Backing from Unusual Sources -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Aug. 28th - Sun., Sept. 3rd, 2017

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

Last week was an interesting mix of energetic slow down, while sustaining my focus for long periods of time -- Saturn station, anyone? I could also definitely feel the energetic downloads from the Solar Eclipse and the relentless mind chatter from the Mercury retrograde...

This week's headline items: Mercury starts to slow down again on Monday (getting ready to end its retrograde phase). The first Quarter Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Tuesday early morning. Mercury re-enters Leo on Thursday and triggers the Solar Eclipse point for several days. Mars triggers the Eclipse point on Sunday late morning; also on Sunday, Saturn ends its station.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for a little over 10 hours), Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning (for 3.5 hours), and Saturday afternoon (for a little over 3.5 hours).

Monday (August 28th): the Moon remains inpassionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 3:48pm EDT. We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever... as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction -- it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It's therefore an excellent time to look at "old" fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity -- it's "in or out", "with us or against us", "love me or leave me". It can therefore be stormy -- a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we "work" the energies :-)

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward -- act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings -- no matter if they're "polite" or "timely". Feelings aren't facts, but they are information -- and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself -- and love thyself -- you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and that's ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Monday at 5:38am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 10 hours, until 3:48pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.Make space for fun activities as well as the need for deeper emotional bonding with others.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan most of Monday ahead of time ;-)

Monday at 3:48pm EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. We're strongly motivated to explore and learn. We're not likely to be big fans of routine -- diversity and new adventures work best at this time -- we're also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired -- but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we'd rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge -- just watch out you aren't overdoing or overstating things. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Tuesday early morning).

Also on Monday, Mercury starts to slow down (“station”), preparing to come to a halt next week Tuesday, Sept. 5th (when it will end its 3-week retrograde phase). More on that next week...

For the next 13 days (until Sept. 10th), Mercury moves slower than usual; we need to be patient with ourselves and others -- especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready or travel somewhere -- especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (For more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in in 0-2 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini , Sagittarius, or 27-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus,or Scorpio.

Tuesday (August 29th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday at 4:13am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 6 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. We started to feel this from the moment the Moon entered Sagittarius on Monday afternoon. The Moon in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo

We feel compelled to take action. Last week saw a powerful New Moon, which was also a Solar Eclipse (on Aug. 21st). If we set some intentions on Aug. 23rd, 24th or 25th, we are now ready to make some adjustments. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow -- and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

Remember that we are still in Eclipse season (until Sept. 6th) and therefore we don't have all the information we need to move brand-new projects forward yet. As best as you can, take it one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible/adaptable and find creative solutions in your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 4-8 degrees of Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini or Pisces? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Tuesday evening, we may need to make some adjustments. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within. You may feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself. Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces at 6pm EDT -- post for 4:30pm EDT

Wednesday (August 30th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday late morning: we experience two very different aspects, one after the other:the first asks us to slow down and take a look at the stories we tell ourselves on a daily basis.

The second of the two aspects brings an opportunity to explore one-on-one relationships, perhaps have an adventure with someone, or do something exciting.

Wednesday evening we will have lots of energy and a positive attitude towards life.

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning at 12:42am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 3.5 hours until 4:18am EDT on Thursday morning. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it for connecting to like-minded people and learning something new about your unique self. Here's a question to ponder: How wide could your vision for humanity become?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday very early morning ahead of time ;-)

Thursday (August 31st): the Moon remains in Sagittarius until 4:18am EDT (see Monday afternoon for details).

Thursday at 4:18am EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Saturday late afternoonWe tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid "should-ing" on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying "I am doing the best I can and that's all I can ever do" ;-)

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it's transiting through Sagittarius right now, making this a great time to explore limiting beliefs and bust through conditioned thought structures -- and those stories we tell ourselves about "what was", rather than what actually "is". It's also a great time to take a more serious look at the "meaning of life".

As best as you can, be authentic about your beliefs: Do they actually match your direct experience of life -- as it is for you now, rather than 5 or 10 years ago? What is true as of now? What is not?

Thursday at 11:28am EDT, Mercury re-enters attention-loving, self-expressed Leo. Mercury journeyed through Leo already between July 5th and 25th.Think back to that time: What did you communicate to others at that time? What came up in your dealings with others? How about with your inner dialog?

Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, it will leave detail-oriented, practical Virgo for 11 days and re-enter attention-loving, self-expressed Leo, where it will remain until Sept. 9th.

During this time, we are more expressive -- even theatrical -- and are also more convincing and persuasive, since we exude confidence when we speak or write.

Our mind is more able to connect to our heart, so we tend to feel generous and expressive. This is a great time for gratitude, compliments, connecting to your inner joy and being playful. The only thing that can come between you and your heart is pride; do your best not to put it there.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel the need for being self-expressed and playful more strongly. If you have a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you will be more chatty for the next 11 days.

Friday (September 1st): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornall day (see Thursday early morning for details).

Friday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Chiron aspectbecomes exact at 2:02am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

We might feel insecure about our heart's desires. What if you could simply allow yourself to be human and know that you are doing the best you can? What if everything had divine timing -- no matter how fast or slow?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)

Friday night: Mercury triggers the Eclipse point, as it moves over 28/29 degrees of Leo. Due to its station phase, it will remain close to the Eclipse degree for serval days.

Pay attention to any messages you get between now and Sept. 8th -- these could come through in conversations, books, song lyrics, etc. What resonates? What brings you the most joy? What enlivens your healthy inner child? What do you want to express? To create?

Saturday (September 2nd): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricornuntil 4:06pm EDT(see Thursday early morning for details).

Saturday morning, a harmonious Mars/Uranus aspectbecomes exact at 8:13am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Wednesday (Sept. 6th). This aspect signals a time when our energy level is much higher than usual -- among other effects, we may find we can work for long hours without fatigue, or feel "driven", especially in new and unusual directions.

It could be that we receive backing from unusual sources. In general, our efforts are successful and we scale new heights of originality. As best as you can, stay open to new and unexpected things. Highly recommended: Group activities, group causes and connecting to like-minded people from all over the world.

Do you have your Ascendant (or one or more personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, or 0-1 degree of Virgo, Taurus or Capricorn? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler Aries; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Saturday at 12:30pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 3.5 hours until 4:06pm EDT. You may be aware of two seemingly conflicting desires: On the one hand, a need for serious, diligent accomplishment -- and on the other, a desire to break free and rebel against obligations.

As best as you can, take some breaks, and "let your freak flag fly" -- just for a moment -- and revel in it! As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday afternoon ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 4:06pm EDT, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Tuesday very early morning. With this Moon placement, we often feel emotionally detached; when we do connect to our feelings, it's typically from a cerebral, intellectual place. We need a cause or project that resonates -- preferably one where we can connect with like-minded people.

For the next couple of days, we'll tend to be more eccentric or experimental; future-related issues like politics or education call to us now, as do unusual or even esoteric subjects like Astrology, UFOs... indeed anything from outer space. Our scientific approach to things leans on originality and ingenuity; we definitely love being unconventional.

The increased value we place on personal and emotional independence could make us come off as indifferent or cold in one-on-one interactions. That said, we can still be friendly and kind, provided we aren't pushed into doing something conventional or unethical.

Sunday (September 3rd): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinkingAquariusall day (see Saturday late afternoon for details).

Sunday early morning, a Mercury/Mars alignment in 28.5 degrees of Leobecomes exact at 5:38am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until Monday. This alignment might speed up our thinking (and possibly also our driving ;-)

We communicate with curiosity, enthusiasm and energy, especially when it has to do with sports, fun activities, games, risk-taking activities, creative engagements, children -- and anything connected to love and romance. We get to the very heart of a subject.

Something to be aware of: We may take things a little too personally. This defensiveness could make it challenging for others to engage in healthy dialogue with us. We may focus too much on ourselves and get attached to being "right" over being happy.

As best as you can, appreciate yourself, life and others -- and honor your heart. If you find yourself having impatient thoughts and behaviors, draw a deep breath into your lower belly and feel the the breath soothing your solar plexus, bringing you back to your center...

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or0-2 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries).

Sunday at 11:15am EDT: Mars triggers the Solar Eclipse point. Last week, on Aug. 21st, a Solar Eclipse occurred in almost 29 degrees of Leo. Mars moves over this same Eclipse degree.

Observe how this plays out for you today: What are you looking to do? What's next? What actions are you invited to take, that move you forward with your heart open and full of joy?

Also on Sunday, Saturn ends its station and resumes its normal pace through the sky. What has come up in the last three weeks around long-term goals? What's the plan? Now is a good time to move forward with any realizations we have had over the last four months.

We’ve done a lot of internal work on what we want to manifest in the real world and where we want to make moves responsibly and authentically; we now have a chance to bring this to the outside world.

If you are Capricorn Sun-sign our Rising-sign (Ascendant), you will probably feel relief and a sense that you are able to move forward more smoothly and effectively.

A head's up for nextMonday (September 4th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinkingAquariusall day (see Saturday late afternoon for details). More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week, for me, was a combination of being very focused and busy, while also feeling a deep inner struggle... a sense somewhat of isolation and separation... It was sobering and also a process of maturing. Of course: the Saturn station started last week!

Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
A Special Offer: for this month onlyget a FREE copy of the entire video-presentation of my most recent Forecasting Forum, when we looked directly at our own birth charts to see how the Eclipses affect each of us for the next 5.5 months.

This week's headline items: a powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Leo becomes exact on Monday afternoon. The Saturn station intensifies on Tuesday and the Sun changes signs from Leo to Virgo that evening. Wednesday afternoon is the best time to start setting our Eclipse Intentions. Saturn comes to a halt on Friday morning, starting to move direct again; and finally, Venus changes signs from Cancer to Leo on Friday night/Saturday very early morning.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday afternoon (for almost 2 hours), Wednesday late afternoon (5 hours), and Friday night/Saturday very early morning (a little over 3 hours).

Monday (August 21st): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leountil 4:25pm EDT. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-)

So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things... be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Monday very early morning, a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:22am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday (Aug. 17th) on; it will remain strong until this Thursday (Aug. 24th). This aspect connects us to a strong energy field -- physical and metaphysical. We feel alive, we want to create a better future for ourselves and others, and we want to have fun doing it. Watch out for messages from the Universe :-)

Originality and innovation come easy to us, as does connection with like-minded people. We can celebrate our idealism and unconventional approaches to life's challenges and and take advantage of them. What if you expressed what's unique about you without apologies -- maybe even with authenticity and pride? What might be possible with a bigger network of like-minded people?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 25-29 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, or 0-2 degrees of Virgo, Taurus or Capricorn? If so, you will feel more blessed by this planetary connection than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Monday at 2:30pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 2 hours until 4:25pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to slow down and tune in to the powerful downloads that are coming through right now. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday afternoon ahead of time ;-)

On Monday at 2:30pm EDT, the Moon will align with the Sun in almost 29 degrees of Leo -- this marks the beginning of both new Moon and Eclipse cycle. You may want to also watch my Solar Eclipse video

Eclipses take place approximately every six months; they are a time for clarifying and affirming our highest path. This particular Solar Eclipseis a totalSolar Eclipse that can be observed in a large part of the United States. It will bring a consciousness upgrade, and a shift that will unfold until the next Eclipse becomes exact in mid-Feb. 2018.

Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that end one 19-year cycle and begin another; they reveal new pathways and possibilities and grant us an opportunity to take what we have learned to the next level.

The Sun and Moon are also connected to one of the Moon Nodes -- in this case, the North Node -- and North Node Eclipses help us move towards a new exploration of an energy that promotes Soul-evolution.

The last North Node Solar Eclipse in almost 29 degrees of Leo took place on Aug. 21st, 1998. We are likely to experience a resonance between now and that time, 19 years ago — "resonant", rather than identical — so think back to late Summer, 1998: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important back then? If there were a call this time to take those priorities to the next level… Where would that next level find you?

If you're looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest a look at your Natal Chart: The House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life you're most ready to take to a new level of consciousness.

If that idea appeals, check out my 30-minute class, "How to Read My Birth Chart” -- you might also want to purchase the video of the most recent Forecasting Forum, where we looked directly at our own birth charts to see how this Solar Eclipse will affect each of us. Those of us who have natal planets within 5 degrees of the Eclipse will experience more dramatic changes than others ...

For this month only you can get a free copy of the entire webinar by signing up for the next two Forecasting Forums (Sept. & Oct.) in advance ;-) Click here to take advantage of that deal

With this extra-powerful New Moon in attention-loving, optimistic, courageous Leo, we have 5.5 months to learn about what brings us joy, and how we have been using our self-expression out there in the world. We can also expect to learn more about what it means to connect to our inner child, about our ability to create, and how we can fully enjoy those moments of creation.

This will also be a great time to begin new projects connected to creative self-expression, fun, taking a risk or being bold and colorful, the enjoyment of life, or projects involving children

This is actually the second of two New Moons in Leo within the last four weeks -- the first one was on July 23rd, and it started the entry into Eclipse season, which runs until Sept. 6th I recommend you also watch my New Moon in Leo video on the subject

Leo is ruled by the Sun, symbol of consciousness and the unique light we came to shine forth in this lifetime. This is what we were born to explore, and in particular to express... Where could you shine your unique light more brightly? What brings you joy? Not just in general... but in this very moment?

Of course, answering these questions is easier if you know where your Sun-sign is in your birth chart... What sign? What house? Again, if you are not clear on where your Sun-sign might be… feel free to check out my 30-minute class, "How to Read My Birth Chart” ;-)

Leo also represents our creativity. There are as many ways to be creative and self-expressed as there are "selves" -- indeed, we are all creators -- we create with every thought, every word and every action.

The Eclipse trines Uranus in Aries, Saturn in Sagittarius and quincunx Chiron in Pisces -- all of which are retrograde at the time of the Eclipse.

This Fire Grand Trine indicates that on an internal level we are getting ready to make a quantum leap forward. It’s much easier now to access maturity and responsibility in combination with ingenuity and courage. We are ready to commit to our own happiness and take a playful approach to life.

For the next 5.5 months, I invite you to pause occasionally and ask yourself these questions: What are my special talents? What is the ideal world that only I can see? How might my talents help bring it into being?

How can I express my joy in a responsible way? How can I engage others in joyful activities that align with my inner truth? What would strategic risk-taking look like?

The Quincunx to Chiron in Pisces indicates that we still need to make some inner adjustments around our personal and collective healing processes. What might true acceptance and kindness look like towards ourselves, others, and the world at large?

As Mars and the North Node also align with the Sun and Moon in Leo, we are encouraged to be more aware of our masculine energies: assertion, passion, courage, vitality, directness, etc. What if we were able to access these energies at their highest vibrations?

Ask yourself: What activities could I engage in that would underscore my confidence and challenge me at the same time?

This combo also encourages us both to be brave enough to go after things that align with our heart, and also to engage playfully in joyful activity, we also get an opportunity to engage with our ”inner child” (and children in general).

What have I always wanted to do? Who have I always wanted to be? How do I want to express myself, moving forward? What if, just for right now, just as an experiment, I met life with a courageously open heart?

Mercury is now retrograde in Virgo (its own sign)....until Sept. 5th. This also is an internal process — one that provides a chance to honor and re-organize our thoughts, working from the inside to the outside. It's time to rethink, retool, and release what no longer works. Our inner critic for one... Take time to investigate your own thought processes...

Ask yourself: What's not working smoothly in my life? What if I got really clear about that? What if I could release all judgment and bring a neutral approach to everything I observe and discover? Just for the next 15 days...

Mercury's retrograde phase will trigger the Eclipse point several times. The first time was on July 24th; because of its station phase in September, it will trigger the Eclipse point again, this time for much longer -- from Sept. 2nd until 7th. Pay attention to what comes up at that time! Those messages will be important for the coming 5.5 months...

Saturn in Sagittarius is exalted, due to it's station phasegoing direct soon after the Eclipse on Aug. 25th. As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations; Saturn says: understand the practical implications of your reality, and the consequences of your past actions!

Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, what subject would your personal “Earth class" be in, right now? What is showing up loud and clear? Where might you be asked to look at your beliefs? Stories? Expectations? Where are you asked to get more real about “what's so"? What calls for a commitment towards a larger truth? What role does "time" play in all of this? What might "realistic possibility" look like?

To sum it all up: This Eclipse invites us to reconnect to what lights us up, to what we love -- and to how we want to express that in the world. Even if there might be challenges along the way... it wants us to have the courage to choose a life of joy supported by the framework of self-responsibility.

It also invites us to tap into our healthy masculine by acting authentically and from the heart. What might it feel like to create, not for the sake of achievement or gain, but out of love, joy and fun?

As best as you can, allow yourself to be in a quiet, receptive state on the day of the Eclipse. Better yet, meditate on the days immediately before and after -- you could also take walks in nature, or engage in creative or spiritual endeavors — anything that supports going within and tapping into your inner divinity.

If, like most of us, you have other obligations, take 5-minute breaks here and there, if you possibly can -- get quiet and be with your higher self. I highly recommend checking out Krista's Solar Eclipse Meditation; she created this Guided Mediation specifically in connection with my video and coaching questions: www.Krista-Mitchell.com -- if you are curious about Krista and our collaboration, I say more about that in my Solar Eclipse video

As I have mentioned already in previous videos, Eclipses are Uranian in nature, and thus times of uncertainty -- so anything could happen between now and Sept. 6th. Allow for the new templates to download; stay centered and do your best to ground from within -- try using conscious breathing, flexibility -- and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional and mental body… And remember: this won't last forever -- in another two weeks, the downloads are complete ;-) Again, feel free to also watch my video on the subject

Now let’s talk “Intentions” :-)

The Solar Eclipse is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this Eclipse cycle — and remember, the cycle runs for 5.5 months. Solar Eclipse Intentions are best done 48 hours after the Eclipse becomes exact -- as we are downloading new templates at the time of an Eclipse -- and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

So, wait 48 hours before setting your intentions. On Wednesday, I’ll be talking about setting some powerful intentions, not just for the next month as is usual for a New Moon, but for the next 5.5 months -- and I'll give you the very best times for setting them.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in one of the following placements: 24-29 degrees ofLeo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 0-3 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? Or do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeoorCancer? This Eclipse may feel stronger to you... and may affect you more than it does others...

Monday at 4:25pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday evening; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Tuesday (August 22nd): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday late afternoon for details).

Tuesday morning, a harmonious Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 9:21am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday evening (Aug. 17th) on; it will remain strong until Saturday (Aug. 26th). This aspect brings more self-discipline, maturity, focus, purpose and self-motivation. We tend to be more practical than usual; our progress in most projects may be slow, but it will always be steady.

As you can imagine, this can be a very productive period. We are able to take responsibility for our beliefs and the stories we tell ourselves; we can bring that honesty to the world, walking our personal path with integrity and without apologies.

This is an especially favorable aspect for the self-employed, anyone who works in the sports industry (or any other physical/action-oriented industries, e.g. dance), leaders in the creative field, or the stock market.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Tuesday evening at 6:20pm EDT, the Sun changes signs from playful, vital Leo into practical, detail-oriented Virgo. It will journey through Virgo until September 22nd. This time is best used for getting our lives in order and expressing ourselves in realistic, practical terms.

Adressing your health (e.g., starting a new exercise or eating routine) might be just the thing within the next four weeks. Being of service and moving towards improving our living conditions are essential Virgo qualities. How might you be of service to others? What needs a little practical improvement?

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Virgo Sun-sign or Rising-sign. Virgo folks will feel extra confident and playful; Leo people are more aware of the details and more grounded in reality.

Also on Tuesday, the Saturn station intensifies until Aug. 30th."Stationing" is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more "exalted"; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.

Saturn has to do with doing what needs to be done -- so we can fully understand the practical implications of our reality, and the consequences of our past actions. Saturn also represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments and ability to "do" life, on life's terms.

As spirit beings in a physical world, it's best to observe the laws of the physical world. The sooner we learn to "play by the rules", the easier life gets.

Saturn also represents time and the "domain" of time: growing up, maturing, understanding our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious, focusing on building something of value to society... something with a healthy foundation, and a solid structure.

Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, what subject would your personal "earth class" be in, right now? Where are you asked to look at the belief structures you've built over time, to see if they apply to "what's so" right now? What might a mature approach to your stories about life look like? What calls for a commitment towards a larger truth? What will time do?

As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. The station-phase will last until Sept. 3rd; and Saturn goes direct -- after having been retrograde for 4.5-month -- on Aug. 25th in 21 degrees of Sagittarius (more on that later this week).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 19-23 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this station. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn, since Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn.

Wednesday (August 23rd): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 9:05pm EDT (see Monday late afternoon for details).

Wednesday after 2:30pm EDT, is also the best time to start setting our powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse Intentions. Like I already mentioned on Monday, with a Solar Eclipse it is best to wait 48 hours after the Eclipse has been exact before setting any intentions, as the energy of an Eclipse is quite intense and we want to wait until the energy settles before setting our intentions.

As always, we also want to avoid any Moon void of course (VoC) phases. So, this time around, the best and most potent time -- for setting our intentions -- is today (Wednesdayafternoonuntil 4pm EDT. If that span of time doesn’t work for you, wait until 9:05pm EDT — you’ll then have until 2:30pm EDT on Friday afternoon (Aug. 25th).

Make your Intentions powerful: They cover the next five-and-a-half months. If possible, align them with the Solar Eclipse energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the Solar Eclipse ;-)

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), feel free to join my facebook Fanpage or follow me on twitter. I will be posting reminders on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, to let you know when it is time to set your intentions ;-)

Wednesday at 4:02pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 5 hours until 9:05pm EDT. Use this intuitive period to be of service to loved ones, family members, or people you value.

Regular readers know the drill for Moon VoC: as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday late afternoon/evening ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday at 9:05pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Saturday very early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Thursday (August 24th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday evening for details).

Thursday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:00am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday. This heightens compassion and understanding and helps heal some wounds from the past.

We are more willing to be vulnerable, trusting that the other person has our best interest at heart; we also more easily see beauty in human weaknesses, rather than fault -- it's a strong time for seeing potential in one another. What potential do you see?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 24-29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces,Scorpio, or 0 degrees of Leo, Aries or Sagittarius? If so, you are more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Thursday mid-afternoon, a challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:01pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday evening. This "stretch aspect" asks us to grow beyond what we know and have experienced in the past in regards to our relationships, especially family relations.

Priorities may shift. We may experience clashes of taste or values with our loved ones; as you can imagine, we may feel some instability or restlessness in connection to others. We may also struggle with freedom versus material safety -- the latter manifesting as fears around financial goals.

As best as you can, take a deep breath and hold off on decision-making with regards to finances -- in particular, it is best to avoid impulse buys at this time.

In general, expect the unexpected: Things may take a different turn when it comes to the truly important. Keep your mind and heart open: if something demands elimination or change, it was waiting for that shift to happen anyway. As best as you can, find creative solutions and stay flexible and adaptable. This is not the best time to take things too personally (but then again, is there ever a good time for that? :-)

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, Libra, or 0-1 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or Scorpio ? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. The same is true for those with their Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Thursday all day: If you haven't gotten around to it yet, set your Intentions for this Eclipse cycle... Make your Intentions powerful: They cover the next five-and-a-half months. If possible, align them with the Solar Eclipse energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the Solar Eclipse ;-)

Friday (August 25th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday evening for details).

Friday at 8:08am EDT, Saturn comes to a haltin 21 degrees of Sagittarius, andbegins the process of turning direct -- after being retrograde for 4.5 months.

As best as you can during the course of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any sources of frustration. If you can also bring commitment and maturity to what you believe to be true about yourself, others and life, you will feel more grounded in reality.

Over the course of the past four-and-a-half months, we've had a change to reassess our limits and boundaries, reclaim our authority, and become more realistic and responsible. It’s time to move forward now -- and our progress will be in direct proportion to the amount of “inner work” we’ve done since early April.

Saturn represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments -- and also our ability to "do" life on life's terms. When this planet comes to a halt, we get to see where we need to create or renew commitments. It may also seem like our physical realities have come to a compete halt: Take a deep breath whenever you can, as often as you can (especially today and tomorrow).

Moving forward with our long-term goals will be easier now, as we have more clarity: We can integrate what we have learned over the past 4.5 months and more easily align our inner commitments and goals with the outer world.

Capricorns, Aquarians (whether by Sun-sign or Ascendent) and people with personal planets in 19-23 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Piscesor Virgo will feel a particularly strong sense of relief as Saturn starts to slowly gain speed.

Also on Friday: still time to set Intentionsuntil 2:30pm EDT... Make your Intentions powerful: They cover the next five-and-a-half months. If possible, align them with the Solar Eclipse energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the Solar Eclipse ;-)

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, at 12:30am EDT, Venus changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer to fun-loving, extroverted Leo, where it will journey until September 19th.

Venus in Leo changes how we "do" relationships. We're "in love with love", so we especially appreciate (and are turned on by) gestures of love and romance. It goes the other way, too: we are warm, affectionate and loyal with those we love and cherish (as long as they show us that they deserve our love). Grand gestures of love and exciting, tantalizing interactions work best. Lavish everyone with compliments (including yourself).

We also want to have fun and express our love for life... and what better way is there to do that than to throw a huge party for everyone we love? And if a "huge party" doesn't appeal, don't opt for the couch and the TV: get out there. It's a good time to take a chance!

"Taking a chance" applies to the financial realm too -- especially any ventures related to entertainment, children, sports or the stock market.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more outgoing and confident for the period Venus moves through Leo. Your heart will want to connect and be admired. Creative endeavors will feel satisfying to you. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.

Saturday (August 26th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 4:53am EDT (see Wednesday evening for details).

Saturday at 1:39am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 3 hours until 4:53am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to balance your need for equal and harmonious connections with your drive toward personal passions and a healthy "self-relationship".

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday very early morning ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 4:53am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Monday mid-afternoon.We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Saturday late afternoon, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 3 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 4:42pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Thursday. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.

As this alignment takes place in Virgo, we may be particularly judgmental, but it may not always serve us to to get stuck on details or insist on things being perfect.

We want an active role in communications -- it's very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now has impact, so as best as you can, choose your words wisely. If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are strong and our thinking independent -- and we're proud of both -- our egos may therefore get bruised if we don't feel "heard". As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinion and that's ok.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-6 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Sunday (August 27th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday early morning for details).

Sunday morning, a long-lasting, opportune Jupiter/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 8:15am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week Tuesday (August 15th) on; it will remain strong until September 7th. With this aspect, we have the opportunity to bring structure and a responsible attitude to our desire to grow and to expand.

We become more aware of opportunities, and can see the bigger picture; at the same time though, we also understand that there are limits to what we can accomplish. We are capable of establishing the perfect relationship between “looking beyond” and “staying grounded”.

We can also more easily understand that we don't need to rush in order to grow -- we are more likely to think things through carefully and responsibly -- in other words, to do our "due diligence". Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us, we have to "take" it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-23 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Capricorn (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

***************

A head's up for next Monday (August 28th): The Moon remains in Scorpio until 3:48pm EDT. Monday at 5:38am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 10 hours until 3:48pm EDT. At 3:48pm EDT, the Moon moves into Sagittarius, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact Tuesday early morning). Also on Monday, Mercury's station begins in 0-2 degrees of Virgo/28-29 degrees of Leo until September 10th. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Last week was, as expected, gnarly... we are definitely in the depth of Eclipse season :-) Getting a good night's rest seems to be more challenging right now, at least for me, which is very unusual (my husband can attest to that, I usually sleep like a rock :-)

I had to remind myself to practice self-care, which again, is unusual for me… but then, so much is downloading… I can really feel that Uranian energy moving through my body. I noticed that when I recorded my Solar Eclipse video, I was moving around quite a bit, couldn't sit still… :-)

Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
Since we will be in Eclipse season until Sept. 6th, I encourage you to watch my most recent Forecasting Forum, especially if you have planets within 5 degrees of the Eclipse points  -- we covered the Eclipses, including the upcoming Solar Eclipse in Leo

This week's headline items: the last Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Monday evening. Uranus ends its station phase on Tuesday, while Saturn starts its own on Wednesday -- preparing to start moving direct again after a 4-month retrograde phase. The Balsamic Moon phase begins on Friday late morning, Mercury ends its station phase on Saturday -- and Sunday is the last day before the total Solar Eclipse in Leo!

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for almost 13 hours), Thursday mid morning (for a little over 2.5 hours), and Saturday late morning (for a little over 2.5 hours).

Monday (August 14th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day. It will be there until Tuesday late morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-)This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact later in the evening).

Monday at 9:15pm EDT, the last Quarter Moonin 22.5 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this from the moment the Moon entered Taurus on Sunday morning. The Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in self-expressed, proud Leo. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or transformation. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon; which is also a Solar Eclipse! (exact on Aug. 21st).

During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be July 23rd -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-25 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Also at 9:15pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC) that lasts for almost 13 hours, until Tuesday at 10:06am EDT. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions to the seeming conflict between your needs around practical matters/finances, versus those around experiencing more joy and being more playful.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late evening/night and Tuesday early morning ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday (August 15th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus and VoC until 10:06am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday morning, a Venus/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 7:17am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday evening on; it will remain strong until Thursday. We are called to create a balance between our desire for harmony with people we care about, versus our desire to bring a deep focus and passionate approach to long-term commitments.

We can learn a lot about ourselves through relationships during this opposition. We may not altogether like what we see though, as we perhaps glimpse our "darker" side -- and it will be critical that we recognize it as our own "stuff", rather than projecting it onto a partner or family member. Sexual intensity can be a part of this transit too -- as can fear of losing loved ones or of being abandoned.

We have a deeply lodged need to establish a sense of self-worth at this time; we may start to argue or lay blame in order to feel better about ourselves. We need to be less concerned with how we "appear" to others and more with how we actually "are".

All of this could bring up deep feelings in connection with others. There also might be a tendency to confuse "Love" and "Power" right now; as best as you can, be true to yourself and come from an open heart, rather than a scared one. Ask yourself: What would "Love" do?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 14-20 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Tuesday at 10:06am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Thursday early afternoon. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way... The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)

Also on Tuesday: although it’s still retrograde, Uranus resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. What has come up in the last four weeks around radical change, personal freedom, and needing to individuate? How closely are you in touch with your personal vision for life? The retrograde phase is a good time to do some internal work in this area (retrograde ends on Jan. 2nd, 2018).

Wednesday (August 16th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Wednesday morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 6:37am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until Friday. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

As best as you can, evaluate any projects before getting involved; our great energy and genuine humanitarian spirit could feed other people's unrealistic expectations, leaving us feeling drained and unappreciated.

If we are able to reevaluate our everyday habits and inner dialog, we will see whether or not they really support our long term goals. If you have the choice, go deeper rather than faster -- empower yourself and others by thinking long-term, rather than tearing forward...

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-18 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Also on Wednesday, Saturn starts its station. "Stationing" is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky.

Saturn also represents time and the "domain" of time: growing up, maturing, understanding our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious and focused on building something of value to society.

Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, what would your personal "earth class" be in, right now? Where are you being asked to look at your beliefs and become more mature? What calls for a commitment towards a larger truth? What will time do?

As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. The station-phase will last until Sept. 3rd; and Saturn goes direct -- after having been retrograde for 4.5 months -- on Aug. 25th in 21 degrees of Sagittarius (more about that next week)

Thursday (August 17th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 12:13pm EDT (see Tuesday late morning for details).

Thursday very early morning, a challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 2:40am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until Saturday. This aspect asks that we question our most fundamental beliefs and conditioning around family values and how we view our relationships.

We have the opportunity here to grow beyond our understanding of what our values get us. Issues connected to love, relationships, and whatever is most valuable to us, can seem overwhelming at this time. This is because we have a tendency to overindulge or over-promise.

We mean well, because we are feeling quite optimistic at this time -- but we may underestimate how much time we actually have, or how good a fit something actually is. Overspending could be connected to this aspect as well (as could making assumptions in our relationships); as best as you can, bring a non-judgmental awareness to any such tendencies.

What are you observing about yourself and your relationships with others? What is enough... and what is too much?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-22 degrees of Cancer, Libra, Aries or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Thursday at 9:38am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 2.5 hours until 12:13pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others, exchange information, and move personal projects forward.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday late morning ahead of time ;-)

Thursday at 12:13pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Saturday afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Friday (August 18th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Thursday early afternoon for details).

Friday late morningthe Balsamic Moon phase beginswhen the Moon reaches 14 degrees of Cancer. This lasts until Monday afternoon, when the Solar Eclipse in Leo becomes exact (more on that next week...however, feel free to watch my video on the subject. We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition.

For some of us, this might be a stretch, especially since we are in Eclipse season. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Friday mid-afternoon, a somewhat challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 2:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until Saturday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward, and need to make a choice; we must develop inner awareness to see what needs adjusting.

It can be hard to see what we are actually responsible for in relationships, so we sometimes take on unnecessary responsibilities, to ensure the relationships continue. We may ask ourselves: "Do people like me for myself, or for what I do for them?" If you're confused on this point (or any point), as best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative and make adjustments as necessary.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-22 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Saturday (August 19th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 1:55pm EDT (see Thursday early afternoon for details).

Saturday at 11:17am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 2.5 hours until 1:55pm EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make adjustments and (as best as you can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.

Make space both for going after personal projects that you feel passionate about and for taking care of emotional or family issues. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday late morning/early afternoon ahead of time ;-)

Saturday at 1:55pm EDT, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Monday late afternoon.

Also on Saturday, Mercury ends its stationand gets back to its normal pace through the sky -- but moving backward through the sky, as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to).We have a chance to do some internal work on thinking and/or communication issues that came up over the last couple of weeks, in connection with our daily routines and our wellbeing.

Sunday (August 20th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving in Leo all day (see Saturday afternoon for details).

Sunday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Sun/Chiron aspectbecomes exact at 12:21pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday on; it will remain strong until Monday. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

During this time, we tend to feel less confident about our self-expression; this may cause us to duck important issues, which in turn may bring up shame or guilt. As best as you can, be kind and compassionate with yourself -- healing happens best when we allow ourselves to be exactly where we are, even if it's not where we prefer to be.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 27-29 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules of Leo)

Also on Sunday early afternoon, an opportune Mars/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 12:42pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Wednesday. This aspect is an opportunity for us to tap into our optimism, enthusiasm and sense of expansion. We are more likely to connect with others in an active and fun way.

We feel stronger, more assertive, and more straightforward -- and this goes over well with others. As with all opportunities in life, this one is not simply handed to us, we have to make something of it. What actions could you take right now, that would help create a "win-win"?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-22 degrees of Leo, Libra, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius)

Sunday is also the last day before the Solar Eclipse in Leo becomes exact. There is some potent energy coming our way; it would be wise to prepare ourselves to be transformed by it, allowing for our consciousness upgrade to be installed.

This is a good time to slow things down and go within. For many of us, this will be a stretch, as we want to do just the opposite: jump the gun, get started with something new, act impulsively, etc. This is quite common right before a Solar Eclipse. As best as you can, stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions and connect to your inner wisdom.

It comes down to this: just for now and just as best as you can... could you simply allow what is... to be? Could you simply be the “observer” until the upgrade is complete?

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing things. The last Solar Eclipse in Leo (in that particular degree) was in late August of 1998. Think back to that time (if you can :-) — what did you start around then? How could you complete it or move to the next level?

As best as you can, take the days immediately before and after the Eclipse for meditation, walks in nature, creative or spiritual endeavors — anything that supports going within and tapping into your inner divinity. Of course if, like most of us, you have other obligations: take 5 minute breaks here and there, if you possibly can, to get quiet and be with yourself (your intuitive/feeling Self). Feel free to also watch my video on the subject

A head's up for next Monday (August 21st): The Moon remains in Leo until 4:25pm EDT. Very early morning, a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:22am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until Wednesday. At 2:30pm EDT, a Solar Eclipse in almost 29 degrees of Leobecomes exact. Monday at 2:30pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 2 hours until 4:25pm EDT. At 4:25pm EDT, the Moon moves into Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

This week's headline items: a very powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius becomes exact on Monday afternoon; Mercury's station intensifies on Wednesday -- and comes to a halt, starting its 3-week retrograde phase, on Saturday evening.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday afternoon (for almost 3 hours), Thursday late morning (for almost 16 hours), and Sunday early morning (for a little over 2.5 hours).

Monday (August 7th): The Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Tuesday early evening.

Monday at 2:11pm EDT, an extra-powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse becomes exact in 15 degrees of Aquarius. The entrance of the Moon into Aquarius on Sunday morning started the energetic build up towards this extra-powerful Full Moon

Only once every six months do the Sun, Moon, and Earth align precisely enough for a Solar or Lunar Eclipse to occur. Eclipses are always powerfully connected to the Moon Nodes and thus our Soul's Journey. If you’d like to learn more about this month's Full Moon, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.

This is the first of two Eclipses within the next four weeks. As such, its energy is more intense than your typical Full Moon; given that it's happening in the Aquarius/Leo polarity, that intensity is all about becoming aware of dogmatic, rigid thinking and opening our heart chakras. As we do this, we can joyfully and actively participate in shaping a future that serves all humans, while supporting the healthy evolution of mankind and this planet.

I will talk about these upcoming Eclipses in more detail in my Forecasting Forum — if you want to know how the Eclipses might impact you personally, feel free to join us -- we will apply what's coming up, to our own birth charts. The Forum will be live only a couple of hours after the Lunar Eclipse becomes exact: Monday, Aug. 7that 4pm PDT/7pm EDT/midnight BST (London-time); for more info or to register, click here

Life-changing revelations are more likely over the next two weeks — and with them, shifts in our consciousness — and the impact of an Eclipse's energy also lasts longer than a regular Lunation (anywhere from 6 months to 2 years!)

This is the second Lunar Eclipse in a 23-month cycle of Eclipses, all connected to the Leo/Aquarius polarity; the cycle in question began in February 2017 with the Lunar Eclipse in Leo and will last until Jan. 2019.

Think back to February of this year: What started shifting for you, in your attitudes towards the collective, humanity, like-minded people? Was there likewise a shift in your desire for joy, self-expression and heartfelt actions?

Lunar Eclipses generally bring attention to our "emotional body” and our relationships; they also connect us more fully to our Soul’s journey (as shown by the Moon Nodes). This particular Eclipse focuses on the relationship between the individual (Leo) and the collective (Aquarius).

We become aware of what has been suppressed or ignored -- or, this being a South Node Eclipse, addressed, redefined and released -- in regards to the lower vibrations of the Aquarian energy.

The shadow side of Aquarius includes the feeling of being detached from our own life force, center, or personal creative process, while being overly attached to the mind and its functions: idealized visions, rigid thinking about the future. Headiness is likely and mind activity could be at an all time high.

A classic setup here would see us disconnecting from our inner joy moment-to-moment for the sake of improving our future, “humanity" or "the world at large".

Aquarius also deals with group-consciousness and group-mind. We might therefore shy away from standing out, because we fear rejection or ostracism; ask yourself (and be really honest with yourself here): Have you been hiding out on the sidelines? How have you avoided following your heart?

Leo symbolizes the expression of our own individual light, gifts, and inner divine spark. Aquarius, on the other hand, symbolizes the power of community and collaboration for bringing about a common vision -- where the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

To boil this down, you could say that Leo represents our individual self-expression, and Aquarius our vision for humankind. So how to achieve that balance? Might one contribute to the other?

Ask yourself: How can I shine my light with my heart fully pumping? What might be possible for humanity's future, if I contributed my joy and individual creative process to the collective? If I had to pick a team, what might it feel like to pick “Team Humanity"?

Let's also take a look at what Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius) is doing: Uranus is still stationing in Aries at the time of this powerful Full Moon; it is therefore exalted (even though it is already in retrograde motion). Uranus amplifies the call to make a radical break from old patterns or traditions.

Ask yourself: What has become stale and needs a new approach? What ideas and insights am I receiving that are pointing me in that direction?

Uranus trines the North Node in Leo; this represents our collective Soul's Journey at this time, showing us that every one of us can be an agent of change for a better future for all who dwell on this planet — and the good news is, we simply need to connect to our own talents and to what brings us joy — we become an active participant simply by bringing our own uniqueness and genius to the table.

Ask yourself: What's my special genius? How am I unique? Different?

It's important to realize that our future is in our hands -- and our vision calls on us to express our talents full out. Ask yourself: Where could I shine my light, for it to be truly seen? What are my talents? What comes easily? What brings me joy?

What’s more, when we join forces with like-minded people, we accomplish much more than we could on our own: synergy and innovation arise when we come together to move towards a better future.

Where am I being called to make a difference? Where might my people be found? What might be possible with a bigger network of like-minded people? What if making the world a better place were fun? What if it's not about converting others, but simply about spreading joy?

Now, let's talk about Saturn -- the traditional ruler of Aquarius: At the time of the Full Moon, Saturn in Sagittarius (also retrograde) trines the Sun and the North Node in Leo, and sextiles Jupiter in Libra

These aspects all bring opportunities for connecting with others from a mature, yet heart-centered place, while replacing and modifying "old" thinking/belief structures.

This is an opportunity for a realistic approach to that vision of a better future. We are no longer able to "do" life the same way we did it 10 (or even 5) years ago. We are more self-aware: our feelings, intuition, limitations...

A lot of us are waking up to the reality that everyone plays their part -- and that life is meant to be lived from a wholesome place, one that includes the heart and the head, in fact, all of who we are.

Ask yourself: What could I express responsibly and joyfully, that might bring about change in my own life — and perhaps even inspire others to follow my example? What actions could I take that would serve the collective? Or a particular group of people? Who could use my support at this time? And how can I give it?

There are so many more aspects we could talk about with this Lunar Eclipse chart — and I will go into more details about all the other aspects at the Monthly Forecasting Forum later today (on August 7th at 7pm EDT) click here to register -- but in the interest of time, I'm going to finish up for now with the last of three exact squares between Jupiter in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn

The first time we felt this aspect was in late November/early December of 2016, then again from mid-March until mid-April of 2017 — and this is the last of the squares that we will experience until August 21st, when the Solar Eclipse in Leo becomes exact.

Think back to Nov./Dec. 2016 and March/April 2017... what came up for you during those time periods? What changes in perception did you experience? What were you able to release from your past that was holding you back from building an empowering future?

With this combo, partnerships which are not mutually beneficial are likely to come under pressure to be renegotiated in favor of win-win solutions. Deep changes in our beliefs are now possible -- if we allow ourselves to let go of what no longer works around our social structures, relationships or long-term goals… We are called upon to surrender our fears and start trusting the divine power that is within each of us.

Ask yourself: How have my beliefs and expectations shifted since last year? Where did I have to surrender some fears so I could feel more empowered? In what ways has my perception of life expanded? What are some beliefs that are still asking to be transformed? What about my relationships? What about my long-term goals? What fears or attachments are showing up there? What might be possible if I came to this honestly and consciously?

This Lunar Eclipse shows us that there is always work to be done -- and we all have the power to do it. All we have to do is look into our own heart and see the strength and love lying there. As best as you can, trust that you have what it takes to make a difference for yourself and others.

Also in connection with this Eclipse, I want to share some really great news! My dear friend Krista Mitchell, who is an amazing Spiritual Author, Crystal Teacher, and Mystic, has agreed to collaborate with me and record Guided Meditations that are custom-tailored to each of my Full and New Moon videos. The Meditations give you some extra support for each Lunar cycle and come out twice a month! How amazing is that? :-)

So, with this Lunar Eclipse, we present the first Guided Meditation -- it's for sale on Krista's website: www.krista-mitchell.com -- get help staying grounded while fully embodying the highest energies of the Eclipse, engaging with the process actively, and feeling nurtured from within...

If getting through this Eclipse season with ease appeals, I highly recommend it! I have done many guided mediations with Krista, and in my humble opinion, she is TheBest

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 10-20 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer). And if you’d like to learn more about this month's Full Moon, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.

Tuesday (August 8th): The Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquariusuntil 5:56pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 3:07pm EDT, we enter a  Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 3 hours until 5:56pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to like-minded people and inspire them. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday mid-late afternoon ahead of time ;-)

Tuesday at 5:56pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all -- but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But... that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn't match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It's also a great time for releasing fears -- especially the ones based on a sense of separation -- and experiencing "oneness". Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them -- in fact, "going with the flow" is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Wednesday (August 9th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Tuesday early evening for details).

Wednesday late afternoon, a somewhat challenging Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 4:10pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until Thursday evening. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward; we need to make a choice. We need to develop inner awareness, so we can make adjustments.

This might concern compromising with others. Our fear of being manipulated might make us stubborn or manipulative ourselves. As best as you can, keep choosing the "better" alternative/the higher road, adjusting as needed.

We might be forced to focus, time and again, on details we would prefer to ignore. When life slows down, or becomes uncomfortable, simplify and be patient. We are changing and growing in ways that we can't comprehend right now. Stay as open and observant as you can.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-19 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Also on Wednesday: the Mercury station intensifies,as Mercury is preparing to come to halt this Saturday (Aug. 12th) -- beginning its 3.5-week retrograde phase (more on that later). During the station phase, until August 19th, we feel Mercury's energies more strongly.

Pay attention to anything "in your face" in any of the following areas: communications, short travels, transportation of any kind, communication devices. You will get a chance to make adjustments once Mercury is moving direct again (to be more precise, during the shadow phase that follows).

For the next 10 days, we might experience delays or misunderstandings; things could feel "off" or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time when getting ready to go somewhere -- and that goes for the journey itself, too -- especially if you intend to drive or use public transportation. Going with the flow is definitely recommended at this time.

Be extra-patient if you intend to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, especially if they are transportation or communication devices like anything connected with planes, trains, cars, phones, computers, iPads, etc. Best of all (if possible): wait until after Sept.19th, when the shadow phase is over.

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 9-11 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Thursday (August 10th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Tuesday early evening for details).

Thursday early morning, an opportune Mercury/Venus aspect becomes exact at 5:03am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until Saturday. This aspect gives us the opportunity for more direct and caring connections to others.

Through enhanced communication, we have a chance to clear up any misunderstandings or discomfort from the past. Promises and clarifications may grow from this, particularly in love relationships. It is also an opportune time to make new social contacts. Remember: this is an "opportunity" -- those aren't necessarily handed to us, we have to actively take advantage of them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or any personal planets) in 9-13 degrees of Virgo, Cancer, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, Libra or Taurus (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)

Thursday late morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:31am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until Saturday. Our idealism and high expectations could lead us into frustrating circumstances that leave us emotionally and physically drained.

Our vitality and emotional resilience increase as we learn how (and where) to get involved in projects we feel passionate about.

That said, we may also have difficulty establishing realistic limits with others and around our own self-expectations; this, combined with a tendency to laziness (especially where exercising good judgment is concerned) could leave us feeling "rudderless" or even overwhelmed. As best as you can therefore, allow for downtime, rest and spiritual connection.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-14 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)

Thursday at 9:38am EDT, we enter a  Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 16 hours until Friday at 1:22am EDT. We are pulled in two quite different directions:

On the one hand, we experience a desire for inner silence, emotional oneness, and the flow of creativity through us. On the other hand, we want to explore our belief structures and how they relate to the outside world.

We may therefore feel anxious or restless; as best as you can, slow down, acknowledge what is, know that all is well in each "now moment".

Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday all day and evening ahead of time ;-)

Thursday early evening, an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:24pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday.

We might want to take advantage of the opportunities this aspect provides -- it's an excellent time for creating win-win situations, resolving conflicts with others, having fun and boosting our self-confidence. In fact, we may well feel particularly vital and confident -- and inner optimism can bring rewards.

Humor can be a big part of this aspect too: We are able to laugh whole-heartedly, and see nothing but possibility in our lives, especially in our relationships. This could bring a healthy shift of attitude toward our one-on-one relationships -- whether personal or business.

Imagine you have a special lens which showed you the "bigger picture"... What would your relationships look like when you gazed through it?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-20 degrees of Leo, Libra, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Friday (August 11th) at 1:22am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Sunday morning. Life is an adventure, we're more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body's excess energy.

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 1:17am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Tuesday (Aug. 15th). This supports us with the flow of feelings, especially in connection to our relationships and whatever we most value. Allowing and accepting our feeling-body will feel easier, and that extends to others as well.

Our intuition and instincts are strongly supported here too. It becomes easier to trust and go with the flow -- we give ourselves permission to receive love and emotional support from humans, life itself, and the universe as a whole. As best as you can... let all flow.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Saturday (August 12th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Friday very early morning for details).

Saturday evening at 9:00pm EDT: Mercury comes to a still stand in 11.5 degrees of Virgo (starting its 3-week retrograde phase), slowing things down tremendously from Friday until Monday. Give yourself extra time to go to work this morning or to get things done. If you are traveling today, just simply go with the flow… you'll get there... eventually ;-) The same is true when it comes to all our technological devices…

This retrograde phase will last until Sept. 5th. People worry about Mercury retrogrades, but it’s important not to stop one's life during these times. As mentioned above, certain things may take longer -- but a retrograde gives us a chance to resolve things that have been keeping us from living our lives in a more wholesome way -- especially things that came up within the past three weeks.

Take time to investigate your own thought processes... ask yourself: What's not working smoothly in my life? What if I got really clear about that?

For the next three weeks, we get a chance to explore our inner narrative -- to connect from within to what we say to ourselves on a daily basis. It's also an opening for readdressing communications with others, learning experiences, or conditioning from the past.

This is an internal process -- a chance to honor and re-organize our thoughts, working from the inside to the outside. It's time to rethink, retool and release what no longer works.

We also get a chance to explore our daily routines and our health (including eating and exercise habits), connecting from within to what needs order and revision; we may even get to reorganize our life and improve it in a real and practical way, if we do the inner work of discerning what work for us and what doesn't.

As always: with Mercury retrograde, always read the small print -- and re-read a contract before signing (if you have to sign something) -- or ask another person for a second opinion... Basically, during these periods, it's best to be aware of any details that we might have overlooked... and check in with our intuition... and stay open to the possibility of renegotiation or adjustments, down the line!

In general, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reevaluating and reorganizing. This is especially true for our thought patterns and decisions (particularly those made in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the retrograde) -- but it's true of our lives in general: we can reach a clearer understanding as to what works, and what doesn’t, and what needs to change.

Reconnecting with old friends, clients and family members (especially siblings) is also favored at this time …

Mercury also represents our day-to-day mind; this too is experienced more internally at this time. When it comes to communication, make sure that what you say, write and hear is the same as the intended meaning -- and use the spell-checker ;-)

Another thing to take into consideration: how does each Mercury retrograde phase affect your personal birth chart. Do you have any personal planets that Mercury will align with during its retrograde journey? The houses of your chart each represent different areas of your life -- which of the houses in your chart is affected by this retrograde? And in fact...

Mercury's retrograde phase is a big part of the upcoming Solar Eclipse in Leo, as it will trigger the Eclipse point several times.

As with any retrograde, some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. That will be true if any of the following apply to you: Gemini or Virgo as your Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) -- or your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-12 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, or 27-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio.

Sunday (August 13th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 6:40am EDT (see Friday very early morning for details).

Sunday at 4:01am EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts a little over 2.5 hours, until 6:40am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make connections to people that can enthusiastically support your projects (and sentiments).

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday early morning ahead of time ;-)

Sunday at 6:40am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Tuesday late morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and "rushing things" goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It's probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses ;-)This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Monday evening).

Sunday early evening, a harmonious Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 5:06pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until Thursday (August 17th). Commitment and discipline are the keys to understanding our heart's desire right now. We face life on life's terms and feel up to doing so (especially when it comes to our creative self-expression).

Ask yourself: What could I achieve if I brought 5% more joy to my long-term plans?

Paradoxically, we can also bring a more mature approach to exploring our "inner child" energy. How might a supportive "inner parent" help your "inner child" feel safe to play?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Leo, Sagittarius or Aries? Or your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)? If either of those is true, you can expect to be more blessed by this aspect :-)

A head's up for next Monday (August 14th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Sunday morning for details). At 9:15pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 22.5 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this from the moment the Moon entered Taurus on Sunday morning. Also at 9:15pm EDT, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 13 hours, until next week Tuesday at 10:06am EDT
