Where do you need to take a leap of faith... or simply trust?

What is "Truth"? -- Astrology Forecast for Mon., Dec. 11th - Sun., Dec. 17th, 2017

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

For me, the theme of last week was very much connected to the Mercury/Saturn conjunction: more work than play, a serious focus on achievement, and a realistic approach...

Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
In last week's FORECASTING FORUM,we talked in great detail about Saturn changing signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn (its own sign), where it will journey until Dec. 2020!... Feel free to check out this 30-minute excerpt -- enjoy!

If you want to know how Saturn's journey in Capricorn will impact you personally in the next three years, feel free to get the mp4-video presentation. To purchase this 90+ minute webinar, click here

This week's headline items: Chiron, though no longer retrograde, is still stationing all week; Mercury is still retrograde all week. Saturn will be in 29 degrees of Sagittarius all week (this is the last degree of the sign). The Balsamic Moon phase begins on Thursday morning and the New Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Sunday night.

There will also be two Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday morning (for 1.5 hours), and Thursday evening (for almost 23.5 hours).

Monday (Dec. 11th) at 12:01am EST, the Moon moves into relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation -- but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to "yes" more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can't make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm -- even if it's "No" ;-) One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Chiron in Pisces is no longer retrograde, but is stationing all week, and Saturn will be in 29 degrees of Sagittarius all week -- the last degree of that sign -- this means that both of these planets are exalted all week. Our focus is directed to the healing process around our relationship to intuition and our emotional sensitivities -- and we are also directed to take a long, last look at our belief structures.

Ask yourself: Do the stories I tell myself about life open my heart and mind? Do they make me more loving or more fearful? Do they enrich my life or narrow it? What is "truth" -- does it exist? What is my truth?

What might true acceptance and kindness look like towards myself, others, and the world at large? What if a compassionate approach to my inner healing process actually benefited me and others?

Tuesday (December 12th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libraall day(see Monday very early morning for details).

Tuesday evening, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 21º of Sagittarius becomes exact at 8:49pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on; it will remain strong until Wednesday night. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks -- we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.

With this alignment taking place in Sagittarius, we may feel particularly rushed or impatient, but it may not always serve us to get stuck on being "right" or insisting on things going faster.

We want an active role in communications -- it's very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now has impact; so, as best as you can, choose your words wisely. If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are strong and our thinking independent -- and we're proud of both -- our egos may therefore get bruised if we don't feel "heard". As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinion and that's ok.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Wednesday (Dec. 13th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 8:59am EST (see Monday very early morning for details).

Wednesday at 7:27am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 1.5 hours, until 8:59am EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to collaborate with others and bring a new level of focus and authenticity to your exploration of life.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening and night ahead of time ;-) (Moon sextiles Saturn in Sagittarius)

Wednesday at 8:59am EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Friday evening. We feel things deeply and have "X-Ray Vision" and "Bullshit-Smelling Abilities" ;-)

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever... as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction -- it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It's therefore an excellent time to look at "old" fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity -- it's "in or out", "with us or against us", "love me or leave me". It can therefore be stormy -- a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we "work" the energies :-)

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward -- act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings -- no matter if they're "polite" or "timely". Feelings aren't facts, but they are information -- and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself -- and love thyself -- you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes "Force" to show up -- and that's ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Thursday (Dec. 14th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Wednesday morning for details).

Thursday late morning, Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon enters 11.5º of Scorpio. This lasts until Sunday night/Monday very early morning, when the New Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact (more on that later...however, feel free to watch my video on the subject -- will be posted by Thursday, Dec. 14th).

We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Thursday at 8:42pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 23.5 hours, until 8:07pm EST (Friday evening). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to focus on inner processes. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening and night ahead of time ;-) (Moon sextiles Pluto in Capricorn)

Friday (Dec. 15th):the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC  until 8:07pm EST (see Wednesday morning for details).

Friday morning, a Mercury/Venus alignment in 18º of Sagittarius becomes exact at 9:09am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until this Sunday evening. This is an excellent time to share about bravery, acts of heroism, physical activities, sports, new adventures or endeavors, ourselves, our personal goals -- or anything we feel passionate about -- and also about any teaching endeavors connected to those areas.

This alignment supports communicating from a passionate heart -- and in fact, it becomes essential to connect to people with whom we feel a strong affinity. We wish to form those connections in a spirit of harmony, directness and equality. In fact, we tend generally to have a strong sense of fairness at this time, and want to be around people who share this passion.

We also thoroughly enjoy the written and spoken word -- literature, wordplay, puns, moving conversations -- especially when these words speak of something new (or courageous).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-21 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces?  If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly; the same is true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, Libra or Taurus  (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)

Friday at 8:07pm EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Monday morning (Dec. 18th).We're strongly motivated to explore and learn. We're not likely to be big fans of routine -- diversity and new adventures work best at this time -- we're also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired -- but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we'd rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge -- just watch out you aren't overdoing or overstating things.

Friday late evening, a challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:46pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday night on; it will remain strong until Monday evening (Dec. 18). This asks us to stretch ourselves and expand from within. We might feel less confident about who we are, and have a hard time projecting a social "front". Our conditioned mind and wounded feelings may be out of harmony with each other.

As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or "less than". It is perfectly ok to have feelings and feel insecure once in a while; as best as you can, bring compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 21-28 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Virgo, or Gemini? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).

Saturday (Dec. 16th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittariusall day  (see Friday evening for details).

Saturday morning, a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 6:28am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday night on; it will remain strong until Monday evening (Dec. 18). This aspect connects us to a strong energy field -- physical and metaphysical. We feel alive, we want to create a better future for ourselves and others, and we want to have fun doing it. Watch out for messages from the Universe :-)

Originality and innovation come easy to us, as does connection with like-minded people. We can celebrate (and leverage) our idealism and unorthodox approaches to life's challenges. What if you expressed what's uniquely "you" without apologies? What if you did it with authenticity and pride? And, looking at things from a different angle: What might be possible with a bigger network of like-minded people?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 21-28 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will feel more blessed by this planetary connection than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Sunday (Dec. 17th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittariusall day (see Friday evening for details).

Sunday early morning starts with lots of mental energy and an adventurous attitude.

Towards the late morning/mid-day, we still have lots of energy at our disposal, plus a desire to connect with others and have some adventures. Physical exercise or activities with others are great ways to channel this energy.

Towards the later evening, we may need to make some adjustments again. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to heal past wounding or insecurities.

You may also feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.

Sunday late evening: we might find ourselves wanting to connect with like-minded people, so we can share our enthusiasm and vision for life with them.

As Sunday is also the last day before the New Moon becomes exact, this is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days have passed after the New Moon.

Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.

Sunday night/Monday very early morning at 1:30am EST, the New Moon in 26.5º of Sagittariusbecomes exact. I will write in more detail about this New Moon in next week's forecasts -- for now, feel free to watch my video on the subject: (will be posted by Dec. 14th)

A head's up for nextMonday (Dec. 18th): The Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 8:33am EST (see Friday evening for details). Monday very early morning, at 1:30am EST, the New Moon in 26.5 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. At 8:10am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 23 minutes, until 8:33am ESTAt that time, the Moon moves into Capricorn, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)

Please note that all times given below are Eastern Standard Time -- to change the listed times to your own timezone, I recommend clicking here for the time and date converter

The theme of last week for me was "slow and steady wins the race"... It was one of the most exciting weeks of my life, as I was able to make a long-time dream reality -- this is something that I had been investigating and visualizing for years now. Unfortunately, my Sagittarian hubby was ill last week and couldn't talk much, but he summed up the Mercury Station in Sagittarius nicely for me: "When you are not able to talk much, it makes you stop and think about whether what you are about to say is worth saying."

Before we get to this week's forecast, I have one quick announcement:
Last chance to join me for this month's FORECASTING FORUM, this Wednesday, Dec. 6th, 2017 at 1pmPST/ 4pm EST/9pm GMT (London time). Please note thatwe will be talking about Saturn changing signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn (its own sign) -- where it will journey until Dec. 2020!

If you want to know how Saturn's journey in Capricorn will impact you personally, join me live or sign up for the mp4-video presentation. Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. To register now, click here

This week's headline items: Chiron comes to a halt on Tuesday, as it prepares to start slowly moving direct again, after its 5-month retrograde. Mercury's station ends Tuesday night; Mars changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Saturday, very early in the morning... and the last Quarter Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Sunday, very early in the morning.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday afternoon (for almost 1.5 hour), Wednesday early afternoon (for a little over 2.5 hours), Friday late afternoon (for 29 minutes), and Sunday late evening (for 2 hours).

Monday (December 4th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Geminiuntil 3:37pm EST. We like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. "Busy" feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way...

The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-) This Moon placement is also connected to the Full Moon (which was exact on Sunday late morning). If you want to know what to expect for the next two weeks, I recommend you click here to watch my Full SuperMoon video

Monday at 2:13pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for almost 1.5 hours, until 3:37pm EST. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between connecting with others, and rethinking your attitudes and perspectives on life.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday mid-afternoon ahead of time ;-)

Monday at 3:37pm EST, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days ;-)

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Tuesday (December 5th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday at 4:47am EST, after a 5-month retrograde, Chiron comes to a halt (in order to turn direct) in 24 degrees of Pisces. As you may recall from last week's post, Chiron is the wounded healer; in Pisces, it brings our attention towards our emotional and spiritual wounds. As best as you can, watch out for any triggers that are connected to your past.

We have been connecting internally to our healing process for the last five months; as Chiron picks up speed, we become ready to bring that healing (and the healing process) to the outside world. What did you discover about your emotional and spiritual wounds? How could others benefit from your discoveries?

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my Chiron-workshop: "Healing with Astrology" Click here for more info

Or to watch a 15-minute except from our most recent Forum about the Neptune and Chiron Station phases, click here

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: Do you have your Ascendent, your Career point or any of your personal planets in 22-26 degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius? If you do, you may need to take your emotional or spiritual wounds under the magnifying glass. Take a closer look at how you can bring compassion and understanding to those wounds/insecurities.

Tuesday night, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station -- but moving backward through the sky, as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to).

We have a chance to do some internal work on any communication and/or thinking issues that came up over the last three weeks, that were connected to our belief systems and sense of adventure; for more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here

Tuesday all day and Wednesdaybefore 3pm EST, is your last chance to sign up for Wednesday's FORECASTING FORUM. Please note that Saturn is changing signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn (it's own sign) -- where it will journey until Dec. 2020!

We will address this planetary movement in more detail in relationship to our own birth charts. If you want to know how this is going to impact you personally, join me live or sign up for the mp4-video presentation.

Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get -- and it's only $24 for the 90-minute webinar. To register now, click here

If you would like to join live, please keep in mind that registration will close an hour before the live event begins, if you register after 3pm EST on Wednesday you will receive the mp4-video recording of the webinar.

Wednesday (Dec. 6th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Canceruntil 3:37pm EST (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday morning, a Mercury/Saturn alignment in 25.5º of Sagittariusbecomes exact at 7:05am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday evening (Nov. 25th) on; it will remain strong until this Saturday evening. This connection strengthens our ability to make realistic decisions connected to our need for expansion and learning. We are more able to come from a place of integrity and maturity when planning anything long-term.

We prefer to have serious conversations with others that move us forward, closer to a common goal. It's an excellent period for reviewing, reassessing, perfecting, and improving our thinking patterns, beliefs, and  foreign affairs. Even though we might have a more negative or critical outlook initially, this alignment serves the purpose of reaching a balanced, mature, and realistic state.

Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we will experience this aspect several times and it will last longer than usual; this makes this alignment more important this year than in others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 22-29 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Wednesday late morning, an opportune Mercury/Mars aspectbecomes exact at 10:58am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday evening (Nov. 26th) on; it will remain strong until this Friday evening. This provides an opportunity to connect thought to action. Body and mind can align, if we choose. Words and deeds come quickly; we can be not only quick, but brave. As with any opportunity, we have to "take" this one: it will not happen by itself.

What actions are calling to you? How might those actions be connected to a belief you have about life? About relationships? About the balance of your inner masculine and feminine? What might you see if you looked at the bigger picture?

Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we've experienced this aspect once before, between Nov. 15th and 19th. Think back to that time: Did any thoughts or beliefs come up that you were able to put into action right away? What did you discover about your relationships?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Sagittarius, Libra, Aquarius,Leo or 0-1 degrees of Capricorn, Scorpio, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries)

Wednesday at 12:56pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 2.5 hours, until 3:37pm EST. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and (as best as you can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.

Make space both for collaborative projects that you feel passionate about and for emotional or family issues. As always with a Moon VoC, do your best to avoid starting anything brand-new -- it's best to stick to "the routine", or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday afternoon ahead of time ;-)

Wednesday at 3:37pm EST, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Friday evening. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired -- or at the very least acknowledged -- for our greatness :-)

So hand out some compliments -- let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things... be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no "outer children" around, how about getting in touch with your "inner child" -- it's definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Wednesday late afternoon, an opportune Mars/Saturn aspectbecomes exact at 4:21pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Sunday evening on; it will remain strong until this Saturday evening. This aspect is an opportunity to have more self-discipline and self-motivation in our lives -- we could find an increased focus on our work and activities, coupled with a sense of purpose.

We have a chance to face life with more purpose and maturity. We tend to be more practical than usual, and our progress in most projects is perhaps slow but steady. This can be a very productive time in our lives. Remember: this is an "opportunity" -- this isn't necessarily handed to us, we have to make the most of it. It's our choice.

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 26-29 degrees of Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius, Leo or 0-1 degreesof Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars rules Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Also, last but not least, Wednesdaybefore 3pm EST is your very last chance to sign up for Wednesday's FORECASTING FORUM.

Thursday (Dec. 7th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-lovingLeoall day (see Wednesday afternoon for details).

Thursday late morning, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to have some fun, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet?

Thursday early afternoon: we feel a need for acknowledgment and adoration... and also for deep, authentic -- even intimate -- connections to others. As best as you can, get creative!

Thursday evening, things flow nicely; we feel excited about new adventures. We have an opportunity to connect, explore, and become part of something exciting.

Thursday late evening feels a little uneasy. We need to develop an inner awareness around our two seemingly opposite pulls: on the one hand, a strong desire to accomplish; on the other, our need for play and fun.

We are asked to bring awareness to whatever it is we feel most passionate about: Are we after laughter and joy? Or intense and authentic emotion? As best as you can, make adjustments as needed, and drop any self-judgment.

Friday (Dec. 8th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leountil 6:09pm EST (see Wednesday afternoon for details).

Friday at 5:40pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 29 minutes, until 6:09pm EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to have fun connecting with others and doing things that bring you joy. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Friday at 6:09pm EST, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Sunday night/Monday very early morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world -- things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon, exact on Sunday very early morning (more about that later...)

Saturday (Dec. 9th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day  (see Friday evening for details).

Saturday at 3:59am EST, Marsleaves harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and enters passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until until Jan. 26th 2018.

Mars in Libra is constantly striving to bring fairness to the world; Mars in Scorpio knows that life simply isn't fair. Mars in Libra seeks the middle ground; Mars in Scorpio says "It's black or white: Pick one!" It's all about accepting challenges and making changes with concentrated energy and willpower.

For the next seven weeks, we rely heavily on our gut feelings. We can see through others, could potentially exploit or (quietly but formidably) oppose them. We project cool equilibrium -- but below the surface may be another story -- in general, we don't want to show our hand…

We may be attracted to sexual taboos or fantasies in which the "other" surrenders their body and will completely -- and our sex appeal could perhaps be strong enough to bring that about.

Mars in Scorpio has a provocative quality to it: We might test ourselves and others. We make all kinds of rules and goals, just for the personal satisfaction that comes from achieving or mastering them. Our survival instincts are stronger; we more easily embrace our own animal nature, without guilt.

All this is especially true if you have an Aries or Scorpio Sun- or Rising-sign. Scorpios will feel unusually energized, passionate and direct -- and physically stronger. Aries will feel more intensely connected to others (and to life) for the next 7 weeks :-)

Sunday (Dec. 10th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Friday evening for details).

Sunday very early morning, at 2:51am EST, the last Quarter Moon in 18.5 degrees of Virgobecomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Virgo Friday evening. The Moon in detail-oriented, helpful and practical Virgo makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius. This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change.

This Moon phase brings us closer to Dec. 18th, which will bring the New Moon in Sagittarius. During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be Nov. 18th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you?

As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-21 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, orSagittarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Sunday early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspectbecomes exact at 4:29am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will remain strong until Tuesday Dec 12th. This aspect supports a connection between our higher mind and our day-to-day mind. We are able to receive inspiration from higher places and maybe even look into the future.

We are able to communicate our vision for a better future; insights arise from these communications. Original, creative insights and ideas can appear out of nowhere; as best as you can, stay open to these unique "downloads" -- they might change how you see and proceed with life ;-)

This is a good time to communicate online, engage in computer-related activities or scientific projects, and also for anything metaphysical. Group activities like Meetups are great things to be involved with right now -- especially if they allow us to share our vision for a better future.

Due to Mercury's retrograde phase, we've experienced this aspect once before, between Nov. 22nd and 29th. Think back to those few days: Did any conversations revolutionize your thinking? Did an insight come through about yourself in regards to your sense of freedom or progress?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-28 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries or Leo? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Sunday morning, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspectbecomes exact at 8:47am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday night on; it will remain strong until next week Tuesday evening (Dec. 12th).  We can be confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money -- so it's best to wait until the transit is over, before making big moves in these areas -- if you make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships, it's likely you will not see things as they truly are.

We are actually being asked to have faith; to let our intuition guide us in money and love -- if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 5 days -- it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 8-15 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini  or  Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Sunday afternoon, a challenging Mercury/Chiron aspectbecomes exact at 1:33pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Tuesday evening (Dec. 12th). This combination might bring up some insecurities in our verbal, in-person or email interactions.

That said, this could also be an opportunity for healing; we are energized to move past harsh criticism of ourselves or others, towards more loving and compassionate structures for thinking and communicating. As best as you can, stretch yourself -- and be open to bringing love and understanding to it all (and that includes you) :-)

As with some other aspects in this forecast, Mercury's retrograde phase means we've experienced this one once before -- between Nov. 21st and 27th -- as you look back to those 7 days, ask yourself: Did any conversations bring up (or even trigger) wounds, hurts, or insecurities from the past? Did you have any insight about yourself in regards to those wounds or insecurities?

Chiron's is still in its Station-phase -- and this provides an important opportunity for healing. Take a look at my Chiron workshop for some healing and understanding about your own inner wounded child -- you can click here to purchase -- or watch the 15-minute excerpt from my most recent Forum about the Neptune and Chiron Station phases: click here

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or any personal planets in 21-27 degrees of Sagittarius, Pisces, Virgo or Gemini? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Sunday late evening, at 10:02pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 2 hours, until Sunday night/Monday very early morning at 12:01am EST. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

Make space both for looking at your beliefs, to see which ones are sound, and for organizing your daily routines. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late evening/night ahead of time ;-)

A head's up for nextMonday (Dec. 11th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgountil 12:01am EST (see Friday evening for details). At that time, the Moon will move into relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday early morning of next week. More about all the details in next week’s forecast ;-)
