Personally, last week had a lot of forward movement -- that New Moon in Leo really created a big shift for me... lots of great conversation, connections and insights. Of course, the Uranus station contributed too :-)

This week's headline items: Venus changes signs from Gemini to Cancer on Monday late morning. On Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, Uranus comes to a halt, thereby starting its 5-month retrograde phase. On Friday Mercury starts to slow down (station), getting ready for its 3-week retrograde phase. Sunday morning sees the beginning of the build up towards the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius (it will be exact on Monday, Aug. 7th)

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (almost 25 hours), Thursday late afternoon (3 hours), and Sunday morning (almost 3 hours).

Monday (July 31st): The Moon remains in Scorpioall day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever... as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction -- it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It's therefore an excellent time to look at "old" fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity -- it's "in or out", "with us or against us", "love me or leave me". It can therefore be stormy -- a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we "work" the energies :-)

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward -- act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings -- no matter if they're "polite" or "timely". Feelings aren't facts, but they are information -- and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself -- and love thyself -- you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and that's ultimately what disempowers us and others. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact Sunday late morning).

Monday at 7:10am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 25 hours, until Tuesday at 8:01am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to focus on inner processes. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday all day and night ahead of time ;-)

Monday at 10:54am EDT, Venus changes signs from versatile, chatty & curious Gemini to protective, home & family-oriented Cancer. It will journey here until August 26th; for those 4 weeks, we value family, loved ones, our home, emotional safety -- and real-estate dealings.

We prefer to be around safe, familiar people and places. We'd rather stay home than socialize; if we do go out, we much prefer dinner parties at someone's home to dining out. When it comes to love, be gentle with each other -- and make sure to talk about your feelings.

With regards to our finances, it's best to stick to what feels safest and most secure. It's a favorable time for real-estate and interior design, or anything that makes the home more comfortable and livable.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more shy for the next 4 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to family and loved ones. If you are a Cancer Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life, for as long as Venus is in your sign ;-)

Tuesday (August 1st): The Moon remains in Scorpio and VoC until 8:01am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 8:01am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journeyuntil Thursday evening. We're strongly motivated to explore and learn. We're not likely to be big fans of routine -- diversity and new adventures work best at this time -- we're also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired -- but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we'd rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge -- just watch out you aren't overdoing or overstating things.

Wednesday (August 2nd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday early morning starts with lots of energy and a positive attitude.

Towards the late morning/mid-day, we may need to make some adjustments. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within.

You may also feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.

On Wednesday evening, we have the opportunity to explore our one-on-one relationships, have an adventure with someone, or do something that excites us.

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning at 1:31am EDT: Uranus comes to a halt in 28.5 degrees of Aries, and begins its 5-month retrograde phase (until January 1st, 2018). During the Uranus retrograde phase we are invited to access the Uranus energy from within. Our intuitions will be very strong during this time and we have access to sudden insights and ideas. This aspect has us asking "How free do I  actually feel?"

As best as you can, take a look in there at whatever has been thwarting your progress or sense of freedom: Where are the inner roadblocks popping up? Are you expressing your individuality to the fullest? Are you connecting to a larger vision?

Remember, doing the inner work is just as important as making progress in the outer world -- the "Inner Universe" informs the outer -- one cannot happen without the other ;-)

Again, some of us will feel the effects more than others. This is particularly true if you have personal planets in 26-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn, or 0-1 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius -- and if you have Aquarius as your Sun- or Rising-Sign. For you in particular, this is a great time to reevaluate future goals -- and perhaps to reexamine any group causes that you want to be a part of.

Thursday (August 3rd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seekingSagittariusuntil 8:37pm EDT(see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday at 5:38pm EDT, we enter a 3-hour Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts until 8:37pm EDT. Use this intuitive time for connecting to like-minded people and learning something new about your unique self. Here's a question to ponder: How wide could your vision for humanity become?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday late afternoon/evening ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 8:37pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Sunday morningWe tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures -- and those stories we tell ourselves about "what was", rather than what actually "is". It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".

As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not?

Friday (August 4th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornall day (see Thursday evening for details).

Friday mid-afternoon, the last of three challenging Jupiter/Pluto aspects becomes exact at 2:48pm EDT. This is a long-term aspect: we started to feel this aspect from July 14th on; it will remain strong until August 21st. The first exact aspect between Jupiter and Pluto was back in late November of 2016; the second Jupiter/Pluto square was in March/April of this year.

Think back to those times: what came up for you? What changes in perception did you experience? What were you able to release from your past that was holding you back from building an empowering future?

This aspect can pique our ambitions and sense of our capacity for achievement. But it might be a good idea to slow things down just a little -- we mean well, but are very likely to over-extend, or be overly optimistic.

Optimistic belief (and even blind faith) in others may cause us to take unnecessary risks that are out of alignment with our deepest desires -- and therefore not empowering for everyone involved.

That said, deep changes in our beliefs are now possible -- if we allow ourselves to let go of what's no longer working around our social structures or long-term goals. That could shift things for us -- both at the individual and social/collective levels. How have your beliefs shifted since 2007? Where did you have to let go of certain beliefs so you could feel more empowered?

We are at a turning point. Empowering others is key! Notice when you try to force your beliefs on others -- indeed, when you push too hard, in general -- the more we push, the more likely it becomes that life will push back! The fact is, humor and open-mindedness work better right now, as does connecting to whatever we feel truly passionate about.

There could be an element of disempowerment that creeps in, both with ourselves and others, so just be aware of that... It can also feel quite intense: between our long-term goals and our relationships, we could be stretched to the max. I highly recommend self-care during this time. Ask yourself: What does my "inner baby" need? How can I nurture it whilst still connecting with others or following my passions?

This is a closing square -- and as such, it is the last portion of the Jupiter/Pluto cycle that started in 28 degrees of Sagittarius back in Dec. 2007. What have you learned since then? In what ways has your perception of life expanded? What are some beliefs that are still asking to be transformed?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-21 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio or Sagittarius  (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio, Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Also on Friday, Mercury starts to slow down (“station”), preparing to come to a halt next week Saturday, August 12th (when it will begin its 3-week retrograde phase). More on that next week...

For the next 15 days (until August 19th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready or travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 8-12 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Saturday (August 5th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornall day (see Thursday evening for details).

Saturday early evening, a somewhat challenging Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 5:31pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect fromFriday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday. This aspect feels "internal" -- inner unease and awkwardness -- and we need to make a choice. Given that it is an internal issue, we need to develop an inner awareness, if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

Our energy tends to be unrealistically directed -- and our sense of self may actually change as we learn that we have wrongly assessed important situations. Our self-trust takes a hit.

Due to our high ideals, we may take on more than we can physically handle -- if we start to feel drained or frustrated, it might be helpful to look at the overall direction we are taking. Do your best to rest and have quiet time alongside your active play-time.

It's also worthwhile to look at how our self-expression is received by others: Can we involve them in creating/realizing our dreams? Can we express our joy fully? Perhaps we are not sure whether we want to keep dreaming our dream privately, or share it with others... As best as you can, slow down: where there is spaciousness, there is flow; where there is flow, there is effortless creation.

Do you have your Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-14 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules of Leo; Neptune rules Pisces)

Also, tomorrow (Sunday all day) and Monday before 6pm EDT, is your last chance to sign up for Monday's FORECASTING FORUM. Please note we willaddress the Eclipses in more detail in relationship to our own birth charts. If you want to know how they are going to impact you personally, join me live or sign up for the mp4-video presentation.

Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. To register now, click here

If you would like to join live, please keep in mind that registration will close an hour before the live event begins, if you register after 6pm EDT on Monday you will receive the mp4-video presentation of the webinar.

Sunday (August 6th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornuntil 8:15am EDT(see Thursday evening for details).

Sunday at 5:22am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 3 hours, until 8:15am EDT. If you are already awake during this intuitive time, you may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: On the one hand, a need for serious, diligent accomplishment -- and on the other, a desire to break free and rebel against obligations.

As best as you can, take some breaks, and "let your freak flag fly" -- just for a moment -- and revel in it! As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 8:15am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Tuesday early evening. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.

For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.

The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical.

This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Lunar Eclipse, a very powerful Full Moon (exact Monday afternoon). Click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video

A head's up for next Monday (August 7th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Sunday morning for details). At 2:11pm EDT, a Lunar Eclipse in 15 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact. Click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Conservation & Moderation -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., July 24th - Sun., July 30th, 2017

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was a lot more pleasant than the previous one :-) I still needed support and self-care (as we all do, always), but when Mars moved into Leo last Thursday, I could really feel a shift in my courage and liveliness. Could you feel it too?

This week's headline items: Mercury enters its shadow phase on Monday (when it also moves over the Solar Eclipse degree); on Tuesday evening, it changes signs from Leo to Virgo. The Uranus station intensifies on Thursday. The first Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Sunday late morning.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very early morning (for a little over 5 hours), Tuesday afternoon (for almost 20 hours), Thursday late evening (for 21.5 hours), and Sunday late morning (for 21 hours).

Monday (July 24th):The Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Tuesday morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-)

So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things... be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Since we just had a New Moon yesterday (Sunday am), you can set your Intentions today -- and feel free to watch my New Moon video for more info (if you haven't seen it yet)

Monday late morning, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 10:54am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening on; it will remain strong until this Friday. This might be a time of relationship tests or trials: we may not be attracting the things and people that we want in our lives -- at least, not as easily as we were before this transit.

This can be eye-opening -- a signal to work on improving the "ways" (as well as the "things") that we bring to partnerships or to our finances. Doubts could be raised now. But what's really required is that we slow things down and be realistic as we can possibly be.

We could be withdrawing or holding back a little, as we attempt to figure out what we want and need -- and what we can give. We are working towards ridding ourselves of self-delusion when it comes to partnerships, socializing and finances. In the process, we might feel disdain for inauthentic interactions and resent "going through the motions" on a social and/or mental level.

Our goal here is to make more connections aligned with our own truth. Relationships built on weak foundations may not survive, but stronger ones can be improved and strengthened. Financial matters might be stressful for the time being; this forces us into a position of conservation and moderation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this -- and on an external level with others.

Think back to late Oct./early Nov., 2016,when Venus was conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius. With Venus opposing Saturn now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then. So: What were the seeds? What are the fruits?

In other words: What has emerged since early November, in regards to who and what you value? We are also now more aware of what we have (and haven't) learned since then... Do you like what you see? Is there room for more learning, more integration?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-25 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Monday in the early afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:33pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday. This aspect supports a connection between our higher mind and our day-to-day mind. We are able to receive inspiration from higher places and maybe even look into the future. We are able to communicate our vision for a better future; insights arise from these communications.

Original, creative insights and ideas can appear out of nowhere; as best as you can, stay open to these unique "downloads" -- they might change how you see and proceed with life ;-)

This is a good time to communicate online, engage in computer-related activities or scientific projects, and also for anything metaphysical. Group activities like Meetups are great things to be involved with right now -- especially if they allow us to share our vision for a better future.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius or0-2 degrees of Virgo, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Monday mid-afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:20pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday evening on; it will remain strong until Tuesday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

We might not trust our problem-solving abilities or ability to "read" other people; the anxiety this creates could cloud our decision-making process -- and could make us doubt our own reality.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Pisces or 0-1 degrees of Virgo or Aries ? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Monday afternoon, Mercury enters a 3-week shadow phase, as it reaches 28 degrees and 26 minutes of Leo. This precedes the retrograde phase, which will begin on August 12th in 11.5 degrees of Virgo (more on that in 3 weeks). So what is the "shadow phase"? To explain this, I'll quickly cover what happens when a planet "stations" and then goes "retrograde".

Relative to us on Earth, a planet sometimes looks like it is slowing down ("stationing"), then stopping. After being still for a while, it actually appears to go "backward" through the sky (this is the "retrograde" phase). It's a little like catching up to a car on the highway, driving exactly alongside it for a moment, then passing it and pulling ahead.

At first, retrograde movement is slow, but the planet gradually reaches its normal pace through the sky -- except it's going backward. The process then reverses itself: the backward pace slows, the planet crawls to a "halt", then it starts to move forward again (i.e. it goes direct). In our car analogy, it's like the car you just passed gradually speeds up and passes you again.

There are also two "shadow" phases -- during these, the planet travels over a part of the sky it will later "revisit". The first "shadow" comes before the planet moves backward; the second comes when the planet starts to catch back up (after going direct).

It's like you went hiking and left something behind at camp. If you went back to get it, you'd have some catching up to do, and would see the same scenery twice or more.

Mercury's shadow phases usually last 2-3 weeks before and after the Retrograde phase.

If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items -- especially connected to transportation (cars, airline tickets, etc.) or communication devices (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) -- be aware of the shadow periods as well as the retrograde phases. If possible, get these things done before Mercury enters it's shadow or wait until after the shadow phases are over -- that would be Sept. 19th in this case ;-)

Of course, if there is something that must get done during these phases, don't put your whole life on hold, just because Mercury is retrograde or in it's shadow. Sometimes things line up exactly at the right time; as best as you can, trust that it's all "perfect" ;-)

And last but not least, on August 21st, the Solar Eclipse will occur in almost 29 degrees of Leo; on Monday evening around 6pm EDT, Mercury moves over that same degree. This might trigger some communications or thought patterns... Issues connected to joy, self-expression, or creativity will need to be addressed over the next 6 months.

The key here is to create awareness of two things: First, how can we receive more specific information around our Soul's journey and what's next for us?

Second: what additional information do we need to tap into, so that we can connect more fully to living from a place of joy? What messages are you receiving today that could bring more clarity?

Tuesday (July 25th):The Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 6:32am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 5:22am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over an hour, until 6:32am EDT. Use this intuitive time to have fun connecting from the heart — this could also be a great time to express yourself via the written word. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Tuesday at 6:32am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Thursday late morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Tuesday at 7:41pm EDT, Mercury changes signs fromprideful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until August 31st, and then again from Sept. 11th until the 30th — an unusually long time, due to Mercury’s retrograde phase that begins on Aug. 12th.

For the next 5 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: Mercury -- the energy of communication -- will focus more on the details, and on what could improve our lives.

With Mercury in Virgo, we are much more sharp in our thinking. We are able to see things quite clearly and we are more inclined to put our energy towards taking care of day-to-day, practical matters -- except for when Mercury opposes Neptune: around the time of Mercury's station (Aug. 10th-14th) and then again when it becomes exact around Sept. 19th.

Creating order in our daily lives and knowing what's coming next is easier for us now -- as opposed to going with the flow/being present/having faith that things will turn out well no matter what. We are better at organizing, writing lists, planning on a short-term scale, and doing errands at this time.

We may feel that we do things better than others right now; therefore we may not give others a chance to improve their skills or show us a different way of doing something.

As best as you can, be of service to others, and remember that perfection is not a goal, it is a journey. How can you move towards improving things in your life, rather than having things be perfect all the time? Could you bring a neutral discernment to what works and what doesn't?

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini? If so, you may need to get more specific and discerning with your sharing/communicating and the information you are processing ;-)

Wednesday (July 26th):the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday evening, a Sun/Mars alignment in 3.5 degrees of Leo becomes exact at 8:57pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday evening on; it will remain strong until this Saturday. This alignment brings a lot of energy to our projects/goals and our personal self-expression. We feel more confident and capable to accomplish anything brand-new; we are also more excited to tackling something challenging.

Being active and taking action comes quite easily and naturally with this combo. One thing to watch out for: we have the tendency now to be burning the candle on both ends; which could lead to exhaustion and physical burn-out.

This is a great time to start new projects that are connected to our physical bodies, our creativity, children, or our passions; anything that requires inspirational leadership and taking heartfelt actions is a perfect match for this alignment as well.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 0-7 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this alignment more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars rules Aries).

Thursday (July 27th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 11:37am EDT(see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday at 2:31am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 9 hours, until 11:37am EDT. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

We likely will feel drawn to sharing ourselves, learning new things and connecting with others; on the other hand, we feel a need to organize daily routines or pay more attention to our health.

Do your best to find a balance between these two ways and, as always with a Moon VoC, don't start anything brand-new. Instead, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow; you may also want to plan Thursday morning ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 11:37am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, whereit will journey until Saturday evening. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Also on Thursday, the Uranus station intensifies until Aug. 9th.It will come to a complete halt on Aug. 3rd in 28.5 degrees of Aries, and begin its 5-month retrograde phase. When an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced, and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet's energy picks up speed again around Aug. 15th.

Definitely expect the unexpected. Uranus is all about breaking away from traditional structures and moving towards a new future -- one that serves others as well as ourselves. Its keyword is "Freedom": this aspect provides an opportunity to discover how free we actually feel. So... how free do you feel? ;-)

As best as you can for the next three weeks, pull whatever is "in your face" even closer and take a good long look at it: our intuition will be very strong and deliver sudden insights and ideas, especially around what needs to change in our lives. What if you expressed your individuality to the fullest? What does the "larger vision" look like? Where is the obstacle?

Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet -- so don't be surprised by interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are likewise ruled by Uranus, so these will move more to the forefront of awareness.

As best as you can during this aspect, stay open and flexible, go with the flow -- and pay attention to messages from the Universe ;-)

Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Aquarius? Or perhaps your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer or 0-1 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this station.

Friday (July 28th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Thursday late morning for details).

Friday early afternoon: we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet? From the late afternoon until the early evening, we have an opportunity to connect with others, collaborate and explore great truths.

Friday evening, we may need to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand we need to collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, we feel a deep desire to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.

Saturday (July 29th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 8:23pm EDT (see Thursday late morning for details).

Saturday at 5:30pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 3 hours, until 8:23pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for equal and harmonious connections with your drive toward personal passions and a healthy "self-relationship".

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday late afternoon and evening ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 8:23pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Tuesday morning.

Sunday (July 30th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday evening for details).

Sunday very early morning, a challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:45am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until Wednesday. This aspect asks us to stretch past injuries and insecurities in our relationships, self-worth and finances. If we can bring compassion and a different point of view to these issues, we will reach a new understanding of ourselves and our life journey.

We have the opportunity to learn from one another; ironically though, we may also feel insecure around others. Whenever Chiron is involved, we are being asked to do some healing work. As best as you can, use this time to learn about your sore spots. Nobody is perfect: we all have our flaws and idiosyncrasies. It's ok.

If you get triggered by someone, as best as you can, take it as an opportunity to see where this trigger originated -- probably in your childhood. Bring love and compassion to yourself, as you are, and as you were (i.e. your "wounded child"). Allow any feelings this may stir up in you. A feeling is just energy that wants to be experienced, and honored; it wants to move through us and out.
The more we resist our feelings, the more we keep them spinning in place. As best as you can, move from the head to the heart. What might change, if you showed 5% more compassion toward your inner wounded child? What if you just decided to have faith in the healing process?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 25-29 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo or0-1 degree of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn or Libra? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Sunday early morning, an opportune Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 4:04am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Tuesday. This gives us the opportunity to experiment with how we relate to others -- to do something different or unusual -- freedom plays a big part in this aspect.

Of course, others are experimenting too, so you might experience some unusual or unexpected interactions during this time -- it's a favorable time for social meetings and events. As best as you can, stay open and flexible: fresh air is blowing through your relationships.

We're also ready to experiment with our financial undertakings -- good places to look: all things "tech" (electronics, technology, internet); metaphysics; the arts; group activities. This is not the best time to make long-term financial investments, unless you had an intuitive flash ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius, Leo or in 0 degrees of Cancer, Taurus, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, Uranus rules Aquarius).

Sunday at 11:23am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 7.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. We start to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Scorpio on Saturday evening. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing, intensely-feeling, private Scorpio makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in fun-loving, extroverted, attention-seeking, proud Leo

We feel compelled to take action. Last week, on July 23rd, the New Moon in Leo became exact: "Seeds" planted then are probably "sprouting" by now -- and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 5-10 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus or Aquarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

A head's up for next Monday (July 31st): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday evening for details). At 7:10am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts almost 25 hours, until Tuesday at 8:01am EDT, and at 10:54am EDT, Venus changes signs from Gemini to Canceruntil August 26th. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

This week's headline items: Uranus starts to slow down ("station") on Wednesday; Mars changes signs from Cancer to Leo on Thursday morning; the Sun will follow Mars's footsteps into Leo on Saturday (late in the morning); the New Moon in Leo becomes exact on Sunday early morning, starting Eclipse season.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday very early morning (for almost 1.5 hours), Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for 23 minutes), and Sunday very early morning (for 2.5 hours).

Monday (July 17th) at 1:04am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Wednesday very early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-)

Monday late morning, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 10:33am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening on; it will remain strong until this Thursday. We can be confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money -- so it's best to wait until the transit is over, before making big moves in these areas -- if you make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships, it's likely you will not see things as they truly are.

We are actually being asked to have faith; to let our intuition guide us in money and love -- if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 5 days -- it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 11-17 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius  or  Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Monday evening, a challenging Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:37pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday on; it will remain strong until this Saturday. This aspect asks us to get in touch with our desires and break away from anything that is holding us back. Passions and anger that we may not even know we had may emerge at this time.

Uranus urges us to let go and express ourselves more fully. We may feel restless and impatient; we can be very demanding and difficult to please. We tend to feel like progress is too slow and we are tired of waiting. This could be an explosive time, as our inner rebel issues  emotional challenges, while outer "reality" demands we change course.

On the other hand, if you are the kind of person that doesn't go in for asserting themselves, this is an excellent time to try it out ;-) Do your best not to burn all your bridges, especially with any males in your family or at home. We may also experience an awakening of sorts in regards to our sexuality.

Accidents are unusually likely (though not inevitable), especially if our levels of activity and energy are erratic; to prevent this, stay as grounded as possible and keep breathing! Flexibility and open-mindedness is always helpful... but is especially important now.

Ask yourself: How might I channel this restless energy into projects that are asking for progress? How might I channel, or just burn off, all this impulsive energy? What kind of exercise might be an energetic match? Where am I stagnating? Where am I able to take innovative action?

Do you have your Ascendant or personal planets in 25-29 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Libra, Capricorn, or 0-2 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Tuesday (July 18th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Monday very early morning for details).

Tuesday morning, a harmonious Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 9:22am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Wednesday evening on;  it will remain strong until Thursday. This gives us a chance to learn to accept our desire and anger as valid -- so that when we express them, we do so naturally and confidently, without harming ourselves or others -- simply allowing ourselves to feel anger and talk about it, just as we would about joy.

What if you brought understanding and compassion to anger or assertiveness? What if your desires were valid?

We may also develop a strong sense of mission that can carry us through obstacles. We'd like to team up with others to fight injustice, purge something "unclean" from the world, or simply bring healing where we believe it's needed.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio, or 0-1 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? Or perhaps your Ascendant or Sun-sign is in Aries? If so, you are especially blessed by this aspect.

Tuesday late afternoon, a harmonious Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 4:09pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday evening on;  it will remain strong until this Friday. Harmony and goodwill reign under this influence. We experience expansive feelings in love and a feeling that anything is possible if we set our sights high enough.

We are more likely to be friendly, open, and optimistic -- it's a great time for winning people's trust, making it much easier to make social contacts. We believe in our relationships and we have faith that all is going to work out for the best.

We might feel an urge to connect to people from other countries or foreign cultures, just to have an adventure, or widen our horizons. Financially, there might be a tendency to spend more than usual, as we feel confident that an abundance of resources is available to us. The thing to watch out for is the feeling that we don't have to actually do anything to "cash in".

That said, there are plenty of opportunities to be had, financial and otherwise, especially in connection with teaching, learning, writing or anything that involves sharing information. Transportation, short trips, selling, educational businesses or endeavors and the travel industry are also highlighted ;-)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Gemini, Libra or Aquarius? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Wednesday (July 19th): The Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 3:31am EDT (see Monday morning for details).

Wednesday very early morning, at 2:11am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 1.5 hours, until 3:31am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to take actions in alignment with your values, or that simply connect you to loved ones. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Wednesday at 3:31am EDTthe Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will be until Friday very early morning. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way... The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)

Wednesday mid-afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 3:16pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on;  it will remain strong until Friday. It will help to interact with integrity and commitment. We can set aside unrealistic views and make concrete, practical plans, that help us explore a larger truth.

We “get to the point” -- no wasted time or words. Seeking a larger understanding, we speak our truth, but temper it with adult caution and moderation. The reality of our beliefs gets clearer and our thought processes are more realistic. It is important for us to learn something new -- with a mature attitude.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-25 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn? If so, you will likely be more blessed by this aspect.

Also on Wednesday: Uranus starts to slow down (stations). It will come to a halt on in 28.5 degrees of Aries (on Aug. 3rd) -- starting its 5-month retrograde phase. Uranus will move more slowly for almost four weeks between now and Aug. 15th, anything connected to its energy will come into our awareness quite strongly: We have to face what this planet is trying to communicate to us.

Uranus's themes: breaking away from traditional structures, moving towards a new future that serves others as well as ourselves -- and we can confidently expect the unexpected. Inner and outer freedoms will move to the forefront of discussions. We might have flashes of insight or new ideas about what needs to change in our lives.

What might this be for you? Where do you feel the desire to break free? If "Freedom" were inside of you, where might it be? Where have you denied yourself permission to be free? Unique? Simply yourself?

With this much erratic energy moving through our bodies, we are best off staying in movement and "shaking it out". Rather than blindly doing our own thing, it will serve us now to focus on aligning our visions and desires with our partnerships, creating win-win scenarios wherever we can.

This also gives us the opportunity to look at how free we truly feel within our relationships. Are we expressing our individuality to the fullest? Are we connecting to a larger vision for our future? Is anything holding us back? As best as you can, share your ideas, and inspire others to share your vision of a better future: See who wants to come on board -- and look for how you can connect with other collaborators to make it happen..

Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet, so don't be surprised if you experience some interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are also ruled by Uranus, so these too will be more at the forefront of awareness. As best as you can, stay open and flexible, go with the flow -- and pay attention to those messages from the Universe ;-)

Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Aquarius? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer or 0-1 degree of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you are more affected by this station.

Thursday (July 20th): Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Wednesday early morning for details).

Thursday morning, the Balsamic Moon phase begins, when the Moon reaches almost 16 degrees of Gemini. This lasts until Sunday early morning, when the New Moon in Leo becomes exact (more on that later in the week...) We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch.

As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes. This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Thursday at 8:19am EDT, Mars changes signs from protective, emotional, safety-oriented Cancer to fun-loving, risk-taking Leo, where it will journey until Sept. 5th. This is a particularly vital position for Mars.

For these next six and a half weeks we will feel a strong need to create in some way. Passions tend to run high, as do desire, will, enthusiasm -- and our appetite for risk.

Our ego is tied up with our actions -- anything we do becomes a source of great pride -- and tempts us to "prideful" positioning. If we can move forward on our personal goals, especially those in alignment with our heart, we could become inspirational leaders.

If you have an Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to feel more fun-loving and competitive; it likely will be a more active time in your life. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 6.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project with your children (or your inner child) might be advisable.

Thursday evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 8:17pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on;  it will remain strong until Friday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

Fear of disappointment is causing some tension. Our inner need for growth requires honesty about what is causing those fears -- most likely our own lack of good boundaries and self-esteem. Watch out for getting pulled into overly burdensome roles in other people's lives, because you feel it is required of you, this can often be a path into "control issues".

As best as you can, carefully examine your motivations and self-image: How do you feel about your ability to communicate, share yourself and connect on a deep emotional level? What role does fear play in all of this?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-18 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Thursday evening, a challenging Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 8:26pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on;  it will remain strong until Saturday. Disrupted routines and plans, especially around home and family, are quite likely; this calls for flexibility and creative solutions.

During this transit, we feel a great need to make progress, as we feel quite restless -- maybe even anxious -- but if we're unclear on what actions are in our best interest, we might act in ways that don't serve us in the long run.

As best as you can, go with the flow and stay open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected; if you can, put off making major decisions for the time being... "haste makes waste" during this aspect ;-)

You can think of this as "reorganizing" time -- like rearranging your furniture -- try not to resist the reorganization. Enjoy the ride… and remember: it only feels uncomfortable because it’s new and different. Could you allow yourself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Libra, Capricorn or0-1 degrees Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or Scorpio? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Friday (July 21st): Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 4:09am EDT (see Wednesday early morning for details).

Thursday night/Friday very early morning at 1:41am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 23 minutes, until 2:03am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it as an opportunity to connect with others, exchange information, and move personal projects forward. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Friday evening, a harmonious Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:25am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on;  it will remain strong until Saturday. This creates a supportive environment for healing our insecurities.

We can bring greater awareness to our feelings of shame and any self-deprecating thoughts or behaviors. Paradoxically, we have the chance to shine, largely because we project self-respect and modesty. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths. Where might this be true for you?

Something else that supports healing our insecurity is a sense of pursuing a worthy goal -- this could be something as simple as a desire to learn and grow -- and our goal-orientation helps us overcome any problems that arise while we're on our "mission".

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio or 0-1 degrees Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (as the Sun rules Leo)

Friday at 4:09am EDT,the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Sunday very early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Saturday (July 22nd): The Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Friday early morning for details).

Saturday at 11:15am EDT, the Sun changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer tofun-loving, extroverted, expressive Leo, where it will journey until Aug. 22nd. With the Sun in Leo, we are more inclined to connect to our heart and to follow our joy: it's a great time for gratitude, compliments, and playfulness.

In many ways, happy children embody the best of the Leo qualities: they are creative, playful, self-expressed and follow their hearts. Who could you be if you lived from your "inner child" more fully for the next four weeks?

If you have a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, this means strong vitality for you -- after all, for some of you, this is your birthday month ;-) Happy Birthday! <3

Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, at 2:05am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 2.5 hours, until 4:34am EDT (Sunday morning). If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make adjustments and (as best as you can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.

Make space both for going after personal projects that you feel passionate about and for taking care of emotional or family issues. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Sunday (July 23rd): The Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer and VoC until 4:34am EDT (see Friday early morning and Saturday night for details).

Sunday at 4:34am EDT,the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Tuesday morning.

Sunday at 5:46am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 1 degree of Leo -- in other words, the New Moon will be exact.  Interestingly, this is actually the first of two New Moons in Leo within the next four weeks -- the second one will be the Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 21st.

This New Moon is therefore not only the beginning of a Moon cycle, it also signals the start of Eclipse season, which runs until Sept. 6th --I recommend you also watch my New Moon video on the subject (will be posted by Monday evening)

Eclipses are Uranian in nature, and thus times of uncertainty, so anything could happen between now and Sept. 6th. It is important to remember that Eclipses open a door to the next level of our Soul's evolution — and their placement relative to our birth charts tells us which areas of our life will be most affected.

As best as you can, stay both grounded and flexible — and don't jump the gun: If you feel compelled to do something, do your best to simply observe the urge, rather than acting on it. The exception might be something that just happens organically -- but if you are even a little ambivalent about a possible action, better hold off at least until Eclipse Season ends on Sept. 6th.

Eclipses bring major endings and beginnings. As best you can, trust that whatever is leaving is making space for something better — I say “as best as you can”, because the more willing we are to allow for change to take place, the easier it will be.

That said, projects and interactions that got underway prior to Eclipse season (i.e. before July 23rd) are another matter -- don’t stop your life just because it is Eclipse season ;-)

I will also talk about the upcoming Eclipses in more detail in my next Forecasting Forum. If you want to know how the Eclipses are going to impact you personally, feel free to join us -- we will apply what's coming up to our own birth charts. The Forum will be on Aug. 7th at 7pm EDT/4pm PT — for more info, click here

Ok, let's dive a little deeper here: The New Moon in fun-loving, extroverted, expressive Leo has us looking for heartfelt experiences. It's important for us to express ourselves, to learn about love -- and about how those things work together to gift us the power of creating from the heart, from a place of joy.

Think about the keywords for this self-expressed fire sign: “proud, generous, hospitable, caring, warm, authoritative, active, open, fun-loving”... How could you live into those words?

Leo is ruled by the Sun, symbol of consciousness and the unique light we came to shine forth in this lifetime. This is what we were born to explore, and in particular to express... Where could you shine your unique light more brightly? What brings you joy? Not just in general... but in this very moment?

Leo also represents our creativity. There are as many ways to be creative and self-expressed as there are "selves" -- indeed, we are all creators -- we create with every thought, every word and every action.

Creativity requires innocence, curiosity, courage and play. To live it out, we must tap into the unique spark inside of us in a joyful way. We also need to allow ourselves the freedom to make mistakes: Creativity thrives on love and permission; it is stifled by judgment and fear.

Take a moment to contact your "free inner child" -- that place inside that is ready to play and create. What might that inner child need, to come out and play? If you aren't sure, there's no need to guess: Try asking it gently and directly...

Mars and Mercury are currently also moving through Leo adding more weight to the Leo-energies. As Mars aligns with the New Moon in Leo, it encourages us to be more aware of our masculine energies: assertion, passion, courage, vitality, etc. What if we were able to access these energies at their highest vibrations?

This combo encourages us to go after things that align with our heart, and to engage playfully in joyful activity; we also get an opportunity to engage with our ”inner child” (and children in general).

You might say this builds on an earlier question: What brings me joy? Not just in general... but in every moment of now? What drains my vitality? What energizes me?

What have I always wanted to do? Who have I always wanted to be? What if, just for right now, just as an experiment, I met life with a courageously open heart?

The New Moon, because it is in such an early degree of Leo, trines Chiron in Pisces and squares Uranus in Aries. Chiron brings in a beautiful ability to heal our Self-expression and masculine energies.

Ask yourself: How might I help the collective healing of the world with my actions and my courageous heart? How might that help my own healing?

So, that’s Chiron’s contribution to this aspect -- now let's talk about Uranus for a moment: This aspect invites us to stretch and grow when it comes to our individuation process. To bring this home, ask yourself these questions:

How unique do I allow myself to be? Where do I stop myself from passionately stepping into my unique self? Could I give myself permission to let my "freak flag" fly? What if I lived life without apologies?

Mercury aligns with the North Node in Leo and trines Saturn in Sagittarius: We are able now to bring maturity and responsibility to our communications and internal thought structures. We are ready to commit to our own happiness and to take a playful approach to life.

For the next two weeks, I invite you to pause occasionally and ask yourself these questions: What thoughts make me happy and communicate my maturity? How can I express my joy in a responsible way? How can I engage others in a joyful dialog that aligns with my inner truth?

To sum it all up: This New Moon invites us to reconnect to what lights us up, to what we love, and to how we want to express that in the world. This New Moon also wants us to experience joy that is supported by the framework of self-responsibility.

It also invites us to tap into our healthy masculine by acting from an authentic place and coming from the heart in every moment. What might it feel like to create, not for the sake of achievement or gain, but out of love, joy and fun? Feel free to watch my New Moon video for a fuller discussion on the subject (will be posted by Monday evening)

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 0-3 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 28-29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? Or do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer? This New Moon may feel stronger to you...

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month's Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 5:46am EDT Sunday morning (July 23rd) and Tuesday morning (July 25th) at 5:22am EDT -- New York-time.

*******************************************
A head's up for next Monday (July 24th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leoall day(see Sunday early morning for details)Late morning, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 10:54am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday evening on; it will remain strong until the following Friday.

In the early afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:33pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening on; it will remain strong until Wednesday.

Mid-afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:20pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday evening on; it will remain strong until Tuesday. And last but not least, Mercury enters its shadow phasewhen it reaches 28 degrees of Leo. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
