening and night ahead of time ;-)

Friday (July 22nd) at 4:35am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Sunday morning.

With this Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It's also a great time for releasing fears and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Friday at 5:30am EDT, the Sun changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer tofun-loving, extroverted, expressive Leo, where it will journey until Aug. 22nd. With the Sun in Leo, we are more inclined to connect to our heart and to follow our joy: it's a great time for gratitude, compliments, and playfulness.

In many ways, happy children embody the best of the Leo qualities: they are creative, playful, self-expressed and follow their hearts. Who could you be if you lived from your "inner child" more fully for the next four weeks?

If you have a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, this means strong vitality for you -- after all, for some of you, this is your birthday month ;-) Happy Birthday! <3

Saturday (July 23rd): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Friday early morning for details).

Also on Saturday, the Uranus station intensifies until Aug. 4th. It will come to a complete halt on July 29th in 24.5 degrees of Aries, and begin its 5-month retrograde phase. When an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced, and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet's energy picks up speed again around Aug. 12th.

Definitely expect the unexpected. Uranus is all about breaking away from traditional structures and moving towards a new future -- one that serves others as well as ourselves. Its keyword is "Freedom": this aspect provides an opportunity to discover how free we actually feel. So... how free do you feel? ;-)

As best as you can for the next three weeks, pull whatever is "in your face" even closer and take a good long look at it: our intuition will be very strong and deliver sudden insights and ideas, especially around what needs to change in our lives. What if you expressed your individuality to the fullest? What does the "larger vision" look like? Where is the obstacle?

Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet -- so don't be surprised by interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are likewise ruled by Uranus, so these will move more to the forefront of awareness.

As best as you can during this aspect, stay open and flexible, go with the flow -- and pay attention to messages from the Universe ;-)

Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Aquarius? Or perhaps your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-26 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you are more affected by this station.

Sunday (July 24th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 8:33am EDT (see Friday early morning for details).

Sunday at 3:06am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that lasts a little over 5.5 hours, until 8:33am EDT.

As best as you can, have a nice, intuitive, slow start to the day. Use this intuitive time to connect with others and yourself on a deep emotional level; focus on emotional authenticity -- this is a great time for very deep inner work.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your evening and Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 8:33am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Tuesday late morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects.

Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately. Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to accept advice or be disciplined at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.

Sunday late evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:57pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday morning on; it will be strong until Monday night. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

Fear of disappointment is causing some tension. Our inner need for growth requires honesty about what is causing those fears -- most likely our own lack of good boundaries and self-esteem. Watch out for getting pulled into overly burdensome roles in other people's lives, because you feel it is required of you, this can often be a path into "control issues".

As best as you can, carefully examine your motivations and self-image: How do you feel about your ability to love, be authentic with your feelings and connect on a deep emotional level? What role does fear play in all of this?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-17 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

A head's up for next Monday (July 25th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Sunday early morning -- and next week's forecast -- for details ;-)
